If you stay for several days, there is a fridge to keep food and cook later., GREAT VALUE Cold weather in Lima city at the time I've visited, it is understandable.

Slyn (2/5): Desconcertada - El lugar está en una buena ubicación, aunque, las áreas del hostel como la cocina estaba sucio, en el lavadero con restos de comida, algunos utensilios de cocina en mal estado, lo cual debería verificarse que cuando se realice el autorsevicio en la cocina se encuentre ordenado y limpio para el resto de personas. Asimismo, los baños y duchas; sus cortinas de baño estaban demasiado sucias pues es notoria su falta de higiene. Lo cual no es igual como se observa en las imágenes al momento de reservar. El costo de la habitación no es proporcional al servicio, si quieren economizar; yo reservé porque tenia que ir a un lugar que literal estaba demasiado cerca a este hostel pero solo al llegar a la habitación se vio desprolijo. Considero que su servicio puede mejorar.

Habitacion al frente, muy ruidosa por el tránsito limeño, demasido adicto al claxon. Agua caliente en duchas y lavamanos OK! Solo 2 retretes masculinos. Resultan escasos. Falta ocasional de servilletas en la cocina y de papel higiénico. Precio demasiado alto del agua embotellada y la cerveza.

Michael (1/5): Loud music in the room from an neighboring venue - This hostel is close enough to the historic center of Lima, not so far away from museums, close to multiple restaurants, and 1/5 of a mile from a mall with a Plaza Vea grocery store where you can buy bottled water and supplies, and more restaurants. I was able to use the stove in the kitchen at least once to prepare lentils, although it is a gas stove that you have to light with a match after you turn the knob. I stayed here for 4 nights, Tuesday night through Friday nights. Unfortunately, I could hear loud music, from an adjacent venue, in my room, until 10 or 11pm on my first 3 nights. On my 4th night, a Friday night, the problem was even worse. The loud music lasted until 2am. I was not able to sleep. I had to wake up at 2:50pm to catch my taxi to the airport. If I had known about the music, I would not have stayed here.

Alejandra (1/5): Noisy and dirty - There's A bar right underneath that makes a lot of noise till 3 am in the morning, hostel is in the main avenue and you can hear all the traffic, bathroom was always dirty, staff is very rude and unwelcoming . Room is windowless and extremely hot, they got angry when I requested a fan. Breakfast very poor. Stressful.

There is also a mall near the hotel with a lot of shops and restaurants. The place is not crowded, we were 2 in a 4-bed dorm. The 4 bunks( 8bed) has electric fan, individual locker which keys were provided. Comfortable bed. Very respectable dorm mates. The shower rooms & toilets are split between men’s & ladies which are provided with bottles of shampoo & body wash. Hot water is available in the shower as well for free hot drinks. Basic breakfast is complimentary. Across the road behind Sheraton Hotel are restaurants, shopping malls & other amenities. High recommended for travelers on budget. Nothing

Barcakuli (8/5): Not bad to stay at - The location is great as it is very close to the city centre. The rooms are ok with small lockers. The kitchen is quite nicely equipped. Breakfast was ok. The first receptionist was great - she introduced me to the hostel and the city itself. Her English was really good. However, the other receptionist's English was quite poor so when I needed something it was hard to ask about it. I would not go for the private rooms here as they are nothing extra. Too noisy because of the nearby bars.

Curtis (7/5): Very basic hostel but with very nice staff :) - The woman working the days I stayed was excellent, very kind and helpful. Unfortunately I forgot her name. She helped set me up on a free tour after we realized your pamphlets were out of date, showed me how to get the bus card, was happy to answer any questions I had. Very friendly. I felt very welcome because of her :) The only issue really was that your private rooms weren't worth the extra money. It would have been reasonable price for the dorm rooms though. Expected more than bread for the free breakfast. But it's not a big deal. I've just learned that dorm rooms are probably better value for money at hostels :)

Rhiis (10/5): A Great Place to Stay Near Lima's Historic Center - Great location, maybe 25 minutes' walk from Plaza de Armas and historic center. 20 minute walk from Chinatown, so many great colonial buildings. Close to multiple grocery stores and a supermarket, and a gigantic mall with lots of Western options if you are interested in that. Lots of street vendor food around. Multiple parks nearby, the area feels safe. Bus stops and different restaurants pretty close. As far as the hostel itself, it's very clean, the staff is friendly. Nice shared kitchen, always clean, and has everything you need to make whatever you want. The breakfast that is included is good, juice and coffee or tea with toast and jam/butter. Book exchange program. Clean bathroom and good showers with hot water always available. No complaints.

Darek (2/5): I would not recommend it - I can’t say I liked much about this property. ‘Windows’ in the rooms facing the courtyard and not the outside. So if people are gathering in the common areas (and they do) you hear everything. We had a small private room with a bunk bed. Very small. You can barely walk around the bed. Location near a busy street - street noise. 15-20 minutes walk to the main square. Place was ok clean. You could tell they mopped common areas etc, but not so good. The vent inside the room had few months of dust accumulated. Breakfast was not good. Some selection of teas and instant! coffee. A toast and jam/pb/butter. I booked this place based on good reviews (including breakfast)… these do not represent reality.

Amy (4/5): A little disappointing - The lady at reception was really helpful, especially when we needed a taxi short notice. The bathroom facilities were poor. My partner and I both felt uncomfortable using the showers. The breakfast was very basic. I am coeliac so there was nothing I could eat.
