• Angela (8/5): Schön aber für Thai Verhältnisse zu teuer - Die Lage ist wunderschön und sehr ruhig. Das Bett war mal nicht bretthart sondern bequem Der Preis ist nicht gerechtfertigt. Mussten 2 Stunden warten bis wir bei der Ankunft in den Bungalow durften obwohl er bereits fertig war.

• John (7/5): Thoroughly enjoyed a quiet few days. - Location is great for quiet, remote beach holiday. Short walk along beach to and from restaurants was pleasant after sundown. Otherwise a scooter or bicycle would be convenient. Very kind owners family made us feel welcome. Bungalow and bathroom in need of repairs, plus presence of flies, mosquitos despite coils, ants and rodent noises at night unnerving.

La chambre confortable, la climatisation, la situation géographique en bout de plage qui permettait de ne pas être dérangés par les fêtards. Le petit déjeuner au restaurant Ailay était très satisfaisant ( pas compris dans le tarif en ce qui nous concerne) et nous y avons pris aussi beaucoup de nos repas. Le personnel et les patrons étaient exceptionnels et très à l’écoute. La connexion wifi n’était pas au top mais nous ne sommes pas allés à Phayam pour être sur internet. Nous avons eu l’occasion de rencontrer quelques insectes dans la chambre et la salle de bain, mais là aussi ça ne nous a pas dérangé plus que ça, c’est normal quand on est en pleine jungle. Nous avons aperçu aussi plusieurs fois un varan. Nous n’avons que de merveilleux souvenirs de notre séjour à La ong lay. Devoir partir
• M.Schoeberl (7/5): - Das Personal war reizend, die Bungalows wurden täglich gereinigt. Subjektiv gesehen hat uns der Strand nicht so gut gefallen. Für thailändische Verhältnisse einfach zu teuer, auch wenn man in Betracht zieht, dass es auf einer Insel immer teurer ist.

• bill (6/5): - The location, right on the beach, the bed, the air con and the hot water in the shower. We arrived just after 12 noon, a little early, but when people have to vacate by 11am, how long does it take to clean a room. We waited until almost 2pm before being told our room was ready. They didn't even offer us a glass of water, but asked if we wanted anything from the restaurant menu. There is a list of rules for guests, the first 5 are DO NOT..... The place must be the most expensive pn a like for like basis of any accommodation on the island and not worth the price. And the sand flies in front of the patio, the complex accept this is an issue. And on check out we were asked not to leave until they had checked our room. No where else on our stay in Thailand has anyone done that. Given that the room was cleaned each day, quite they thought we might have done. Overcharged, money making, untrusting management. Treat customers as cash cows.

• Ricarda (7/5): Super Lage, aber Preis-Leistung nicht ok. - Lage war super, direkt am Strand. Aber trotzdem weit ab vom Schuss. Ohne Roller geht kaum was. Das Hauspersonal (außer die Chefs, muss ich ehrlicherweise sagen) war sehr nett, das Essen, das man bestellen konnte, war lecker. Ich fand die Inhaber sehr schroff und kurz angebunden. Auf Kirechviecher muss man sich in den Zimmern leider einstellen (Raupen, Kakerlaken), die Anlage ist hinten raus sehr dreckig, das Bad und unser Bungalow war in einem sehr schlechten Zustand. Für das Geld war es nicht angemessen. War relativ enttäuscht. Frühstück war nicht inklusive, was bei dem Preis pro Nacht schon fast frech ist.

• Robert (1/5): wouldn’t recommend - the only thing we liked is to wake up to the sound of the sea. but every other accommodation on the beach offers that as well … i wanted to cancel a few minutes after booking because i had made a mistake in the dates, but they wouldn’t let me. it was really unnecessary to have this policy, the place was fully booked when we were there, they would have been able to find other people to stay there instantly. their communication before arrival was short and unfriendly. the restaurant is very expensive, we didn’t eat there out of principle. the rooms don’t look like in the pictures (check google and tripadvisor) and are very run down. value for money is very poor. the location is bad, it’s very far from every restaurant or breakfast place (necessary if you don’t wanna spend money at the overpriced restaurant).
• Danielle (9/5): Fantastic stay at Long Beach - This stay was wonderful! Mr Piak and Mrs Diew and their staff are the best. The location is beautiful; by the end (of start) of Long Beach. So you can start your day with a long walk. Via the beach you can walk to Main Street, but if you can drive a scooter rent one. The island is beautiful and there is so much to explore! At the location you can eat. It’s a small card but really good.

• Sebastian (1/5): Vorsicht! Abzockanlage an wunderschöner Beach - Die Lage am Strand ist in Ordnung. Absolut überteuerte Anlage. Es sind primitive Holzhütten, die mit Klimaanlage, Kühlschrank und Durchlauferhitzer aufgewertet wurden. Die Wege zwischen den Bungalows sind heruntergekommen und marode. Hier ist alles nur reine Abzocke und man kann nur davor warnen. Einmal und nie wieder!

• Stephan (9/5): Schöne Anlage auf Ko Payam! - Wir waren insgesamt 3 Wochen in einem Beachfront-Bungalow. Wer auf Ko Payam eine ruhige Unterkunft mit den nötigen Annehmlichkeiten sucht, wird hier fündig. Die Bungalows sind sehr einfach gehalten, aber Bett, Klimaanlage, Dusche und tägliche Reinigung funktionieren tadellos. Die Lage direkt am (täglich gereinigten) Strand ist fantastisch. Die Beachfront-Bungalows verfügen je über zwei Aussensessel und zwei Aussenliegen. Mehrheitlich schön schattig unter den Bäumen. Alle Aussenmöbil inkl. das gepflegte Restaurant mit schönem Vorgarten, sind ausschliesslich mit Holzmöbeln ausgestattet (eine Seltenheit hier). Die Besitzer sind bezüglich Finanzfragen recht unflexibel. Umbuchungen, Stornierung, oder Entgegenkommen beim Downgrad in einen etwas weniger grossen/schönen Bungalow (bei uns so geschehen in der letzten Woche), Fehlanzeige! Gemessen am Komfort der Bungalows sind die Preise an der Schmerzgrenze (wir würden die Bungalows in der zweiten Reihe nicht buchen). Aber als Ganzes, ist die Anlage halt doch einfach einmalig aus Ko Payam!

Leider fast immer ausgebucht- weil einfach klasse 👍 - Lage, sehr saubere und schöne Bungalows mit tollem Blick und sehr guter Ausstattung, sehr freundliches Personal. Tolle, liebevolle Gestaltung mit Sinn für Details. Nichts. Sehr zu empfehlen. Nicht ganz günstig, aber lohnt sich.

• Constance (10/5): Merveilleux, merci ! - Les pieds dans le sable, le confort (bouilloire pour pouvoir prendre son café directement depuis sa propre terrasse dès le lever du soleil…), le fait que je n’ai croisé aucun insecte sortant des canalisations des sanitaires (pas si commun que ça dans les îles), la sympathie des hôtes, la localisation qui ne nécessite pas de devoir prendre un scooter pour aller dîner et… l’eau chaude, fait rare sur Koh Phayam!

• Tobias (10/5): A stay in paradise. - The location, the room (beachfront), the staff, the silence, the sound of the sea. It was a dream. I hope the beach stays as quiet as it was. I am afraid more and more people will go to Koh Phayam, destroying the silence. The hose to clean your feet from sand was at the side of the bungalow, a bit far away, so you always had sand in the room (and bed). A bowl with water next to the entrance to clean your feet would be cool.
• Stefan (10/5): It is paradise! - If I were asked to imagine a stay in paradise, I would come up with something like La Ong Lay. Cute cottages right on the beach, comfortable with air condition and hot water (you think you do not need it in the tropics, but let me tell you, it is so nice to have a hot shower after swimming). The hosts were very attentive and welcoming. They also run a restaurant, where you practically sit right on the beach, we loved their breakfast Muesli fruit bowl and their fried banana dessert is to die for. They let us use their kayak and snorkel gears, they reserved our trip back to the main land and they brought us drinks and them delicious fruit shakes to our deck chairs, thanks to you for making our stay so enjoyable, I could go on and on about the charm of this place. Sure it is somewhat pricey for the the remote location, but well worth it.
• Vanessa (8/5): We are going back the location is brilliant especially the from row. - Brilliant location and comfortable bed and pillows. It was great to have a kettle and fridge. Seats on the patio and exclusive loungers on the beach so there was always somewhere to sit outside. The sound of the sea through the day and night was perfect. The rooms need some repairs especially the door locks. The lighting outside is too intrusive and bright a little thought and design maybe some lampshades would solve this. Light pollution ruined stargazing on the patio. The room was never dark even at night.

You don't need much here other than a bed for the night as the location is so beautiful you will always be relaxing outside. We plan to come back every year. Thank you ka. Nothing, it was perfect.

The bed was very comfortable and we had a view of the beach... It was all very peaceful, and we felt able to completely relax at La Ong Lay.. The kayaks and snorkelilng equipment were free to borrow and the snorkelling was incredible... The sunsets and the beach are very beautiful too...

Very clean with great daily housekeeping. Efficiently managed by very nice managers and team who work very hard to make you happy. Good restaurant and food. Good air con. Bungalows are a bit shabby and need some maintenance. Entrance to property and river behind could use some cleanup. Prices for second row units should be cheaper. Overall price is too high for the quality of the units.

The location is great, the food is amazing, the property is so beautiful and well taken care of. You can borrow for free, kayaks and snorkels as well as kids toys and books. The rooms are fairly basic in style but on the opposite end of the spectrum they have a fridge, kettle and teas, coffees etc. water is provided and air con was great. Shampoo, shower gel AND conditioner was also provided. I liked the vibe a lot. It was relaxing, calm and just gave us a perfect end to our stay on the island. Honestly, despite the rooms being quite simple, I still really loved it!

Coincidently, the food is the best on the beach. Try the Massaman Curry! We'll be back for sure. Nothing that comes to mind. Can highly recommend.
• Simone (1/5): Go somewhere else - The only thing we liked was the sea view and trees in front of bungalow. The bungalow is not worth £60 a night, I would say more like 20 quid.🤨 No space to put luggage, had to leave all inside on tbe floor. Totally spartan rooms. Over charged prices for room and everything else. Over rated by travellers so we thought going to the best in the area. Big mistake, we left after 2 days cos we could not have a refund. Bed is hard as brick. Got up with a foul backache. Had to ask for cushions for our seats out side that eventually was supplied. It's at the end of the beach and far away from the best spots on the beach for eating, bars and bakeries. We did not eat or drink there cos prices were high. 95 bht for espresso!! Go to Tropical Hostel for a great espresso for 40. I recomment the food at JJ's simple marvelous. And if you want splash on bungalowns price go for The Cede, total boutique. We went to another bay!

Dangerous sandy road to ride with the scooter to restort. Water in shower staying in the drain (badly leveled tiles). We had to clean trash around bungalow to had a nicer place to stay (now clean for future guest), but owners son helped us with that.
• Alek (7/5): The facility is fine, the vibe is off. - I liked the huts that were located directly on the beach. They looked kind of cute, minimalistic but had everything we needed. Beach is amazing. Coffee in the morning at the hotel’s restaurant was amazing. I didn’t try the breakfast but it looked really good too. I got there in the evening. You have to walk through some bushes without light, then some abandoned sites before you get to the hotel itself. I didn’t like the vibe of the place, it checks out with other reviews. The owners are nice but they just need to be more open and hospitable.
• Laurel (10/5): LOVED it - Excellent resturant and cook. VERY helpful staff and friendly. beautiful location within walking distance of restaurants and shops down the beach. the accomodations were ON the beach...awesome swimming. This is a lovely place but they really! needed cushions for the lounge chairs that were wooden slats and VERY uncomfortable. There were just a few cushions that the guests were grabbing to keep.
• Sara (10/5): Exceptional - I stayed right on the beach in a beautiful room, lovely breeze and able to leave the door open and listen to the sea. Situated at the end of amazing beach where the sand is like powder. Just 10 mins walk to the village or along the beach for more bars and restaurants.Free use of kayaks Nothing
• Kim (8/5): Very good - rooms where lovely everyday cleaning. clean people very kind don’t like the managers the are to much on the money. and serve in evening bad food. but no refund and not solution. so they have to be more education in this. but next door you have Rasta bar and lot of other friendly and tasteful breakfast and all other. also lot cheaper! the coffee is at this location super good! but also little overpriced 🙏
• Kim (7/5): Good - accommodation was goodwe eat only on other locations. but the owners where too much on the money. and the food was not okay! the coffee was good but also expensive so for this recommend other location more friendly 🙏
• Teresa (8/5): It’s one of the pricey places at the island, but I would pay for the location again. - Beautiful location right on the softest Sandy part of the long beach. very friendly staff. The bungalow has a nice size bed and a spacious large bed with very clean and soft sheets. Very good and intact mosquito net. Noise at night from the nearby rasta bar on some of the nights, thankfully not all the nights! Not many places to put your stuff, could use some shelves or hooks. The walls have a lot of cracks for a little animals to come in, thankfully the location of the beach is not as populated by animals as it would be inside the jungle.
