Guest Reviews
- Wayne (6/5): Clean and tidy hotel however our room location was disappointing - Very clean and staff were exceptional Why we were placed into a room suited for facilities with wheelchair and very elderly people is beyond me. We are not disabled hence our doom heard reversing trucks, noisy passage ways due to working staff nearby us

- Trestine (10/5): - Hospitality, cleanliness of rooms. N/A
- Casey (10/5): We look forward to booking more stays. - This fantastic location fantastic was fantastic as well. Lots to do around the area Would have liked a hot tub?
- Heather (7/5): Always enjoy the stay, however, had to pay for parking, which is BS - The convenience, it’s usually clean and welcoming. The fact you had to pay for parking at a hotel you paid for is a bit ridiculous. Didn’t like that at all.
- Tyler (10/5): Absolutely loved it, will book again. - I loved the location and I love the ambience of the hotel The sheets did need a bit more cleaning. Noticed some stains.
- David (10/5): -
- Robert (9/5): - Good location , great hotel
- Walter (9/5): Great, always enjoy the stay there. Clean and comfortable. - Clean, comfortable well maintained room and hotel. Excellent, friendly staff. Always stay there when in Chandler AZ. There are "parking payment" notices all over the place, including right in front the hotel door. The signs tell you you must pay for parking. I asked at the front desk and the charge was $9 per night. Not a big deal and it is reasonable to pay to protect your car from towing away for a mere $9, but it felt like a cheap scam to simply gouge customers for a few extra bucks per night. Several customers said they did not pay and nothing happened. I hedged my bet by parking next door in the restaurant parking lot. The pool is small, not much bigger than most home pools (max depth was 4 or 5 feet) but adequate.
- Gabriella (10/5): -
- Amanda (8/5): Staff was great and the fitness was really nice. But my bathroom appeared like it wasn’t cleaned very well. Hair all ove - It was clean and updated
- Daniel (10/5): -
- JasonG212 (2/5): Jason, Tiffany and Alyssa must go! - Bought 3 rooms as per every year for a business conference. Rec'd my keys from front desk. Went to room and the maid (Tiffany) was still there. She said I wasn't supposed to have that room. I asked her to phone the front desk as they just gave me the keys. She refused. She was extremely rude and I let her know I did not appreciate her attitude. She kept flapping her mouth at me so i went downstairs and got new keys after I told her I would speak to the manager about her behaviour.
I went to the restaurant across the street with a colleague and she took that occasion to see the manager where she turned on the "waterworks" and lied that i was abusive.
I came back to my room to find 8 police waiting for me. Remember, the manager (Jason), still hasn't spoken to me by this point (even though I had asked twice to speak to him but was told he was "busy"). I came to find out later he was "busy" talking to Tiffany and her housekeeping manager Alyssa. Alyssa backed Tiffany's story even though Alyssa wasn't even there. For some reason, Jason, being the smart guy that he is, decided to call the cops on me rather than hear my point of view on it.
If you read the reviews here and elsewhere, its pretty obvious they have a current housekeeping/front desk/management confusion problem and I was made a victim of it. I'm quite sure the issue begins with Jason as he's obviously not very smart and his staff knows it. I ended up on the street with my suitcases because of their error and belief that their personnel should be allowed to abuse me and treat me shoddily after getting the wrong keys given to me and, then, being abused by a housekeeper for having the audacity to show up at the room I was given the keys for.
I am owed an apology and more. I will continue to highlight wherever I can the abuses that took place on that day until it's rectified. Jason, Alyssa and Tiffany need to be dismissed of their duties. I expect action now Cambria. You're just going to continue to ignore that you had a guest trespassed for no good reason at all?
- Chad (7/5): - clean staff was very helpful and friendly. The air conditioner would not go down to a level that met my comfort was too hot. when asked to lower the thermostat was told it could not. but the staff was able to offer a fan. Also had to pay for parking if i would of known i had to pay for parking i would have stayed some where else. parking was not covered parking.
- Melissa (10/5): Enjoyed the pool and the quiet - Clean and location Na
- Hoffman (8/5): -
- Wiebe (6/5): The staff were wonderful; the room was adequate. - The bed was comfortable. Location was great as most of the things we were interested in (shops, restaurants) were closeby. Its not possible for you to change, but the room was really cramped - there is only one chair, the TV is mounted so you are watching it at an angle.
- Paul (6/5): For as much money as I spent, which was overpriced, the room should’ve been in great shape and it wasn’t. I expressed my - I liked the location in Chandler in proximity to things that we were doing The cleanliness of the room was an issue which I brought up to the hotel staff. The drains in the sink and the shower were very slow and water was pooling up during handwashing and showers.

- Climber58477572706 (2/5): Entered My Room Twice With Privacy Sign On & Zero Housekeeping - Unprofessional Management - I would never recommend this hotel.
I originally booked a 3-night stay but ended up arriving a day early. I called the day of my flight to add another night and was told it was no problem but it would be treated as two reservations and I would need to check out Sunday and check back in.
I checked in around midnight Saturday and paid a $100 deposit. On Sunday I left my room with the privacy sign on the door. Around 3pm the front desk called telling me I needed to return immediately to check out and check back in for the second reservation. I returned within about 10 minutes and was required to pay another $100 deposit.
When I returned to my room, the privacy sign was no longer on the door and had been placed inside the room, meaning someone had entered despite the sign being displayed.
Monday my room was not cleaned. Tuesday my room was still not cleaned and I had no fresh towels. I called the front desk and spoke with Veronica, who argued with me about my reservations and told me rooms are only cleaned on the third day. At that point it was already the third day and my room still had not been serviced. She eventually brought towels and said staff had “dropped the ball.”
Tuesday night I asked Lena at the front desk if I could extend checkout until 2pm because my flight was later. She initially said no, then said it would require a fee but couldn’t locate the policy anywhere. After calling Veronica she told me the fee would be $55. I declined and asked how late I could stay without a fee and she said 11:30am.
When I returned to my room my key suddenly stopped working. After I went back downstairs and expressed how frustrating the situation was, Lena later called and said the 2pm checkout would be approved and the fee waived.
At 11:30pm that same night Veronica called me from home explaining she had gone home sick, it was her second day as manager, and the team “needed work.” The conversation went on far longer than it should have and felt extremely unprofessional.
The next morning I left briefly with the privacy sign on my door and returned an hour later to find the sign once again placed back inside my room, meaning someone had entered my room again despite the sign being on the door.
At checkout Jacob at the front desk was very kind and helpful. However when management became involved they mostly made excuses for the situation. They eventually offered compensation, but instead of refunding the night I personally paid for ($269), they refunded one of the nights that had been booked using my mother’s reward points. In other words, the credit didn’t even go back to the person who actually paid cash for the stay.
Beyond the service issues, the property itself is poorly maintained. The AC units appear locked and do not properly cool the room. The shower bases are stained brown, the shower caddy is dirty, and metal fixtures throughout the room are rusting. The beds have almost no padding and the pillows smelled strongly of sweat. Housekeeping service was inconsistent and my room was never cleaned during the stay.
I have stayed at the Cambria in Fargo, ND and had a completely different experience. Unfortunately this location felt closer to a budget motel than a Cambria hotel.
I hope Choice Hotels corporate reviews this property because the guest experience and privacy issues during my stay were far below expected Cambria brand standards.
- RobTangeman (6/5): Nice Facility / Fresh Look - A Few Concerns - I've stayed at Cambria a few times over the past few months. The facility is quite nice and the lobby is welcoming. The rooms are comfortable as well. I found the floors to be a bit loud on both stays. The other concern is the recent change to start charging for parking when there are loads of spots surrounding the hotel.
- OldPiners (6/5): Dark bathroom - Checking in gal Tina? Was nice but soft spoken and hard to hear over lobby / bar acoustic noises which were very loud.
Overall the room was clean minus the smear across the sliding bathroom doors and the day bed / couch had crumbs on it and appeared dirty
Terrible lighting in bathroom, almost needed to plug in the desk lamp to see.
2 Queen beds?? One queen and one double is actually what they were.
Surprised by the parking fee of 9 dollars - which with fees and taxes is actually 10.71 - found after the fact on website it is somewhat hidden.
Checking out in the morning gal Kim was very nice and apologetic regarding the issue of the lighting.
- Rana (9/5): -
- Deane (10/5): -
- Tiffany (1/5): Terrible - Nothing I wasn’t even able to stay there online I checked at my time would be 1 AM and when I got there, they refused to let me check in the woman at the front was unfortunately very lazy and telling me she didn’t wanna do her job until two hours later, even though I was there by myself in the dark outside with a toddler. She refused to let me check in. I lost my money. Had to sleep in my car on New Year’s, and it was the worst day of my life. I can’t even get my money back for the stay.

- kamisha (8/5): -
- Susan (8/5): - I like it’s location to my office. The room was quiet and staff were attentive.
- Synethia (8/5): - Leftover food in the fridge and pop tart under the chair
- David (5/5): It was okay for one night but would probably choose a different hotel next time. - We had a view of the pool and the mall, which was nice. I did not like the fact that the pool was closed, and the air conditioner sounded like a freight train was coming through the room. You can hear all the road noise from the street, as well as the beeping sound from the stoplight to indicate whether to walk or not. Just really noisy. No water in your room for the coffee maker, no wash cloths for the shower, and a charge for everything. No free breakfast, no jacuzzi.
- Glorymar (10/5): -
- Joshua (3/5): Looks great on the outside but needs serious cleaning. - I liked the location of the property and how easy it was to get to various activities. Everything looked updated and felt comfortable. The problem is the cleanliness. We had gotten food and brought home the leftovers and when we opened the mini fridge, there was a large, fake eyelash stuck to the rack. I found this pretty gross and we didn’t put our food in it. We couldn’t eat any of the leftovers because of that. Then my wife found Bobby pins on the ground with hair. She doesn’t use Bobby pins so it was definitely someone else’s. Again, pretty gross.
Also, I was told the pool was heated and when we went out there to swim, the water was frigid. I don’t understand the problem with that.
- Erica (10/5): -
- David (10/5): - Staff is very polite. Very clean.
- Tia (10/5): -
- Karen (5/5): - The service good The bed, pillows are too soft.
- Raul (10/5): We come to Phoenix a few times a year and this is where we always stay - Location is excellent. The rooms are great. The staff is probably the best part.
- Bernadette (8/5): Great Location by Fashion Mall - Great location by Fashion Mall and restaurants.

- Autumn (8/5): - I. Had a great time
- Gamaliel (10/5): - There’s a glitch in the reservation when we arrived but the lady at the front desk fixed it within 15 mins. Also , the shades cord broke and they came in fix it right away. Overall our experience was great. The bar and restaurant as very convenient too!
- Patricia (6/5): - We were told that we could request daily housekeeping and we did. We only received it once during our stay. We had no soap and it was never refilled. Front staff shouldn't offer daily housekeeping if it won't be done.
The front desk person said that the pool was heated and it is not. He needs to be properly informed.
Very loud in the early morning hours with trucks beeping 3-4am and landscaping - grass cutting and power blowers - at 5am.
- Chrisanta (10/5): - The room was very clean. Keurig needs cleaning Refrigerator wasn't as cold as we wanted wasn't able to adjust. The staff was amazing we checked in after 11pm staff was very pleasant made check in so easy. Love the self check at the micro mart and available 24/7.

- ARACELY (10/5): - Very nice
- Rochelle (10/5): -
- Nicholas (10/5): - Simply amazing
- Donna (8/5): - The room and bathroom were spacious. We liked having the frig, microwave (may need a new one, as it didnt heat great) and decent closet, and iron, etc.The front desk person was helpful. Your location is perfect.
Also, we like the floors, with no carpet! Your shower floor needs some help, though. It is gray. I have found a mix of Dawn & Vinegar soaking 45 min works better than most products, on plastic shower tubs and floors. (Just say'n)
- Kerri (10/5): - Loved my stay

- Sandra Valenzuela (2/5): - There was mold in the shower and restroom the rooms were very dirty and night staff was extremely rude. I will never stay here again

- melissa (10/5): - After a very long and draining weekend, our night here was the vacation from our vacation we needed. We slept amazingly. The bed was so comfortable!
- dbrownsh1 (10/5): Exceeded expectations, walkable to dining and shopping - Wife and I were visiting family in the area for a few days and even though we have status with Marriott and Hilton and rarely stray from them we picked this place due to the location and having walkable dining and shopping. The area around the hotel seemed very safe, never saw a single homeless person, anything or anyone suspicious. We got an upgrade on the rental car at the airport and parked the rented Maserati in their free parking lot, no issues, so I would have been comfortable if we had our less exotic car in that same lot. Loved the Italian restaurant next door, but there were other places to eat that were walkable as well, we just didn't have the time . Target/CVS across one street, costco a block away and a mall across the other street. We had a mini suite, very nice and spacious, probably more than we needed, was more like an apartment. They have keurigs in the rooms and lobby and extra K-cups and supplies in the lobby if you need them. We bought a small half/half at CVS but later noticed they actually had real creamer cups, not the powdered stuff hotels usually put in the rooms. We didn't eat or drink in the lobby bar/restaurant but it looked nice and the pool had cabanas that seemed free and were vacant when we looked, it just didn't fit into our schedule on such a short trip but if we were here for more than two nights or had more free time we would have spent more time at the property and the area. For the price we paid we were very impressed, I don't believe there were any resort fees, I know there was no parking fees and that usually worries me that parking might be in short supply, poorly maintained or poorly lit but the opposite was true. One day they called us to let us know that they were going to wash the outside windows with a drone and just didn't want us to be alarmed, we were packing anyways and about to leave but stayed a few minutes to watch it, very cool. Oh and the elevators were fast, always seemed to arrive quickly or already be there. I have no complaints and only compliments for the staff we encountered, all of them were helpful and pleasant, even the other guests were all nice. At this price point it exceeded our expectations. I completed their survey and got a nice e-mail that was not AI generated from the manager the next day, I appreciate the little touches. I believe Cambria hotels will now be part of my searches if they are anything like this one.
- Christopher (10/5): - Great location to whatever you want to do. Clean rooms and great staff. Pool was used by all of us and it was a good time
