The owner was very inviting and also left us to our stay but was there if we needed him. N/A

• graeme (8/5): A bit overpriced for what was on offer - Well I was under the impression that breakfast was included but unfortunately not.... I found that a bit poor..... Also no fresh towels everyday not so good but owner was a very nice person so I'm only saying what could have improved

Parking was abit of a hassle , as only one parking space behind property, and only one hour stay outside front of property , on the road side .

• Claire (9/5): Comfortable and central. Recommended. - Lovely room with a view over the street. The most comfortable bed and pillows I’ve had in ages. Great location - you can walk to town or the train station. Taxi office over the road. I stayed for 4 nights and had a lovely time.

• Gareth (9/5): Great Value - Great location, close to the beach front. Clean and quiet room with plenty of facilities. Hosts were amazing and they couldn't do more to help. I drive a large pickup truck so parking is always an issue but the owners moved their own vehicle to make space for me. Rooms are small and basic, limited parking available. Noisy toilets

• Dave (10/5): A wonderful hotel in wonderful hotel in the perfect location, Will definitely be staying again in the near future. - Situated in a perfect location, The Trouville was beautifully clean, everything in the room worked & extra coffee, tea bags etc were on hand without having to ask the staff who were absolutely wonderful. Nothing to report.

• Elizabeth (10/5): Very highly recommended guest house, fantastic host very accommodating and welcoming - Cleanliness of the property and the property looked inviting the room we had was a family room and it was a lovely room the beds were very comfortable and with the hot weather fans were provided without having to ask for them. The host was fantastic very very accommodating and made our stay very enjoyable. There was not a thing that we did not like about the property

The owner greeted me so friendly and explained where everything was and told me of I needed anything just to let him know and he made a point of ensuring everything was okay throughout my seven day stay. The room was perfect for my needs and especially quiet. I would highly recommend this place.

• Dingley (1/5): Avoid!!! - Location Where to start! We have had to leave the hotel. As the toilet flooded the bathroom ( Faulty system ). And the smell was horrendous. It felt like there was no urgency to fix the issue. And was left with no alternative but to leave. As we had no toilet or washing facilities. The owner was pleasant enough. But when the issue occurred. There was no urgency to sort the issue. We asked if there was an alternative room or at least an alternative toilet and was told no. We ended up going to the premier inn at extra cost. Since our visit we asked for a refund from booking.com But because the owner has refused to answer them He keeps the payment. And we cannot be refunded!!!. How this works with booking.com is bizarre. Avoid this hotel and pay a little extra to avoid this place!!!!

• Zanwar (9/5): Great budget stay - The hotel was a nice budget stay, only 10 mins walk from the beach. They have a single room with the bathroom, which is very convenient as a solo traveller. The rooms are small, but that's the build of the house and it's absolutely value for money regardless

• Daniel (8/5): For a few nights, I'd highly recommend. If you're staying for longer...maybe somewhere else. - Very good price, cheapest in Torquay by far. About a 10 minute walk from the beach and the town centre/shops (although it's up hill). And 15 minutes from the train station. Bed was very comfy. And came with a (small) fridge. Was a very quiet in the room. TV, although small, did it's job. The host (can't remember his name) was very nice. Pubs and corner shops within a minute walk. The bathroom was very small, and the shower had pretty low pressure. The layout of the room could be altered for more room. Some dirty/dusty areas, but nothing too bad.

There is an area outside for 1 hour stay no return which ideal for dropping off bags

The room we got was very small and in need of renovation it was as clean as it could be considering, but we got it for a low price, so we didn't expect too much, it looks like there are larger rooms that are decorated better in the building.

• Derek (9/5): A very pleasant stay in a lovely comfortable room. - The room was compact, and pleasantly decorated. The bed was a good size, and comfortable, the desk and chair in the window bay was a good idea, as was the tub chair to the side of the bed, with a bedside table and light to the left side of the bed. The en suite bathroom was small but had a good layout with a big mirror, and light over the sink. A potential electrical safety issue, there was a double socket beside the desk, one of the sockets powered the television, but the other socket was connected to an extension lead with multiple socket outlets for the fridge, and kettle leaving a spare outlet for guests to use. It would be preferable to have further sockets professionally installed by a registered electrician to prevent possible overloading of the supply, and reduce the fire risk. The bottom of the entrance door was scraping on the carpet making the door difficult to open, this could be an issue for an older, or infirm guest.

• Jacob (3/5): Stay ... but only if you have nowhere else to stay ... - Erm. Not much. The bed was comfy-ish I suppose. And the manager was lovely. Location obviously great too. But thats it. Where to start. Room was dirty, dust everywhere. Shower was possibly the worst I have ever experienced. Layout of the room was just odd. Enormously over priced. Will not stay here again.

• Tom (3/5): Advertised on front notice board as B&B but when I asked what time breakfast was I was told there isn’t any included - Main road Very small single basement room, noisy and just not what I expected. No breakfast. Noisy, no room service regarding bed making just not what I am used to at B&Bs the next one I stayed at had a breakfast included, room tidying up and parking plus it was a Double room and much much better and only £5 a night more!
• Williams (10/5): Exceptional - The location is amazing. Just a quick walk from all the main places in Torquey. Right next to some shops and some local bars and pubs. The staff was amazing, very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend for couples or small family's. If I was picky I would say the bathroom is a little small but it wasn't a problem at all.
