- Tessa (9/5): Best value for money - Really good value for money, extremely flexible and helpful staff. Had a really good stay.

- Jess (10/5): Wonderful hosts - Omar and his family were excellent hosts, they let us do early check in after our overnight bus arrived early, allowed us to store bags while we were hiking, allowed late check out, and did great laundry. The breakfast room is lovely as well!
- Paolo (6/5): Good place but it needs to be refurbished - The potential is good. The location is actually ok, even though at first does not look like, as it is just a few blocks from a nice riverside walk in the center. The owner and staff are very kind, helpful and responsive, The internet is also good, as the kitchen, even though there was no fridge. The problem with the place is that is run down. The carpet in my room was old and worn out. The hostel needs to be refurbished, and in fact they are repainting the rooms. I am sure that in a little time the hostel will be a good place again.

- Alden (10/5): Quiet and inexoensive - Quiet neighborhood and guests. Lovely hosts. Clean comfortable bed at an ama ing price. Facilities overall could be a bit nicer, but good for the price point.
- HBabe (7/5): - That it had a kitchen No couches to relax on.
- Yeferson (10/5): -
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - The shower was very good. Very quiet place (except for dogs and cars, like everywhere in this country...). Very cheap for a private room ! No atmosphere, it was quite empty. The breakfast don't worth to wake up for.
- Lesly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Flo (9/5): Superb - We enjoyed our stay at climbing point a lot! It's very clean, the beds are comfortable and the shower has hot water and good pressure! We also liked the rooftop a lot because it had a roof so if it's raining you can still sit dry and smoke a cigarette. We actually stayed at another hostel first that was more expensive than this one but not as good so I recommend climbing point. There are also lots of cheap local places to eat nearby and the host organizes two tours for us for a good price.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Unfortunately they couldn't honour our full booking due to the person in charge having an emergency but let us stay the first night as it was late in the evening. The price was different to what was booked on hotels.com and there wasn't the stated free breakfast. Maybe this was because the person in charge wasn't there.
It was very cold due to the building not being fully enclosed. I can't comment on the trips etc which was the main reason we had booked here due to the good reviews.
- Laurent (8/5): Very good -
- Norman (8/5): Very good -
- Tomas (9/5): good accommodation for a good price -
- Gaia (8/5): Very good - Helpful and accomodating staff, nice and friendly ambiance. The bathrooms were a bit dirty
- Marie (9/5): Very good hostel - Very nice, terrace is nice and breakfast is good, bathroom was clean Employees were very nice but a bit slow, didn’t want to let me pay (wanted to wait for the owner) and when I paid it was difficult to get my change back
- Toby (10/5): Exceptional - Great value, nice breakfast, great facilities including spacious well stocked kitchen with views, climbing gear for rent (including bouldering mats for £3.50 a day) and climbing guide book available to borrow. Thank you!
- Derek (10/5): Exceptional - Omar's the man, super helpful. Very comfortable stay! Highly recommended to anyone coming through Huaraz

- Murphy (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly and accommodating staff. Not as busy as some other hostals which I liked.
- Shawn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jakob (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jamie (8/5): Great budget hostel - The workers were really nice, the kitchen area was cute to have breakfast. Bit far from the centre but we knew that when we booked.
- Natacha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olga (8/5): Very good - It was a pretty good room. We liked the terrace with a view of the city. The owner of the hotel booked tours for us, which was really handy. Once we had to wake up in the early morning (4.30am), but just in front of our room in a restaurant it was a big loud party. Don't forget your earplugs!
- Harris (10/5): Exceptional - The staff here are fantastic, always ready to help.
- Karina (8/5): Very good -
- Friederike (10/5): Excelente - I was travelling alone and it was the best hostel! It was easy to meet new people and hang out together. We could share our experiences of tours and the stuff was always helping and we'll organized. I also went to the climbing tour which was amazing! I would recommend this hostel 100% It was quite cold in the kitchen.
- Sean (8/5): Grand - - Good kitchen and area to sit out
- Owners and staff easy going and friendly
- Offerred tours at very good prices
- Beds were confortable - Wifi was scour in the room
- Water pressure and temperature control in the shower werent ideal but managable
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Milena (9/5): Superb - The hostel was very nice. The staff friendly and helpful, we could rent camping equipment, and for our 2nd stay we got a room upgrade. Breakfast could have been better (selection between bread with jam and butter or bread with egg).
A little far from city center.
- Andrea (10/5): - Absolutely perfect.
Comfortable bed, hot water, good breakfast! Close to everything. Good prices for tours in the area.
- Andrea (10/5): - Absolutely perfect.
Comfortable bed, hot water, good breakfast! We extended our stay.
- Claire (6/5): Not bad for the price - Very comfortable bed, very good WiFi and good laundry service The water often stopped abruptly in the shower and in the kitchen. The tap water is not suitable for cooking, I ended up with food poisoning after cooking rice with tap water. There was also something leaking in my room
- Ximena (7/5): Good - The hostel is clean and confortable. The host was really helpfull with the tours and everything. This place is perfect for climbers.
- Hans (10/5): Exceptional -
- Beatriz (9/5): Superb - Its great value for the price and the staff is really friendly. Clean and tidy :) It was cold inside but I guess that's hard to control without heaters
- Beatriz (10/5): Exceptional - The staff is really nice and the price is amazingly good value We liked eveything
- Beatriz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marco (7/5): Good -
- Matthew (6/5): Very good price but prepare for basic - it was really good value and you were able to book tours through the hostel for a very reasonable price. Omar was very kind and let us borrow a hiking pole for free for a few days. The staff were very friendly and helpful when around. The free breakfast was a nice addition. The hostel itself is very basic, there were no bins in the room, the oven didn’t work and we couldn’t get hot water in the showers on 2 days of our trip. For the last 2 nights there was a continuous dripping sound in the roof above our room that meant we couldn’t sleep (it wasn’t raining). The staff were lovely but there were long periods of time where there was no one around when we wanted to ask them for info or book tours.
- Jan (8/5): Very good -
- Arthur (9/5): Superb -
- Antoine (7/5): Good - nice staff always ready to help, stable wifi, good breakfast, pretty clean a little noisy, the water heater didn’t work stable
- Oscar (8/5): Very good -
- Paula (9/5): Superb - The owner is really helpful. He allowed us to do early check in without extra costs. We booked the tour to Laguna 69 and a sleeping bag from him, and the prices he offers are either lower or the same as other places. There is hot water. There are some super loud dogs barking like crazy during the night.
- Robert (10/5): Enjoyed my stay - Chill place and people working there. Common area where you can cook and relax. Several shops downstairs. Wifi was very good. Shower - water temperature is just warm, and wiring is a bit dangerous. I occasionally felt slight sensation of electric current while showering at 2nd floor, bathroom at the right.
- Wienke (8/5): Very good -
- David (8/5): - En general , la experiencia fue buena.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Increadable help with hiking, climbing tips. Referred is friend Michel as a mountain guide. All the other guests were nature and mountain enthusiasts. Perfect location as less crowdy/noisy than downtown but close enough (20 min walk to center). I will comeback for sure on next cordillera blanca trip.
