AmyL4 (9/5): Enjoys the lake view and the comfortable bed that the hotel offers - The view of Erhai from the hotel is beautiful. We managed to catch sunrise from our room balcony. The staff is very friendly and attentive to our request. The gym and swimming pool at rooftop offers great view of the lake as well. Shops & resturants surrounding the hotel is out of business or under renovation. The hotel is not near any tourist attractions but is a short cab ride to the train station.
Mi Sun (3/5): 전반적으로 기대에 미치지 못한 숙박 경험 - 위치는 좋았습니다. 호수 바로 앞이고 기차역, 시내 중심가에서 가까웠습니다. 국제적인 호텔임에도 불구하고 직원들과의 영어 소통이 매우 원활하지 않았습니다. 총 2주간의 장기 투숙 예약이었음에도 불구하고, 객실 배정 시 동일 건물 내에서 공사가 진행 중이라는 사실에 대해 사전에 아무런 안내를 받지 못했으며, 그로 인해 오후 6시까지 공사 소음이 상당히 심했습니다. 해당 사항을 호텔 측에 전달했을 때에도 별다른 조치나 설명 없이 객실을 다시 변경하라는 안내만 받았습니다. 또한 조식은 호텔의 높은 가격과 등급을 고려했을 때 매우 기대에 못 미치는 수준이었습니다. 사용된 재료나 음식의 전반적인 품질이 저렴하게 느껴졌고, 맛 또한 평범했습니다. 더불어 예약 변경을 요청했을 때에도 호텔 측에서는 별도의 안내나 적극적인 도움 없이 계속해서 Booking.com에만 연락하라고 안내했습니다. 이러한 이유들로 인해 전반적인 숙박 경험에 큰 실망을 느꼈으며, 결국 중도에 투숙을 종료하고 근처 다른 호텔로 이동하였습니다.

jokrqing13 (8/5): A Pleasant Stay with Minor Flaws at Hotel Indigo Dali Erhai - The overall experience at Hotel Indigo Dali Erhai was quite positive, though there were a few shortcomings worth mentioning. Two days before our arrival, the hotel's guest service manager proactively sent a text message informing us about the weather forecast and notifying us of a complimentary room upgrade, while also inquiring about our expected arrival time - a thoughtful touch that set a good tone for our stay. During breakfast, when restaurant manager Aimee learned we had an early flight and limited time to eat, she kindly prepared a package of rose-flavored pastries (a local specialty) for us to enjoy on our journey. This level of attentiveness was truly heartwarming. However, there were some drawbacks. The air conditioning system seemed to malfunction, and despite the engineering department's inspection and attempted repairs, the issue wasn't fully resolved. This resulted in uncomfortably high temperatures in our room at night, even waking us up due to the heat. Additionally, while the hotel is beautifully situated by Erhai Lake, the surrounding area lacks convenient public transportation. I would strongly recommend renting a vehicle in advance to better enjoy your trip around Dali. Overall, the hotel has great potential with its beautiful location and attentive staff, but some operational issues need addressing to ensure a completely satisfying experience.

Wei (10/5): Great facility with great view if you book the Erhai view! - You have to book for the Erhai view rooms it were fantastic. The room were well designed, renovated and come with a balcony. It is right beside Erhai with great views and fresh air. It were close by the main train station as well which is ~20 min drive. The neighborhood were relaxing and great for a walk nearby. Hotel staff are well trained and friendly. The mini bar were free and refilled daily. If you are IHG member there is a complimentary drink at hotel bar (didn’t get to enjoy as waited a bit long and we had appointment afterwards, but the view at the bar is great). It were quite a distance from most of the main attractions, which could take 30mins to >an hour to get to. But if you want a relaxing vacation, you won’t regret it.

Nonetheless, the manager on duty that night promptly addressed our concern and relocated us to a non-smoking room. He even arranged for an additional bed for my child and assisted with our luggage transfer at 2 am. Despite this hiccup, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the breakfast was simply delightful. I also like that the staff helped us with our luggage upon reaching the hotel with our transport. The room on our first night. Something went wrong with the air ventilation in that room.

davidlye1968 (10/5): Great hotel to stay . I will return again. - Excellent guest service and very customer oriented hotel. The view and location of Indigo Hotel at Dali is one of the best. The ambient is great and the breakfast is great. The hotel is very clean and the hotel is very new. Staff members are always friendly.
Ideatraveller (10/5): Fabulous Hotel with Fascinating View - Excellent hotel with great Erhai view, room are spacious with unique design and layout. Service are fabulous, staff from housekeeping, food and beverage and front desk are very attentive. Restaurant buffet dinner offer are value of money. Swimming pool and gym are very user friendly and comfortable to use it. Hotel GM - Simon Chen are lovely and very professional.
TripRaghu (10/5): Awesome Experience - Excellent Hospitality - We had a short vacation in Dali. Undoubtedly we chose Indigo Dali and realised that it was the best decision. The rooms had an amazing panorama of the Erhai lake. The staff were very hospitable. Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The Concierge team went the extra mile to share us some very local tips that helped us explore Dali and the surrounding areas like a local. We are vegetarians - the F&B team took good care of our dietary restrictions and offered us palatable meals.
thejaniceh (2/5): Worst IHG experience by far - Services absolutely non-existent. Front desk staff cold and unhelpful. The so-called deluxe 180’ lake view room is smaller than a standard one, with its door opening directly into the bathroom area — your shower on the left and your bathroom on the right. Bathroom door is at the same time your closet door. If you choose to close your bathroom, closet remains wide-open, vice versa. Drainage is also loud at night. Lighting design poor. I received close to no sleep in my stay. Moving straight to Hilton today. P.S. I stayed at the Lijiang Indigo right before this one. What a shame the two share the same banner. Dali Indigo is truly worse than a Holiday Inn. Never again.
UliA3 (10/5): Great! - The hotel is located facing the beautiful Erhai Lake with views over the whole lake. The hotel is very new and beautifully appointed. Lots of glass and fresh colors make it a great place to stay. A number of restaurants right and it's footsteps it is about a 30 min taxi ride away from the main tourist attractions like the ancient town and the 3 pagodas. Breakfast is fantastic and the gym is great too. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Only thing to note is that right now they don't seem to accept foreign issued credit cards. I paid with wechat instead. The rooms aren't very well insulated so you might hear your neighbors or the room attendant outside the room. I would definitely choose the Indigo again if travels bring us to Dali again.
