Das Hostel ist ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen aber trotzdem okay. Man sollte bei der Buchung darauf achten welches Zimmer man bucht. Ich hatte bei 40 Grad nur eines mit Ventilator, wurde aber gleich beim einchecken nochmal darauf hingewiesen.

• Kate (10/5): Great location, comfortable stay, and lovely guesthouse owner! - We booked two rooms at the Canaan guesthouse in Kanchanaburi, one for me and my partner and one for his parents. Our experience was excellent. The two-twin bedroom was spacious and peaceful, with a lovely little yard to relax in while surrounded by plants. The main guesthouse area was also really nice to spend time in. The owner went above and beyond for us, even changing my partner's parents to a different room to better suit their needs. She was incredibly helpful and offered many excellent suggestions on what to do during our three days in Kanchanaburi – we thoroughly enjoyed each of her suggested activities! We bought pancake breakfast one morning, which the owner kindly made for us very promptly, and the pancakes were delicious. The rooms were clean, the space was comfortable, and the location was perfect for us (a 5 minute walk to the bus station). Would definitely stay here again!

I walked from train station however bus station and markets are around the corner. Bikes available for hire and simple breakfast available. Laundry was I put in when I arrived in afternoon was done and hanging on room door in evening. No complaints

Quand je suis arrivé dans ma chambre, le sol était dégueulasse (miettes, sachets plastiques) + ça sentait la pisse Le strict minimum de nettoyage Les sanitaires sont dégueulasse aussi Que ça soit les douches ou les toilettes, aucun n'est nettoyer Le 2eme toilette est boucher et il y a de la crotte qui remonte En 3 jours cela n'a pas était déboucher Les douches sont immonde, pas d'eau chaude Il y a juste un rideau qui sépare la vue du couloir a votre chambre et une pauvre moustiquaire, on entend donc absolument tout

The place is clean and with nice common areas. The room was a bit dark and the windows was directly on the common area so not really bright. But for the price nothing to seriously complain about.

• Juliette (7/5): - Les cloisons étaient très fines mais l'endroit est très calme et apaisant. Il se situe juste à côté de la gare de bus (ça peut être un plus mais à savoir que c'est quand même un peu excentré de la "walking street" pour boire un verre ou aller au restaurant). Il y a quand même un marché de nuit ultra local juste à côté. La possibilité de louer scooters et vélos pour des prix raisonnables est très bien. La dame a une carte de la ville et de la région pour nous montrer ce qu'il y a à faire. Petit déjeuner basique pour 60 baths, c'est simple mais c'est pratique La chambre n'était pas propre : tâches sur le carrelage au sol, cheveux dans le lavabo de la salle de bain et dans la douche, toilettes pas top non plus et objets poussiéreux entre le lit et le mur. Le prix n'est pas très cher et je ne suis donc pas très exigeante mais plus de propreté serait vraiment nécessaire. On sentait les ressorts du lit la nuit.

Si possono noleggiare scooter e bici. La proprietaria è stata molto gentile e ci ha preparato subito la camera quando siamo arrivati al mattino presto dopo una notte in treno. Le camere non sono insonorizzate ma non è un grande problema

• sandra (9/5): Très bonne maison - L'emplacement vraiment pratique car a côté de la station de bus (vraiment top pour toutes les excursions ) et toutes sorte de commerces. Il y a possibilité de louer des vélos et scooter pour se rendre dans le quartier plus touristique à côté du pont (environ 4 km). Les chambres sont propres et les propriétaires bienveillants et accueillants A titre personnel, juste le lit très/trop ferme, mais c'est comme ça en Thailande. Et puis le fait qu'il n'y ait pas d'eau chaude. C'est tout, mais encore une fois ce n'est pas gênant, juste embêtant sur le moment pour les frileuses comme moi, alors qu'il fait chaud dehors

Lit relativement confortable. Ne vous attendez pas à du grand luxe, mais plus dormir chez l'habitant avec ce que leur confort implique, de l'authenticité. Avec les tortues et les chats. La street food à 2 pas et bonne. La possibilité de louer 1 scooter entre 250, 300 bath par jour en fonction du modèle, sans caution, juste une photo du passeport, le permis international est préférable. L'accueil de la part des propriétaire a été très contraire à ce quoi nous nous attendions au vu des anciens avis. Elles étaeins soulées et ne nous adressaot pas un mot.En effet,Nous avons pris le bus de Bangkok et devions arriver à 20h malheureusement celui ci a été retardé et nous sommes finalement arriver à 22h30.J'avais envoyé un message pour les prévenir mais via message elles étaient mécontentes alors que ce n'était pas notre faute !!!
• Martha (10/5): Wonderful stay at Canaan Guesthouse – friendly, helpful host, perfect location near the bus station and night market, an - Joy, the who runs the guesthouse, was incredible. She was so friendly and so eager to help us in every way - from giving us more soap bars to helping plan our day trips around Kanchanaburi. We were staying here at the same time as a man who had been coming to the guesthouse for 20+ years and now comes with his wife and daughter. They were a lovely family and really reflected the welcoming vibe of the guesthouse. Also, the location is perfect - 2 minutes from the bus station and so close to the night market but not too close that you hear the noise! We both really loved it so much we stayed an extra night! Can’t recommend Canaan Guesthouse enough! Can’t think of anything! If you need a luxurious room and bathroom then maybe it’s not the place for you however we were perfectly happy!

• Jeroen (9/5): - Very pleasant stay at Canaan Guesthouse, located very close to the bus station and the night market. We enjoyed breakfast every day for 60 baht and were able to get our laundry done for 35 baht / kg. The hosts are very friendly, speak English well, and try to help when you have questions about nearby attractions and how to get to them. There is a filtered water tap for drinking water, which you'd need to find yourself. Our first showers were cold, because we weren't told about a switch in the room we needed to turn on in order to have hot water. Trash bins (containing toilet paper) haven't been cleaned during our stay, but I'm sure they'd clean it if you specifically ask for it.

• Shingo (10/5): 癒される空間を提供してくれる宿 - カンチャナブリへ来ると毎回ここのCanaanに宿泊します。　今回で4回目の宿泊ですが、通算では30泊程の滞在となります。 街の中にあって、バスターミナルから歩いて数分の場所で日中も夜間もとても静かです。 姉妹2人で経営していますが、とても親切でフレンドリーです。 旅の疲れも取れ、とても和める宿泊場所です。 コスパ的にも優れ、バスステーション近くにコンビニもあり、夕方には屋台の食事も充分楽しめます。　　なぜかオーナーの笑顔と優しさに惹かれてチェックアウト時には少し寂しい思いもします。 以前は日本人も多く宿泊していたのですが、最近はめっきり少なくなりました。そのかわりソロの女性バックパッカーやカップルでの旅行者が多くなったような気がします。 全く問題はありません。

• Viacheslav (6/5): Ужаснулись при звезде, хотелось рано уйти и поздно прийти, что мы и делали пару дней. - Хорошее расположение. 350 метров от автобусной станции. Рядом рынки и магазины. Сняли тут байк за 300 бат и все объездили, можно и велосипед арендовать за 50 бат. На ресепшене утром есть горячая вода в термосе и кофе. Можно набрать питьевую воду. Напомнило бараки, мало света и свежего воздуха. Плохое освещение в номере, грязно, одна розетка. Написано улучшеный номер с кондиционером, но пользоваться им невозможно, он старый, сильно скрипит и гудит, очень грязный внутри и в первую ночь мы начали кашлять, поэтому выключили и не пользовались им. Наверное лучше если вентилятор в номере. Очень плохие синтетические полотенца ими не возможно вытереться. Шумно.

• Oscar (8/5): Canaan Guesthouse is very good value for money with a fantastic location. - Canaan Guesthouse is right behind the Kanchanaburi Bus Terminal. The room was very clean. There were additional services like laundry (35thb/kg) and rental scooters (250thb-300thb/day). The lighting in the room was dimmer than I would have liked.
• TATSUYA (9/5): リーズナブルで居心地よく、共用スペースでのんびりくつろぐことができます。 - オーナーご夫妻にとても丁寧に対応頂きました。 カンチャナブリ駅からは少し遠いですが、バスターミナル・コンビニ・薬局・ナイトマーケットへは徒歩で通えるのでとても便利です。 あと猫ちゃんがかわいかったです！ お部屋か共用スペースに冷蔵庫があると、買ってきた飲み物を冷やしておくことができるので、 そこだけ要改善かもしれないです。

Tiene para rentar moto y desayuno básico a buen precio. Por el precio que pagas está bien, no esperes lujos. Los baños son muy básicos. No hay agua caliente (entiendo que es algo normal en Tailandia). La limpieza era muy básica.

Personnellement j'adore le type de matelas mais ce n'est pas au gout de tout le monde. Très bon petit déjeuner. Location arrangeante. Emplacement pratique pour les transports et la nourriture. Tres joli petit quartier de kanchanaburi. Couloir non cloisonné = présence de moustique. Pareil au toilette et salle de bain commune malheureusement = piqure au fesse la nuit. C'est pas 100% protèger pour des européens si chambres avec espace commun.

We had the new superior room which was very nice. The laundry is cheap, the breakfast is good, and the family who owns the place is so gentle and helpful. Nye rom kommer til og verten er veldig hyggelig. Hun er alltid til stede, noe som sikrer tryggheten til en gjest. Det enkle er ofte det aller beste. intet å bemerke. Bedre enn forventet.
• Karni (7/5): good value for money and for short stays - beds were comfortable enough and room was spacious. they had nice shared spaces. they also offered lots of opportunities for tours and renting bikes / scooters. location was the main driver for booking as close to bus station which we needed every day of our stay. fan in the bathrooms were dated and no hot water but overall manageable. I didn't mind the cold showers BC it was so hot and I've seen worse showers

• Anna (9/5): - Proprio vicinissimo alla stazione dei bus, stanze pulite ed essenziali, belli gli spazi comuni e la gentilezza dei proprietari. Un posto molto tranquillo per potersi spostare per le varie visite
• christine (7/5): - L'authenticité, la situation géographique, pouvoir louer un scooter sur place (velos aussi), et possibilité de faire laver le linge. R.a.s. C est authentique. Et perso ça me convient.
• Ehpardi (8/5): Auberge agréable - A 5minutes a pied de la gare de bus et de la rue commerçante, très pratique. Hostel dans quartier calme, chambre sans fenêtre avec douche et WC. Accueil agréable et emplacement paisible. Chambres sans fenêtres. Pas de coin cuisine.

• Elisa (6/5): Für den Preis ok, würde aber kein zweites Mal buchen - Lage war gut, direkt in der Nähe des Busterminals, 7Eleven und food market sind fußläufig erreichbar. Einen Roller kann man direkt in der Unterkunft mieten. Wir haben zu zweit 9€/Nacht gezahlt, was wirklich sehr günstig ist. Demnach waren die Erwartungen nicht allzu hoch. Dennoch erwarte ich ein gewisses Maß an Sauberkeit. Die Klimaanlage war stark verdreckt und extrem laut. Wir konnten nur mit oropax schlafen. Handtücher rochen muffig und das Laken war schmutzig. Ich hoffe einfach mal, dass es dennoch gewaschen war. Die Matratze war durch, die Federn waren extrem unangenehm. Die Wände würden mal einen neuen Anstrich vertragen. Es gab nur eine Steckdose.
• Paula (10/5): Świetny stosunek jakości do ceny. - Świetna lokalizacja. Tuż przy dworcu autobusowym skąd odjeżdżają autobusy m.in. do Bangkoku i do Wodospadów Erawan. Pokój był czysty, a łóżko wygodne. Klimatyzacja dobrze działa. Właścicielka była bardzo miła, służyła pomocą i udzielała cennych wskazówek. Po wymeldowaniu mogliśmy przechować swoje plecaki przez cały dzień. Serdecznie polecam.
