Guest Reviews
- Lewis (10/5): ideal place to stay - Very good stay, very clean, check in details could be clearer
- Lewis (10/5): Comfy, Clean, Ideal - Check-in instructions could be made much clearer, but that aside, the rooms are very comfortable, showers excellent and the communal rooms a good size.
- Lewis (10/5): Very good value - Great stay, great setup. Check in details could be clearer
- David (8/5): Perfectly adequate - The property suited my purposes for my stay in the Farnham area.
- Raymond (2/5): - I cannot recommend this property for the following feasons:
Room was stiflingly hot
No bedside lights
No aircon
No after hours contact
Staircarpet needed a deep clean
Very noisey - wooden floors throughout
Poor security - sliding window fully open or closed and front door not locked
Loose WC seat
Only one overhead light working - not enough to enable reading in bed
Had to get out of bed to turn off lights
No lights in downstairs kitchenette
Heavy duvet not suitable for room without aircon
NO HUMAN CONTACT at this place after hours; the hotline only recorded a message on which there was no one prepared to act
A nightmare to arrive at this place after dark. There is no Reception and we only found our contorted way to the room by chance.
The very small TV sited to far away from the bed, consequently one could not read subtitles nor listen without the volume turned up high.
I hate to be so negative but this place needs sorting out in a big way. It is also a triumph of design over practicality
I could go on! There would have to be many changes were we to consider staying there again. Quite the worst experience we've had in many years of travelling
- Narinder (8/5): Lovely location - A lovely location.quiet and a great surprise to see some peacocks on the mews land.
The communal areas were spacious and well stocked with essentials, which were perfect for breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property was exactly as described, beautiful location, clean tidy, easy check in and out staff are very friendly and yes the peacocks wake you up very early.
- Carol (8/5): - Lovely apartment- slightly better check in instructions would have been helpful
- Jon (10/5): - Was not aware that there was a communal kitchen/lounge within the cottage but that was a bonus for me. It gave us a nice place to hang out for the evening and play cards and drink beer! fortunately there was none in the downstairs room that exits right off the lounge/kitchen as i imagine having people outside of your door watching TV could be annoying. if there was a group of friends booking up a cottage this would be spot on.
The beds and pillows were very soft, almost uncomfortable. the facilities in the room were good, although no plug for the sink resulted in using the circular soap as a plug to have a shave!
The car park was big and had a secure feel being far enough away from the main roads etc.
Only had to deal with one staff member over the phone and they were very helpful.
Would 100% stay again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We literally booked about an hour and a half before we arrived and the surroundings were quite calming
- shula v (6/5): If ambience matters to you give this place a miss - The heavy dark brown decor and furniture is oppressive, the shower head is inflexible and ruined my hair do, the TV screen is far too small to be seen from the bed, no chair to watch TV read a book do eye make up etc, the hideous wooden floor creaks, the peacocks stand on the balcony and cry from sunrise onward
- paul (4/5): - It dos not say that you will be sureing with others in the buildings
- Rachel (10/5): Definitely will be staying here again! - Place was very clean, the staff were very friendly and the place was nice and peaceful!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was great to find a property that had ample parking space for our 7.5t truck. It meant staying 12 miles from our destination but was worth it as it was in such a lovely setting and whereas would you wake up to see a peacock strut passed your window at breakfast!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Bedside lights did not work also no lights on mezannine level worked. No remote for TV on mezannine level. Bathroom radiator very dusty. Bad stain on the arm of the sofa in the communal area.Bin men emptied bins at 6am and had heated discussion under our window followed by white van delivering to orangery kitchen shortly after booming out music. So sadly awake and up very early. It did allow us to enjoy the peacocks antics, The property is set in beautiful fronds spoilt by the above.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The check in details need to be improved if you arrive after 6pm. I was luck that a fellow guest was able to help me otherwise I would have been stuck. I now know the process for future visits so less of an issue in future.
- Sue (10/5): Definitely a thumbs up as a wedding destination. - Stayed as part of a wedding group. Super chalet style accommodation, very clean with all you could want for a weekend stay.each chalet has 3 rooms with a communal kitchen and lounge area if you wanted to get together with friends/ family.
Peacock and deer wandering round the place, beautiful! It is a dry house( no bar) so bring your own or drive 5 mins to Farnham, plenty of lovely bars and restaurants.
- Dawn (4/5): Self catering stay - We found the apartment ok to start off with, parking was a nightmare as there was a wedding on so the wedding guests had taken most of the spaces, the spaces were very small and not much room to park. Our apartment seemed ok but a lot of the lights didn’t work, the shower cubicle was so slippery that we had to use a towel on the floor to stop anyone slipping, the plug seemed very slow in going down and water went over the lip very quickly as it was not a deep base, you had to turn the water off while you had a wash, toilet seat was loose as well.
The main bedroom was facing the car park and was like being in a goldfish bowl, as people walked past, only way to get privacy was to shut the curtains, which mad it dark, as I said earlier that some of the lights didn’t work. The stairs and the door were very noisy ( creaking and squeaking)
All in all I wouldn’t stay again
- Liam (4/5): Advert is clear, amenities weren't as advertised. - Lovely location and the room cleanliness was great, on arrival was greeted by some peacocks blocking the entrance to the door hissing at me which was quite funny. Once inside looked lovely, till I opened the fridge and it dawned on me this is a shared kitchen, poorly advertised as I would have not stopped here knowing that.
Once I settled in my room I turned the TV on, signal booster didn't work, so no TV, thought I would try streaming something on the laptop, terrible WiFi so that wouldn't work cohesively either. Tried to sleep but the floor above me were walking around at a perfectly acceptable level, but due to the inadequte insulation it sounded like an Thor hammering with his lightening hammer. Then to the morning, showered (great shower), went to dry my hair, no hairdryer as advertised. All in all, could have been an off day just a poor experience.
- John (10/5): - Excellent accommodation. Stayed while working locally. Quiet, clean and secure, would definitely use again.
