The location is so close to a quiet beach, the bungalow was basic but all that we needed and the where the bungalows are is beautiful, full of plants and animals running around. We couldn't fault it! • Cohen (10/5): - Amazing people host a super local, cheap, great value for money place. All the staff are a group of friends living together, they’re super friendly and welcoming to anything they do in their day to day life. This is not a fancy place, just honest great simple bungalow next to a beautiful, clean, chill and quiet beach. Around you have everything you need for food, convenience and can easily rent a scooter to the busy areas of the island when needed.
• Foerster (7/5): A simple, clean bungalow in a fantastic beach location with great value for money. - The bungalow is simple but very clean and more than big enough for a solo traveler. The location is excellent – just one minute to the beach. The water pressure and the Wi-Fi were both excellent, and the manager/owner was always reachable and very helpful. There are shops, restaurants, and a 7-Eleven nearby, so you don’t even need a motorbike. For the price, the value is really great. There is no refrigerator in the room and no air conditioning, only a fan. For me this was absolutely fine, but some guests might prefer having AC.

• Paul (10/5): - Toller Gemeinschaftsbereich mit vielen Couches, free coffee/tea Billiard, Tischticker, Tischtennis und PS5 (gehört einem der Mitarbeiter). Jeden Abend nettes Programm wie Billiard Turnier, sehr guter Live Musik oder food specials. Gute und preiswerte Küche für Frühstück und Abendessen. Extrem nettes und cooles Personal. Zimmer relativ einfach aber für den Preis voll ok. Tolle Lage in den Bergen, man sollte allerdings einen scooter haben um hier hinzukommen. Insgesamt meine beste Hostel Erfahrung in 5 Wochen Thailand.
• Tanja (10/5): Rustikal und sehr gemütlich - Sehr schöne und ruhige Lage, sehr nah am Meer und an den Restaurants. Außerdem ist der Besitzer sehr nett, unkompliziert und hilfsbereit und konnten somit die Zeit dort entspannt genießen. 😌

But it's also a great chance to explore the best part of the island. The guys running this hotel are the friendlist thai people I've met. They fed me fresh fish barbecues. Took me out day traditional cultural trips. All free of charge. We built a genuine friendship. Nook and sung ♥️
• Zoe (6/5): A nice place for a mini break - You each get a bungalow to yourself which is lovely. A gorgeous beach is literally 50m away which is incredible! The owners are lovely and helpful. The bungalows have mosquito nets across the windows to keep out bugs. The bed is large and the bungalow are more spacious than expected. We stayed for 6 nights which in hindsight was probably too long, as I found I was getting eaten alive by mosquitos (the windows have nets but the bathroom has a hole in the roof which let loads in). There is no housekeeping so our bathroom bin became pretty unsanitary (there was no lid). There is no water provided (but a 7/11 very close by). The area around the bungalow is great for a relaxing beach break, and there are enough restaurants around but you need to go further out if you want more activities/bars/restaurants etc which requires a bike as the island is very hilly. We found we couldn’t really go into the bar or play pool as the table was occupied every evening, which was a shame really.

• Judith (10/5): Sehr idyllische Bleibe - ein Traum für jeden Backpacker - Traumhafte Lage! Sehr nahe am schönen Sandstrand. Die Umgebung ist sehr entspannt, idyllisch und ruhig. Alles was man braucht (Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurant, Wellness) ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Dieses Dörfchen ist nicht so extrem Touristen überlaufen. Der Bungalow hat alles was man braucht (Wasserkocher, Kühlschrank, Ventilator usw.). Das Bett war sehr bequem. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen und werden wieder zurück kommen! Wichtig zu wissen ist, dass es einfach ist. Man hat alles was man braucht, aber ist kein Luxusbungalow. Wir persönlich lieben das, daher keine Kritik, aber gut zu wissen.

• Francesca (9/5): - Tutto era perfetto! I bungalow semplici ma con tutto! Bagno pulito e con mia sorpresa anche l’acqua calda! Lo staff molto amichevole e preparato a dare consigli. Posizione strategica tra la spiaggia e i negozi ma immerso nella vegetazione! Veramente un posto bellissimo!
• İrem Gülnur (10/5): - Burada 1 hafta annemle beraber kaldık. Çok yardım sever insanlar tarafından işletiliyor. Oda basit fakat denize çok yakın ve büyük ağaçların altında konaklamak çok keyifli. Kaldığımız odada buzdolabının ve ketılda vardı bu işlerimizi çok kolaylaştırdı. Bungalowdan ayrılırken kulaklıklarımı orada unuttum. Hiç üzülmeyin diyerek bir sonraki gün kargoya vererek bana ulaştırdılar. Biz çok sevdik. Her şey için yendiden teşekkürler

• Browne (10/5): Ko Pha-ngan - Beautiful place to get peace and stil have the beach 1min away. Food choices around bungalows are amazing and tasty. Owners are welcomed and nice. I will come here again and would recommend to everyone.

• Sarah (8/5): Simple, basic, peaceful, old-school budget accommodation - I loved its garden setting (being woken by noisy birdsong each morning and drifting back to sleep to the same!); its location just a minute from a great beach on one side and 2 mins from local cafes and shops on the main street on the other side; the price; the hammock on the balcony, the mosquito netting over the windows and having a private bathroom notwithstanding; just the complete low-key, unfussy, untouristy-ness of the place - both the property and the village itself. Both were the perfect antidote for Koh Samui (which I had struggled with). If you're happy with dead simple and are cool with nature you might love it too! If you don't do ramshackle or the odd flying/crawling insect, gecko or the kind of natural debris that finds its way in through gaps in ceilings and walls... in fact if you don't do gaps in ceilings and walls.. don't choose this place. If you're picky or precious you prob won't enjoy it.

• Selenia (3/5): Nope - The front porch was really bad, the front view which they don't show in the pictures is depressing honestly, it could be cleaned a bit and organized. The bungalow very dusty. The light in the porch didn't work at all, so you couldn't sit or use the hamaca cause it was very dark. The place felt a bit sketchy to me. The location was very close to the beach, 2 min walk.

• Xulia (8/5): Very good - Very cozy bungalows in a pleaseant garden with a nice shade and beautiful trees. Very close to the beach and cheap restaurants but isolated enough to enjoy silence and nature. The staff was very welcoming , you can tell they put all their efforts in make you feel comfortable and to have the best time. They really care about people and that is something you feel. Nothing to do with the acommodation but make sure you have mosquito repellent and a mosquito net would come handy as well.

The room itself is a great deal, as it is equipped with all essentials and is 2min walking distance from the beach. All in all, the value is fantastic, so I can 100% recommend it.

The nearby beach is beautiful and empty (at least off season) and the village seems to be more local and less touristic than the one at the beach nearby.

• Bindi (10/5): Fabulous Bamboo bungalows - Loved Bamboo bungalow. We were looking for simple old school style bungalow with fan just like the old days in Thailand & this was it! Beautiful beach not far away..we were so happy there. Definitely be back ..please don't ever change!! Also great food nearby especially breakfast at Ram & Pha ...loved the neighbourhood & all the people ✨💕 Nothing

• Zaren (8/5): Very good - Cute bungalows with hammock, nice garden environment - especially the free running chickens and cats, gave us the feeling we were far away from everything. Amazing beach within 100 meters, comfortable terraces on the bungalows to relax on. The Bamboo Bungalow team were incredibly friendly and helpful and they did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. If you're looking for a place to escape the crowds for a few days, or longer, then this is it. For us it was too far away from everything. When it rains there is nothing to do. Visiting anywhere on the island requires a 45 minute moped journey, or at least 800 Baht with taxis.

• William (7/5): Good value for money - The staff was helpful when we needed a new fan. Location very close to beautiful relaxed beach. No big crowds on that side of the island. The hammock was nice. No drinking water station close by. Veranda falling apart a bit - could use some maintenance. No chairs on veranda or in room. Ceiling fan could only run full speed which made it impossible to use at night for mosquito protection.

Good vibes A simple upgrade of hot water and a mosquito net would be nice and make our stay even better. The place looks a little neglected and needs some more love.
• Daniela (8/5): Secluded, for better or worse - For what it costs, you get a scenic porch, a clean bed, a bar, and best of all- steps away from a lovely beach and alfresco restaurant. Far from most things in town- you'd better be comfortable renting a moped and managing it along the steep curvy roads as most taxi drivers don't want to head to this part of the island. I was perturbed upon leaving that two separate hotel staffers demanded that I pay them in cash although I already paid through Hotels.com. They insisted they weren't paid although I showed them my Hotels.com email and my credit card statement. I'm inclined to believe it was an attempt to get paid twice rather than a misunderstanding as such an interaction would not be unusual for tourists on the island. One staffer removed my bags from a van and nearly made me miss my ferry off the island.
• Martina (10/5): Amazing place close to the beach - I really enjoyed staying here. The bungalows provide everything you need, even a hammock on the porch - definitely my favorite place to relax. It is only a two minutes walk to the beautiful beach. The host of Bamboo Bungalow is amazing - very friendly and helpful. He organized a shuttle to the Full Moon party and to the ferry when I left, BBQs, etc. Thong Nai Pan Yai is a quite small town, but offers everything you need (pharmacy, supermarket, restaurants & bars, Scooter rental, ...). I will definitely come back!
