• HappyTravelling (10/5): Clean, Close, Comfortable, Convenient, and Competent !! - It is a really a very clean hotel, close to famous Textiles Market, historic centre, other city attractions, city streets and shops, and bus terminal as well. Limited Breakfast is tastefully presented. Owner and staff are very responsive. The hotel is very smartly run almost like a corporate clockwise efficiency !! Rarely seen such a disciplined approach in hospitality sector. Not much to complain, considering stays in similar rooms elsewhere. Internal furnishings/fittings could be rearranged like reach for light switches, bathroom curtain length for preventing water spill etc. There is day time traffic noise, to be expected due to street facing but most night time is quiet, with isolated interruptions approaching early morning. There are no common guest sitting areas, which I found common in other Equador 'hostels'.too.

Man hat eine tolle Aussicht und kann auf der Terrasse schön sitzen. Insgesamt ist die Unterkunft sehr neu und sauber. Wir haben uns dort total wohlgefühlt.

La atención fue muy cordial y el espacio de la habitación fue muy pequeňo. La habitación que me dieron fue muy ruidosa, en día domingo a la madrugada se oye claramente todo lo que pasa en la calle, no tiene doble vidrio ni insonorización para poder descansar.

• stephen (8/5): Without doubt good value for money in a quiet but not remote location - I asked to change rooms. I find all too often that , as a lone traveller, I am allocated the smallest of rooms, even if that small room has an additional bed which takes up 40% of the space and even if there are plenty larger rooms available which, in all likelihood, will remain available. The second room was a vast improvement. I asked for a chair so that I didn’t have to relax on the bed the whole time. Lovely bathroom. Really quiet hotel. Inevitably there was the occasional motor bike roaring up the road but such vehicles are part and parcel of life everywhere. You are five or six minutes on foot from the town centre. The host is very communicative and extends a warm welcome on arrival.

• Patricio (10/5): Lugar recomendado en tu visita a Otavalo - Siempre que tengo la oportunidad de viajar a Ecuador me quedó en este hostal, es muy céntrico, tienes todo lo que necesitas a minutos. El personal como siempre muy amable. Gracias a Diego como siempre por su atención y ayuda en todo momento. Pudimos también alojarnos en su nuevo alojamiento 'El camino de Diego' y quedamos súper contentos con las instalaciones, la tranquilidad y el bonito entorno que lo rodea. Esperamos regresar pronto.

• Caroline (10/5): Excelente lugar em Otavalo - Excelente lugar para se hospedar! Ótima localização, na região central de Otavalo e perto do terminal de ônibus, restaurantes e lojas. Quarto super limpo, espaçoso e confortável, chuveiro bem quentinho e o café da manhã é servido no quarto. Destaque para o staff super solícito, nos deram muitas dicas sobre a cidade, restaurantes, transporte.. também oferecem serviço de taxi até o Lago Cuicocha a preço justo, o que facilitou muito nosso deslocamento, e Diego foi nos contando sobre o lago e nos dando várias dicas. Certamente me hospedaria aqui novamente! Único problema é que o quarto e banheiro não são muito bem iluminados. Todas as outras coisas foram perfeitas!

The driver who works for hotel is very helpful and provided transport wherever we wanted. Very close to Plaza de Los Ponchos The rooms are simple and could use some sprucing up. They are clean however!

El desayuno es bueno, no tienen restaurante pero te llevan el desayuno a la habitación. Las estanterías estaban llenas de polvo, el papel higiénico que proveen es bastante pero bastante corriente y malo.

• Aurora (10/5): - Struttura in PIENO CENTRO di Otavalo, a 3 minuti a piedi dalla piazza del famoso mercato. Camere pulitissime, colazione ricca, buona e servita in camera all'orario che vuoi tu. L'host, Diego, è di una gentilezza disarmante ed è disponibile ad accompagnarti ovunque tu voglia, persino in Colombia! Ci tornerei domani.

• Philipp (10/5): Excellent value, kind service, perfect location - Excellent value for money: a clean, quiet, and very comfortable stay with exceptionally kind service. The location is excellent, close to the bus station, the famous market, many restaurants, and with a supermarket just across the street. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The manager even drove us to Laguna Cuicocha and back for $25 in a comfortable car, with interesting conversations along the way. He also gave us a free ride to the Panamericana bus stop for Tulcán, which was such a nice gesture. Our room was very spacious, clean, and quiet, with a hot shower that worked well. Breakfast is brought to the room, which works fine, though a second chair would make eating more comfortable. Suggestion: The top-floor terrace has great potential, if it were developed for guests to sit and relax, it would be a perfect spot to enjoy the city view. Right now it is empty.
• Natalia (9/5): A great place for a budget stay in Otavalo when you only come to the hotel to sleep - The best location for tourism: close to the bus terminal, the market, and the city center. There is a supermarket right across the street where you can buy everything you need. The rooms are cleaned every day, the breakfast is good, and the shower has hot water without any problems. The administrator will tell you where to go and how to get there, and will call a taxi for you. There is no soundproofing in the rooms. And there were traces of mold between the tiles on the bathroom wall.

• -nicole- (8/5): - Good location, safe. Shower was hot. Room was a good size. Staff were nice. Having to eat breakfast inside your room was slightly odd especially because there's just one proper chair. The curtains don't cover all the windows.
