• Dirk (8/5): We enjoyed the tranquility and also the supper. - We did not order a breakfast as it was inclusive of the game drive at Aquila which is 1/2 hour away. Nothing comes to mind.

• Alina (6/5): - Близкое расположение к «сафари» Акила очень темно во всех помещениях. В мрачный день добираться некомфортно,бассейн в ужасном состоянии,утром отключили воду ,собирай я как хочешь.

• Beatrix (8/5): Goed, met een kanttekening qua hygiene - Heel vriendelijke dames bij receptie en restaurant. Het avondeten met een toeslag van 250 Rand p.p. vlees van de braai was zo zo, rest goed. Verder waren afvoeren van wc's niet allemaal goed aangesloten en was er schimmel in de douche. Bedden en rest van de kamer waren goed.
• Mathieu (8/5): Un séjour appréciable et un hôtel correct - C'est un hôtel sans prétention mais qui est tout à fait correct pour un court séjour. L'hôtel est à 15/20 mn de la réserve Aquila pour réaliser un SAFARI. Le personnel est souriant et bienveillant. La literie est correct. Le repas du soir est satisfaisant ainsi que le petit déjeuner. Le système de note pour les consommations au BAR. L'environnement autour de l'hôtel, la ville de TOUWSRIVER est très pauvre et les balades me semble à proscrire. Pas de restaurant dans le secteur aussi ce qui oblige à prendre le repas du soir à l'hôtel.
• Melita (7/5): - Cosy cabins Dinning area lacked atmosphere with lights out one end and lots of junk piled up. We ate 1st night but choose not to the next night as choice limited. Part of the appeal of the property where the photos on web site that made this room in the logde look faboulous.

They have a nice bar area with a very wel stocked honesty bar. I lost my wedding band in the shower and the owner Daniella found it and kept it for me which we fetched on our return from Cape Town. • Geert (6/5): Een verblijf met uitersten - Het ouderwetse Afrika gevoel dat ik me herinner uit de jaren 80 en 90. Simpele kamers met een platje ervoor voor koffie, fris, bier of wijn. Een hoge rietgedekte eetzaal met Afrikaans buffet. Tegelijkertijd is het ook niet meer van deze tijd dat er maar één bruikbare stekker is, die niet eens naast je bed aanwezig is maar in de tegenovergelegen muur, deuren die krom zijn. Één centrale pit, geen nachtkastjes. Beetje vergane glorie hier en daar. De naam Njalo Njalo safari's is wat misleidend. Zij doen zelf niets aan Safari. Het vindt plaats in het op een half uur rijden gelegen Aquila reserve. Een lux hotel met een soort Beekse bergen Safari mogelijkheid. Lijkt in niets op een echte Safari, maar je ziet wel veel!

The wifi signal was poor in most locations, and kept dropping out. The clay road to get there is a washboard and at times rather muddy.

• Charlize (4/5): Overpriced & Disappointing - What I did like was the location itself. Being in the Karoo was genuinely special, with wide open landscapes, quiet surroundings, and that peaceful “far from everything” feeling. The setting has a lot of natural beauty and character, and it was the one part of the stay that really stood out in a positive way. Communication was very poor, and there was little transparency around additional costs, especially when it came to meals and what was or wasn’t included. We only found out about certain charges along the way, which made it hard to plan and felt frustrating. The beds were also extremely soft and uncomfortable, and overall the experience didn’t match the “resort” expectation. It felt more like a backpackers setup than a proper resort, and the value for money just wasn’t there.

Gute Lage zur Aquila Game Loge um Touren zu machen. Herzliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Die Anlage bräuchte unbedingt etwas Pflege und Renovation. Sie hat soviel Potenzial! Ein Kühlschrank im Zimmer sollte machbar sein.

• Le Gros (8/5): Quiet, family friendly - It was a quiet peaceful location. Dinner and breakfast were very good. Dinner was set but with choices. Friendly cat called Felix, donkeys, goats, ostriches, sheep and cows nearby. Family friendly. Swimming pool was a bit dirty, green algee around the sides and debris. We appreciate this was a none chlorine pool.

• Valentina (5/5): тут, есть не успел забронировать лодж в Акиле, выбор без выбора) - персонал хороший и добрый, виды красивые, цена на жилье нормальная 1. хозяйка отчитала нас за то что мы сказали что выезд планируем в 6:30, а выезжали в 6:45, сервис в этой части провал) 2. дорогой ужин, не стоит того, но выбора нет. 3. чтобы заехать и выехать надо ждать, писать, искать. а на въезде не очень хороший интернет. звонок есть, но его не слышат видимо) 4. приготовьтесь ехать по пыльной и каменистой дороге 8 км. 5. в домиках муравьи и ночью они придут к вам в кровать

• Kelsey-Anne (7/5): What a lovely stay with gorgeous views. Staff went out of their way to accommodate our toddler. - Beautiful views! Lovely pool and amenities, good food. Overall a lovely stay - they really went out of their way to provide for our little one by providing a cot, blankets, pillow, high chair and plastic cutlery and crockery for her at every meal time. What a pleasure! The dinner buffet was very expensive.
• Jim (10/5): An excellent value for money accommodation with everything needed for a relaxing and refreshing vacation. - Authenticity, quiet, peaceful, beautiful views, secluded and not overcrowded. Catering provided with option for self catering, use of a fully equipped communal kitchen and an outdoor fire pit for bbq providing an atmospheric safari feeling. Just the access road along a gravel track, but that is absolutely not a deal breaker, we would definitely return.

A reasonable good accommodation solution when you go to spend a day in Aquila Safari, because is in a 30 minutes distance. We did a little safari on Njalo-Njalo in our car and was good fun to be able to spot a few animals.

Breakfast also had a buffet but then also had the option for made to order eggs. Everything was so good and plentiful! we really enjoyed the meals! The property itself is very peaceful and remote. It was so beautiful and lovely to be out of the city!

• JOHANNES DE VILLE (2/5): Do not recommend - Wifi was good. They have a bar. There was ants and bats in the one room, there was a few ants that climbed on me in the bed and at about 22:30 there was 7 bats flying above our heads and it was getting out of hand in minutes. The communal kitchen needs maintenance and does not have everything you need. The pictures on the website is very outdated. There was no way to get in contact with the hosts. We tried several times calling and no one answered. The one bedroom have very comfortable beds and the other bedroom not.

There was a lot of water waste due to no one overseeing the sprinklers. It seems as if staff are left to take care of everything (which they do well) but could do better with some help. It's a beautiful place with so much potential.

All the buildings; rooms, bar, dining area, pool area, braai areas are very well constructed and maintained. It's as though this was an unfinished project, awaiting the arrival of a surrounding safari park to make this place complete.

• Stephanie (5/5): convenient but overly priced - The scenery, in the middle of nowhere. the bar area was not clean, and poorly lit. The diner was poor. I was promised a braai but had only like 1 piece of sausage and a small bit of chicken as we came after a large group and they finished everything. They did not replenish. My children had the lamb, mostly bones. I mean you pay for the diner but you have the feeling of having not even the quarter of what was promised. very difficult to find
• Berliner Paar (9/5): Afrika-Lodge Feeling - Die ruhige Lage und die Nähe zum Aquila Game Resort - Afrika pur - ein Gefühl von Weite und Wildnis. Das wird verstärkt durch die kilometerlange Zufahrt durch die Wildnis auf der einzigen Schotterstrasse. Natürlich kein Handyempfang, aber WLAN funktioniert einwandfrei. Sehr nettes fürsorgliches Personal. Abendessen als Buffet - wir waren die einzigen Gäste fürs Abendessen und trotzdem wurde extra für uns ein tolles warmes Buffet aufgebaut, von dem natürlich sehr viel übrigblieb... Getränke als Selbstbedienung mit Aufschreiben mit reichhaltiger Auswahl an Bier, Weinen und Softdrinks. Schöner Pool - die Lodges und alle Häuser sind reetgedeckt und vermitteln wirklich Safari-feeling... - 100% Empfehlung

Hier kann man sich gut erholen. - Sehr ruhig gelegen, toller Ausblick auf Natur und Tiere, spezielle Einrichtung im afrikanischen Stil, sehr nettes Personal, gutes Essen und Service. Die Betten haben leider sehr laut gequietscht und der Pool hatte keine Leiter oder Geländer an der man sich beim ein und aussteigen festhalten konnte. Allein wär meine Mutter (81) nicht reingekommen oder wieder raus gekommen.

• Regina (5/5): Der Name verspricht viel was nicht gehalten wird. - Wir haben eine Safari Logde mit einigen afrikanischen Tieren erwartet. Leider war dies nicht der Fall. Die Lodge wird zum großen Teil als Übernachtungsmöglichkeit für den Besuch der Aquilla lodge genutzt. Leider hatten wir nicht vorgebucht und hatten keine Chance diese zu besuchen. Wir hatten 3 Nächte gebucht und sind nach 2 Nächten abgereist. Alles nicht auf dem neusten Stand.
