Un vrai accueil méridionale avec un hôte qui vit pour sa région. Au delà de la chambre qui était très confortable, calme et décorée avec gout, au delà du petit déjeuner préparé dans l'instant et très bon, notre hôte donne des consiels sur les visites à faire avec beaucoup de connaissances sur le territoire. Individuelle hochwertige Einrichtung mit Kunstobjekten, die uns sehr zugesagt hat. Gutes Frühstück und ein herzlicher Gastgeber, der uns Tips für Restaurants und Sightseeing gegeben hat. Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht da, würden jederzeit wieder dort buchen.
- Irmtraud (10/5): Stylisches B&B mit schöner Kunst und Natur - Der Besitzer Salvatore hat mit seinem B&B ein kleines Paradies inmitten schönster Natur auf seinem großen Grundstück geschaffen. Er hat ein altes Steinhaus sehr stil- und geschmackvoll restauriert. Es gibt fünf Zimmer, wir hatten gleich das erste im Erdgeschoss. Es war witzig und mit schönen Kunstwerken eingerichtet, ebenso das Bad. Alles war total sauber und gepflegt, nirgends Spuren an den Wänden und die Armaturen im Bad waren wie neu. Alles riecht frisch, die Bettwäsche und die Handtücher sind makellos. Top! Im Erdgeschoss gibt es auch einen hübschen Frühstücksraum sowie eine Küche, in der Salvatore das Frühstück zubereitet (und die man als Gast nutzen darf). Er hat uns extra Tisch und Stühle nach draußen gestellt, damit wir in der Sonne frühstücken konnten. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohlgefühlt und wurden nett und zuvorkommend behandelt. Hund Lucky ist auch sehr süß und ich durfte mit Salvatores Mama den Esel und die anderen Tiere füttern ;-) Das B&B liegt ein bisschen außerhalb von Piazza Armerina, was uns nicht gestört hat, da man zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten sowieso mit dem Auto fahren muss. Nach den Besichtigungen - Salvatore hat hier gute Zusatztipps - haben wir uns einen gemütlichen Nachmittag im Garten des B&B gegönnt. Im Sommer ist dort auch ein Pool in Betrieb. Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt und wir können das B&B nur empfehlen.

Heel simpel maar zeer modern ingericht. Heel proper, grote badkamer. Wij waren er in april, zwembad is dan natuurlijk nog afgesloten. Er waren verschillende zitbanken en 1 ligstoel. Deze stond bij mijn kamer. Misschien fijn om ook in het voorjaar enkele ligzetels te voorzien. Want het was zalig genieten in het zonnetje op het terras voor de kamer.

Breakfast was wonderful with fresh delicious foods and nice company with other guests.

The presence of animals on the property added a charming and relaxing touch. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade honey, which was a real treat. The host gave fantastic recommendations for local restaurants and things to do, which made exploring the area even more enjoyable. The swimming pool was huge and beautifully maintained, and having on-site parking was a big plus. Short drive to centre. A truly memorable and refreshing escape! Nothing.

- Loïc (10/5): Fantastisch verblijf in de rust met attente gastheer! - De rust en locatie zijn onovertroffen! De gastheer was zeer attent, maar gaf ons voldoende ruimte en privacy om te genieten van de omgeving en het zwembad. Hij gaf ook veel tips voor uitstapjes in de buurt en in heel Sicilië. De kamer was zeer ruim, proper en had alle comfort. Het ontbijt was een heerlijke verzameling van lokale producten. Zeer uitgebreid en lekker! Op wandelafstand van het dorpje (15minuten), waardoor een avondje uit niet met de auto moest. Dorpje zelf was ook heel gezellig!

- NICOLA (10/5): Un luogo di pace per chi ha bisogno di staccare - Purtroppo il mio soggiorno presso La Quercia e l'Asino è stato brevissimo: una sola notte. Ho, però, molto ammirato il lavoro di Salvatore, il gestore, che ha praticamente tirato su da solo questa bellissima e molto accogliente struttura, in cui ho visto davvero molto lavoro, molta passione e molta inventiva. La Quercia e l'Asino è fuori dal centro urbano - comunque non distante dalla città - ed è immerso nel verde, tra gli alberi e gli animali. La pioggia venuta giù durante il pomeriggio ha sì vanificato il mio accesso alla piscina - che per me è quasi indispensabile - ma ha amplificato gli odori della terra, dell'erba, del fogliame a cui al giorno d'oggi non facciamo più tanta attenzione. L'asino - l'animale preferito da Salvatore - è presente in carne ed ossa ma anche come elemento della stanza dove ho dormito: era nel portachiavi, ma costituiva anche un simpatico elemento d'arredo. Come elementi d'arredo ho anche trovato una sedia da scuola materna (il lampadario), un banchetto (in funzione di comodino. L'altro comodino era un'altra sedia appesa al muro!). Nel bagno per appendere le tovaglie ho trovato i cerchi delle botti, in composizioni che dimostrano tutta la creatività del gestore (spero che le foto che pubblico rendano giustizia alla stanza). Il gestore: gentilissimo, corre da una cosa all'altra, parla del suo lavoro senza vantarsi: per quel poco che l'ho conosciuto, mi è parso un ragazzo semplice e diretto.

La tenuta è immersa in una bellissima natura, autentica e ben curata. In una zona separata dalle stanze sono presenti i recinti (pulitissimi) degli animali da fattoria come asini, caprette e galline. È anche presenta una bellissima piscina e il gestore Salvatore è una persona gentile e disponibile che renderà il vostro soggiorno piacevolissimo e vi accoglierà con grandissima disponibilità. Perfect place to relax and recharge. The room was spotless bed was very comfortable. Salvador the host is a true gentleman and can’t do enough for you. He’s happy to provide you with all the information that is needed and is happy to help you with recommendations about all areas of Sicily. The town is a 3 minute drive and has excellent restaurants and is very authentic and quaint Highly recommend, wish we could have stayed for longer. A highlight of our trip to Sicily.

Salvatore, il proprietario è davvero il punto di forza de La Quercia e l’Asino. La sua gentilezza, la sua accoglienza e la cura che mette in tutto sono davvero uniche e difficili da trovare. Una struttura che è un’esperienza da vivere grazie al riutilizzo di ogni oggetto, di ogni singolo angolo all’interno delle camere e all’esterno. Posizione strategica per visitare la stupefacente Villa Romana del Casale di Piazza Armerina con i meravigliosi mosaici, il Museo di Aidone, l’area archeologica di Morgantina. Torneremo sicuramente. Even my 10month old was treated like a King to a 5 star breakfast every morning. We also had the use of the kitchen and dining room during our stay so were able to prepare our own lunch and dinner. Située à proximité de Piazza Armerina et surtout de la Villa Romana Del Casale, cette ancienne ferme retapée est absolument charmante. Il est facile de rayonner aux alentours, notamment à Caltagirone et au Parco Archeologico de Morgantina. Tous les matins, Salvatore nous préparait des petits déjeuners maisons avec des produits locaux. L’endroit est très calme, la chambre que nous avions était spacieuse : repos assuré ! Salvatore est un hôte attentif, merci à lui pour le petit service rendu concernant notre valise ;) Tout était très bien.

Pequeno almoço fantástico, tudo fresco e muito variado. Por falta de tempo nosso não conseguimos visitar os animais. Dicas para jantar, dar passeios, tudo foi feito pelo nosso anfitrião para tornar a nossa visita o melhor possível. Absolutamente excelente.

- Deborah (10/5): Peaceful retreat near the Villa Casale Romano - Salvatore was the perfect host and this beautifully located b&b is extremely clean with good facilities. We liked his quirky style, the b&b seems like a passion and Salvatore was so helpful and kind. His breakfast is well prepared and varied, I loved the fresh bread rolls and the cappuccino. The location is very peaceful and much improved with the two resident goats and little donkeys. It was a welcome pastoral retreat with a marvellous view of Piazza Armerina. There's absolutely nothing to dislike! Thanks for a lovely visit.

He makes great olives, which we tasted at breakfast, and bought on site. We absolutely do not like that one cant dispose of toilet paper in the toilet, and have to collect it in a waste bin. It is very uncomfortable and certainly something I would like to be able to filter out in Booking.com. My expectation is that any facility should have the trivial basic toilet amenities, which includes being able to flush everything down the toilet, and not have this awful role of putting the used paper in a bin. Sorry to bring this up, but I would like to know about this before, and choose a hotel that has complete and normal toilet facilities. I think it is basic and trivial, and Booking.com customers should be able to know in advance what to expect, or to be able to select hotels that do not require this.
