• ViajantePT200 (2/5): Bad food experience - Had lunch at the Rooftop bar and what it was supposed to be a good experience/moment end the opposite. One dish didn't come the way I requested and the other come with a problem like bacteria or other situation. The person eating this dish was sick for more than 12 hours. After complaining, nexr day, they did not take any responsibility for this situation.
• K5542RSbrianr (10/5): Fabulous - A group of 4 of us stayed one night at the Verride Palacio. It was wonderful! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Pre the visit I had lots of contact with the reception planning a day of tourism and eating in Lisbon and they were very helpful in sorting out excellent restaurants and a tuktuk tour. The rooms are large, spacious and the beds are huge! The rooftop bar has excellent views and cocktails. However, the "taster breakfast" was incredible and we only managed to get through three of the five stages! A very memorable stay, thank you to the staff.

The combination of hospitality, comfort, location, f - I’ve traveled a lot and I believe Verride was at least on my top 3 hotels in life. The room is absolutely amazing, wide space, with great assortment of pillows and very comfortable bed. The breakfast is unbelievable, with a unique concept of 5 step menu chosen by the chef everyday. Staff is really kind and helpful at all times. The location and hotel facilities in general were great but it is hard to want to leave your room. I missed a gym, but I have been told they have plans to build one in the future. The shower box does not contain the water properly so it splashed to the bathroom but it’s promptly cleaned by staff everyday.
• Yalin (7/5): Ok - Beautiful property staff was wonderful The air conditioning was either broken or it was not turned on yet for the season. Our room was incredibly warm. The staff was very nice and brought us a fan. But they really should have comped us wine or discounted the room. Our they should post in their description that air conditioning only is available in certain months. We went in March and in Lisbon you can have warm days. I also came by car and it was incredibly difficult to find the street. They really need better direction on how to find the hotel. However the staff was incredibly nice. Breakfast was good but it was a tasting menu and you need to plan for it … it could take an hour. Otherwise nicely decorated and they had a steam shower that was nice

• Wanda (10/5): Beautiful and romantic getaway - The hotel is located in an old palace which has been renovated and repurposed accordingly. The room was impeccable and the views from the rooftop bar are spectacular. I wish it was a bit more affordable, but the service, room size and comfort and the views were worth the expense.
• Evgeniya (7/5): Могло быть лучше за эту стоимость - хорошее расположение, красивый дизайн отеля, очень приятное постельное белье. шикарный массаж в спа. очень неудобные смесители в санузле, мучение. сам душ тоже неудобный, умывальник и места для косметики мало, хотя само помещение большое. у нас был улучшенный номер на 2м этаже. окна вровень с лестницей, по которой день и ночь ходят туристы, открыть их невозможно : к вам постоянно заглядывают проходя мимо, ночью орали пьяные люди, просыпались. очень мало освещения в комнате. с завтраком тоже переборщили, слишком сложно все, при этом для мужчины может быть не сытно и все долго по времени ожидания еды, особенно если торопишься утром в аэропорт
• Abdulmajeed (1/5): تجربة سيئة Bad experience - لم يعجبني اي شي I didn’t like any thing الغرفة كانت غير نظيفة، خاصةً مع وجود كرسي متسخ ومبلل، ولم تتوفر غرفة بديلة. عند طلب التنظيف، لم تتحسن النظافة. موقع الفندق سيئ للغاية، حيث يقع أمام منطقة مليئة بالقمامة. الحمام بلا دش، والصنبور لا يصل إلى الحرارة المناسبة إلا عند فتحه لأقصى درجة. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، كانت الغرفة تطل على زقاق مزعج طوال اليوم. باختصار، هذه كانت تجربة غير مرضية إطلاقاً، ولا أنصح بالفندق أبداً The room was not clean, especially with a dirty and wet chair, and no alternative room was available. When we requested cleaning, the cleanliness did not improve. The location is very poor, right in front of an area full of garbage. The bathroom has no shower, and the faucet only gets warm if fully turned to the maximum. The room (Deluxe Baika Room) overlooked a noisy alley all day. In short, it was an unsatisfactory experience, and I would not recommend this hotel at all.

• MizzusK (10/5): Felt like royalty at Verride Palace! - We had the pleasure of staying at the Palacio and cannot recommend it more highly. The location, overlooking the Miradouro de Santa Caterina and the rooftops of Baixa is outstanding. It's at the end of a quiet street (only taxis and other authorized vehicles can pass through). The property retains it's historical character with accuracy and the owner's artwork adds personal charm. Our room was spacious, with an oversized bathroom with soaking tub, luxurious Aesop products and soft satin robes. There's a spectacular (albeit small) pool overlooking the city, a rooftop bar with a panoramic view and several dining choices, which sadly we did not enjoy. But the true jewels of this property are its employees and the warmth which they welcome you. From Joana, the hostess, to Mariana, the front desk receptionist, all made us feel at home. We even received a thank you note from our housekeeper for the tip we left - a first for us!! Prior to our trip, I had agonized over our hotel selection but I'm so happy with our final choice!

We stayed in the Apartment 55… beautiful decorated. The associated restaurant SUBA is extra ordinary and world class. The apartment 55 has a beautiful bathroom with marble and a jacuzzi - HOWEVER, it didn’t work and the water ran tepid by the time it was full. Also, the apartment wasn’t fully equipped with basics such as a bottle opener, water drinking glasses, tea towels. When I alerted the wonderful staff they did bring these items. But the jacuzzi not working and not being fixed during our stay was a huge disappointment. I mentioned it again as I left & got an apology and why have just offered me a 30% discount for me if I stay again. But in truth I won’t be staying again so the 30% is redundant.

• gabelzer (10/5): Best hotel stay ever! - I stayed overnight on a Hilton Free Nights Award and there is little doubt in my mind that this was the best hotel stay I have ever had. I didn't want to leave the hotel for a minute. When we arrived, we received a tour of the premises, including the rooftop bar, the outdoor pool and the beautiful common areas. When we got to our room, we were knocked out by the view, the bed, and the complimentary baked goods, champagne and beverages. We were also told that we were entitled to a complimentary 15 minute massage, which my wife and I had scheduled for later that afternoon. I immediately said to my wife "this might be the best place I've ever stayed out" and she corrected me, saying "it definitely is." The massage was unbelievably good. My wife paid to extend it and received a very, very good massage for way less than it should have cost. While she was gone, the hotel sent a small birthday cake to our room (quick note: make sure to complete the ore-arrival questionnaire the hotel sends a day or two before arrival to inform it of any special occasions worth celebrating). I also toured the rooftop bar and saw a great view of the city from the 2nd highest vantage point in the city. We spent an hour at the rooftop pool, which was small but luxurious. The hotel's main restaurant was closed the night we visited, but the hotel's secondary restaurant was open and delicious. We slept very, very well on a large bed that may have been king-sized plus. The next morning we were treated to a five-course breakfast which included fresh-squeezed juice, cappuccino, charcuterie, breakfast breads, yogurt with fruit, an egg dish and a dessert pancake. Again, everything was excellent! I have read some of the more tepid reviews and cannot stress enough that our experience was amazing. Maybe your mileage may vary, and maybe some of your experience depends on your room (ours was 6.2 and is highly recommended), but I cannot imagine a better hotel stay!

We stay in many hotels per year, including some five star rated ones, and this stay was the best of our lives. The elegant room was impeccably clean, quiet and comfortable with a stunning view from the balcony. Our massage therapist, Annabella, gave us each the best message we have ever had. We had dinner at the hotel’s Lisbon Club 55, which was the best Portuguese food we have had. Miguel greeted us and gave a helpful and informative tour of the Palacio, which is uniquely and beautifully decorated with both modern and classic art. The five course breakfast on the deck was exquisite. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we definitely plan to return to Lisbon just to stay here again! Thanks to all the excellent staff who made our stay so memorable!

Perfectly positioned, the ambience is superb, the food is sublime and the friendliness of all the staff is so welcoming. Our top tip is to indulge in booking a treatment as the therapists are true, true healers with magic in their hands. My husband walked in barely able to stand straight or walk without a limp and yet he came out like a new man and pain free We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

• Padideh (8/5): - The hotel was very nice and staff were very friendly! Couple of things need improving/changing. First, the uber or boltz driver cannot drop passengers off by the hotel. It’s a restricted area! It would have been nice to know in advance so we did not have to walk with our bags. Second, the rooftop was closed to an event which was very disappointing and on top of that there was so much noise as the event ended as if we were in a night club! Last, the bathroom is designed poorly. Eventhough it was new, clean, and nice the water went everywhere as you shower! Overall nice service and very luxary hotel. I would rate the convenience 4 star and not 5

• BengJYT (10/5): Very good Hotel in good location with good view - The palace hotel can be one of the best in Lisbon-Portugal. Since arrival the service was very good, check in process took only minutes. The room was large and comfortable. The included breakfast was very very good, not only many choices as buffet and ala carte but also very good quality and tasty food. The location is also quite good for walking, many of the main lisbon attractions are in walking distance. The view point Miradouro de Santa Catarina with spectacular view across the Tagus River is spectacular and at night we can see the lighted statue of Jesus - Santuario de Christo Rei across the river. Just one problem though for car driver, because the hotel is in the closed area with access control from the nearest access road - Rua Marechal Saldanha and a PIN number is needed to have the electornic road block removed, but the PIN code can be requested from the hotel reception.

The staff was accommodating if we just needed some quick eggs/coffee in the morning. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar was great and the bartender we had the first night was awesome. The beds were also very comfortable. The location is a bit of a challenge. The property is located in a zone that does not allow you to be easily dropped off in front of the hotel and depending on which side your cab or uber drops you off it can be a steep uphill walk. They do have a way for the front desk to lower the barrier, but the communication barrier with our drivers made it difficult to execute. It would be great if guests could just get a clicker to use. The surrounding neighborhood at night seemed a little suspect.

The breakfast, which was included, was the star of our stay. The food, made to order, was meticulously prepared and absolutely delicious. Each day there was a hot dish suggestion, along with a tower of homemade pastries, fresh juices and smoothies. You can also request anything you like, if the suggested menu doesn't suit you. I'm not usually much of a breakfast eater, but this breakfast was worth every bite! The views from the rooftop bar are amazing and perfect for sunset. They serve fantastic drinks and food there as well and service was prompt and friendly. Our room was very clean with the softest, most luxurious sheets I've ever slept on. Little culinary delights were regularly left in our room to surprise us. Aesop brand amenities were supplied, along with thick fuzzy slippers and robes - every amenity was top notch. The soundproofing wasn't apparent in our room - we could hear another guest shutting their door over and over, but the comfy bed helped us return to sleep. The bathroom had a high pressure shower and was beautiful, if small, but there were plenty of surfaces for toiletries, so we managed just fine. We couldn't find any climate controls in our room and it the beginning of each night was warm for sleeping, but overall the comfort, charm, friendly & helpful service, and pampering made for a very enjoyable stay. The Chiado neighborhood was quiet and we found ourselves walking over to Baixa for meals and entertainment, but I think Baixa would be loud for sleeping and we really enjoyed the walks to and from Verride Palace. • LauraM893 (10/5): Beautiful hotel with a spectacular breakfast! - This is a beautiful hotel. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. But the highlight for me was the breakfast - a multi course extravaganza with beautiful views over the rooftops of Lisbon! It goes to 12pm so you could do some sight seeing before hand, or have a leisurely lie in. Either way, give yourself some time to enjoy it, it’s worth it. The bar downstairs is also nice and has lovely cocktails.
• Y4897QMantoniam (2/5): Disappointing event at Verride - I recently hosted a corporate event at Verride Palace. While the venue is stunning and the staff professional, our experience was far from ideal. The catering service was slow, with only two waiters for 50 guests (originally requested and paid for 75 guests), causing many to leave early. Despite following their suggestion to cancel the outdoor event space due to weather, we were still charged for it. Additionally, the Open Bar service, which was barely used, was charged for all 75 expected guests. Management was unresponsive to our concerns, making it clear that their priority was invoicing, not the event’s success. If you’re considering hosting an event here, be cautious and ensure all details are clear in advance.
• KennethPages (10/5): Nothing short of the best! - Service and communication were highly above average from start to finish. It is a Boutique hotel with a number of dining/drinking options. It all feels so sophisticated and as guests we all (3 couples) were treated like Royalty. Lisbon was the end of a cruise that started in Monte Carlo. As happens with cruises we were discharged from the ship in the morning. The transfer that the hotel arranged was waiting for us. Two out of three rooms we ready and the third not far behind. We were given an extensive tour by the lovely and gracious Marianna. We each had different room configurations (ours was the Salavista. It was superb but the other two couples had lovely suites as well. The location on top of the hill made going places easy and returning a good way to work off excessive eating and drinking. The staff were all so helpful and knowledgeable. A shout out as well to Agosto. The Tailor made breakfast which one reviewer here saw as a bug i saw as a feature. In addition to taking it in the communal area guests are welcome to order room service which was the option we chose. when you call they have some pre-arranged options like a hot dish, charcuterie, bread but guests are encouraged to also ask for special requests. I found the whole thing charming and all our breakfasts were delicious. I can’t think of a place I’d rather stay. Well there is a place that is a tie b it that is my secret.

Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than some hotels, however the experience, the service and the breakfast are outstanding. Our bedroom was large, view over the river and very comfortable bed. The welcome tray of various Portuguese desserts and bottle of Port was a nice touch. I don’t understand some of the reviews criticising the breakfast, our experience at every breakfast was perfect, it’s simply the best breakfast experience I’ve had in any hotel. The rooftop location adds to the glamour!! Yes sometimes the service could be a bit on the slower side, but in such a great location what’s the hurry!!! It’s well worth booking a transfer through the hotel if flying into Lisbon airport. We were glad we did due to the very long taxi lines at the airport and also means no issue in finding the hotel in the gate controlled area of the city. Special shout out to the front desk staff and the concierge team, so friendly and helpful, even giving us a restaurant recommendation at our next Portugal stop in Porto. The use of WhatsApp was a novel and helpful feature. Only very minor bit of negative feedback I could give is we had to ask 3 times for milk to be sent up to the room for our coffee, however it’s just that minor feedback that in no way coloured our overall experience. In a sentence we loved it, and I hope to return some day.

Our suite was very comfy and the staff was very nice. We liked all the small attentions that made our feel welcome. The breakfast was tasty and we enjoyed the small pool area. The bathroom was cozy but the bathtub space could be a bit bigger. Maybe it would be better to skip the bathtub altogether and install a spacious shower. But that's entirely our personal preference, not the hotel's fault.

From the moment we arrived the staff where very accomodating, friednly and made us feel like we were being welcomed into their own home. You really can't falult this hotel!

It is also next to a small view point . The suites we took were nice but very expensive . Breakfast has an arrangement which doesnt work . One is supposed to go into a pantry next to a long dining table and order breakfast . There is also outdoor seating . Every morning we had business meetings and had to be at our appointments by 10 am . The very first day we reached the dining room at 8 something and the staff member in the small kitchen said she would come soon. We reminded her again after 10 minutes . It took her 20 minutes just to come for our order. After that there was preparation time . Many of the other staff were not professionally trained though most were friendly. Another person at the Reception another day insisted that all tea was decaf !

Le personnel au petit soin d'une gentillesse simplement génial. La seule chose qui nous a dérangé c'est la ventilation dans la salle qui s'enclenche 2 fois par jour pendant 3 heures et qui est très bruyante. Idem pour la climatisation (chauffage) qui fait beaucoup de bruit.
