Niets
- Michael (8/5): Perfekte Lage. Sehr gutes Restaurant. - Perfekte Lage. Sehr gutes Restaurant. Das Frühstück könnte etwas reichhaltiger sein.
- Dessing (9/5): Mooi hotel - De ontvangst was hartelijk.
- Hans-Peter (9/5): Sehr zufrieden - Lage sehr zentral.
- Ewoud (9/5): Mooie klassieke plek - Mooie klassieke plek.
- Klaus (9/5): -
- Claus R. (7/5): ... passt ... gerne wieder ... - - freundliche Mitarbeiter
- kostenloses WLAN (allerdings offenes Netz) - kostenloses WLAN (allerdings offenes Netz)
- in dieser Zeit (Mitte Nov.) wenig besucht

- Roth (8/5): -
- Nikolay (8/5): -
- Udo (10/5): sehr gut - sehr nette Bedienung.
-Auslegeware schon recht heruntergekommen
- Daniele (10/5): -
- Totsten (8/5): - The rustic furniture in the dining hall.
- Christian (8/5): -
- Lars (8/5): -

- Michal (9/5): -
- Stefanie (8/5): - Ruhige Lage, schönes Zimmer, leckeres Frühstück, schöner Biergarten.
- Bernadette (10/5): Top hotel super vriendelijke mensen.
- Karsten (8/5): -
- Marita (8/5): - Helt ok frukost, bra rum och badrum. Bra övernattningshotell.
- Tomasz (10/5): -
- Gutsch (9/5): Problemloser und wunderbarer Aufenthalt! - Frühstücksbuffet war groß und reichhaltig!
- Stefan (8/5): -
- EDDY (8/5): -
- Wolf Andreas (6/5): Licht und Schatten - Schöne Lage, sehr freundliche Mitarbeitende. Sehr gutes Abendessen.

- Doug (9/5): Lovely hotel! Nice staff. A great place to stay in Spay! - What a nice little surprise this hotel and restaurant were! Great location in the center of Spay near the river. Parking was free and near the hotel. The decor was very charming, with lots of wood, antiques, and items from nature. The room was comfortable, although there was no AC. Thankfully it was a comfortable day! We were there to see the Rhine in Flames and worried it might be noisy outside, but it was fine. We chose to eat dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. We were seated outside which was lovely & the food was quite good. Breakfast was GREAT and included in the price. I highly recommend staying here! AC in the room would have been nice. We are super early risers so an earlier breakfast would have been nice.
- F. (9/5): Superb - Friendly owners and helpful. Rooms are basic, yet super clean and well maintained. Breakfast is also good; lots of choice.
- Thomas (5/5): For the money we paid, disappointing. - Location was fine and quiet. The restaurant was not open, despite Booking.com stating the hotel had a restaurant. The only option for us was a camping ground dining option.
- Spj (8/5): ideal for an over-night stay, - Breakfast plentiful with enough choice. Location ideal for an over-night stay, solo traveller. There is free parking on the street or car-park opposite. A friendly, helpful and charming receptionist. The Alter Post was fine; no complaints there ... I arrived on a Monday and nearly every place in the area that I looked at was not open for food or drinks etc. So, check beforehand.
- Luc (9/5): Superb -
- Monika (8/5): Very good - Nice building with old charm, comfortable beds, great arrangement at breakfast. Good location to explore the area. Kind and helpful staff. No access to coffee or tea during times outside of breakfast.
- Sabrina (9/5): Superb - Nice experience. The staff was accommodating and attentive. Quiet, clean, good breakfast, and cute location close to a walkway along the Rhein. Slightly dated furniture in the room, but new bathroom and comfy mattress made up for it.
- Tuncay (10/5): Nice place to stay - Great place with reasonable price
Very nice breakfast and food in their restaurant
Friendly staff and comfortable rooms
Free parking lot
- Lynn (5/5): Disappointing customer service - This is a lovely old building and the rooms are clean and comfortable When we arrived (early) the hotel was closed, then a member of staff arrived and phoned someone who spoke English, who didn't know about our booking. Then they gave us a room key on the doorstep.
I messaged them to let them know that we would return to the hotel in the evening as the restaurant was closed and we were eating out.
When we got back to the hotel at 8.30pm it was in darkness and no staff were present.
We found our room which was lovely.
In the morning we went down for breakfast and it appeared like there were no staff around again so we helped ourselves to some breakfast.
I went to leave the key on reception and there was a member of staff there who asked me to pay (even though I had paid online) eventually she agreed that I had paid.
I was so disappointed as we chose this hotel because we've been to the restaurant before and thought it would be lovely to stay there but the staff - or lack of staff- felt very strange. The person I spoke to on reception was quite unfriendly. I think we expected more as it is a hotel
- Benoit (5/5): Not very pleasant!! Thank God for only 1 night! - We booked last minute, room was really too small but it was clean and staff were sweet.
Breakfast was ok. Continental.
The rooms are not handicap friendly and have a steep stairs to climb and after mentioning we are an aged couple… gave us a room at the end of a long corridor! So if you want to stay here , book in advance and ask fr a comfortable room. We booked last minute, but that doesn’t excuse to be given the smallest corner room! Reading reviews of spacious room, we had booked and also Booking.com gave us a discount but very very small room!!! No space at all… last minute booking punished????
Not at all like described as in booking.com
- Anne (8/5): Very good - Very kind staff - had a huge car trip ahead of me and asked if they could fill my thermos of coffee - they did so with a smile! thank you! Very clean and quet room, very lovely staff!!
- Heidi (7/5): Lovely experience! - Very quaint, historic hotel, on the bus and train route. Lovely area, beautiful surroundings, so pleasant to go walking around the area. The food at the restaurant was excellent. It was quite hot and there was no fan or air conditioner in the room. It rained heavily in the night, so we couldn't keep the windows open. The hairdryer didn't work.
- Mitchell (8/5): Pretty good overall for the price and location. - Great location, good value, food was good, staff were friendly. Very hot at night with no air con. Nobody around before 3pm to drop bags - but someone came to let us in when we found phone number to call.
- Jon (10/5): Great place for a weekend away at Easter - Great hotel, great food, great reisling, great staff Nothing
- Ian (9/5): Lovely spot - Great location on the Rhine
Plenty of parking Nothing
- Renee (10/5): Exceptional - Very welcoming for Americans. Great experience
- Achim (8/5): Very good - The food in the restaurant in the hotel was very, very good.
The bicycle garage is well equipped for small repairs.
The staff is very helpful & friendly.
- Paul (2/5): This hotel should not open on a Tuesday if it is not prepared to provide help and advice to its paying customers - Pretty property , near train station, clean. We stopped night of Tuesday 22nd August, we knew the restaurant was closed However the day before we arrived we were informed by the hotel that we had to collect our key from a box outside the hotel using a code. The reception and the bar were shut. We needed help to get food and drink as we’d arrived by train , as it transpired all the other places to eat and drink in Spey were also shut on this Tuesday. After walking around Spay for 2 hours we ended up buying up buying crisps and water from a garage.
- Pruteanu (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Ales (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (10/5): Would stay again, good under shelter parking for motorbike - Breakfast was good plenty to choose from, great location, quirky place, friendly staff. Nothing

- Ada (10/5): A great place to stay! - A lovely hotel on the banks of the Rhine. Very comfortable rooms, friendly, helpful staff and excellent food in the restaurant.
- M (8/5): Very good -
- Charfe (9/5): Great stay - Great breakfast and friendly staff. Good shower. Lovely old building full of character in a quiet area, near the Rhine river, which is great for cycling or walking beside. Bus stop right outside which we took to go to Koblenz. Room a bit small but lots of storage available. Tea /coffee in room would have been nice
- Ada (10/5): a very comfortable hotel with good food - very comfortable room. friendly, helpful staff and excellent food in the restaurant. great breakfast too.
- Peter (9/5): Superb - Hotel was very nice comfortable spacious. The breakfast was good ample parking. If visiting on a Monday this is the dayoff The village is completely shut on a Monday but we knew this ahead of arriving 20min walk to the nearest restaurant and sorted. Would like to of tried the restaurant.
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Great hotel in a lovely town. Friendly staff and a good breakfast. Good location a couple of minutes walk from the railway station and the river. Excellent food in the restaurant.
- RossB1628 (10/5): Best Place in Town - From Scotland, Stayed here before working at Schottel, it’s just a 5 minute walk away. The place is nice and clean, very friendly staff. The service is amazing just like the food that’s served there. The rooms are a good size, you get a comfortable nights sleep. The lady who owns it is very friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere in the place is great they make you feel at home. Would highly recommend this place.
- Tripinion2015 (8/5): We will return - Had a great weekend in this Hotel. The rooms were basic but clean.
WE will return for the Kitchen. Great and authentic food with good service.
Enjoyed there two nights with dinner and wines from Weingut Matthias Muell , that you can buy next door to take home.
- DennisWestSussex_UK (10/5): Ideal location and great food - Stopped here again recently on our way to Southern Germany and on our return. We stay here every two years and the staff always remember us, great welcome each time. The rooms are spotlessly clean well fitted out, parking is easy and free. The wi-fi is a little difficult. The restaurant food at dinner and breakfast is superb, cannot fault the local specialities. Just a few minutes walk to the peaceful banks of the Rhine, much better location than noisy Boppard. Highly recommended.
- The_Cafe_Tester (8/5): Good location to visit Boppard and Koblenz + very good parking - The hotel is classically Germany and very well maintained. Our room was good, over looking the main road but that was very quiet. Breakfast was a good in a nice light and airy room. Evening meals could be taken inside the lovely dining area or outside in what was rather like a beer garden, we tried both and really enjoyed it, very good food. English is spoken by a number of staff. I'd stop here again no problem.
- barbara115de (8/5): Excellent restaurant - We did not stay at the hotel but ate at the restaurant. Even though we arrive close to closing time, we were served an excellent lunch. We ordered the wine tasting and shared it with three of us which was plenty of wine for lunch. My one friend ordered the sauerbraten and said it was one of the best she had ever eaten. My other friend ordered the Wiener schnitzel Andi also loved it. I am a vegetarian and ordered a side of red cabbage and a side of Spetzle. The red cabbage was delicious this spaetzle was ordinary. The service was attentive and good. The atmosphere was fun and interesting. This is a good place to stop if you are in spay.
- Rcscruffy4 (10/5): Excellent - Excellent location. . Breakfast was great, big selection, well presented. Dinner in the restaurant was outstanding with large serving sizes. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Booked for two nights and ended up staying for a week. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend this property. I travel a lot and I'm pretty fussy about cleanliness. This place was above and beyond my expectations. Other than the yippy dog across the street every morning, this was the perfect hotel.
- DennisWestSussex_UK (10/5): Always good service and great food - Stopped here again twice during our drive to, and from, Bavaria. Great location just outside Boppard, 2 minutes walk from the Rhine itself. Old style family run German hotel, very clean and serving great food at reasonable prices. Free parking opposite the hotel and a really good breakfast buffet included in the room price.
- Dag-Eriksen (6/5): Short visit to the village of Spay - This week business trip toke me to a small village in Germany named Spay. Spay is nicely located next to the river of Rhein (famous wine area). During my short visit to this village I stayed at the local small hotel (Flair Hotel Alter Posthof). When I arrived the hotel in the evening I was met of a friendly staff (their English could be better but that how it is :)).
The room I got was ok for one night and the cleanliness were good. After checking in I had a nice dinner with people from the factory I visit and the food which was served was as expected, nice tasty local food :).
Breakfast was traditional German food, bread, chees, ham, jam e.g (buffet)
Overall my impression was good and the cost for 1 night was 64 Euro which was good price for this hotel
Will stay there next time too when I visit our costumer again.
