- Mary (10/5): - Driftwood is like a home to us and we continue visiting Driftwood. We love it. Continental breakfast and Full English Breakfast is provided with plenty of tea, coffee and juices. Dining is excellent and the car park is always full of visitors dining at their restaurant. The room were clean, Staff always obliging ie. Richard, Paul, & Eunice however busy they are. The owner has chosen the right calibre of people, who are hard working, cheerful, nothing is too much for them Although, the owner, is away ill, Driftwood is managed very well. A happy recovery. Well done Jamie for all your hard work. Richard is standing in for Jamie and it's amazing how much hands on is being managed by Richard. Well done Richard. Thank you Driftwood Team for all your hard work and effort in making our stay most enjoyable, homley and utterly pleasant. We would not hesitate in recommending Driftwood. Parking is ample, staff extremely pleasant and location is unbelievable. The staff take a personal interest in helping at Driftwood.

Very helpful and accommodating our room was clean but tired the bathroom was very old fashioned and the mirror light was not working and the light in the ceiling was very old fashioned

Sea view location is perfect & met many nice people during our stay! Bus routes outside hotel if you don’t rent or bring your car.

- Carol (8/5): Great stay at the Driftwood Inn - A one week stay. Breakfast was excellent and the menu choices for dinner were very good and exceptional value for money. Staff were very accommodating in the Bistro and reception and went out of their way to look after us. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were given a tour of the facilities. The owner very kindly allowed us to swap rooms for a sea view for part of our stay, as these were full when we originally booked. The location is good and it’s very easy to tour the island with a bus stop outside. There is a convenient Morrisons next door selling sandwiches etc for packed lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Driftwood Inn and would recommend it to others.

The breakfast and evening dining both offered a nice choice of menu. I enjoyed my meals very much indeed. All the staff were friendly and attentive to guests needs. I would stay here again.

The hotel is a little remote for access to major sights, but as the island is small and the bus service is so reliable and cheap, this was easily remedied. All the staff were friendly and very helpful and the food and overall service were exceptional. We would definitely stay again.

- Adrian (10/5): - Lovely hotel in a lovely location. Staff were all excellent and extremely helpful, rooms very comfortable and well furnished, we also had a beautiful sea view. Breakfast and Bistro/Bar food very nice. Only negative was the shower which had very poor pressure, and the bathroom itself didn't meet the quality of the rest of the hotel, but I would imagine they are due a makeover as every other area has had. But didn't change our overall positive view and would definitely stay again if visiting Guernsey.

Although the TV channels in the room was limited there was a large TV in the bar showing live football when on. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much for them. All staff, however busy were always willing to help, starting from Jamie - the owner, who set an excellent example to his team. Richard too made sure all visitors were looked after. Thank you Jamie and Richard. The bar staff (Paul, Eunice) however busy always obliged too even if they did not have any involved with the rooms. Thank you. We will be back again. There is a very good bus service but to get anywhere you have to take the bus round the Island. Probably better with a car. But its all still possible without

- K (6/5): Could do a lot better - We booked this hotel/inn as a short break before heading elsewhere on Guernsey. The room initially seemed great - a lovely balcony overlooking the sea, nice decor and toasty. However, despite turning the radiator down to zero, it still pumped out heat - this was stifling through the night - not good. There's only one plug socket by the 'desk' - this meant you had to choose between watching the TV, boiling the kettle or using the coffee machine. No hand soap for the sink in the bathroom nor hand towels. Apparently this was an oversight by the cleaning staff. We were disappointed to learn that the kitchen was shut on a Monday - after breakfast so there was no satisfactory option for us to eat later. This was posted on their website, but not on Hotels.com, which we'd used to make our booking. The owner was most amenable and allowed us/and refunded us our second night, so we went somewhere else. The breakfast was great, but when we ate in the restaurant, we ordered a pizza - according to the big sign outside, handmade pizza to order - the pizza we were served was overcooked and looked like it was from Iceland - suitably unimpressed... I appreciate it's the start of the summer season but that's not really an excuse for poor attention to detail and lack of preparation...

- Paula (10/5): - A family run hotel full of homely touches. The decor around every area has been carefully coordinated to a theme, giving an overall impression of somewhere calm and peaceful to stay. Our room had a sea view, adding to the relaxing effect. We also had an additional sitting room, giving us plenty of space. Some rooms have a balcony, which would be great for watching the changing tides on a summers day. On the ground floor there is is a pub, that serves a good range of food, and a bistro/restaurant with even more choice. The portions of the meals we had were good value for money. Breakfast was included in our room price and we chose full English each morning, which set us up each day for exploring the island. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean.
- Louise (10/5): - What can I say about this place. Nothing was too much bother. I am dairy free and contacted them prior to my arrival and they provided me with dairy free alternatives. The staff were ever so friendly and welcoming. Even as we went to leave at 7am on the final morning they offered us a take away coffee etc. room was perfect size with a great view. We will definitely be back again. Thank you for making our stay so great!

The Driftwood provided a sea view and a base from which to travel to discover the rest of the island. All in all our most relaxing and enjoyable break for some time.

- Tom (8/5): - The hotel is in a very quiet part of the island. So it’s perfect for beach walking and relaxing. The pub and restaurant are great. Staff is awesome as is the food. Getting a taxi can be a challenge at certain times of the day so it is best to book ahead of time if you know your plans. Overall a very welcoming place.

When we discovered we hadn’t got the room type requested on booking, he was so helpful in arranging for us to move to a better room which exceeded our needs. The staff in the bistro were nice too. A lovely touch to be given a birthday card from all the staff. Location is fantastic with great sea & sunset views. Plenty of parking. Jazz with dinner on Friday was good and it finished early so as not to disturb people’s sleep. Shame about the TV volume from room next door instead! The food in the bistro was good with enough choice for the four nights we were there. There is unfortunately a downside to this happy tale. The bathrooms are in need of an update. Rather old fashioned and tired decor with no air extraction. The old yellowing shower head was spraying out at all angles plus for us older creaky folk climbing into the bath round the shower door was a bit of a challenge.

The room was clean and tidy, and clean towels provided daily during our stay. The pub food on site is really good and varied menu.

The staff were friendly and super helpful, it was a great location, the rooms were always kept clean, and the breakfast was really tasty. (And for a really reasonable rate as well!) We can highly recommend the food in both the bistro and bar. The facilities are good, and we enjoyed the sea views from our room. A car would be recommended for touring the island easily. However, buses stop right outside the hotel for easy access to Saint Peter Port on a circular route around the island, or via a shorter, more direct route.

The owner even took the effort to serve cheese for breakfast because he knew that Dutch people like cheese 🧀 for breakfast. If you needto book an accommodation on Guernsey, this is the place to be!!!

The room had a beautiful sea view, and you can take a scenic bus to St Peter Port just outside the hotel. We would stay at the Driftwood Inn again if we return to Guernsey, and have recommended it to others already.

- Ruth (10/5): - A really lovely place to stay with a beautiful ocean view. The entire experience of the Bailiwick was enhanced by the lovely staff who endeavoured to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I never remember to leave reviews, but definitely had to for Driftwood Inn. So glad we chose to stay here!

- Stephen (10/5): - The property was by the sea with a large car park. Our room was overlooking the car park and into the sea. Apart from a few hours on the Monday day morning with rain, it was fine weather. We had days of beautiful sunsets into the sea, something we had never experienced with our travel over the years. Our room was spacious albeit with a simple ensuite bathroom. It was great to have two armchairs by the windows where I sat every evening watching the sun goes down. Staff at the hotel were friendly. Breakfast was standard and on the days we eat-in, the evening meals were tasty and plentiful. The hotel itself was very much a local watering hole and eatery hence plenty of clienteles. It was certainly a place to relax and enjoy the sceneries. Overall, thoroughly recommended.

Petit-déjeuner copieux et varié.Possibilité de dîner au restaurant ou au bar avec des plats qualitatifs. Séjour de 6 jours très agréable à tous points de vue.

- Manuela (6/5): You get what you pay for - You get what you pay for - trifft auf dieses Hotel sehr zu. Für 3 Nächte war es für uns jetzt ok, aber wenn man einen leichten Schlaf hat oder lärmempfindlich ist, würde ich es nicht empfehlen. Man hört alles von den Nachbarzimmern - der Nachbar der bis 1.30 Uhr fern gesehen hat, wenn er den Stecker eingesteckt hat, das Schnarchen oder auch wenn der Nachbar die Türe auf oder zugeschlossen hat. Das gute war das Personal, es waren alle sehr freundlich. Auch das Essen war gut, sei es im Pub oder das Frühstück im Bistro.

- BillandCath (10/5): Lovely setting with friendly staff - We were very pleased with the hotel. Our room was sea facing and very clean. The breakfasts were good with a wide choice of cooked items. We had dinner on one evening and it was very good. The staff were cheery and helpful and we look forward to visiting there again, The only complaint is that although there was a bath the shower was very poor - hardly any flow.
- Peter (10/5): Work trip to Guernsey - Really pleased with this stay. Food was excellent and freshly prepared, nothing was too much bother either, great from start to finish and the view from bedroom number 8 (bang in the middle of the hotel) was amazing...
- Verified traveler (6/5): Schönes Hotel mit Meerblick - Kleines Hotel mit sehr nettem Service Team und gutem Frühstück und Essen. Zwischen Hotel und Strand (nur Steine) liegt eine recht viel befahrene Straße was aber eigentlich nicht stört, denn am Abend fahren hier kaum noch Autos und es ist sehr ruhig. Den Sonnenuntergang in der Lounge Ecke genießen ist genial. Die Zimmer sind einfach, sehr sauber und mit Teppichboden. Je nach Zimmernachbar hört man diese leider auch. Alles in allem ein empfehlenswertes Hotel wenn man es lediglich für Übernachtung und Frühstück nutzt. Guernsey selbst ist eine phantastische Insel und jede weite Anreise wert :-)
