• Brigitte (3/5): Décevant - Très bien placé. Le bâtiment est plutôt sympa. Le personnel nous a bien aidés. La chambre était vraiment basique pour le prix. Aucune décoration, l’eau de la douche était froide. Un cafard à moitié mort par terre. La salle de bain était vétuste. Pas de coffre, ce qui est embêtant en Colombie. Le petit déjeuner était on ne peut plus basique avec du pain sec, pas de jus. Le café était bon.
• Beatrice (9/5): Une bonne adresse, de charme - Le personnel très accueillant et efficace, notamment pour nous réserver un tour aux villages palafittiques, le charme et l'emplacement de l'hébergement, la grande taille de la chambre. Quelques points d'amélioration à souligner : - Le plafonnier de la chambre ne marche que si l'on allume le ventilateur. - Un distributeur gratuit d'eau potable serait bienvenu (on pourrait s'attendre à ce qu'il en ait un, comme souvent dans des hébergements pourtant moins onéreux).

• Kevin (8/5): I think the town and hotel are underrated. The amount of historic architecture surrounding the hotel is incredible, yet - Its historic feel was fabulous. The owners were on site and very attentive to our needs. Its proximity to the main square was great and the square was hopping with family like stores, restaurants and locals. Although the water was warm, there unfortunately was no hot water during our stay.

• mathilde (9/5): - L'accueil était vraiment chaleureux et attentionné. Le lieu est très beau, la décoration très appropriée. Le petit déjeuner servi dans le patio était très bon. L'équipe est très serviable, propose des visites, organise les tuktuks... Vraiment un bel endroit. La chambre donnait sur la rue et un peu de bruit.

• Angela (10/5): an oasis, Mecando en verdad - Every single thing about this property is perfect. It’s gorgeous. It’s an oasis near very special places. The staff will help you with anything you need and make you feel more welcome than you can ever imagine. I lost my debit card and had a lot of trouble while I was staying there, and they helped me figure everything out. I cannot recommend this place enough. I’ve been in Colombia a lot and this Hotel and the people there took better care of me than anybody ever has. The breakfast is delicious. The rooms are comfortable and incredible. The Spanish colonial style is an oasis. The staff are incredible. They arranged everything for me—multiple transportation, my Tours, my breakfast, they even ordered and picked up my lunch for me one day. 15/10 I cannot recommend enough. Everything was perfect

• Farflungtravels (10/5): Great stay in an underrated gem of a city - The colonial architecture is absolutely amazing. It matches or exceeds the colonial architecture you find in Cartagena, but has a more authentic feel since you're in Cienaga--an underrated spot on the Caribbean coast. All the rooms are named for female characters in Gabriel Garcia Marquez books. There are common areas on the two floors for sitting. The view from the rooftop at sunset was great-- city and sea views. Lilibeth was so kind to make us breakfast to go since we were leaving so early. I wish I could have spent more time here.

• Stephen (10/5): - A really beautiful hotel which seemed transformed from an old, fancy house. It is very close to the plaza, only two blocks. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed and strong air conditioning. Super tasty breakfast in the morning, and they accommodated for my partner's vegan diet. The staff were so kind and helpful with information we needed. We didn't expect such a beautiful house, given the walk from the main road where the bus dropped us off. Even so, we were so happy with or stay and glad we visited Ciénaga.

They went above and beyond to help us during our stay. And the views were AMAZING - the building itself was also so gorgeous. Breakfast was wonderful as well. The outlets in the room were hot and some were sticking out of the walls. The outlets between the nightstand didn't work at all. We made it work but i'd like to comment on it so that the owners can get it fixed since I do worry about it being a fire hazard.

Breakfast was delicious all three days and the charming square is a two-minute walk away. The hotel was more than I could have asked for.

• Dennis (6/5): - We loved the architecture and character of the historic building. We loved the helpful and friendly staff. We liked the varied breakfasts. However after 4 days, we were shocked when we were presented with a bill of 60,000 pesos (US$15) for coffee refills at the complimentary breakfasts. There are no lavanderias in the area so the hotel offers to do laundry for guests. We were angry that this hotel charged twice the amount that other hotels have charged us for laundry. Compared to lavanderias, this hotel charged about 3 times the typical price.

• Rune (10/5): A jewel in a cozy town - A beautiful little boutique hotel with a very welcoming host who did everything to make you feel at home including recommendation for dinner (Plaza San Juan which has great Columbia and Japanese fusion) and Sunset viewing. Clean and tidy place to be recommended if you need a break driving from the beaches in the north to Cartagena.
