• Amedeo (8/5): Soggiorno di due notti in centro, molto soddisfacente specialmente in relazione al prezzo! - Casa ampia e comoda. Gestore e sua moglie squisiti. Posizione ottima, in area tranquilla. Prezzo eccezionale. In alcuni punti poteva essere più pulita.
• Peter (5/5): The host was friendly and helped us to check in early, which we appreciated. With a thorough clean the home would be a g - The house is a nice traditional Japanese home, easy walking to the landmarks most tourists will probably visit. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the home was disappointing. The toilet had a very strong smell of urine, giving the impression it doesn’t get cleaned, and the rest of the home needs a good clean(lots of very dusty surfaces).

• Joseph (3/5): Not recommanded, really dirty place. - Le prix et l’emplacement sont ok, c’est spacieux. Très très sale, de la poussière accumulée de plusieurs mois dans la salle de bain des poils de rasages sur le mobilier et pas de draps, ou pour moitié des lits des draps déjà utilisés.

• Anna (8/5): - Well located for attractions. It was great to stay in a Japanese house (complete with tatami room). The house is spacious and comfortable. Cooking and washing facilities provided. The owner is lovely! He owns a live house/bar around the corner. We enjoyed live music and snacks on Friday night (kids are ok too). It's a little far from restaurants, but that's a minor issue. The top stair needs to be fixed properly as my son caught his toe on it and ripped up his toenail. The mouldy wash cloths/cleaning cloths in the bathroom should be removed.

• Janique (9/5): Spacious house with nice hosts, with a fun nighttime event at their bar. - The host was very nice and met us upon arrival. He went around the house with us and invited us to his live music bar that was a short walk away! There’s a lot of space in the house, and we got good food recommendations upon asking. The host provided us with a pamphlet full of things to do and see in Kanazawa, as well. There’s a bus stop nearby that allowed us to reach every spot we wanted to visit. The house is a bit far from the train station but it is walkable. The house wasn’t the cleanest (dusty shelves, bugs on the shower ceiling, sink parts scattered) but it wasn’t terribly dirty either.

• Kevin (9/5): A central home from home - We were met at the property which was spacious and comfortable. One room with beds, one traditional Japanese room. There was heating, washing machine and dryer and cooking facilities. Easy walk from station and centre of town and also to castle and historic districts. We also had an entertaining evening at the owner's music bar. A great place to chill for a few days after moving from hotel to hotel. Can't even think of anything to quibble about. Oh, some oil and salt in the kitchen would have been useful.
• Adrian (9/5): Superb - Really nice house. The house is 1000 times better than it looks in the pictures, with a lot of space, two rooms, a superb bathroom and a small patio. The location is perfect, just 10 minutes away walking from each interesting spot in Kanazawa. The host was really welcoming, and he invited us to his music bar. Don't miss it! It was really nice to share some nice time with locals! Honestly, everything was perfect. Specially considering the price/quality ratio.

The host was very helpful and met us at the house to give us a run through of how things worked, which was great as it was our first stop in Japan. Good kitchen and nice to have a laundry A little cold in the bedroom first night but OK second night after putting on heaters early

• Casey (8/5): Very good - Overall it was a really good stay. The host was super friendly and flexible, allowing us to check in early because of our train. Also the host was helpful, giving instructions on where to get groceries and patiently explaining how to use different features of the house, and even dropped umbrellas off for us because it was raining a lot while we were there. The home itself has plenty of space and is overall very comfortable. Our children loved sleeping in the tatami room. The house itself is well located, and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to. It's not too far from the train station and the market as well. So overall we were really happy.

• Michael (9/5): Stay like a local in this charming house. - Great location to walk around Kanazawa. Lots of space inside. Some areas were a little dusty and could have been a little cleaner.
• Fan (2/5): No next time. - no Breakfast The house did not clean as i though, The car park is very far away. The host always urge me the check in time. The host refused to help, such as book a table for dinning. And a camera face the toilet door.

The host also owns a music bar which we were very lucky to watch a famous Japanese pop star and had some nice karage chicken and yaki soba. Location was also excellent and we highly recommend. • Janine (10/5): If you can book this place, do it, a real Japanese experience. - There was lots of rooms. I loved the tatamis room. The kitchen was so convenient and I loved taking my matcha looking at the Japanese garden. Also the washer and dryer was a real lifesaver Nothing. We needed more sheets the first night the host was really quick to answer. The owners wrote to ask how we were doing.

• Serge (9/5): Superb - If you want to live a couple days as a local, this is your choice. The town house was spacious, beds were comfortable (2 European beds + futon for a child), kitchen well equipped. The town house is located in a nice neighbourhood, about 15 min to walk from the Omicho market and Higashi Chaya (geisha+tea) district. Other attraction are further away - 30-40 min to walk. We recommend checking out a seafood department of Kajimart, located inside M’ZA Department Store near the market. Their choice of sushi and fresh seafood (crabs, scallops, fish roe etc) was fantastic at prices much lower than on the Omicho market.

We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Tsudoh Stay Hikoso to anyone looking for a quiet and idyllic area!

• Frangipani86 (9/5): Superb - - how big the rooms were - how cozy the house was (I wish we stayed more nights there :) ) - location is close enough to public transport - there’s many places to eat and convenient stores around the area - easy to get around - the host was able to respond promptly to our messages and was very kind when we asked if we could store the luggage before checking in 😊 - the bath is a plus, it fills on its own and there’s salts salts you can use to make your bath more relaxing - the house has a washing mashing that also dries the clothes (a very convenient and handy amenity to have if during your stay rains and/or it’s cold like during ours 👍) It wasn’t as clean as I thought it would be, although I would stay there again because the positives outweigh the negatives.
