• Celine (10/5): Must stay - Welcoming staff and the most exceptionally clean room very comfortable very spacious additional guidance regarding the town where needed
• Nicki (9/5): Phillip Island Holiday - The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was very good pressure. Included in the kitchenette was some basic plates and bowls cups and some cutlery. The walls were a bit dusty above the bed and there was no smart TV. Also u had to put key in an activation slot near door before power would come on, so if u left the room, the power shut off, which made it hard to charge any of our devices when we left the room and went out for the day.

• David (10/5): A great classic Australian motel / motor inn. Wonderful experience - staff, clean and spacious - A great classic humble Australian motel / motor inn. What we paid, for the time of the year, and what we got, we were impressed (because some other places were a rip off in January) Clean, larger than average, in great condition/well maintained, strong shower and easy parking. Good heating and cooling (new split system). We were concerned about location but it was just fine, an enjoyable 15 minute walk down the main street to the bakery on the roundabout. Nice and easy to drive up to the room and unload luggage. Some underlay under the carpet would be nice the next time the rooms are refreshed. This is just me being super picky as it was a fantastic place all around and of course these things come at a cost that would need to be reflected in an increased room rate.

This property does not have an after hour contact number which means you are not going to get any support during their after hour of the stay. DO NOT book this property. This property does not have late check in and they hide this policy in their terms without addition email or text. I was not No Show. I arrived at the hotel at 9pm and the reception was closed without leaving any way for me to check in. No phone number of any way to reach out to the management. I was lucky to find an after hour contact of another hotel in the same town and did a late booking and late check in. When I shared my experience with the manager at this new motel, she was surprised to hear that Arthur Phillip did not even have after hour contact. I learned from the new motel that most local hotels do not offer 24 hour office hours but it is very common have self check in after office closes and an after hour contact for 24 hour support of the customers stay in the hotel. This property is the only hotel that does not have after hour check in, especially in a tourist place with penguin parade after sunset. I also go through all the reviews of this hotel later and I am not the only victim that the hotel charges while inability to accommodate check in due to arriving after office hour and they never try to improve their process. The phone number displayed on the office window is the phone inside the office. I called the number after I arrived and heard the ring in inside the office. That means this is not an after hour contact and this property does not have any support after hour for guests stayed in the hotel. Although the property says their office hours are clear stated on the website and booking agencies website, most of local motels are not 24 hours either and with self check in after hours. This property is so unique that there is no self check in after office closes. With such unique policy, the property never notify me in any way (no in-app message or email) of the fact that they do not provide late check in. The managerment did admit that they have my phone number but they did not contact me either to inform me about the no late check in policy nor tried to check with me on my arrival time. I deserve a refund because this hotel is not serving their customer properly, hiding unique no self check in policy in the terms, failing to actively notifying customers of their limitation on common services like after hour contact and late check in.
• John (7/5): Delightful location. - The location was delightful! Lovely neighborhood and close proximity to the village. The bucket of water/cleaning solution and squeegee confused us a bit until the following morning when all the birds woke us up and we realized why those items were there. Thanks! Room was extremely clean but quite tired. Furnishings were adequate but old.
