• Francisco (7/5): Foi curta e agradável, mas reúnem condições para proporcionarem uma experiência doutro nível. - O pequeno almoço é muito bom, com variedade e qualidade. Não considero aceitável a pessoa que desempenha funções de recepcionista, em Portugal, não falar um português fluente. Entendo como desrespeito pelo país e pela sua cultura e identidade. O edifício é muito bonito, mas precisa de algumas obras. Não há indicações a sinalizar a recepção e, como há três edifícios distintos, obriga a andar à procura com a bagagem na mão, o que não é nada cómodo.
• Innes (9/5): Gorgeous old building, beautifully appointed; felt very classy. - Gorgeous old building, beautifully appointed with antique furniture, pictures and old photographs, many, intriguingly, of Prince Philip (and Princess Margaret), who holidayed here. Lovely gardens and great views, all sited conveniently between the rail station and old town. We were upgraded to a wonderful suite with HUGE bedroom and large bathroom and small living room. The staff were very friendly and helpful, with excellent English. The buffet breakfast was fresh (hot rolls, pastries and boiled eggs) and delicious. Some might be disappointed at the lack of TV in the room, but we didn't miss it one bit -- enjoy the beautiful scenery outside!
• Divya (5/5): It’s a decent hotel. But not as upscale or refined as the hotel portrays in pictures online. For a special trip, we want - Room is large, location is quiet. Staff was pleasant and polite. The outdoor landscaping is nice. If you have a car, there is parking available. The history of the hotel is interesting. Fit and finish details were disappointing: peeling paint, rust on bathroom fixtures, rusty nails on chairs, water damage and stains on couches, chairs, and rugs. The details are not as nice as portrayed in online pictures. Breakfast Saturday morning had flies landing on the meats and fruits and the food seemed unattended. Outdoor furniture was either wet or dirty or falling apart, generally unappealing to use. On Friday, the property next door was burning something in the garden. The smoke drifted into hotel, making our clothes and skin/hair smell like smoke. Bathroom window would not close fully once opened, and man at front desk was polite but uninterested in helping to close the window when I told him it would not close. The street leading to the property is a bit dark and empty, doesn’t give a sense of safety when walking to the hotel after dark. We decided it was best to leave one day early and go back to Lisbon.

• Simone (9/5): Stilvolles, sehr ruhiges Ambiente mit feuchtem Charakter. - Sehr nettes und hilfreiches Personal. Wunderschöne Lage mit romantischem Park, und perfekt wenn man mit dem Auto anreist. Extrem ruhig und dunkel nachts (falls einem das zum Schlafen als sehr wichtig erscheint). Leckeres und frisches Frühstücksbuffet. Sehr sauberes Bad und bequemes Bett. Die extreme Feuchtigkeit in unserem Zimmer im untersten Stock vom Hauptgebäude war unangenehm. Auch die fleckigen Teppiche hätten wir am liebsten vor die Tür geschmissen.

Wealthy family has owned the property for over 200 years, wiith lovely grounds, pool, private gated parking, minutes walk to all the sights. Must do hotel.

• Mulder (6/5): Sfeervolle plek met historie. - De locatie en het ontbijt. Onze kamer, een paar trappen vanaf het hoofdgebouw, had maar een klein raampje bij de voordeur dat open kon. Plafond was hoogstens 2.10 hoog; voor mij voelde dat best claustrofobisch. De badkamer had schimmelige randjes. De tuin was overwoekerd. Het geheel kan wat TLC gebruiken.

I had wonderful suprise , when I found bouget of flowers by bedside on arrival. It was my BD and hotel organised by mine husband request. Flowers were extraordinary. Wisterias was flowering outside as well ...It was fairy tale hotel - loved every moment.

The breakfast was excellent and generous variety. It was a huge bonus to have a free parking spot at the hotel as parking is extremely limited in town. The historical property was lovely and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. This would very highly recommend! I wish that I could have stayed another day

• Renata (8/5): Um lugar de muito bom gosto em uma cidade mágica. - O lugar é lindo e os funcionários bacanas! Ficamos em um quarto ótimo, após um up grade. O quarto é imenso, assim como o banheiro. A pousada é bem localizada, estando a uma pequena caminhada do centro histórico. Tivemos problema com o chuveiro. Na primeira noite tivemos que sair às 23h00 para tomar banho em outro quarto. No dia seguinte, corremos com o banho para não acabar a água quente.

The location is wonderful, close to the city center and great restaurants and cafes. The staff was impeccable—very attentive and cordial. • Dieter Paelman (9/5): Goede uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan Sintra - De ligging was heel praktisch: Sintra en de kastelen op wandelafstand. Eens voorbij de poort van het domein ben je in een oase van rust. Het pand en de (bad)kamer kan een opfrissingsbeurt gebruiken.

• Antonina (9/5): Empfehlenswert - Eine sehr schöne und gepflegte Anlage. Viele Fotos aus vergangener Zeit. Weitläufig und gut gelegen. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und draußen gab es auch eine Sitzgelegenheit. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Räume sind sehr hellhörig. Wir hatten ein Zimmer unten und haben die Leute über uns laufen hören. Es war nicht sehr störend. Das Wasser in der Badewanne lief leider nicht richtig ab, somit stand man Wadentief im Wasser beim duschen.

Will definitely be staying here again! Absolutely nothing to complain about! Check in was easy, our room was adorable and we loved how quiet and private the location was.

• E (9/5): Incredible, dreamy Sintra place - The place is beautiful and still belongs to the family, which is inhabiting the main building. It has a decadent authentic feel and plenty of history behind it. Sr Horacio was a pleasant and helpful presence throughout our stay. Also, to discover that the thick forest you see from the windows belongs to the property and wander its magical paths was a real treat.

• Lara (9/5): Princess vibes 👑 - Lovely hotel with historic feel. Our room was quite big which was nice (normal double room). All attractions and dinner options were easy to reach by walking. We would choose this hotel again if we ever go back. We missed a bigger mirror in the room, but its understandable that one would not want to add a random big mirror to the historic decor.

I would especially like to mention the hospitality and responsiveness of the staff and the delicious breakfasts. We were also pleasantly surprised by the Aqua Di Parma line products in the bathroom! A place where all the hustle and bustle of the world completely disappears. Where you can focus on beauty and harmony.

• Ellen (8/5): Modern en luxe in een historisch gebouw. - Een historisch gebouw waar queen Elisabeth en prince Philip vroeger op bezoek kwamen. In het hotel voel je de geschiedenis door het gebouw, de inrichting en de tuin. Het bed, de badkamer/wc, zijn luxueus en modern. Prachtig gelegen, aan de rand van het historisch centrum. Je loopt zo naar de heerlijkste restaurants en de bushaltes.

• Jorge Martinho (7/5): Bom alojamento com boa relação qualidade preço e ideal para estacionar o carro/moto. - A localização é excelente para estacionar o carro/moto e percorrer as principais atrações de Sintra a pé. Gostei também da disponibilidade da funcionário que nos recebeu e nos transmitiu algumas informações importantes sobre a vila e museus a visitar. Os quartos não têm televisão. Quarto e casa de banho com qualidade aceitável, apresentando alguns pormenores na limpeza. Pequeno almoço modesto.
• Bruna (4/5): Para o preço que cobram o serviço e as comodidades tem que ser melhores. A area da piscina estava completamente ao aband - Localização calma e tranquila. Limpeza, falta de manutenção nos jardins. Pequeno Almoço (para quem quer dormir um pouco mais e vai a 30minutos do fim o serviço é quase nulo. Não há reposição, durante dois dias não tinham manteiga, havia uma salada de fruta com super mau aspecto seca e ressequida). Falta de Staff esperamos imenso tempo para fazer o check out, tocamos na campainha varias vezes, até que desistimos e deixamos as chaves no balcão.

• Paul (8/5): We'd come and stay again in a heartbeat but it's these little things that let you down. - We stayed one night as we had an appointment at 9.30am to get our residency which was a 40 min journey through rush hour so we were very disappointed to learn that breakfast commenced at 08.30!! Really? So we ended up not having breakfast and had coffee and a pashtel de nata at 10.30am after our appointment. The room was perfect and quirky and the bed super comfy but the pillows were a joke resulting in a restless night for both of us and having to take paracetamol in the afternoon for neck ache. It's not hard to have some soft/medium/firm pillows available. The bathroom is beautiful but dangerous. You need to have a bath mat for standing whilst having a shower. One breakdast tea bag with two thimble cups of milk. Really?

A equipe foi muito atenciosa e o estacionamento funcionou muito bem. Fica um pouco longe do centro de Sintra e o café da manhã poderia ser melhor.
