LIDIA (5/5): - La ruta del desfiladero de la yecla y la vuelta a casa q pase y paré en somosierra Que me tratasen mal en el pueblo por intentar conseguir pan, pase a un bar a preguntar si habia algun lugar para poder comprarlo, y parece q no les sentó muy bien, aunq cierto es q me contesto, me dijo q a las 10am esta el panadero con una furgoneta en la plaza del pueblo ( nose si seria verdad) eran las 16 y al día siguiente nos íbamos para casa. Entonces pregunté en el restaurante de mi propio alojamiento por si podría comprarle pan, en primer momento la chica muy amable pero de repente se me acercó una persona del propio hotel y empezó a discutir conmigo porq le estaba quitando el trabajo a los demás, tuve q dar mil exicaciones para q me diera el pan, nse todo muy su realista. No volvería, el desfiladero precioso, pero la gente del pueblo era bastante desagradable hacia los turistas.

Kromoly (7/5): Apartamento correcto. Buena opción para visitar la zona. Limpieza mejorable. - Apartamento amplio para 2 personas, y con cama de 180 cm Menaje básico pero suficiente para 2 personas Fin de semana de mucho frío, pero la calefacción funcionaba bien. El apartamento era cálido y estaba caldeado al llegar. El apartamento está en el centro del pueblo, en zona peatonal. Puedes usar el parking de pago o aparcar en alguno de los parkings gratuitos (menos de 5 mn andando) Buena ubicación: a un par de minutos andando del monasterio, y buen emplazamiento para visitar la zona (desfiladero de La Yecla, Covarrubias, San Pedro de Arlanza, cementerio de Sad Hill, zona de Salas de los Infantes, Caleruega...) Al quitar el edredón había algunos pelos por ambos lados de las almohadas. La sensación es que las fundas estaban sin cambiar. Algunos platos tenían manchas. El ascensor se averió 2 veces durante el fin de semana. El agua caliente tarda muuuucho tiempo en salir La bañera es de hidromasaje pero está muy alta respecto al suelo. Al salir hay que tener cuidado, y una persona mayor o con problemas de movilidad tendría dificultades.

Bien situado y con un parking privado de buen acceso y plazas anchas. Los utensilios de cocina escasos y desgastados, algunos sucios. La cisterna necesitaría una reparación, se quedaba descargando cuando le parecía y hacia ruido molesto.

Jude (10/5): Very clean, quiet and superb location. - Exceptionally clean, it is spacious. The bed is firm but comfortable. There is air con and heating available, we didn’t need to use either one. The heater did switch itself on in the night, it would have better if it hadn’t. The sofa bed settee is firm. It’s very quiet, and has great blackout shutters. Its location is superb. Paul (3/5): Ok but would try to find somewhere else - It was ok and allowed us to bring our dog (for a fee) Suite had a sofa which was basically unusable and a broken stool to sit on so had to lie on the bed. Walls were scuffed and the place was in need of redecoration. Kitchen bit was ill equipped and had no kettle. Toaster was rusty. Place was noisy too as rooms are not well sound proofed. Manager was only interested in collecting money from parking and for having a dog. Basically a charmless place.

Kitchen poorly-equipped and not very clean when we arrived. 'Welcome pack' of kitchen cleaning cloths etc didn't appear until the second day. Toaster stopped working - but was replaced promptly.

There are no supermarkets or shops nearby so bring everything you need there are a few local shops in the village but they only sell bread, wine and cheese and tourist trinkets. Also there is an oven in the apartment but no oven gloves which would have been good to have. Also no dish washer tablets so you need to take your own.
Joyce (9/5): Super apartment run by friendly people in a lovely area. - Great location in a beautiful small town. A very good place from which to explore the surrounding area. Great walking and cycling routes all around. Lovely friendly people running the hotel and apartments. The hotel restaurant serves very good food at a reasonable price. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. We paid for a parking space in the garage. The spaces are a good size and you are allocated one in particular for the length of your stay. They have put padding on the walls to enable car doors to be opened easily. Worth paying for as on street parking limited in narrow streets. The pool is very nice, not heated but warm enough in September when we visited. We didn't need them but If we were going to stay longer a washing machine and clothes dryer would be useful If you were thinking of self catering in the apartment be aware that there are no supermarkets in the town, just small shops selling bread, milk, cheese, ham and a few other odds. There was a shop near the apartments that looked as though it might sell a bit more but it was not open whilst we were there.

Raymon (6/5): Don't go if you don't speak spanish and eat meat/fish/dairy, - I could not eat at the hotel because no one spoke either english or french so i could not make them understand what a vegan diet means, this hotel is very rural and even though clients come from all over europe and further afield, they make no effort to be internationally minded. I thought the room was nice, plenty of choice on the tv, the pool was small but often not enough sunbeds at peak times. They did not have the room ready at my requested check in time, when i was given the key 2 hours later the room had not been cleaned nor the bed made, when i pointed this out the host argued! They electronic key would not open the gate to the pool area, again the host argued until he was shown that you had to kick the door in to open it. As i could not find any vegan food at the hotel or in any of the cafes i tried to get my own food to make my own meals but the only shops in the town were small and not vegetarian friendly, i had to drive miles to get what i needed. To sum up, the accomodation was pretty good but the hospitality and customer care were non existant.
