No facial tissues supplied. Heat lamps in the bathroom not working. Bedroom chair material covered in stains. Dirty marks on bedroom wall.

• James (4/5): - CBD Apartments Launceston. I don’t normally write bad reviews, but when some place boasts 4.5/5 and it doesn’t come close, I had to warn others. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The advertising both written and photographic overstates what is provided. The only positive was the hot water. There was no coffee table just a big empty space. No alarm clock or iPod dock. The check-in email mentioned a compendium with maps, etc, there was none. There was a remote and manual for a stand alone heater for the bedroom, no heater though which means it was freezing at night. They highlighted soundproof windows but you could hear a mouse fart in the room next door. The front door also rattled in the wind, we had to shove cardboard in it to stop it. You are only sent info on the car park on check in. Our hire car would not fit without risking damage. The worst part was hygiene. There were dirty cups in the cupboard, and dirt on the desk. The washing machine smelt strongly of mould and saving the worst for last which was the sofa bed. The photos speak for themselves. We had to buy a cover just to sit down. The stains were revolting. We tried to contact management the day after check in. The phone is rarely answered and does not accept messages. The email address provided returns a bounce back as it is full. Even the virtual messaging doesn’t work so you couldn’t cancel or request a refund.

• Zyg (5/5): Generally a good ,central,well priced apartment in Launceston CBD.-the check in process needs revision!! - This property is very central,and well placed for touring Launceston and surrounds It is a spacious apartment,providing well for the traveller. The check in process was poor. At time of check in—2 pm,we awaited a code for entry into the apartment-no contact was made with us !! We made every effort to contact the manager,no access!! Email was sent,phone calls to the mobile no -no response. It took 1.5 hrs to continue making unanswered phone calls to finally reach a living person who eventually gave us a check in code. This is poor management!!
• Jo (1/5): Worst experience - Location The bedding was not clean for the sofa bed was marked and stained. The kitchen utensils were not clean, there were dirty hand prints marks on wall adjacent to bathroom, the air conditioner heater was filthy with dirty water drip marks on heater. We emailed and phoned owners or apartment managers to advise and received no response.
• Liane (8/5): - Liked the big bedroom and lounge room. Lounge not very comfortable but had mostly everything you needed in kitchen. A bigger pot and more than one would be more useful though. Bathroom great, big shower head. Launceston in May minimum 6C need more than a light weight doona on bed. Should have been blanket in cupboard and there wasn’t. First night cold had to wear clothes to bed and leave heating on all night the second.

Started from absolutely wonderful Freindly host Alex who accomodate my last minute request to check in earlier to a very pleasant stay in Launceston . Central cbd location with Free on site ( right at your door ) parking , modern freshly renovated bathroom , kitchen , bedroom! Comfortable bed , warm unit wirh basically everything you need for your stay ! I highly recommend to stay here !

• Russell (5/5): Location was great but other components of accommodation need attention. - Location was great, price was ok for the location. There were not enough towels for each guest. Requested more but took so long to arrive we had to share towels before heading out for dinner. There were no tea towels for washing up or any hand towels. No paper towels for the kitchen. No guest tissues. One of the sofa bed mattresses was terrible, not even sure if it was supposed to be a mattress. Had to remove it and sleep on the base. Also, hair was still left on vanity bench in front of mirror in bedroom so didn't feel properly cleaned.

• Paul (6/5): - The property itself was excellent. However, I arrived late around 7:30pm and I rang the number provided to gain access (no front desk onsite) but there was no answer. I sent multiple SMS and called again several times until I realized I had to find another place to stay, because I couldn’t get in to the property. So I had to pay twice for one night! I had already paid Lastminute in full for 2 nights. The following day I managed to contact the property manager and explained what had happened. Although they were sympathetic they did not offer a credit even though I had prepaid. This is very poor customer service and could have been avoided if the property manager has called me on the day of my arrival and asked when I planned to arrive. This is typical when a property doesn’t have a front desk.

It was great having a seperate bedroom closed off from rest of apartment. Unfortunately Parking was a little complicated. My Toyota Prado didn’t fit in garage and I ended up working out a plan with residents in unit1.
