- Al (6/5): - Do your own cleaning. Room cleaning for a fee and none on Sundays. No change of towels. A fee is charged for parking. Accessing check in and parking very inconvenient. No towels or robes for swimming pool. The crime rate must be terrible in Melbourne because this hotel uses every precaution and so make access difficult for clients. I like to feel comfortable and not constantly monitored so I wouldn’t use this hotel again.
- Michael (6/5): - 2nd time staying at this hotel within the week. The water faucets in shower stall, sink in bathroom, and in utility area were all difficult to adjust to the right temperature. Probably need adjustment. This is a different room from the one we stayed earlier the week.

- Samir (10/5): Room was very clean and the view was amazing - Room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. Our stay here was very welcoming. We will definately be staying here again.

- Ronald (8/5): - Nice, safe location Shower drain was a bit clogged but they sorted that very quickly, a bit dusty on some surfaces, black out curtains hard to push up against wall so it let some light in
- Brendan (6/5): - We requested for our room to be cleaned and it did not happen for three days straight. We had to ask for towels, robes and slippers that were advised on the website as luxury inclusions. The room was okay but not clean. Mould in the shower on the shower door. Carpets not vacuumed, with dried rice and food on the floor. Dust on most of the surfaces. Overall not very clean. Remote control for the television did not work. No foxtel only standard channels and limited. The kettle and toaster was also dirty so it did not feel like you wanted to use any items. Overall it was okay but we won’t be coming back.
- Lauren (8/5): - Great stay overall, just a couple things to mention. We were able to check in as soon as we got to the hotel, around midday which was amazing. Staff were lovely and super nice the entire stay. Shops and transport very close by! When we asked if we could access the internet or netflix on the tv however, we were told we could only do that using a HDMI cord attached to a laptop. Asked if they had a cord with a usb-c attachment which they didnt. Also, the rooms arent very soundproof and the lounge chairs by the pool were broken. These things were definitely not deal breakers and like I said, the stay was really great, just things to look out for.

Weird vibe sharing facility with apartment owners and not all hotel front desk staff spoke fluent English which was tough for some things

- WEI-LIN (10/5): - My daughter and i really enjoyed our stay. We travelled a lot recently because of my daughter's sportst competitions. The Chen was the best within the hotels we staye in recently. We especially enjoyed the shower at the Chen. Also, we loved the convenient environment where diverse food choices are available. We will be back soon.

- Ryan (10/5): - Our stay was good for only 1 night. Close to Box Hill Shopping center if you're looking to stay on that side of town. About a 20 minute drive to Chadstone Shopping Center. There is parking but it's a bit of a pain to get into and out of. Service was good, easy and quick check in and check out. Pretty run of the mill booking for us.

The Boxhill central mall is great for asian food ,thats all . This mall could invite sports goods shop to be anchor tenant !! Add on a childrens play grd .

- Barbara (8/5): - Very, very comfortable bed! Well appointed room with everything needed. The room was very hot when I first got in, but the air conditioning worked well and it was comfortable after about an hour. Check in was simple, but the receptionist failed to explain that I would need to tap my key card to operate the lift to my floor. Consequently I went up and down afew times before another guest explained the system! She also failed to explain to put the card in the slot near the door to operate overhead lights, Luckily I worked that out for myself. A comfortable stay close to the hospital.
- Lihong (10/5): - We spent four nights this summer. The hotel is located in a high-rise apartment building in the center of Box Hill, a major Asian community neighborhood. Excellent location within minutes walk to shopping mall, restaurants and Box Hill train/tram station. You could find almost any type of Chinese cuisines. Pubic transport is very convenient. We took train to downtown, beach and zoos. The room is a bit small for the family but it provides everything we need.

With the bedding the doona was marked and looked like it hadn't been washed in a while. The sheets were clean otherwise and there were choices of extra blankets if needed. The rooftop for sunsets almost 360 degree views.

I feel Art Series hotel marketing was misleading. There was no restaurant as part of The Chen, breakfast or room service or coffee in morning until cafe opened at 8pm. The bed was lovely and nice decor. The shower was awesome but hair in bathroom left by previous person or cleaner: The room not serviced unless you call and no mention of paid car park or I would gone elsewhere for the cost: I think and my opinion there needs to be a better information on your main website. Staff were friendly and courteous and always willing to help. No faults or negative comments about how I was treated here and the facilities are impeccable. If you want to stay at a hotel that is not too far from the CBD, The Chen is the place to be at.

- RUOFAN (8/5): Convenient location but poor parking - Overall the hotel is well situated with everything you need within reach about minutes travel; well maintained as the room is clean and lightings in working, sheets are clean, curtains working; equipped with essentials with nothing more or less. Drawbacks are that parking is inconvenient; air conditioning is a bit loud for sleep; elevators could have smells in the morning.

There is a restaurant on ground level called Zero Made - they had the most amazing chocolate moose cake I’ve ever experienced, it’s $18 but we’ll worth it - I’d recommend everyone try it when staying there.

- Brett (6/5): - First thing to know about this property is that it's not a purpose built hotel - rather it's situated in a mainly residential high rise tower. This means that it doesn't look like a hotel so is a bit hard to find. There is no typical expansive area in which you park while you check in. Instead, there is a gateway to a car park down the lane where you drop your car while you then navigate a labyrinth to find reception. Then you have to move your car to a second car park. In this process, we apparently witnessed someone break into the car park and steal from a storage locker. Doesn't give you a good feeling about the property or the security of the car park. The room itself was fine - nothing special but it was clean and comfortable. We paid extra for a balcony but it was completely enclosed in architectural mesh so you didn't feel like spending time out there enjoying the view - only for smokers. The staff were friendly and helpful but nothing really inspired us to stay there again and we would try another property.
