Ian (10/5): The hotel was wonderful and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. - The hotel was so clean! I don't know how Trudi manages to keep it so clean. Communication was great and Trudi and Alan were flexible on arrival times. The hotel has it's own parking which is at the back of the property, although we were lucky enough to grab a spot right in front of the hotel and stayed there for the couple of days of our trip. It is a lovely walk along the prom to get to the centre and only a few minutes walk to a selection of places to eat. We decided to walk to the iconic art-deco Midland hotel for our evening meal. The breakfast was delicious and the host was quite happy to mix, or add to, the options on the menu. It definately set us up for the day. We were exceptionally happy as we were upgraded to the room with the Balcony! We will be going again! Thank you Trudy and Alan.

robert (10/5): Magnificent, the perfect place to enjoy an enjoyable break. - Recommended by friends, couldn't fault it, accommodation was great and everything I'd expected from the recommendation. The owners were the perfect hosts, couldn't do enough for you. Breakfasts were fabulous too and set me up for the long days out I was there for. It's not right in the centre, but it was what I'd expected from the clear information that I had seen on the site and from the recommendation too. I also saw it as a positive, as it meant it was a little bit quieter than being in the middle of everything. The walk along to and from the venues I was using was flat and easy to navigate, with the obvious sea views and the promenade to enjoy. Car park round the back was great too, as well as roadside parking out the front of the Hotel on day of departure to make it easy for loading my luggage up. Nothing to dislike at all. It was peaceful, relaxing and offered a warm friendly environment to rest after long and busy days at the events I was attending.

Jim (9/5): Great Place to stay - Trudi & Alan are brilliant hosts and very meticulous in what they do to keep the hotel in top condition. Breakfast is a brilliant play on an English Breakfast and it works as other guests said as well. Plenty of parking as the hotel has its own car park as well as being able to park on the street at the front of it (space permitting). The trek up the stairs to the top room but knew about it before we arrived. Remembering to duck went getting out of bed on the window side.

Sarah (10/5): A comfortable hotel! - The setup of the room and the cleanliness of the hotel were really good. The hosts were welcoming and very friendly too, and you feel at ease to communicate with them! The breakfast was good, and my son really enjoyed the scrambled egg on the muffin with bacon strips! The hosts made sure we were happy throughout our stay. Therefore, we would recommend this hotel ! We would have loved at least a full English breakfast on one of the mornings... but everything was well presented and nice. Overall, there was nothing to complain about.
Laura (10/5): Exceptional stay with stunning views! - Just checked out today after spending 2 nights here for the first time in the Irish Sea room. I would highly recommend this room as the views of the beach and mountains are absolutely stunning! The hotel itself was inviting and clean on arrival, and the room was incredibly clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. There is a kettle, coffee, tea bags, and biscuits in the room and an iron and ironing board. There is a TV too. There is no fridge in the room, but there is a fridge downstairs where you can help yourself to milk as needed. The shower was lovely and powerful, with plenty of hot water, and there are shower gels, hand wash etc in the bathroom. The hosts were really lovely and friendly, and we had a lovely breakfast this morning. There are various hot and cold options to choose from, so something for everyone. We found it to be extremely good value for money, and we are glad we chose this hotel and would absolutely stay here again in the future. Thank you.. Ditchfield (10/5): Absolutely worth every penny - We were greeted in a friendly manner. The hotel is one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in and the decor tastefully done. The breakfast was amazing. Would highly recommend, the bonus being secure parking. Couldn't fault anything
Andrew (9/5): Travelled to visit family and the hotels location was close to them we are out and about most of the day good to return - Clean comfortable with friendly and helpful staff there was a nice homely atmosphere in the hotel certainly a relaxing environment If anything the bath was small in our room but not a major problem as the shower was good with plenty hot water
Geoff (8/5): I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be staying here again. - The proprietors Trudi & Alan are a really friendly couple who are willing to offer you help and information relating to the venue and surrounding areas. Alan's initial welcome was like he was inviting you me to stay in his home, not just a B&B. The room I chose "Trafalgar" had a sea view, its own balcony & arm chairs located in the bay window overlooking the bay, perfect for watching the sun go down. The room has all the things that you would expect (with plenty of socket outlets) & makes for a comfortable stay, there is even miniature fresh milk bottles available in a fridge at the bottom of the stairs (nice touch). Parking is plentiful & free & is right on the seafront outside the property. This is an extremely petty gripe, ordering of breakfast (hot food) must be done the day before, but to be fair to Alan & Trudi it was extremely nice and very well presented, however the menu is limited (No full English)

linda (10/5): Fabulous sea view across the bay. - Sea view of the Cumbrian mountain range was fabulous. Grange over sands you can see clearly. Beaches at Morecambe bay are sandy and great for dog walking. Hotel food was divine. Bedroom was five star with shower very modern. Owners were really friendly and welcoming. I had a really great experience. I had a cold n cough so couldn't appreciate the evening entertainment in the bar.
Dave (8/5): Decent stay - Comfy bed, freshly cooked breakfast but no beans 😞 and good location. Staff friendly. Woken up each night by what sounded like a boiler or something making a racket.

whelan (10/5): Homely and friendly and gave me a very pleasant stay . Cat parking was a great help too. - Very happy with the breakfast choice. Very pleasant walking distance to everything along the seafront. Lovely couple owners, very happy to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Would definitely visit here again.
David (10/5): Dave's visit September 24. - Trudie & Alan were very friendly & welcoming. The room was spacious & comfortable. A desk in the room would have been nice, but they were fine about me setting up my laptop in the dining room. Could have offered a wider choice for breakfast. However, the breakfast was well cooked & the choice of fresh fruit was very welcome.

Emma (10/5): A splendid base for a visit to Morecambe. - I liked everything about Shipping Lanes. We received a warm and friendly welcome. The breakfast was smashing and the room was exactly as described. It was comfortable and spotless. There was a lovely view of the sea and we were within a short walking distance of everything we wanted to get to. Nothing.

Aileen (10/5): We have booked for the same weekend next year as we enjoyed our stay so much …..Alan and Trudi are great hosts - Great welcome , the hotel is immaculately clean with great facilities (they have thought of everything a guest would need) we had a beautiful room with comfy bed , lovely decor and balcony ……tea/coffee making facilities with plenty of supplies and fresh milk provided daily ………great pre ordered breakfast choices, cereals , yoghurt , fruit and toast Nothing !!

Jayne (10/5): Excellent weekend away, top comfort and service. Free car park. - The breakfast and service was excellent. Good selection of healthy choices help yourself cold food. Hot food cooked to order. The tea was served hot as it should be and all members of staff friendly and polite. I think they are on top of everything and there was nothing I didn’t like.

Sarah (10/5): EXCELLENT - The location, building itself, presentation & the owners. A wonderful couple. Both lovely & friendly from the first moment to checking out. We were 100% happy with our room. It was spotless, clean, fresh and we also loved the pillows. The on-going friendly / community feel & atmosphere at the seating & dinning areas'. The breakfasts' were cooked to specific requests. All to perfection. Wide range of choices, fruit/ cereals, cofffee/ tea/ apple juice etc. Everything was brilliant. My children also loved it here too. The Weather was 50/50. But myself & kids still enjoyed spending time in our room when needed and chatting with everyone there too. On good days out. We also met so many other great local people living & working in Morecombe. A beautiful place & lovely people too.

Carole (8/5): Lovely stay, enjoyed it, recommended. - Friendly welcome from Trudi. Was good, & convenient, to have a bar on site. Lovely choice at breakfast & very well-cooked. All areas of the B&B were clean & neat. Both Trudi & Allen were good hosts. Room a bit noisy with road noise but it wasn't really a problem as earplugs were provided.
Janet (9/5): We had a fantastic time the weather was great 😊 and the hotel made it more enjoyable thank you 🙏 - Very clean and lovely couple who own the hotel made us feel very welcome, would definitely go back thank you from me pete and tia the dog 😁 We was on the top floor and we struggled a bit with the stairs dog being old, but next time I will make sure we get a lower floor
jane (9/5): Great Hotel - Location is excellent and Trudy and John are great hosts, They made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed the banter. Breakfast was good This is a dog friendly hotel that was spotless considering there was lots of dogs there, you would not know any dogs had been there Loved it so much, we have booked for next year Although our room was lovely, it would not be suitable for everyone due to being on the top floor, especially if you have dogs that need walking
