Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not so nice - The property itself was clean and well supplied. The view was spectacular and everything we expected. The major problem is that the room has zero air conditioning. When we arrived it was like walking into an oven. The only option were portable room fans. It was 80 degrees outside and felt like 90+ inside. Opening all the windows and front door into the hall didn’t help. The top floor had no AC running, we thought we could hijack some of the hall air but there was nothing to be had. Unfortunately we had next door neighbors who were smoking (not cigarettes) on their balcony so even sitting on our balcony to cool off was not available. The neighbors below us were also smoking (not cigarettes) so we had a double down on smoke filled air that blew into our unit so even opening or shutting windows or sitting on the balcony was not a option. And one neighbor played loud rock music. When we called customer care at Mammoth Five Star Lodging they listened but offered little to no help indicating these rooms were not their responsibility. So beware this complex is apparently a smoking permitted facility with the exception of room #329. Needless to say, we slept horribly even with all fans running and all windows wide open. The only relief we had was physically leaving the room for cool fresh air. Unfortunately we will not be returning and will only be staying at complexes that have a running front desk to mitigate such problematic issues.
- David (8/5): - I did not receive my check-in instructions(my fault)and when I arrived was not able to get in room. It was late at night and I instantly wrote a bad review. I had to book another room for the night. The next morning, I was able to make a call and help from adjacent hotel got it sorted out. The adjacent hotel did not charge me for the one night either. From there on, the room, my stay and the view were great. Nothing bad to say. Will return.
- kassandra (10/5): Ski in and out! - It was great. Clean nice. walk to the slopes. It could not have been a better place to stay.
