- Lori (6/5): Just OK - It's located in a beautiful area & the room was clean. The beds were VERY firm, if that's what you're in to, it'll be great but we found them uncomfortable. We stayed 2 nights & the room wasn't cleaned or restocked after the 1st night which wasn't great, we'd gotten take out for dinner & the trash can needed to be emptied. We're coffee drinkers & had to request for coffee to be restocked for the 2nd morning, it was left in a bag outside our door at some point after we went to bed. Becky was nice but overall the stay was mediocre. Not having the room serviced for the 2nd days needs was pretty disappointing.
- Dan (7/5): Location was good and restaurant down the road was very good - Beautiful location, accommodations met the group of people we had. Grounds were tight, not much room for a vehicle or walking and thus giving us the feeling we really weren't able to leave the room.

- Tim (10/5): Great place to get ready for exploring Big South Fork NRA - Great location and very clean. Overall, very nice.
- Susan (10/5): The lodge was cozy. The people were great. It is remote and in nature, but that is what I liked. - I like that it was close to trails and nature. I miss having a free breakfast like other hotels.
- Mark (8/5): - Quiet authentic
- Mindi (10/5): - Great stay !
- Jessica (10/5): This is a nice, clean place. - Clean room, friendly people
- Craig (10/5): Very nice place and great staff! - The room is clean and very nice. The staff has been wonderful. We were in town for a wedding so a lot of time to kill and they were more then accommodating with our times. Highly recommend.
- CATHY (10/5): - Everything about it
- Holly (10/5): A little summary of our adventure, we stayed at this hotel. We got up early with horseback riding. Becky made accommodat - Love the property that it was kind of in the middle of the mountain. Beautiful rooms were excellent. The bed was godly comfortable great staff. Becky was absolutely wonderful. Very safe. Very very recommended. I was looking for a place in the mountains. That was a little isolated and this was a campground and we stayed in room number three and there was absolutely nothing. I did not like about it. I loved everything.
- Amanda (10/5): Will stay again! - Wonderful southern hospitality, beautiful nature surrounding. Family friendly. Safe & comfortable. Beautiful interior.
- Ron (10/5): - Beautiful location
- Jayne (10/5): - Big South Fork Lodge is a real gem! The
Host (Becky) was extremely pleasant and welcoming! We had a room with two (2) queen beds. The room was large and very clean. The bathroom sported soft, large & fluffy towels. The water pressure in the shower was terrific! The bed was very comfortable (best night’s sleep)! On a side note-the Expedia write up indicates there is a restaurant on site - this is INCORRECT. There is a local eatery within a 15 minute drive (Beaty’s), nothing fancy, but very tasty food!
- Nancy (10/5): - Check in was easy, room was very clean, water pressure was awesome, bed was comfortable. The lighting in the room seemed a little dim.
- Christopher (9/5): -
- Jacqueline (10/5): It was like stepping back into the 1960's. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We will be back! - The room was so clean! And is was very comfortable and cute! Miss Becky was very knowledgable on the area! nothing

- Jeffry (10/5): - It was right next to the main event, Big South Fork and close to Pickett CCC State Park. We werent there with hirses but chikd met a couple who entertained her for a vit. Very friendly people there
- Vasiliy (8/5): - The Lodge is very good. Becky (host) is outstanding. Good location within Big South Fork. Recommend to stay. You won't be disappointed. Continuous improvements opportunities noted below DID NOT impact our stay
From continuous improvement perspective, the one observation is that the trash can outside the cabin needed to be emptied. Also, make sure to let Becky know if you need shampoo/conditioner ahead of time. For hygienic reasons, those items are given upon request.

- Joanne (10/5): - Staff was nice and friendly. Beautiful place
- Robin (10/5): A great new place that I will return to! - This was a new spot for my dad and I to stay for the 127 yard sale. It was a little off the beaten path, but Becky was wonderful, and the room was really clean, quaint, and showed she cared about her place. And the shower was amazing with it's great water pressure and hot temps to wash away the grime after a day in the heat and humidity. nothing....this exceeded my expections by far!
- Kathy (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely the cleanest room we have ever stayed in. Becky was very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay again. A little off the beaten path, but worth it.

Flexible about check in time. Can park right in front of room. Nice place to sleep and shower, very quiet, but not near any restaurants or attractions. Bring your own food. Very curvy road to get there. Not deal breakers, just be advised.

- Jacqui (10/5): A wonderful place for a relaxing getaway - The lodge is wonderful place for a getaway. We had a wonderful time exploring the area. The host was so friendly and welcoming she was very helpful Nothing
- Angela (10/5): - What a wonderful night stay I had here! The room was super clean and Becky was so kind and welcoming!! I wish I was staying longer than 1 night ! I ended up running behind schedule on my travels and she so graciously let me check in late. If I’m ever traveling down through this area again, I will definitely stay here!! Thank you Becky for a wonderful nights stay!!
- Michelle (10/5): - Great place. Cleanest place I have ever stayed at.
- Celeste (10/5): Surprisingly comfortable and peaceful stay right outside of Big South Fork Park! - The lodge sits on a beautiful large acreage, and it was right next to several Big South Fork park trails/entrances for either horseback riding or hiking. My fur baby loved sitting on the front porch and greeting guests, as well as running through the nearby trails. Becky and Billy went over the top to make sure we had everything we needed and were well taken care of. Everything was great, right down to the coffee in the room. For my situation in particular, it was a little further to my destination than I thought, everything in that area is quite spread out, but it was such a nice and easy stay, it didn't bother me. No complaints!
- Ashley (10/5): - What a gem! The rooms are much larger than expected, the tub was very deep, the sour conditioning worked well. It was serene and extremely clean. They were very generous with soaps, towels, coffee, etc. I would definitely rebook.
- Monica (8/5): Very good -
- Candi (10/5): Clean and Safe - Great little place! I stayed to be close to a hiking site. It was perfect and safe for a solo traveler.
- Kim (10/5): - I have never stayed a lodge before, this was my first experience and they knocked it out of the park! Very nice rooms, very spacious, clean, if I could’ve stayed longer I would have for sure, the atmosphere was also inviting and serene to take in the wilderness from the rocking chairs on the porch. Staff is very friendly and helpful
- Rajabali (10/5): - The place was very clean. The service and staff were good and friendly. It is a safe and reliable place around the area.
- James (8/5): - Nice small hotel in the country! Staff very friendly! Accommodations not fancy but adequate and the beds were real comfy!!
- Christopher (7/5): All in all, it was a great stay, except for the upstairs guests stomping around at 4 AM on Easter Sunday - Loved everything from the room size , to it's proximity to hiking and day trip areas Lack of stores nearby, and no close by restaurants.
- Steve (8/5): Very good -
- Takethepath (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, kind owner, clean rooms, nice firm beds, hot strong shower with a tub, TV with subscriptions. I definitely will be returning.
- Miranda (6/5): It was okay, just dirty!! - Location. Not too far from where we went. Didn't know anything about a heater until we all woke up freezing. Comfortable when we arrived so thought it was thermostat set and would be fine until we woke up and granddaughter said she had trouble sleeping because of the thing next to her bed, which we now know was the heater, kept her awake.
The kids were running around and playing and we noticed their feet were so black and nasty from the floors. You couldn't see the dirt but they were disgusting!!
- Shawn (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Exceptional - We were on a 3-day road trip looking for Fall foliage. We chose the Big South Fork Lodge because it was at the end of our second leg of driving coming from Bryson City North carolina. This was an excellent location for our foliage Drive into tennessee. We have a horse and we have been horse camping before. We did not have our horse on this trip, instead we have our two dogs, and this is NOT anything like horse camping. This is a very nice Lodge for any reason. I would love to stay here if we had a horse with us. The stables are just behind the lodge. The room was large, which is great when you have two dogs. My wife went on and on about how clean the room was and the details that the host thinks about for a better stay. The price is very reasonable. There wasn't anything about our stay that we didn't like.
- Wiseman (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (10/5): We were traveling with our elderly mother to a family reunion. The room was large and easy to move the wheelchair around -
- Aa (9/5): Superb -

- Ricky (10/5): - Becky was wonderful to deal with. Highly recommend staying here!
- Karla (10/5): Beautiful stay off the beaten path. - Easy to access, clean, lots of space. Beautiful drive to property.
- Sherryl (10/5): - The area is very scenic. I enjoyed how quiet it was.
- Carolynn (8/5): - Really liked the room we had. 3 queen beds and picnic table was an awesome idea. Bathroom was very nice. That being said I think the one queen bed is too close to air conditioner. It was pretty warm even with it down low. When u have 5 or 6 people a few more mirrors and plugs are needed. But all and all was very good
- David (10/5): - Beautiful scenery driving to the cabin. Property and cabin was very clean. Staff and service was excellent.
- Mary (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again
- Adrienne (10/5): - This was a gorgeous place to stay that was warm welcoming. It was peaceful, quiet, and affordable. I'd absolutely go back and would refer to others.
- Karen (8/5): We would go back. Keep in mind it's remote, so if you need anything, get it before your stay. - No breakfast, but we didn't see it included and we were fine. I have no complaints. I enjoyed it. Bed and bathtub were considerably better than the other nice hotels we had stayed in on our trip.
- Paul (10/5): - The location, rooms, and customer service are all good reasons for choosing this property.
Location: As the name suggests, the property is conveniently close to the excellent hiking in the Big South Fork area.
Rooms: Despite the simple, rustic appearance of the exterior, the rooms are modern and clean, and the checkout process is more streamlined than the one found at a lot of large chain hotels.
Service: The owner is especially personable and helpful. She provided information about the area and even let me borrow one of her books of trails.
I will likely stay here again on my next trip to the area.
- Elisabet (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): Outstanding Experience - The accommodations were immaculate, comfortable, and quiet. I would definitely stay here again if I visit this area again.

- Cyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rong (10/5): - The room is large and very clean.
- John (10/5): - Very quiet and peaceful area. Will come here again.
- Dawn (10/5): - It was clean as a pin.
- Susie (10/5): - A friend was camping in Pickett State Park. All cabins we're booked & this was closest place with vacancies. What a hidden gem! Updated, clean, great water pressure.
There aren't many places to eat, so pack accordingly. Thank you Becky for a peaceful stay.
