- Dwight (8/5): Een heerlijk verblijf op een fantastische locatie - De zwembaden bij de villa en de algemene zwembad. Activiteiten voor de kinderen. Zwembad bij de villa. De geur in de badkamer was soms wat minder. Verder niks aan te merken.
- Daniel (1/5): The worst experience I ever had - We chose this place because we were tired of eating out and wanted a place with a kitchenette including a stove for cooking. The photos of the room we booked specifically showed an electric stove and the facilities list mentioned kitchenette (see attached photos from their page on booking.com). When we entered the room we found out there was no stove . When pointing this out to the staff they simply said “oh, that’s just in the photos. We don’t supply a stove”. When I insisted that this was the reason we chose the place they changed their mind and said they could give us one but for a charge of 500 THB per day. I told them that this was unacceptable and that I want to leave and get a full refund but the lady in charge simply laughed in my face and said that’s not not possible .I then told her I’m going to write to booking.com. We returned to our room and I wrote to customer service . Then, just a few minutes later and before customer service even replied , I received the attached message from the property saying that they had talked to booking.com and that they confirmed that I could leave and get a full refund . I then swiftly found an alternative place , also through booking.com, and in less than half an hour from check in we were out of there . Later in that day I started getting messages from booking.com such as the attached one that the settlement was not reached with the property . Later on they notified me that they are going to “compensate” me as an act good will with 2,490 THB in credits for future bookings (see attached). When asking them again and again what about the booking itself which cost me more than 13,000THB I have been totally ignored by them since . In the meanwhile I have received a message from the property that they have been charged by booking.com the full amount but when asked by me to see proof of such a charge , nothing has been presented. So beware of the property !!! That they are no less than criminals . That booking.com deserted me at the moment of need.

- Petra (7/5): - - kostenloser Trinkwasserautomat auf dem Zimmer - 2 schöne Pools mit modernen Liege + Sitzmöglichkeiten - gutes Frühstück (v.a. für Kinder) (bei uns gab es Buffet für 250 Baht/Erwachsene bzw 200 Baht/Kind - kann auch ala Card bestellen) - zentrale Lage: 7/11, Tops und the Wave nightmarket direkt gegenüber, Walking street fishermans Village gleich um die Ecke, 15 min zum Flughafen - moderne Zimmerausstattung - Fahrzeuge für Kinder (Roller, Laufrad) stehen zur Verfügung - das Indoor Spielzimmer war das Highlight für meine 4 jährige Tochter. - verschiedene Aktivitäten für Kinder: malen, Armbänder machen, Filmeabend, Zöpfe flechten usw.. - schöne gemütliche Gartenanlage - in der Küche alles notwendige vorhanden: Spülmittel, Lappen, Handtücher, Geschirr, Besteck, Müslischale, Gläser, Becher, Wasserkocher, Mikrowelle, großer Kühlschrank - Rezeption über App sehr schnell und unkompliziert erreichbar (haben Föhn angefordert, da keiner auf dem Zimmer war und Wasserspender ging nicht mehr - in ein paar Minuten war jemand da) - schwimmring, Luftmatratze, Schwimmwesten und andere Pool Spielsachen vorhanden - Personal im Restaurant sehr unaufmerksam (wird nicht abgeräumt usw) - Sauberkeit im Restaurant (Tische und Boden klebrig) - Betten sehr hart - Bad sehr klein - abends sehr Laute Live Musik!! JEDEN ABEND VON 17 - 1 Uhr nachts - Baustelle hinter dem Resort (tagsüber sehr lauter Baulärm) - keine kleinen Handtücher (zum Hände abtrocknen) - leider kein Trampolin vorhanden, obwohl es auf der Werbung beworben wird - Schaukelsitz kaputt, hängt trotzdem am Schaukelgestell obwohl es scharfkantige Teile hat - insgesamt hat der Garten viel mehr Potential. Bis auf die kaputte Schaukel und das Spielzelt (das keiner nutz) keine Outdoor Spielgeräte - fast nur Kindergerichte auf der Speisekarte. Wenig Auswahl für Erwachsene - Terrasse des Zimmers klein und wenig Privatsphäre, Stühle auf Terrasse unbequem - Schimmel am Duschvorhang
- Nina (7/5): Tolle Unterkunft mit ein paar Abstrichen - Das Maya Resort bietet alles, was man als Familie braucht: von einer Baby Badewanne und einem Hochstuhl im Zimmer bis hin zu Spielzeug am Pool und einem Indoor Spielraum. Das Resort ist direkt am Fishermans Village, direkt gegenüber ist ein schöner Nachtmarkt, der etwas ruhiger ist und somit für Familien auch gut geeignet ist. Leider war unser Zimmer nicht schallisoliert und wir haben nachts die Musik der angrenzenden Bars und Nachtmärkte bis ca. 2 Uhr gehört. Wer Ruhe sucht, sollte das beachten. Das Frühstück und der Spielraum öffnet erst um 8 Uhr. Wir hatten es nicht gebucht, aber mit unserem Kind, das früh wach ist, hätten wir sehr lange aufs Frühstück warten müssen.

- Karin (6/5): Erg duur voor wat je krijgt - Centrale ligging. Kindvriendelijk met name kleine kinderen Check in sloot om 1900 uur. Wij waren er 1855 uur vanwege vertraging met de ferry. Geen uitleg, kamer werd gewezen en al het personeel verdween. Wij moesten een ochtend vlucht halen dus kregen geen ontbijt omdat ook in de ochtend de receptie gesloten is. Sleutel maar in de kamer achtergelaten. Veel lawaai van de naastgelegen markt. Beddengoed rook niet fris maar naar bloed. Voor de prijs van 161 euro voor 1 nacht hadden wij iets meer verwacht. Wel perfect voor gezinnen met kleine kinderen

- Julie (10/5): - Maya Resort can truly be recommended! This is a quiet and peaceful place where you immediately feel at home and welcome. The resort is perfect for families with small children, with a swimming pool, a large playground, and even a dedicated cinema/disco area for the kids. The child safety gate at the entrance to the resort shows how thoughtfully designed and family-friendly the place really is. The location is also excellent. There is a night market with great food nearby, and both a 7-Eleven and a grocery store right across the road. Fisherman’s Village is just a short walk away, yet the resort itself is located on a quiet street. The staff are absolutely fantastic! The babysitters were wonderful with our 16-month-old son, allowing us to enjoy a peaceful coffee while still keeping an eye on him. The rest of the staff are equally friendly and welcoming. Even the gardeners and maintenance staff make you feel welcome. This warm and personal atmosphere is something you rarely experience at larger hotels. Most of the other guests are also families with children, which creates a very safe and relaxed environment and gives the kids plenty of opportunities to play and make new friends. Highly recommended for families with children! 🤩

- Janin (10/5): - Super kindgerechte Gestaltung, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, die alles ermöglichen wollen, sehr gepflegte Anlage und Apartments. Leider nicht direkt am Strand, dafür kann das Hotel jedoch nichts, von daher meckern auf hohem Niveau. Vorhänge bzw. Fenster müssten mehr verdunkelt werden können. Kinder schlafen meist nicht ein, wenn es zu hell ist.

Great location to fisherman’s wharf and the local amenities. Recommend better breakfast selection, maybe a tea/coffee machine so you don’t have to rely on the waiters.

- Dana (10/5): Nice Resort to stay with kids! - The small resort was neat, clean, and peaceful. The staff were lovely and friendly. The location was right next to the Fisherman's Village, offering restaurants and night food stalls (Thai massage was a nice bonus there). The location was far from the beach (swimmable) and the center. The taxi ride was more expensive compared to Bangkok or Krabi; therefore, you would spend more $ on rides, especially traveling with kids.

Loved the fact that was very close to 7Eleven, Restaurants, Fisherman's Village and Laundromat. Enjoyed the fact that it was a family resort, where I was staying with my 2x kids aged 13 and 14 Absolutely nothing that I can complain about, I would stay at Maya Resort again if Travelling to Samui with kids.

- Wendy (10/5): Lovely relaxing stay in a perfect spot near the farmers market - Small friendly resort catering for families with children. The indoor play area was brilliant. We had an Above average sized 3 bedrooms villa. The private pool was lovely size. The only downside was the 1.60 m depth and with us having toddlers and 3 out of 4 unable to touch the floor, it was unusable.

- Martina (2/5): Absolut ungeeignet für Kinder. Kundenfreundlichkeit kennt das Resort nicht - Leider waren wir sehr entäuscht. Die Kinderaktivitäten waren sehr schlecht organisiert. Manchmal mussten die Kinder auf die Betreuerin warten weil si auf dem Sofa lag um ihr eigenes Kind zu stillen. Zum Teil durften die Kinder nur zusehen und nicht selber ausprobieren (Experimente). Das Frühstück war schlecht und hatte kaum gesunde Sachen. Die Kinderfahrräde sind in einem schlechten oder nicht nutzbare Zustand. Am Pool hat es Tag durchs gar kein Schatten. Die Stromleitungen an der Strasse sind so laut das man es den ganzen Tag hört. Als wir unseren Aufenthalt kürzen wollten, gab es kein entgegekommen der Besitzerin, welche telefonisch für uns nicht erreichbar war. Wir gingen trotzdem. Wir kamen wegen der Kinder. Aber es ist überhaupt keine kinderfreundliche Umgebung.

- Korin (10/5): - וואווו איזה מלוןןןןןן הילדים פרחו שם! הכל מותאם לילדים.. הוילות מאוד חמודות, הצוות של המלון מדהים! אתה מרגיש כאילו אתה נמצא אצל המשפחה שלך. לעומת מקומות אחרים בתאילנד, הצוות במלון הזה היה הכי נחמד, הכי שירותי, חייכן ונעים. באמת שהצוות שם הוא מעל המצופה. ארוחת הבוקר בבופה היתה טעימה מאוד. יש שם חדר משחקים לילדים צמוד לארוחת הבוקר- נתן לנו אפשרות לאכול בכייף מאחר ויש שם בייביסיטר לילדים.. שהילדים מאוד אהבו אותה. הבריכה במלון כייפית יש אזור לקטנים. המלון נמצא על כפר הדייגים וממולו יש שוק אוכל, 7/11 ועוד.. זה המלון הכי כייפי לילדים שהיינו בו. בחדר היו נמלים אבל דאגו להחליך לנו חדר וגם ריססו. המלון הוא יחידות דיור על הקרקע, הגיוני שיהיו נמלים. המיטה לא היתה נוחה. החליפו מגבות כל 3 ימים.

- Arunkumar (10/5): Best stay in Koh Samui - The room was good, clean and spacious exactly as shown in the pictures. All the staff were super nice, friendly and really very helpful. Awesome pool and kitchen. Kid friendly resort. It was raining during our checkout and we wanted to work for a bit before our flight, the owner was so considerate that she arranged us a different room so that we could work for a few hours and go out in the rain.
- Alvira (9/5): Lovely stay - It was a lovely stay. We parents got to unwind while our son had fun in the kids’ club. Definitely recommended for families with children. We had a late flight on our check-out day, so I asked for a late check-out. The owner was so kind and allowed us to check out at a time convenient for us, without any additional charge. That was so thoughtful! Breakfast could have been better with more variety, and there was one day when they overlooked making up our room even though we had put the sign on the door.

- Asaf (6/5): Great location, but the uncomfortable beds and constant noise made it hard to enjoy our stay. - The location is great, just a short walk from Fisherman’s Village. The pool was lovely, with the perfect temperature and even a small kids’ section, which was really useful. There’s also a nice playground that our child enjoyed, and the staff were kind and tried to help when our credit card got stuck in an ATM outside. Unfortunately, the beds were a big problem. They were extremely uncomfortable and gave me serious back pain. The staff added another topper, but it didn’t make any difference. We also ended up being fined for spilling a bit of coffee on a towel, which felt unfair since it could easily be washed. In our first room, a rooster outside the window woke us up every morning at 5 AM. When we moved to another room, it turned out to be next to a construction site, making daytime rest impossible for our 3‑year‑old. They offered a third room, but by that point we were too tired of moving and just wanted to leave.

- peleg (7/5): טוב מאוד - מקום מקסים שנבנה ונותן לילדים אפשרות לרוץ, לקפוץ ולהשתולל. אזור משחקים מקורה. בריכה נקיה ונעימה. הברכות לא מגודרות, קצת בעיה במקום שיש בו הרבה ילדים. המיטות קשות מאוד . ארוחת הבוקר מתנהלת בצורות שונות ביחס לכמות האורחים: לפעמים בופה נעים ולפעמים הזמנה מתפריט שלוקחת הרבה מאוד זמן .

- Dafna (8/5): - Nicely sized rooms, pool right outside. Breakfast area right next to the kids club. Super friendly staff. We will return to this very nice and cute resort. The entire street had a powerout, all the facilities including shower, sinks and toilets were also down due to the use of electrical pumps. We just landed after a long flight with young kids and could not shower or use our toilet, and did not have any backup light except our flashlight. This is not the hotel's fault at all but it ruined our first night. After a few hours electricity was back on (we were already asleep), air-con and everything worked great. In the morning we enjoyed our stay very much! We will return!
- Anne-Katrin (8/5): Schönes Familienresort nahe Fisherman’s Village - Das Maya Resort ist ein wundervoller Ort für Familien. Kinderbetreuung und zahlreiche Spielmöglichkeiten sind gegeben. Sie Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet, die Pools auch cool. Die Nähe zum Fisherman’s Village ist super und ein kleiner Nightmarket ist direkt gegenüber. Auch Tops und 7/11 sind direkt nebenan. Man geht 3 Minuten, dann ist man schon am Eongang vom Fisherman’s Village. Als wir dort gewohnt haben, gab es einen Sturm-bedingten Stromausfall. Es dauerte bis 0:30 bis der Strom wieder hergestellt war. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und wir durften am nächsten Tag später auschecken und wurden zum Frühstück eingeladen. Das Personal ist insgesamt einfach super zuvorkommend und lieb. Danke! Es gibt wenig zu meckern. Wir waren zwei mal hier, einmal hatten wir eine Villa mit Pool mit zwei Zimmern, einmal mit 3 Zimmern. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist ok, aber zum richtig kochen hätte einiges gefehlt. Aber wegen des Nachtmarktes nebenan wäre Kochen sowieso irrsinnig und nur teurer. In den Ecken und hinter den Möbeln sollte etwas besser geputzt werden. Aber auch das: ist marginal. Wir haben uns wegen sowas nicht beschwert, sonst hätte das Personal ganz sicher direkt alles weggemacht. Vielen Dank nochmal!

Lots of kids’ activities, a great pool with toys, amazing staff, and only a 5-minute walk to Fisherman’s Village. the mattress are very uncomfortable. it might be the room we were in but needs a change. i ended up with back pain.
- Bjørn Max (6/5): - Bløde senge, tæt på Fishermans village, 7-11 på den anden side af gaden, vanddispenser på værelset. Vi kom for de børnevenlige faciliteter. Men poolen var lukket i 2-3 dage, og rigtig mange af kidsclub aktiviteterne som børnedisco, børneyoga, “tik tok games” var bare en skærm tændt med YouTube .
- Oshri (1/5): רמה נמוכה מינוס - המלון אם אפשר לקרוא לו מלון ,במיקום מושלם . החדר ברמה של גאסטהוס לפני 30 שנה , לא נקי, לא מאובזר, ריח כימי של ריסוס, שעברנו לישון בחדר אחר באותו לילה, חזרנו לחדר אחרי יום שלם מחוץ למלון השאירו את החדר פתוח לאחר שניקו אותו, הצפה בשירותים שעלו על גדותם ולא היה מי שיתן מענה והיינו צריכים לחכות לבוקר. עזבנו את החדר בלילה לקחנו מלון אחר כי לא היה מענה מהמלון. הסכום ששילמנו עבור לילה ממש לא משקף את רמת המקום . בקיצור ממש לא ממליץ

- Etya (7/5): - It is family oriented and there are many cute activities for kids and a cafe/playroom with supervisors that was very nice. The staff were very sweet in all of our interactions with them. The proximity of our room to the pool was also a plus. There is 7/11 nearby. It was quite and not very crowded The facility is functional and great for kids, but only ok for adults. it is semi close to the fisherman village market (5-7 min walk) but is separated by an annoying road that is not easy to cross. There is a new market (Wave) that is closer and works well for dinner but is also across the road. both massage places and laundry were only available in the fisherman village. For the same price, I think there are better locations in Samui. We changed rooms after the first night after finding a metal rod in the bed that someone was trying to fix by placing a towel on top of it (?) and a noisy pump outside the room. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us another room and after that the bed/noise were fine. In both rooms, the locks were tricky to handle. Also, during our stay a baby pooped in the pool that was closed for 24 h exactly on the day we were planning to not do anything outside. They do have another pool, but much smaller. All in all, the place is cute and functional if you are with little kids but it was quite a stepdown for us after the very nice and memorable hotels we had in the North and the ones we had a chance to see in Samui.

- Daria Dalit (7/5): - המקום קצת מזכיר קיבוץ בתוך האי, לכאורה יש הכל. החדר מאובזר בכל מה שצריך וזה נוח מאוד. המזרונים קצת קשים והיה קצת פחות נוח. אבל בסהכ היה בסדר. הוא ממוקם במקום טוב יש מלא מסעדות באזור וכפר הדייגים ליד שהוא מגניב לטיול וחוף ים יפה. יש 7/11 וסופר בחציית כבעש מאוד נוח. שילמנו על ארוחת בוקר כולל והיא הייתה מאוד דלילה כאילו כמעט ולא היה בה כלום. אז אכלנו בסוף בחוץ בבתי קפה ליד. וגם המזרונים מאוד קשים. מעבר לזה בסהכ היה הכל בסדר ונחמד מאוד.

- Yuval Lior (8/5): - מקום נחמד, חצר מטופחת מאוד, חדרים יחסית מרווחים, מתאים יותר למשפחה עם פעוטות בלבד. לא הייתי ממליץ להרכב אחר. הצוות אדיב ושירותי מיקום טוב 2 דק הליכה מהטיילת של כפר הדייגים, מול 7/11 ויריד אוכל בכל ערב. המקום נחמד לפעוטות, 2 בריכות קטנות יחסית, הריזורט נמצא מעבר לכביש ראשי וסואן שצריך לחצות כל פעם, זרם מים חלש ולא חם מספיק, מיטות קשות ופחות נוחות, בופה ארוחת בוקר דלה ומותאמת יותר לפעוטות. שתינו רק קפה וויתרנו על השאר. שיקים בבריכה פחות מוצלחים, הספיק לנו לנסות ולהבין ביום הראשון ולוותר. מפתח לכספת שהיה מחובר למפתח הכניסה שגם מפעיל את כל המיזוג והחשמל בחדר כך שתמיד היה גלוי לכל. יש קולר בכל חדר לנו זה היה פחות נוח והיה רצוי שישימו בקבוקי מים כל יום כמו בכל מקום שהיה לנו.
