La proximité de la porte bleue et la multitude de restaurants aux alentours est un réel plus. En fait pas grand chose, peut être la proximité d'un minaret qui vous rappelle qu il est 5h du matin
• Linna (10/5): Exceptional stay - It was exceptional stay. The room is beautiful and spacious. We felt like we were invited to a noble house. The common area garden is gorgeous and calm. The staff are amazing, helpful and kind. The location is good, close by to everything and easy access to the main roads without walking too far. The door hinges need some oil, it makes squeaky noise when opening the door.

Il personale gentilissimo, ci hanno prenotato tour a prezzi molto più convenienti che atri siti più noti. Ci hanno anche accompagnato a comprare il Tè! Veramente fantastici. Colazioni super. Nulla. Ma essendo molto grande e disperso, in alcuni punti della camera il wi-fi prende male, ma dove prende funziona benissimo.

Instalações boas com jardim interno acolhedor e agradável. Quarto muito grande e confortável. Café da Manhã ao estilo marroquino , porém muito simples, pouca variedade para quem não gostar do estilo. Servido com muita cortesia e individualmente para cada hóspede. O quarto pode melhorar no aspecto limpeza e higienização do ar condicionado que está com muita poeira nas saídas do ar.

• ELENA (9/5): Cómo en casa - La amabilidad y eficiencia del personal. Los desayunos en el maravilloso jardín. La ubicación es perfecta para moverse por la Medina. No es que no me gustara porque entiendo que los riad son casas singulares con una estructura particular, pero sugiero que en la descripción de las habitaciones en Booking se indique la planta en la que está ubicada la habitación para poder elegir la más adecuada.

Personalul este foarte prietenos, mereu la dispoziție și mereu gata să ajute. Camerele curate și mari, micul dejun frumos servit și exact cât trebuie. Piscina destul de mare. Totul este foarte bine gândit. Recomand cu căldură tuturor. Managerul Ali și toți ceilalți ne-au făcut să ne simțim ca acasă. Aș reveni oricând.

Sa situation à l'entrée de la médina est un atout majeur. Véritable havre de paix, le Riad est préservé de l'agitation de la Médina. Nous avons logé dans une chambre impeccable et très confortable. Nous tenons à remercier l'équipe d'Ali pour son accueil et son aide précieuse. Grâce à leur réactivité, nos trajets en taxi, nos visites guidées et nos sorties autour de Fès ont été parfaitement organisés.

• Martin (9/5): Wunderbar - Die Lage ist perfekt. Am Rande der Medina, so dass der Parkplatz für das Auto sehr nah war ( 2min). Aber trotzdem ziemlich zentral. Die Zimmer waren hervorragend, lediglich die Treppen waren für meinen Schwiegervater (80 Jahre) etwas schwierig. Aber sie haben extra ein Zimmer im EG barrierefrei eingerichtet. Super!!! Frühstück war sehr gut Service hervorragend. Personal außerordentlich freundlich. Ein Oase der Ruhe Die Dachterasse ist ein muss!!! Perfekter Ausblick.

One of our favorite moments was enjoying a relaxed breakfast in the afternoon, followed by a peaceful time in the garden, listening to the birds in the background — it was pure tranquility. In the evenings, we loved chatting with the doorman and the hotel manager. Their warmth and hospitality made the experience even more special. They were always happy to share stories and explain the history of the riad, which made everything even more interesting and meaningful. I almost didn’t book this riad because the pictures made it look a bit old-fashioned. But when I arrived, my first reaction was: wow! The place is absolutely beautiful, much more than the photos suggest. Everything is very clean, well cared for, and full of charm. The people working here are incredibly friendly and genuinely welcoming. You can really feel the love and pride they have for this place. We can’t wait to come back! Nothing

La posizione è strategica e sicura, attorniata da buoni caffè e ristoranti. La struttura è accogliente, con un giardino meraviglioso in cui potersi risposare e rilassare. Il personale ci ha accolto Con gentilezza e professionalità, ci siamo Sentite davvero coccolate. Ci hanno subito dato delle informazioni importanti per muoversi nella Medina. La stanza era pulita, semplice ma dotata di tutti i confort. La colazione era molto Buona e fatta in casa. La connessione Internet era instabile, debole nelle camere.
• JUAN CARLOS (8/5): recomendable - el trato agradable del personal a cargo y el desayuno excelente, la ubicación es perfecta para correr desde allí por la medina, un jardín muy cuidado, limpio cama cómoda, repetiría y se lo aconsejo a mis amigos las escaleras, ya sabia que ese era un asunto que me iba a encontrar en el riad, subir escaleras me puede pero tuvieron el detalle de cambiarme de habitación por otra que tenia que subir menos escaleras

The owner help us with a local tour guide to the Medina with reasonable price. The staff helped with luggage up and down the stairs. Our friends report no hot water in the 1st morning. It was fixed the next day though.

La gentillesse et la disponibilité d'Ali pour nous conseiller et réserver les visites en taxi ou avec un guide selon nos demandes. Le riad en lui -même, superbement décoré "à la marocaine", dont le jardin en été doit être fort agréable (il a beaucoup plu en décembre 2025 ce qui est exceptionnel de l'avis général) La gentillesse du personnel en général, d'Abdul en particulier.

• Kerry (3/5): - The location was excellent and the room was very pretty. Despite booking the most expensive room in the Riad, the Suite, it did not have hot water for one out of our two night stay. While this was fixed by lunch time on our second day, it significantly impacted our visit. We felt this was handled poorly as we had complained multiple times and each time bar once, where an alternative room was offered to shower in. we were told to keep running the water and it was now fixed, when it was not. There was no Wi-Fi available in the room, while this is stated, we do not feel it was made clear in the advertisement for the room. The air conditioning unit was noisy, but did work.
• Sayuki (10/5): 伝統的なリヤドに泊まれました！ - 立地・スタッフの方の人柄・雰囲気がとても良かったです◎ 立地 ブー・ルジュード門のすぐそばの立地で、観光にとても最適でした！繁華街の直ぐ側なので夜に外食しても安心して帰路につけました。 スタッフの方の人柄 どの方も親切で、最初の日にフェズの構造を教えてもらえたのが良かったです。おすすめの道、行かないほうがいい道などを聞けて、勝手がわかりました。 雰囲気 中庭があって素敵でとても落ち着く雰囲気です！どうやら中庭があるリヤドが本物のリヤドだそう。緑やその日の天気を感じながら過ごせられたのが良かっです。それぞれの部屋はフェズにある門の名前がついていますが、今回泊まった部屋はブー・ジュルード門をコンセプトにしており、青緑を基調とした素敵な装飾が施されていてとても素敵な内装でした。リビング（ソファーあり）・寝室・バスルームが分かれた広い部屋で、部屋の中からも中庭が見えます。 +朝食 朝食はシンプルながらも美味しく、鳥のさえずりの中で食べられるのが良かったです！（コーヒーor紅茶、パン3種（パンケーキやクレープのようなものも）、タジンで焼いた目玉焼き） 良くなかった点ではありませんが、部屋への移動は階段で、かつ分岐があって割と複雑です！ また部屋の天井がとても高いので暖房が完全に効くことはないと思ったほうがいいです。ただ、リビングと寝室にそれぞれ暖房がついていますし、毛布もいただけるので、寝るときに寒いことはありませんでした！

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful throughout our visit. Our room was a good size with a well-designed layout and a comfortable bed, plus a nice bathroom. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this Riad to everyone.

• Sophie (10/5): Riad à découvrir - Très bien situé, accueil très agréable et le personnel très disponible. Le petit déjeuner est copieux ainsi que les repas. Ali a été d une grande aide pour la découverte de Fès et ses alentours. Le prix du repas ( déjeuner et diner) au riad est excessif.
• Anja (9/5): Sehr schöner alter Riad in der Nähe des blauen Tors - Sehr schönes Riad ganz dicht beim blauen Tor und mit dem Auto in gut vertretbarer Lauflänge zu erreichen. Sehr hilfsbereites und freundliches Personal. Rezeption hat ganz guten deutschsprachigen Führer für Stadtführung durch die Medina organisiert, der weit mehr als 3 Stunden mit uns verbracht hat. Die Treppenstufen zum Zimmer in der 3. Etage ( 50 Stufen) sind für Ältere und ungeübte schwierig. Gott sei Dank bekommt man Hilfe fürs Gepäck. Frühstück im Innenhof kann morgens eher ungemütlich und sehr kühl sein ( November) , ( hängt sicher von der Jahreszeit ab) und das Angebot war wenig variabel - frisches Obst wäre schön gewesen.

• Cecile (9/5): Perfecte locatie voor een bezoek aan Fès - Behulpzame en vriendelijke mensen. Ideale locatie. Bedden waren aan de harde kant en kamer een beetje donker.
• Dmitrij (9/5): - Es war unser erster Riad im Marokko und im großen und ganzen waren wir damit auch zufrieden. Zentrale Lage, hilfsbereites Personal, großes Zimmer (sah im Wirklichkeit besser aus, als auf den Fotos) mit 2 Klimaanlagen, nettes Frühstück. Organisatorische Hilfe (z.B. bei der Flughafenabholung). Das Zimmer war im 2. OG (natürlich mit schnallen Treppen und ohne Aufzug) - aber genau dafür bucht man ein Riad statt 08/15-Kettenhotel. Missverständnis bei der Anzahl der Betten - die in der Beschreibung angegebenen 2 Sofabetten waren im Wirklichkeit nicht zum Schlafen geeignet, sodass wir noch für ein Zusatzbett für das Kind bezahlen mussten. Die Beschreibung sollte aber schon angepasst werden. Wasserdruck in der Dusche war schwach.

Very close to the medina in Fez (30 seconds walk, 1 minute to the Blue gate). The breakfast was lovely. Most importantly, all the staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. They made me feel very welcome. They arranged my taxi to and from the airport and also arranged for a day trip to Meknes, Voulibilis, Moullay Idriss, with a private driver. They also provided me with a map of the Medina. Beautiful Riad/courtyard with pool. An oasis amongst the hustle and bustle of Fez. N/A
• Robert (9/5): A quiet magical oasis in a noisy busy city, Fes. - A beautiful Riad, one felt you were in Morocco. The courtyard was filled with plants and trees and flowers and fruit trees. Plus, the traditional water pool. Our room was magical, service was excellent and the breakfast was very good. The staff was helpful and professional going beyond our expectations. Its location is great just inside the Blue Gate. The reading room is a great quiet place to recharge your batteries. Security is top notch. Hmm, the terrace is under used, and would add a special ambiance to offer food and beverage to the experience. Be aware, there are many stairs to climb.

• cristian sergio (10/5): Solo para quienes pretenden alojarse en un genuino palacio, con servicios excepcionales. - La ubicación es excepcional, dentro de la Medina y a pocos metros de la Port Bleu. El Riad es de una belleza insuperable, con un patio que invita a quedar horas allí. La habitación era excepcional en su belleza decorativa y amplitud, muy cómoda. La atención de parte de su dueño fue de una gran calidez, que nos ofreció cenar y lo hicimos en un ambiente típico bellísimo y con dos platos -una sopa típica marroquí y un tangine de ave- exquisitos. También muy servicial el resto de los empleados, y con gran calidad humana en el trato. Solo como punto a mejorar el desayuno, al carecer de frutas. Destaco por último la excepcional buena fe del dueño, porque a pesar de que nuestra tarjeta de crédito no había aprobado la transacción, igualmente nos mantuvieron la reserva confiando en nuestra palabra. Un gesto que hoy en día es excepcional y que nos fideliza con el Riad. Recomendamos al 110% alojarse en este riad genuinamente palaciego. El desayuno es mejorable, pero frente a todo lo excepcional del establecimiento pasa a un plano insignificante.

• Miranda (10/5): - We stayed at Riad Jaouhara for 3 nights and found it an absolute delight! The rooms were spacious; they were very accommodating, putting us in a different room that was kinder on my mother’s knees; and breakfast was great! We really enjoyed our interactions with the gentleman who served us breakfast every day- he was polite and charming. The Riad was within 3 minutes walk to the blue gate and highly accessible to the souk and major attractions.

• GHISLAINE (10/5): - J'ai beaucoup apprécié le Maroc et la gentillesse de ses habitants, mais je garderai surtout la "saudade" du riad Jaouhara à Fès, un havre de paix. Bien sûr la gentillesse et la classe du personnel ont agrémenté encore plus ce séjour, en commençant par son directeur, Ali, d'un charisme exceptionnel et ses collaborateurs semblables à son image, comme Ahmed (très cultivé)la jolie Souka, Amin et un autre monsieur dont j'ai oublié le nom (qu'il me pardonne). Chacun parlant parfaitement français (Amin a même un petit accent lorrain), sans oublier le chauffeur Ali Aboul qui m'attendait à l'aéroport pour m'amener au riad et avec qui j'ai fait aussi le tour de la ville. L'unique inconvénient est que lorsque je suis entrée dans ce petit coin de paradis, je n'avais plus envie d'en sortir ni d'en partir.

The staff is very attentive, friendly and helpful with everything you need. The breakfast is delicious. The Riad is very well decorated in traditional marrocanian style and the room was comfortable and clean.

• Christine (9/5): Un Séjour dans l’ensemble très réussi, entre modernisme et traditions ancestrales. - Le riad est un hâvre de paix à proximité immédiate de la médina, ce qui nous a permis de faire beaucoup de choses à pieds. Le personnel de jour comme de nuit est à votre écoute, gentil, serviable et discret, toujours prêt à vous conseiller et organiser les sorties, en résumé à votre disposition. La chambre était grande, et le lit extrêmement confortable, mais avec une déco trop vieillotte à mon goût Il manque de table avec canapés pour prendre le petit déjeuner. Il n’y en a que 2, si elles sont occupées vous vous retrouvez assis sur des chaises en fer peu confortables et une toute petite table ronde. De même qu’il y a un beau rooftop, avec une vue imprenable sur Fès et les montagnes environnantes, mais rien de confortable pour s’installer et y prendre une pause. Le riad bien que très accueillant est à mon goût un peu trop ”dans son jus”, j’aurais préféré quelque chose de plus coloré, lumineux.

• claudia (10/5): Fez bezoeken met riad Jaouhara als thuisbasis is heerlijk!!!! - De rust om je terug te trekken uit de hectiek van de medina. Dag en nacht persoonlijke aandacht. Grote kamer en heerlijk ontbijt Ik vind het jammer dat het dakterras niet zo betrokken is bij de riad. Het was er niet heel gezellig.

Easy to find. It is like a peaceful oasis in the Medina with a lovely garden and a clean little pool. You wake up to the song of chirping birds and water trickling down from the fountain. The breakfast is delicious, The beds are comfortable. The sitting room , the bedrooms , the garden are decorated with taste. No kitsch here : amazing furniture , lamps, original zellige mosaics ,cedar wood ceilings. column with intricate carvings...Air conditioning, wifi, and TV are integrated to the lot , seamlessly. Highly recommended experience ! Nothing.

• Chun (9/5): Steps from the Medina - Great Courtyard and Staff - The stars of our stay are the room itself (Bab Bouljoud Suite) and the staff. The night staff Amir and Achmed were exceptional as are the rest of the front desk. Breakfast in the courtyard garden was very enjoyable, and we arranged through front desk to have a taxi tour (Royal Palace Golden Doors, Tannery, two Panoramic heights, Pottery) and lunch reservations to Ruined Garden. The room had high ceilings and it was like staying in a historic palace, with the intricate tilework and woodwork. There is a living room and bedroom, four poster bed with netting. Window view into the courtyard (partly obstructed by trees, but still pleasant to hear birdsong). The location is excellent, steps away from car dropoff (Meeting Point - Office de Poste in google maps), the Blue Gate (Bab Bouljoud), and the medina. Also close to the newly re-opened Dar Batha Museum of Islamic Arts (beautiful grounds and architecture) Only downside to the suite: the bath showerhead definitely needs updating, it is ornate, but not enough heat or water pressure, and it leaks. Be careful with the water splashing out. The stairs are part of a historic riad, so you have to be fairly mobile.
