Guest Reviews
- Kenneth (8/5): - very nice staff, very wqrm and helpful.
all meals in mandatory meal plan, so that is limiting but food good overall. This is a lodge-only experience (no other restaurants etc nearby), but lots of outfdoor things to do
- Ingrid (8/5): - I enjoyed my stay at Boathouse Nanuya. The staff members are all very friendly, accommodating, and made my stay very comfortable. The welcome song and Isa Lei farewell song from the staff were also such a nice and personal touch. My one complaint is that the owner of the resort made me very uncomfortable from the moment I arrived, as he treated me like nothing but dollar signs. Although I was one of the only guests at the resort during my stay, he never bothered to introduce himself or learn my name. Yet each time I saw him, he was so pushy for me to spend my money. One morning, I wasn't even finished with my breakfast when he came over asking me what kind of pizza I wanted for lunch. When I told him I wasn't sure if I would be having lunch at the resort (as I planned to explore the island that day), he was very clearly annoyed as he just grunted and walked away without another word. Another time he did this same thing was when I returned from seeing the Sawa-i-Lau Caves with some friends I met. He very abruptly approached me and asked why I went to the caves with them instead of with the resort. When I told him it was because the resort was going to charge me for 2 people to take me to the caves (as they have a 2-person minimum for this excursion), he once again said nothing, grunted, and just rolled off in his golf cart. I felt obliged to leave this review so that other travelers have a heads up of the way this owner clearly has no problem treating his guests.
- Urszula (10/5): Super miejsce z bardzo przyjaznym personelem - Cudowne miejsce, wspaniały i pomocny personel. Bezpłatne kajaki i deska do pływania.
- Ash (6/5): - The room could use updates, i understand it is a new part of the resort but i felt like i was staying in a budget in for the price paid. We stayed for 5 nights and had our bath towels changed out two times and thats because i had to ask twice. The construction next to our window went on late at the night and early the next morning. There was also an occasional bulldozer going through the resort and onto the beach shoveling up dirt which made my snorkeling experience pretty bad when i looked up and saw a huge machine tossing mountains of sand around.
Overall i met great people and the staff truly treat you like family which made a lasting impression on my family and made us feel comfortable. The food was outstanding! The weather was humid, warm and beautiful even when it rained. King Arthur, Mimi and Nikki gave us a reason to go out everyday for a welcoming smile and great conversation. Truly beautiful people here!
