- Tracey (2/5): Avoid this place! - Went to check and there was a sign in the window - cancel your reservation. Nobody was there to check in. Had to get another reservation for another hotel and fight with hotels.com to get a refund.

- Gregory (2/5): Do not stay here - The clerk at the hotel was a cross-dresser, while that normally isn’t a problem he came out of a closet, wearing a cut off night shirt and women’s panties before he gave us the key. Then there was a woman with children and her dog in our room. She said she turned the AC on for us. And the bed blankets and pillow pillows were disheveled where they had been laying on the bed. The cold water in the shower did not work meaning the shower was scalding. The sink did not work. The carpet was so gross that we could not walk across the floor barefoot. When we were trying to leave because of the state of the hotel, the electricity for the whole hotel cut off. And did not come back on till after we turned our key back in. The place was not only horribly dangerous and disgusting but completely unprofessional and we are still waiting for a refund. We went and stayed across the street at a different hotel.
- Fran (4/5): Worst hotel. - Difficult to find the office to check in. Run down appearance of the hotel. Had to stay on 2nd floor. The stairs were precarious. They were very rusty.
- Larry (2/5): - I found a dead roach in the apartment. The toilet seat didn't fit the toilet. The property connected to a low income area that resembles a ghetto project. We left without staying.
- Dewayne (2/5): - Shower leaks, no telephone in the room, neighboring room kept playing a home stereo load that I had to knock on their door twice to ask that they lower the music, no smoke alarm on the wall, just a hole where it was mounted before, sink faucet was too short that you couldn’t put your hand underneath as the spout was too short, found roachs climbing the walls and other bugs. Took pictures of all issues. Will pass the information to other travelers .

It smelled nauseating, the building was not structurally good, and there were creepy people standing in front of many of the rooms or lurking in the parking lots. It was truly scary. We would not have been able to sleep as we didn’t feel safe. We went to another hotel 30 minutes away and felt much safer!! It was a horrible experience! The pictures on the site were much nicer than reality… I would not have booked it otherwise!!

- Victoria (6/5): - Staff was very nice. Room smelled of cigarettes, but was clean. It's a cheaper room for a night so I can't be too harsh. They had extra tooth brushes and tooth paste! Old a a bit run down, but again, it's a truck stop right on the highway. My personal experience was it was a sketchy area. A random stranger said some things to me and I made sure to be in my room before dark and not leave. But it's a tiny town right off the highway.

- Ishmerai (2/5): Horror hotel - The room was infested with flies, a massive spider web was helping with that. There was tissue on the sheets. They obviously didnt wash the bedding before making it. Sheets also had 3D debris, like mucous. The bathroom door was warped and wouldnt shut. There was water damage on the ceiling. When we couldnt get a refund they showed us another room. We immediately left after seeing the black mold on the ceiling.

- Lidia (2/5): - This Inn is a joke, never ever pay 80 dollars/ night for such a bad maintained Inn. It’s a shame that it’s wearing the best value of America name. I’m from Europe and I Do Not recommend to experience this type of American stay. The property smells like urine, the stears are unsafe to walk up on 1st floor, we didn’t get towels in the room and had to walk back to front desk to ask for them. It was the worst accomodation I’ve ever had! And the breakfast that’s a lie, basically doesn’t exist, they put it as an amenity just to charge you more per night!

I cannot imagine these people had booked rooms here. When getting my luggage out they sat and watched. When I got into my room, they were looking in the windows of my car. I left so that my truck was not stolen. You get what you pay for!

- Doreen (2/5): Wanted to leave asap. - Entering the room it was just a slap in the face of with a smell of cigarette. It was so strong! It was hard to breathe. The sheets had cigarette burns and same with the toilet. The restroom had cigarette ashes all over the floor and there was no trash can to throw away little things.

I called for 30mins, both numbers and no one picked up. I knocked on the window/ door for as long as i called. I drove for 14hrs and i just wanted to rest my eyes.

Beds only had flat sheets, no fitted sheet, no bed spreads. 2 inch gap between bathroom floor and main floor. Stubbed toes walk through. Comb webs in corners. If this is America's best, then we are in terrible shape.

Yes we will stay with you again, however have plenty to eat for breakfast...will be back Memorial Day weekend..I like bananas. I hope the pool is open..can't wait! - W8504WSjohns (2/5): Avoid at all costs - To preface this review, I have stayed here several times. I booked online and I get there and they wont let me check in. They say they have no rooms available, I check into the super 8 nextdoor and the clerk told me that a lot of angry customers have been coming to her place to book. America's Best Value Inn had people in different rooms sharing bathrooms, busted pipes from a recent freeze. They would not refund me, even though I could not check in.
- Jianying (2/5): - Waited 20 minutes outside the property because the door was locked and nobody was at the front desk and nobody answered the phone. And it’s was windy and cold when I was waiting outside. The room stinks. No hot water for shower. 2 thin pillows and NO blanket.

Next day I asked to move rooms and the room they moved me into a room that had a fridge and a microwave which my last room didn’t have. Plus a coffee maker, dresser, and 2 bedside tables which the last room also did not have. And was much cleaner. Staff was very nice. Bed is comfortable. Good tv channel selection
- ROBERT (4/5): - What was unique was that only one electric outlet in the entire room worked. There was a used dirty towel on the back of the bathroom door, as well, to greet us on arrival. The outlet near the sink was covered with brown cardboard held in place by thumbtacks, I presume, to hide the fact that only one outlet was operating in the room. Mr. Roach greeted my girlfriend when she got up to use the restroom in the middle of the night, as well. The added element of two questionable middle aged men beating on our door offering maid service topped off our stay.

We get to our room and part of the window was broken out. We get in and the AC wasn't on, we set it to 60 and never got below 72 and that took all night to get there. Sheets had stains in them and the blankets or comforters were so thin they could have almost been considered as curtains.

If you like a firm matress this is the place for you. They also were not serving breakfast dur to covid even though it was included in the stay. Other than that it got us off the road for the night and a little sleep.

- Mjlousie (10/5): Great palce - It was a good choice to stay here. Was coming off of freeway and saw a flashing light. It said 49.99 so we choose to go in.. sure thang the rooms was 49.99 plus tax for that night. The front desk was very nice ..we was tired and ready for some sleep. She let us know up front to make sure not to leave the door open long while going in bc of the mosquitos and some wouldnt mind even saying something. The rooms had a great ac and froze the mosquito that gmdid come in. Bed was so comfortable. After getting in the room I read the reviews and none of them related to our room. It was in good standing and she did let us know up front that not all the rooms come with fridge and microwave. We didnt need them but we did luck up and got a room with each in there. They let us know there was no breakfast but pointed us in the right direction for some. Very very nice manager. She is there long hours. We decided to stay one more night and she waited on us the whole time.

It was cheap, we survived and drove off the next morning. Not a quality place to stay by any means but it had a bed, toilet and shower.

- Fasih (4/5): Comfy beds, good service but dirty bathrooms - Easy check in. We booked two rooms. One room OK but no microwave, dirty bathroom. Other room had microwave, broken lamp, no light in the bathroom and again dirty bathroom. It says in the description in hotels.com that breakfast is included but they do not provide breakfast that is something hotels.com has to work with them. Two good things about this hotel ,The front person was very welcoming, provided extra sheets. And second, the beds were very comfy. There was an extra sofabed alongwith the king size bed that means 4 can stay in a room.So if you are staying for good sleep, yes this is a good quiet hotel with confy beds.

The tub was extremely dirty.The mirror was dirty. There was no ash trays and no ice bucket.The leg on the table was broke and just propped up there.When I went to get more towels I was told I had to wait a couple hours cause they were all dirty. The rooms beside me the curtains were open and no one stayed in those rooms while I was there and you could see that the beds weren’t made and those rooms were not clean. I feel like they should be cleaned everyday when people check out. I never saw a cleaning lady the whole time I was there

The peep hole has paper towels stuffed into it, the room next door had a busted out exterior front window with a rock sitting under it. The towels were stained yellow. I was so disgusted I couldn't even stay there. I was there for about 10 minutes and just left my key and took off. Never ever again.

- James (2/5): Roach Motel!! - When checking in we were told they didn’t have any working room keys but they would let us in with their master key. The smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming from the outside. Inside our nonsmoking room it smelt of cigarettes probably due to the heavy smokers from the other rooms. The best thing about our room was that the air conditioning worked. We ended up leaving to book a room at a neighboring hotel after we found two cockroaches in one of the beds. A true roach motel!!

I was looking for a cheap place to stay and it's what i got. However the bed was friggin awesome...super soft which is had to find. All of the staff were so very pleasant.. this place suffers from owners not investing in their property properly. I'm a very easy guy to please but wouldn't take my family to this hotel as this is a cheap hotel not a nice hotel. In my opinion at least.

- 506mb (4/5): You get exactly what you think for the price - Just needed a place to sleep on a long road trip. Bed was clean. That is my only compliment. King bed with just two teeny tiny pillows. It looked ridiculous, and wasn't comfortable. Non-smoking room that smelled like bleach & smoke. A/C unit worked well. Dead roach in the bathroom. Mold and crud in the tub. Bathroom door that didn't close. Vent fan broken. Wouldn't come NEAR the sofa in there. More DNA & mystery stains on there than I care to think about. Got up early to get going. There was a carafe of coffee in the lobby, well I thought it was coffee- turns out it was sock water. Yup, everything I expected for the price.
- Xulong (10/5): Nice and clean hotel with excellent service - The room is very clean and have very good service. Our car broke down and the hotel and having problem find Lyft/Uber cars. We were able to get a lot of helps from the hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Unacceptable - Paid $65 through hotels.com for a room that the hotel posts is $45. No sign at the road, so almost passed it. Found a bag of needles in the room and took it to the staff at the desk. Staff apparently walked out today per the girls at the desk who was hired today along with one other worker at the desk who has only been there 1 week. I'm in shock and if it hadn't been so late and in a town with better options we would have walked out. Ceiling in bathroom falling in. Bathtub not good condition. Beds were clean best we could tell and we were able to sleep. I didn't expect a lot for $65, but didn't expect what we got either. Feel like we should get that extra $20 back that hotels.com charged us over the normal rate.

- Verified traveler (4/5): I don’t know - First off let’s say I did enjoy the beds very comfortable and the air conditioning was great but outside of that there are problems first off the room had lots a flies in the room flying around probably like 20 maybe because of the weather it was 95 out there so whatever the bathroom was so dam small and the tile was modded on the floor and in the ceiling and there was a cigarette pack behind the bed like for real and when I booked the room the said they Serve breakfast in the morning I was like cool then looking at the menu everything crossed off wow ok the only thing that wasn’t was cereal and milk so I wasn’t happy about that do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere
- giuseppe0057 (2/5): TEAR IT DOWN AND START OVER - I can't for the life of me see how this place got more than one star. There was a cake of used soap inn the shower, there was no toilet seat lid, towels were thin like dish rags, shower curtain held on by three hoops i connected the rest. terrible location, did not feel safe the entire time. the area was like an abandoned industrial area. Two choices of stale, cold cereal and a gallon of milk in a small metal wash tub does hardly constitute breakfast. Steer clear of this place and don't be misled by the ratings they are completely wrong.
- symphony7823 (2/5): WORST HOTEL! - If I could give this place less than 1 star, I would. We booked it through Hotwire and relied on the 3 1/2 stars to insure it would be a clean and safe place; it was neither clean nor safe. We were surrounded by other guests who thought nothing of yelling, jumping up and down, turning up the tv volume and fighting; and all of this at 1:00 AM! At 1:30, the police were called to deal with a domestic issue in the room above us. We had been driving all day and all we wanted was a good nights sleep. It was not to be in this awful place. To top it all off, when I went to get a cup of coffee the next morning, there was no one at the desk, no complimentary breakfast as advertised, and while there was “coffee”, there was no sugar or cream-not even coffee mate. Beware of this place!! It would be better to drive an hour further to Memphis to find a reliable and safe option. I also learned not to trust Hotwire!!
- vizxy (10/5): Best hotel best value EVER - This place was nothing what I expected. We’re driving cross country from South Carolina to California & stayed here for one night. Not only was this place very reasonably priced & right off the highway I received the best customer service from Dalton. He was so nice, courteous & made sure my family & I had two rooms next two each other. This place was clean, smelled exceptionally well & everything looked & felt modern. We had the best experience here. The bed was comfy, the sheets were clean & the area is quiet. It’s tucked in the back off the main road making it quieter than other hotels in the area. VERY HAPPY WILL BOOK AGAIN

- Cap (8/5): - This motel is frequented by hunters and fishermen. You get a nice bed, clean linens, hot shower and a tv that works. Don’t expect much more a d you’ll be fine.
- Steven (8/5): Best for price in the area. - Good roadside hotel. There are about three places in the area in this price range. This one seems like the best bet.
- Erica (2/5): - This place is falling apart - don’t get me wrong they’ve slapped a few coats of paint on, replaced the doors, added a nice tv and new shower kits. But it’s hard to overlook the rusting roof that’s falling all over the place, the rusted out metal stairs (that were also super slippery due to the rain when we came in), the un vacuumed carpet, the not so clean sheets and the bug I smashed in the bathroom...speaking of which - the tub wouldn’t close so you couldn’t take a bath and the water was rusty in color. To top it off...they must have used a gallon of that hotel smell cleaner stuff - it was so strong it was like we were chocking on it. Awful.
- Verlaine (6/5): not a bargain when you have to buy breakfast - I prepaid but there was confusion when I arrived, and I was sent to a room that was not cleaned or made up. This was hard because it was late and we had been on the road all day. Finally in a clean room, we were happy with cleanliness and recent remodeling. It was comfortable. Breakfast was not as advertised. Cold cereal and toast was all they had, nothing else of the items listed. I asked if I was too early but was told that was all they offered. We went to nearby Waffle House instead.

- jsdesqtx (2/5): Good Beds - Dirty Bathroom - Front desk lady was very nice. Booked a non-smoking room. First room given had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. Changed rooms with no problem. Still a very slight smell of smoke in the bedding. Bed was very comfortable with a foam contour mattress. Shower had an orange streak down the middle and a dirty rag on the curtain rod. Toilet was dirty - bowl was not cleaned - had old pee stains. Told the front desk the next morning and only got an "I'm sorry".
- NigelC914 (2/5): Avoid this place - Stopped for one night as happy with the Best Western chain that the name was attached with. Cheap was one thing, but this was terrible place. Hard to find firstly as behind KFC and no main sign. Hotel next to truck park and closed rv camp. Externally a dump, and internally no better. Room was damp, carpet feels like it was moving, bed not really made more the covers were thrown back on after last guest. Ac noisy but functions. Breakfast was okay looking, more a light continental. My advise, avoid Brinkley altogether. BW should be concerned with this place.
- nala5065 (2/5): VERY DISAPPOINTED - Our room was NOT cleaned when we got there @ 7:15 pm central. It looked like one of the housekeepers and a friend were staying there and only vacated the room after they got the call that it needed to be cleaned for a check-in. The beds were too close together for my wheelchair. All in all BAD HOTEL!
- patricial700 (4/5): Needs work - We are Best Western Rewards members so booked this hotel on line as we crossed the country since it was listed on the Best Western site. When we arrived, I went into the "lobby" to register, the clerk was on the phone and didn't recognize me for about ten minutes as I stood there waiting. Not even a nod. A homeless group was applying for a room and I think that was the issue the woman was on the phone so long. The room was okay but not up to what we have experienced at Best Western. I am not sure what Best Western is thinking to put their name on this hotel. Breakfast was almost non existent. The only thing that may have worked was the waffle maker. The coffee was cold in a thermos. The donuts were stale. The checkout person was also not familiar with the job. We will not stop here again.
- sophie5762 (2/5): Disappointed - The clerk was friendly and helpful, but that is where the good ended. The light switch did not work, there was crud on the handle, door, and buttons of the microwave, the sink had a crusty something on it, I had to scrape it off (it looked like fecal matter), there was no drain cap but there was a toothpaste cap laying in the drain, the bathroom was super tiny and had holes in the walls at either end of the tub, there was a thick layer of dust on everything, the heater smelled when I turned it on, and the clock was set incorrectly. If it hadn't been so late, we would have left.
- N2570DUdavids (2/5): Live and Learn - I stayed here 2 weeks ago while travelling because it was the perfect distance to spend the night on my trip. Unfortunately this motel was a loser. Paying in advance for a cheaper price I had no choice but to stay. The two employees I met were nice enough but that was the only thing positive I can say. The hotel grounds were grungy and dirty. Upon entering, the light switch didn't work and I had to find the outlet to plug the lamp in. Desk chair had what looked like construction debris on it. The coffee maker was sitting unplugged by the sink and had no outlet there to plug it in. The bed and shower were okay but the room had a empty broken shelf with a TV on it. Overall it was drab and uninviting. The wi-fi was so bad I used the wi-fi from the Super 8 next door and it was much better! Upon leaving in the morning I opened the door to see trash scattered all over the bad rock landscaping and parking lot. There were broken branches in some parking spaces and the whole hotel grounds were generally gloomy. Walking around to the front to get breakfast wasn't any nicer. There was scattered litter and trash all around the building. The so called breakfast was just plain lousy and the breakfast room was as gloomy and uninviting as the rest of the hotel. Best Western should be ashamed of having their name associated with this place. I write good reviews 99% of the time and am NOT a hotel snob! This place was a big waste of time and money and would not stay here again even if the room was free. Buyer beware! Dive that extra 40 minutes and find a better place to stay.
