Surroundings are so peaceful. Easy walk to museum, Green Gables house, graveyard. Easy drive to many other desired locations. Jasmine at front desk was exceptional in greeting us, gave us a reasonable rate for a walk up booking. Left an Anne of Green Gables box of chocolates for us in our room as a token anniversary gift. She even set aside a couple of cookies for us as we were out for dinner and missed the Inn's guest get together that evening. Room was lovely and spotless. Grounds are beautiful. Pool was clean and well maintained. Included breakfast in morning was lovely. Highly recommend.

Companion171475 (10/5): Lovely 2 day stay in Cavendish - Large clean room with buffet breakfast. Close to Cavendish beach and trails. Unfortunately many surrounding amenities were closing for the season. Laundry facility on site.
James (6/5): - We had a room with a “kitchenette, however, I would say not even close. There was a bar fridge, small coffee maker & microwave, with no counter space. There were 2 plates, 2 bowls & 2 cutlery sets ( 2forks, 2 teaspoons & 2 butter knives. No other dishes or utensils, there was no table or chair in the room. There was a barbecue but nothing to barbecue with. There was 1 tiny trash can in the bathroom. I asked at the front desk how it was labeled a kitchenette, I was told kitchenettes have a coffee maker, bar fridge & microwave. I asked if the regular rooms had a coffee maker & bar fridge I was informed they do. The microwave made it a kitchenette.

lindinsing (8/5): Lovely hotel; great location; good amenities; great staff - Lovely traditional hotel based on two houses and several cabins. Staff were friendly, and very helpful. Lots of amenities such as a laundry and a pool. Room was massive and well equipped. Only downside was sound proofing was poor - seems to be par of the course with old properties - so you can hear other guests (bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise). Right next to beach and Anne of Green Gables house (you can enter grounds by walking through hotel hedge and crossing golf course. We took photos of house and visited grounds after hours in the evening, then first through doors at 9am the next day (we toured house alone; such a treat). Generous breakfast buffet with lots of variety (but do not expect home cooked food). It was fine. Would recommend!

Vicki (6/5): - Unfortunately we were very disappointed. This 3 bedroom 2 bathrooms seemed perfect when we booked it, however when we arrived we immediately found the floor to be very very dirty. I actually bought a mop/cleaner/bucket to clean the floor before the 2nd couple arrived, it was that bad. The fridge wasn't cleansed, a sock under the front bench and a sock in the washing machine all lead us to believe that the cottage was not throughly cleaned. There were also shoe prints on the dining room chairs. And a spill under/round the fridge. Although we asked, no paper towel is provided to the cottages. Nor is their laundry detergent. I went out and purchased all of this in addition to the floor cleaning supplies. I have pictures to show how dirty the floor was. For the price, this was very comcernint and disappointing. We were told paper towel was not provided to the cottages. And we had to ask for toilet paper as we were provided only what was on the rolls for our 3 day/night trip. For the amount we paid for this, it was very very disappointing to find the cottage in the shape we did. And with no concern from the front desk person.
18jlg (8/5): Nice spot in Cavendish - Even though Kindred Spirits seemed quite full, they seemed to have scaled back some of their summer offerings. For example, some days daily treats were offered at 2 PM, when most people were out exploring, or ran out after an hour or so. On the plus side, the room was exactly as pictured, the setting and location were great, the staff was friendly, the breakfasts were yummy. Note, room air conditioners were loud.
Wardy48 (10/5): Great holiday in Cavendish. - Once again what a wonderful time we had at Kindred Spirits. It is our favorite place to stay on PEI. The staff are wonderful, very helpful. The breakfast supplied is so wonderful and it is great to meet people from all over . The beds are very comfortable, the room is always neat and tidy and provides a very peaceful sleep. The amenities (swimming pool, hot tub, play areas for children and adults) are first class. It is very central to be able to do day trips to any place on the island.

Very good location for all the things you want to do in the area. Everyone was very helpful in giving you ideas of what to do or where to go. Very friendly and willing to take the time to chat with you. We had a room in the Inn, I believe the smallest room but that is all we needed as we were gone all day. Was very clean and well kept. Breakfast was also very good just what we needed to start our day. The blueberry jam and blueberry waffle topping not to be missed. As well as the homemade bisquits and muffins. 43AnnaC43 (10/5): Would 100% Stay Here Again. - I kept sitting out on the lawn thinking, I want to come back here, and I want to bring many more people! This was such a lovely place to stay for 5 days as we explored everything around PEI. Cavendish itself can feel very touristy, but this Inn is tucked away off the main road and it gives you a real sense of calm. It's also basically next door to the main LM Montgomery/Anne museum, and we were able to take an evening walk on Lovers Lane by just popping out our door and walking across the golf course. I'd definitely stay here again. Hosts were super helpful. Only wish the hot tub had been working when we were there! They were waiting on a part, so I assume it's usually in service. Additionally, the playground and field area is large and such a good fit if you have kids. Plenty of space for them to run around and be loud without irritating other guests.
Kevin (10/5): A Beautiful Stay in Cavendish - This was a very nice stay on a long awaited return to PEI. Our room was very comfortable, the included breakfast was very good and the ground very nice. We were walking distance to many restaurants as well. Being right in Cavendish was nice as well.
JCProvRI (10/5): An Inn that Lives Up to Its Name! - We were touring PEI by bicycle with another couple and stayed here for two nights. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The location was like a hidden oasis, yet close to restaurants and the places we wanted to visit. I highly recommend it when planning a visit to Cavendish.

Close to everything in Cavendish, yet it was quiet and away from noisy traffic. The owners are wonderful, reliable, and easy going in nature. Definitely would recommend Kindred Spirits. 10/10!

Journey55375171763 (10/5): Dream come true - I cannot recommend this property enough for your stay on PEI. I booked my room almost a year in advance planning for this trip (Big Anne fans over here!) A week out from the booking, I was going over the itinerary and needed to make a change due to a mistake on my part. I called to make that change (which they were willing to accommodate), only to find out our family of 4 couldn’t stay in the inn as we had planned (max capacity of 3). I sadly had to cancel the reservation. As I began researching other options, I thought. “I’ll email them about being on a cancellation list” as they were booked. Within 10 mins of sending that email, I received a response that although the cottages were full, they had a luxury apartment available during our time, and sent photos. I immediately accepted, as Charlottetown was a bit too far, and our reason for coming was Anne of Green Gables. The other surrounding properties didn’t seem up to our standards. Let me say- the apartment was top notch! Newly renovated, you are over the garage where they do bike rentals etc. There was a bit of noise during the day, but we weren’t there much and it wasn’t bothersome when we were. Quiet at night. We overlooked the courtyard and the inn! We enjoyed the secret path to Green Gables, and it’s right on the golf course. It’s a short bike ride to Oceanside trails and the beach as well which we thoroughly enjoyed. Pool/hot tub was nice. Weather disrupted the next leg of our journey, and the wonderful staff at Kindred Spirits came through again, and extended our stay an additional 3 nights! So were able to avoid the bad weather except for our last day. Just an absolutely awesome place, with awesome people….and just by driving around, seems to be better kept than other options. You cannot choose better than the Kindred Spirits Inn!!
QakaoBear (10/5): Kindred Spirits All The Way - Everyone was super kind, friendly, supportive, and helpful. The staff was great about providing recommendations on where to go, what to do, where to eat. They were also very interested in hearing about my experiences when I returned. This made me feel like I was part of a community. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options. Don't miss the bread pudding or berry scones. The Inn is very quiet and comfortable. In addition to sightseeing out and about, I enjoyed sitting on the porch and reading. The pool was very refreshing too. Be sure to rent a bike for a fun day of cycling!

It is less spacious than other places where we stayed, but it makes up for it in personality, charm, and location. It has books and DVDs available for loan, a lovely breakfast room with helpful staff, storage for bikes, laundry, and it’s walkable to Green Gables! I would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect to explore the North Shore and everything Anne of Green Gables. When we arrived, we were transported back in time and really felt the history of the area and experienced the beauty of the surrounding beaches and forests. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to assist with whatever we needed. The breakfast was tasty and something to look forward to each morning. Highly recommended!

The whole grounds are clean and well cared for. We had breakfast daily which was excellent. The staff are very friendly and also kind. We would most definately stay here again and we loved our time in PEI. It is also a great location for the sites you would like to see.

The Deluxe cottage had beds for 9 so we could spread out more. The beds were comfortable. We were there one day of a heat wave (the rest of the days were cool) and the air conditioner didn't quite cool one of the bedrooms. The fans helped though. The rest of the week it was great. We used the kitchen, the TV, and the hot tub. The towel exchange was easy and the staff was great to work with. it was clean, comfortable, quiet, and a beautiful cottage in a beautiful area. We will come back!!!

Our cottage was very clean, well maintained, stocked nicely and the beds were very comfortable. We had an issue with getting the outdoor grill started so, we went to the office to ask for help and their maintenance man was at our cottage before we could even walk back and had it up and going in no time. We definitely hope to get back there again sometime.

Destination225610 (10/5): Fantastic location and great comfort. - Absolutely perfect location for AOGG fans. Is enough off the road to be a little resort all unto itself, while also being close to the sites and amenities. The spacious central lawn with playground was great for our little ones to play and run around while the adults relaxed. The only caveat I can think of is each cottage's sole AC unit is located away from the bedrooms, and the cottages will get very warm in the summer, but running the unit all day will keep the cottage cool and make it sleepable.

Dana and the Team at Kindred provide us with an exceptional experience…full home cooked breakfast each morning, evening cookies delivered to our cottages, and clean, modern accommodations. We love the hot tubs, BBQ’s, and we’re 5-10 minutes from 4 of the top golf courses in PEI. Already booked for next year! Keep up the great job Kindred Team!

While unable to remedy the cable issue, we were provided a cottage upgrade (at no additional cost). The upgrade was provided at the Managers self gesture. The entire guest staff was A+ from initial check-in throughout. We will certainly book Kindred Spirits in the future on PEI. Truly, hospitality is the priority!

Experience staying there made me feel a part of the Montgomery experience! Breakfast included and delicious. We had some rain but if it hadn’t they would have set up an outdoor campfire for us. Very hospitable. Loved our stay! Peaceful and quiet.

We had a lovely room in the inn; it was large, clean, and very comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfast in the morning and the tea and cookies at night. The staff was great and gave us great directions (a map!) for how to walk by the Lake of Shining Waters on the way to Cavendish Beach.

902glendah (10/5): A Lovely Visit - We spent the weekend at Kindred Spirits Inn in order to see The Jersey Boys at Confederation Center. We stayed in a cottage. The front desk staff were wonderful both at check in and check out. We felt welcome and they offered good information about what was still open in the area. The cottages are not new, but they are in great shape and were spotless. Everything you require to cook and eat is provided, even to coffee and tea packets. The grill on the deck was also very clean. The bed was comfortable and the linens were fresh and good quality. An extra pillow and blanket were provided in the closet. There is an outdoor pool, a hot tub and a fenced play area on the grounds. You can walk to Anne of Green Gables and the beach from this location. On our return from the concert, there was a box of homemade cookies on our porch to thank us for choosing them. A nice touch! When we return to PEI, we will definitely choose this establishment again. We could not have asked for more. Thank you for your attention to detail.

I loved sitting on the big porch with a fresh cup of coffee each morning and watching the sunrise. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and when we opened the door to our room, we found a beautiful note, a bottle of sparkling cider and a bag of assorted chocolates. It was the best place we could have stayed to celebrate our years together and Kindred Spirits Inn will hold a special place in our hearts!

Sherpa34384356591 (10/5): Loved our stay ! ❤️ - We came upon Kindred Spirits just as we were driving by. We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom cottages. It was Perfect ! The staff that helped us was Kelly, she was very accommodating, super helpful and friendly to chat with. The complex is very well maintained and our little "home" was perfect for 3 days! Beds comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. The only thing I'd suggest is possibly have the hot tub hours extended by a couple hours (8 pm little early ) so we could enjoy before going to bed. The pool was lovely as well ! Also possibly offer some beach chairs, rental or whatever. Otherwise all was perfect and will certainly recommend!! If we ever return will certainly consider staying again ! Also love the name ! PS..the little treat of cookies at the end was a nice touch as well
