- shannonjC9348IB (6/5): Nice but there are better options - Great location in downtown St Pete, overall the hotel was nice, but housekeeping was terrible. They never gave us clean towels for a 3-night stay. The front desk did not offer any dining recommendations. St. Pete has tons of great restaurants; thank goodness we have Google. How do you have a front desk person not know how to get to specific restaurants or how to recommend several good choices!
- David (10/5): -
- Christina (6/5): Not worth the price - It was clean and well located. The breakfast was sub-par, poorly maintained and there was a mass of people who swarmed it at 9:15. Also, the staff wasn’t especially enthusiastic about there being guests at the breakfast bar.
- Rodney (10/5): - Location right in the middle of downtown. My king size room was not ready at check in.
- 683matthewj (10/5): Great location for St Pete activities - Great location especially for waterfront activities. Plenty of restaurants and activities within walking distance. Rooms were clean and spacious.
- Duc (10/5): - Great location!!!
- Scaevola Jeannot (6/5): - Cute room, great location. Adjoining room with a stranger. I kept waking up to make sure the room didn't get open. Didn't feel super safe.
- Jerseyshoreparadise (10/5): Great! - Great location, kids friendly, great services, center of all actions, clean and new, would definitely come back for this one.

- stevemI8411SW (10/5): Quick weekend getaway! - Always a great stay at this Hyatt. We love the rooms and the breakfast. Love that everything is within walking distance.
- Catherine (6/5): Ok - Location Breakfast was cold ish every day. Perhaps as it was put out early and sat until we came down approx 7:30 -8:00.
Also one day room was ignored, no towel or bed service
- terrysE2979XS (10/5): Great hotel in downtown St. Pete - This hotel is perfectly locating to all of the dining, arts, and cultural events DTSP has to offer. The hotel staff are very welcoming and friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean.
- biaog2017 (2/5): Location good but rude front desk - The location was good, near pier. However, front desk had no any service mindset and was rude to customers trying to find excuse not to fix the broken stuff in room or change room.

- FarAway54556785159 (10/5): Location, Location, Location - Great Location! So much to do within walking distance. Staff was so helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
- patriciatK2693AT (10/5): Worthy of a good review - 4 night stay was great! Nice convenient location. Sparkling clean room, comfortable bed and linens, friendly staff. Felt safe and slept well.

- alicemelloni84 (10/5): Great location, delicious breakfast, great for families - Great location, only 10 minutes walking from the Pier. The room was very spacious and clean, it included two queen beds and a sofa bed and was very comfortable for a family of 4. The breakfast was great, great variety of options to choose from. We'll definitely be back!
- W1036RXdavids (10/5): Best place to stay in St. Pete - Absolutely the best place to stay. I love the location and the parking garage being so close to the elevator. All the food you want is close walking distance.

- Y4941GOkimberlys (8/5): Bg lady not a good look - Everything was superb, the room the service, the food the breakfast, the housekeeping fronts of hse excellent. Then I met the bag lady. Her name is Nadia, offered services, I felt sorry for her, I handed her the $20 and declined, who is she? I've been to the Hyatt 3 times i since I'm gonna say February wandering around who is Nadia.I don't think she's an employee.Security needs to get on there all the night crew...

- susanrF2164JN (6/5): Would stay somewhere else next time - The place was fine but underwhelming for the price. Very clean, nice bed and comfy pillows. Great location. But…
- COLD - It was cold outside and cold in the room. We called and the front desk said the thermostat worked by motion sensor. We had a corner room with water view so nice size but you aren’t walking past the sensor. It never read above 72 but felt like 68. The engineer did come and said he restarted something and it felt a bit warmer maybe 70. Still not comfortable.
- SHOWER - Hot water but literally No water pressure. Terrible shower, dribbles of water. And the sink faucet was so close to the basin it was difficult to wash your hands.
- PARKING - super convenient but super expensive. $37 plus tax a day!
- WIFI - barely worked
- BREAKFAST - I’ve had better at a super cheap hotels and the hours seemed a bit crazy. They took all away at 9:30am! Sleep in on vacation? Not if you want the breakfast.
It’s one of the pricier hotels in downtown St Pete, but I chose to have some ideal comforts, which didn’t come through. Except great pillows and very clean.
- DHWDetroit (8/5): Nice hotel, good location…bad check in experience - There are lot of positive things to say about our experience at this hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the hotel is in a great location close to everything in the city. It also has a really nice gym, which is always an important factor for me in selecting hotels (although I didn’t end up using this one very much). There were a few negatives:
- the food at the breakfast buffet was pretty mediocre
- the WiFi was very unreliable
- our biggest issues was with check in: I had requested early check-in based on our anticipated arrival time of 2:00, but I know that’s not always possible. In reality, we didn’t end up arriving until nearly 3:00, which is the stated check-in time. When I arrived at the front desk at 2:51, the gentleman working the desk said there were no rooms available. I asked if that was going to change in the next 9 minutes and he said it would not and that it might be a couple of hours before something was available. He gave me some story about how much was going on in town, as if that should excuse it. I have been traveling for decades at hotels around the world and I have NEVER been told that a room wasn’t available at the check-in time defined by the hotel. Finally, about 90 minutes later, I received a text telling me that my room was ready. I think the most disappointing thing about this experience was that the staff didn’t seem even remotely apologetic…it was as if this was a perfectly acceptable way of doing business…which it is not.
- LarryH48 (10/5): Loved the Hyatt in the HEART of St. Pete! - I hardly know where to begin with my superb stay at Hyatt Place St. Petersburg Downtown, but it has to start with the hospitality team. So many genuinely kind, friendly people, exceptionally good at what they do, and it clearly comes from the heart. A huge thank-you to the entire front desk team, especially Tyler, Tish, Steven, Heidi, and Alan. Each of them took excellent care of my wife and me throughout our stay.
Tyler went truly above and beyond to secure a very special room request for the second part of our visit, far exceeding anything we expected. We had a beautiful, quiet, spacious room with a magnificent view of the St. Pete Pier.
The hotel itself is outstanding. It honestly feels more like a Hyatt Regency than a Hyatt Place. The location could not be better, right in the middle of everything that makes downtown St. Petersburg so vibrant. It is the perfect jumping-off point whether you want to explore the waterfront, head up Central Avenue, or catch the SunRunner to St. Pete Beach. The property is modern, light and airy, and meticulously maintained throughout, with a design that is both beautiful and functional.
I also want to close with a special recognition for Leslie, who oversees the breakfast operation. I have stayed at many Hyatt Place hotels and enjoyed the breakfast perk, but none have been managed as well as Leslie runs it here. She is one of the kindest, most considerate people you could hope to meet, and she took especially good care of us, including extra help with my wife’s special needs. I cannot thank Leslie enough. She is truly a gem.
- Michaelene2013 (10/5): Love this hotel - So happy to redeem rewards, free day w/Hyatt Visa or points. Came for concert at Mahaffey, easy 15min walk for 7 Bridges, the Eagles tribute band. Checked in easily w/Stephen, knew the GM was Stephen, asked if he was multi-tasking, lol. Got lovely room on 12th floor, clean & nice city view.
Always enjoy free breakfast & free parking when you redeem free hotel day.
Lotsa soccer & softball players there, those delish cookies went fast. I loved the s'mores & red velvet, Alan at front desk saved 1 for me, he's so sweet.
The players were kinda noisy in halls, but no sound from outside, good windows.
The Looper & Sun Runner are right across the street from hotel's HyBar, very convenient & fun. Such a nice city, surprised I don't see my review from Jan 2025, loved it then too!

- M9691OVpatriciar (10/5): Frequent guest - The rooms are clean and comfortable - They have a nice breakfast with good variety of morning favorites. Friendly and helpful staff.
- MEREDITH (6/5): - Location was key, breakfast was average. The parking was pricey given the parking garage was owned by the hotel and not full at all. breakfast was average. The parking was pricey given the parking garage was owned by the hotel and not full at all.
- Mark (8/5): Great location - Great location Late night noise
- Caitlin (10/5): -
- 594robertav (10/5): Great Stay in Downtown St. Pete - Perfect location, clean and tidy. Requested a microwave and it was there before we arrived. The system of texting staff for help was 10/10! Bed was very good, room equipped with everything we needed.
- Natalie (9/5): -
- Yisely (10/5): -
- Maica (9/5): Muy buena - Desayuno muy bien. La hora del desayuno fue muy temprana, para ir con niños
- Tom (8/5): Basically very satisfied - Convenience to everything Parking at motel expensive
- Christina (7/5): Other than the surprise, parking fee and low pressure in the shower, we had a very pleasant day. The - The room was spacious and clean. I absolutely loved that they came and picked up the room after our first nights stay (I stayed two nights). The included breakfast was also good. I was upset by the surprise $24 per night parking fee.
And the low water pressure in the shower was also not a pleasant surprise.
- Paulette (10/5): My stay was more than I expected. - The location was great..nice restaurants and the Pier were super close. Breakfast could use better selections.
- Yadira (5/5): - I was charged for the room after paying in booking.com. Called multiple times was asked to talk to the manager
- Samuel (10/5): Excellent - Staff were very easy to talk with. They did a phenomenal job! N/A
- shibud2016 (8/5): Weekend stay - Stayed here for the weekend during Christmas. The hotel is in a
wonderful location. The pier is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Lots of restaurants shops, and parks nearby. The breakfast at the hotel is so -so. It was between 6 am to 10 am ,but by 9.45 they seem to close and clean ups . Rooms were spacious and clean, for the 5 of us We were in the 15 floor.

- Anna Elisabeth (8/5): Gutes Hotel in zentraler Lage. - Zentrale Lage. Solide Ausstattung. Ein bisschen mehr Service.
- Courtney (10/5): All went well and everyone was accommodating - I was having a procedure done and your hotel was in close proximity.
- Sandi (10/5): Pleasant and restful. - Location, clean and nice sized rooms. Other than going next door/adjacent on property but not in hotel , lack of a place to have a lite bite to eat when arriving at 7:30 pm after working all day.
- Nyaz (1/5): It was very bad.. the variety it was limited. The bathroom has mold. Parking lot expensive. The furn - Housekeepers The reception staffs was rude, they didn’t have knowledge how to deal with customer, the breakfast. It was very bad.. the variety it was limited. The bathroom has mold. Parking lot expensive. The furniture in the lobby it was very dirty and has stain. The people was serving the breakfast. They staff serving breakfast they was very rude.
- Richard (10/5): -
- Susanne (10/5): Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen 👌 - Es war einfach fantastisch 😍
- sabrina (10/5): -
- Jacqueline (6/5): The room was very large. The beds were comfortable so from that point of view, it was adequate. - The room was enormous. The pool was never in the sun, so it was never used by anyone. The sun beds were very basic.
housekeeping was not routine. We had to ask for it.
There was a muddle with the bill and we were told different things by the front desk every day.
There were no balconies so we couldn’t sit outside.
- Neven (8/5): -
- 951esmeraldaa (6/5): Room needs upgrade and deep detail cleaning - This location is outstanding, 10 minutes walk and you are at the pier/marina…tons of bars/restaurants and shops. The room itself has a parking lot view (not impressed for the price). BATHROOM needs a deep detail cleaning, whoever is in charge of housekeeping department should visit the rooms and access them not only for the superficial cleaning but for upgrades, wallpaper is coming loose (that keeps mold underneath) , calking/silicon has to be cleaned and replaced the way any bacteria under can be cleaned out… if to the eye is obvious that’s not clean what will happen if we do a detailed walk through the entire property?
- DCiannelli (9/5): -
- Eric (9/5): -
- Joanne (7/5): Location is great but there are other hotels - Great location, mini frig and sofa Terrible quality of breakfast food, staff could not keep up with people coming into breakfast so dishes everywhere, few spaces to sit that where clean on the weekend
- Pamela (9/5): Excellent location ! - Location-Breakfast -Room was huge and beds were comfy. Refrigerator was turned off on arrival -why is housekeeping turning those off ??? Irritating to say the least. Are they paying the electricity??
- Tanya (9/5): -
- Dion (10/5): - Very clean, great location, good breakfast every morning, the staff was great Armani was very helpful
- donnieandmarie2018 (10/5): Awesome place to stay - The staff at this establishment is fantastic. Makes you feel like family. They are so welcoming and helpful not only with the process on how to sign in park your car both of the area and what to see where to go things that you must do.
It was really nice. They also checked up on us each time they Sawsan asked us how our trip was going what did we see so far and what was next made? You feel very comfortable and welcome.
The location of this hotel is perfect for the pier, the farmers market and the nightlife
- pkdesign (8/5): Great hotel, great location with caveats - We had a cozy corner king room and it was very large and comfortable. Everything was clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable. Windows are small and high. I guess we are all use to full floor to ceiling windows but that is a minor quibble. It was a very comfortable stay. The hotel staff were all very nice and helpful. We were greeted with a smile by everyone. Breakfast was serviceable but not really that great. Coffee was good though.
The hotel has a great location. Right downtown and a short 5-10 minute walk to the pier area and all the great dining choices nearby.
My rating is for the hotel only, but be aware of the following.
IMPORTANT WARNING: I’m shocked that no reviews mentioned this. This is not something that the hotel can control unfortunately but never-the-less important if picking this hotel (and indeed the hotel across the street). There is an open air club/concert venue right across the street that played VERY loud music during the weekend we stayed. On Sunday it was so loud that you could feel the vibrations in the hotel’s floor. That went on until 11PM. So if you are very sensitive to sound or go to bed early, this may not be a good choice.
- Kerri (10/5): Nice stay - Great location
- Zidouhia (7/5): -
- Haydee (10/5): The stay was great with good ambiance and food. My family and I had a good time. - The hotel met my expectations, very clean and staff friendly. The breakfast was good as well as the restaurant next door.
- Jackie (6/5): - I wo O ok lol
- Gilberto Abraham (10/5): All good and great location - Location and the amenities No comments
- DayTrip613903 (4/5): Not quite - Breakfast is a zoo, breakfast area not adequate. Staff not knowledgeable about local area, and didn't seem interested.
- Evelyn (10/5): - Conveniently located. Friendly staff. Large rooms Had to pay for parking
- chris (9/5): -
- W8970OUjimmyc (8/5): The ambiance is exceptional. - The hotel's ambiance was impeccable, the cleanliness exceptional, and the staff consistently demonstrated remarkable kindness and helpfulness. I anticipate returning and reserving accommodations there again for my subsequent visit.
- alexander (8/5): - location breakfast
- Joey (10/5): -
- Fatima (8/5): Cidade linda e bem cuidads, vale a visita.
- Robert (10/5): - Location was excellent!
- David (10/5): Very pleasant stay - Very clean. Staff was all very accommodating and helpful.
- Fmhamilton (10/5): Our Six Star Getaway - Everything about our stay at the Hyatt Place was wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better location, it was convenient to so many restaurants and sites. The atmosphere was welcoming and clean.
We planned this trip as a get together for five friends. It was, arranged months ahead of time and we were given a great room rate and a reduced rate for parking.
I loved it here and would love to come back again!

- 243sandiw (10/5): Wonderful guest experience - This hotel was located very conveniently for tourism and restaurants.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. They arranged a late checkout for me with no charge. The room was unexpectedly spacious, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom up to date, and everything was very clean. Our group enjoyed the lobby gathering spaces. I highly recommend this hotel.
- Yvonne (7/5): Prima als je op doorreis bent, fijn bed, vriendelijk personeel! - Dicht bij de pier, inclusief basic ontbijt. Het was prima, maar weinig bijzonders.
- ruby4travel (6/5): Overnight in St Pete FL - Walkable location, and hearty breakfast. The pool area is limited. The room is large with a nice seating area, but the windows are set high and small.
- Ann (10/5): Lovely - Breakfast was great because there was oatmeal! And the woman in charge was friendly and very efficient Plastic bag in the room I could use for my swimming suit
- Karla (10/5): Very clean - Great location
- zoegI745EM (2/5): Disappointing at best - Truly so disappointed in my experience. There visible and obvious was mold in my room and I had a hard time breathing by the time I woke up. The water pressure in the sink made it unusable and the shower barely got to lukewarm no matter how long I waited for it to heat up. This is not up to the standards every other Hyatt ive stayed in is.
Do yourself a favor and stay at the hilton down the road instead.
- 105jimh105 (10/5): SPOTLESS - Hotel was spotless and well maintained, my room attendant Tomela did a great job room was perfect. Hotel is in a great location to walk St Pete
- L9264DLmichellel (10/5): Best Value in Downtown St Pete - The Hyatt Place in St. Pete never disappoints. It's the best value in downtown with walkable access to all the great things St. Pete has to offer. We have stayed here multiple times while our new home is under construction. I would recommend.
- Courtney (4/5): Hotel was great but the room ac needs fixing - The beds, the view, the breakfast, the area Our AC didn’t work and the only remedy offered by staff was to give us a fan.
