• Harrison (10/5): - This was the most amazing stay I've ever had. The property has the best views, great paid breakfast, parking, privacy, and the staff was helpful when we needed accommodations. My wife and I had rented a very small Toyota and had no issues getting through town or up the hill to the property. Room service is available upon request and the ladies did a great job when we requested cleaning. Beach towels are provided and you can ask for new towels anytime. The staff helped us book a reservation at Treetop Restaurant that's just up the hill. The pool was clean and also had a great view. In the evenings, a polite and friendly security guard either sits in his booth or roams the property. He's always nearby, but didn't come super close to our room or balcony. Wifi was good, but we had some lagging when streaming. A/C runs great. We kept it at 64 F at night. We used the kitchen area a couple times through the week and had no issues. The stove, pans, microwave, fridge/freezer, and sink were very nice. It'll be hard to beat this property on any vacation in the future.

If you’re looking for a calm and relaxing stay in a picturesque place, Samfi Gardens is it! Room was impeccably clean and the pool was well maintained. Staff was very helpful and super kind! Thank you so much for everything. There is also a little store with essentials on the property if you need anything. Attractions such as gorgeous beaches, sulfur springs, botanical gardens, great restaurants, are all about a 10-15 minutes drive away. Staff can even help you make reservations. The roads have been redone recently so the drive there was fine. Would recommend renting a car to get the best experience and visit as much as you can, but taxis are also available.

The staff is so lovely and kind and accommodating, the breakfast is delicious, and the hotel really is a slice of paradise. If we are back in St Lucia we will absolutely be coming back to Samfi Gardens. It’s secluded, by the hotel offers taxi services so you can easily get around if you order a taxi. We loved it!!

• Maureen (10/5): - Lively property with an amazing view of the Pitons. This was a last minute getaway so room options were limited but I choose what was called a garden view room and was pleasantly surprised to find the front patio of the cottage overlooking the Pitons. Property is just outside of town, but it's on a very steep windy hill so walking to and from town would be tough, but doable for the hearty. Beach in the area is so-so, but Anse Chastanet beach is just outside of town, but its down a very rough, rocky, narrow road leaving you holding your breath you don't meet an oncoming car. The beach itself is so-so, sand is darker, and it's on the sister properties of Anse Chastanet and Jade resorts, but the water is absolutely beautiful and clear. I couldn't get out of it. But Samfi Gardens was a peaceful retreat and would stay again and recommend.

Brian and the staff were sooo friendly and I felt so safe and the place was spotless clean I was over impressed with my stay it was above my expectations

The road in to the property was a little bumpy and rocky but still definitely accessible. Good sized room with comfortable bed and nice kitchen area. Roosters were a little noisy! We would stay there again.

• Donald (10/5): - Beautiful, cozy small hotel. Super relaxing. Great staff. Amazing views. Very nice breakfast. You are several minutes drive from town and any area sites. If you don’t have a car, you’ll be using fairly expensive taxis to get around. The staff will arrange them for you. Were we to do it again, I’d probably have the staff arrange a rental car for us. The town is not very touristy. Food is local island style. If you have US dollars and a credit card, you will not need to exchange into local currency. USD are accepted just about everywhere. Euros and GBP, no.

The room was clean, had amenities. The treetop restaurant is an uphill walk but we felt safe at night and enjoyed it

Rental car or suv advised. Not many food options near. We use massy grocery store and to go food from town that we would just re heat for dinner. They do offer a decent pay breakfast.

• laurie (10/5): Breathtakingly beautiful! - This place was off the hook, enchanting! Never had a view like the one we had. Beautiful French doors in the bedroom that open to a balcony overlooking the pitons. It was actually stunning! Unfortunately, we only stayed for one day, would’ve loved to stay longer. The stairs are a little tricky if you have any physical mobility issues, so be sure to ask to get a room more level if that’s the case.

Room was very comfortable, air conditioning worked great. Grounds were beautiful and an abundance of birds and other wildlife nearby. Walking distance to The Beacon for breakfast/lunches and their amazing botanical garden. Taxi service provided by Nicko who was a very safe reliable driver and a great tour guide too. Book airport transfer through the hotel. Would love to return again in future.

Bryan the (amazing) security guard is extremely knowledgeable of the local area and a fantastic guy to talk to, overall the views are incredible, it’s clean and has the most wonderful staff. They have breakfast but no dinner/lunch options, so be prepared to bring groceries or to drive to a restaurant. :)

The room was fully stocked and clean and beds super comfy. The view was spectacular and the pool had an amazing view as well. You can use the pool whenever you would like and the overall experience was outstanding. I would highly recommend this over the high end resorts for your overall budget and experience.

Super clean, comfortable, incredibly views, perfectly kept and manicured. The only upgrade would be an all inclusive by the beach/water. We rented a car so getting around was easy and finding places to eat too. Saint Lucia overall is super safe, the flora and the fauna are unmatched. I am Caribbean born and raised, if you want the perfect romantic retreat overlooking the Pitons or just a place with for peace and quiet look no further. I will always come back to Samfi. The staff is also the best, always available and looking out for your needs.

The road to the hotel is very rough, but the rough part is short. No restaurant on property, but they offer breakfast, that you need to order the day before. Breakfast was excellent and not too expensive. Bring earplugs, singing frogs from 6:30PM to 5:30AM every night. Would definitely stay there again.

• SHALANDA (10/5): - Beautiful and tranquil. The only drawback is no on site dining. They have a few snacks and beverages for sale but no food. The Treetop Restaurant is up the hill from the property. I would definitely recommend a sunset dinner but please make reservations in advance. All in all i would definitely recommend this property.
• Toshe (10/5): - Samfi is truly very beautiful and the views you get of the Pitons from here when you wake up each day are breathtaking. That alone is enough reason to book a stay here. The breakfast is excellent and the staff is extremely friendly. It is very easy to arrange for taxi's from the resort and they will assist you with it so you don't have to walk everywhere if you don't want to. The hill is a pretty good workout! There are a fair amount of stairs around the resort depending on your room so if there is anything you have to physically consider, you may want to specifically request a room that is on one of the upper levels closer to the deck. Lastly, they don't serve lunch or dinner so just be mindful of making sure you are planning ahead when it comes to food. We planned dinner every day except for the day we landed and had to think of a last-minute option to eat that evening. Luckily, there was a place in town that delivered. But even with that, they aren't open very late. We made sure to stock our room full of snacks just in case we got hungry after 9pm. Overall, this is an amazing place to stay. Every attraction we did in Soufriere was only minutes away. It was so convenient and a perfect place to spend our vacation.

The property is very clean, surrounded by mango trees, and with one of the best views to the Pitons and the volcano’s caldera. They have a delicious and generous breakfast to prepare you for your daily excursions. And the proximity to all of the main attractions was ideal (ie Volcano, Asne Chastenet Beach, Botantical Gardens, etc…). Highly recommend and look forward to returning!

• Sandra (10/5): - My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary in St Lucia, staying at Samfi Gardens, and could not have been happier or more delighted! While the drive up, (on the wrong side for us Canadians) was a tiny bit challenging, and you need to take care on the road heading into the property, the stunning view of the Pitons once there is worth it!! Add to that the fact that the staff are absolutely lovely and very kind, that there are wonderful activities to enjoy nearby, and that Samfi Gardens itself is a peaceful haven, and you have the recipe for a wonderful vacation. We were so grateful to spend time in beautiful St Lucia at Samfi Gardens, and hope to return!!

• Diana (10/5): - It is not safe to walk the main roads in St Lucia- no sidewalks and cars fly around blind hairpin turns. Roads are poor leading to property though passable if driving slow (as they are in lots of areas in St Lucia). Shop before coming to use the full kitchen. Parking is available on the property.

• AJA (10/5): - What a lovely time we had… Everything was just as stated and pictured. I can’t say enough about how wonderful the view was from our room. It was just the getaway we needed to rest and rejuvenate. Bed was great-best sleep I’ve had in months. The staff here is phenomenal from the gentleman driver who picked us up, Raheem, to the sweet young lady Feresia and other ladies in the office who catered to our every need. Depending on your intentions for your vacation you may want to rent a car. The staff at Samfi helped up rent a car from Cool Breeze rentals with no problem. They delivered the car to us and we were able to drop it back off at the airport as we were leaving. Driving is on the other side of the road and may take getting used to if you haven’t done it before. We went up to Castries for great restaurants and a few beaches. Closer to Samfi is Fedo’s - great chicken roti. Overall we were extremely pleased and grateful to the staff for making us so comfortable.

The entire staff was incredible, everyone bent over backwards to make sure our stay was perfect. The room was exactly as depicted in the pictures and fit our needs perfectly. Samfi Gardens has the most spectacular view on the island, better then the much more expensive hotels and is close to most of the must see attractions. We could not be happier with our decision to stay at Samfi Gardens.

• Ashley Lynne (10/5): - My husband and I traveled all around St. Lucia in a rental car and visited MANY all-inclusive resorts. Not a single one comes close to the view you get at Samfi Gardens. We absolutely loved it. We loved having a room with a kitchenette, a/c, a television to stream on, great WiFi connection, and a balcony with a view. You are also within walking distance of one of the BEST restaurants on the island (Tree Top). We spent an entire week at Samfi. The workers are so kind and so happy to help, the pool was perfect to cool off in, and the tree frogs can lull you to sleep every night. We cannot say enough good things about Samfi. Hope to return soon!

Got it a little late and was greeted at the entrance to the property by their night security who made sure we had found the right place. Entry road is a bit bumpy but not usually for St Lucia. Recommend for a peaceful stay with an awesome view of the Pitons and Soufriere.

• Brian (10/5): The Best View on St. Lucia - We stayed at Samfi Gardens for 5 nights in May. The view is incredible!! We had a car rental and drove around most of the island and couldn't see a better location. We were a very short drive to town, to beaches, to our Piton hike and other attractions. In addition you could walk to at least 2 restaurants. The beds were comfortable, the AC worked amazing and the pool was so great to have after a big hike. We were in room 7 which had a great unobstructed view of the Pitons and town. The only issue was the fridge made a "bang" sound whenever it turned on (every hour). I saw a review from a couple years ago where someone said the same thing. They really need to get that fixed. I haven't let this affect my rating because everything else was so great.
• Mary (8/5): Postcard Views - Samfi Gardens was a lovely little find in the mountains of Soufriere. We spent the last two days of our St. Lucia vacation here to get a different perspective of the island and to be closer to the airport. We had stayed at Bay Gardens Beach Resort for a week and took a catamaran to Soufriere with our luggage to stay 2 nights at Samfi Gardens. The views are spectacular as mentioned in all the reviews. We had the honeymoon suite since we were celebrating our 40th year anniversary. The balcony overlooked the Piton and the water and was private. The room was lovely with a small kitchenette that had a small refrigerator and a propane gas stove. A lovely little table was in the room for small meals. The pool on property was small, cold and not immaculate but had a great view. If you want to hike or enjoy the landscape this was a good spot. Things that would be helpful for travelers to know would be that the restaurants in town you will need a cab to get to unless you want to make a long journey by foot. There are two restaurants on the mountain, one very very cool called the Treehouse--you must secure a reservation and the Beacon with amazing views and good food but you need CASH as they do not accept credit cards.
• Martin (10/5): - Stunningly beautiful setting and the local beaches are good. The access to plant life, the forest etc. is very good and staff at Samfi can recommend good guides. Simple accommodation, not too expensive, could keep cool. Friendly, helpful staff. Very comfortable bed. Kitchenette was useful though (as usual) the knives could have been sharper. Cheering tree frogs. Slightly pesky cats. Close to Treetops Restaurant and the Beacon Cafe. Possible to walk into Soufriere but never walked back, partly because our neighbours and people in the area kept giving us rides--much appreciated. Do need a ride up the hill from Soufriere. It would have been useful if the Samfi shop had some bread and milk to get us started. Dripping hot tap needs fixing and a small bedside table on both sides of bed would be an improvement. Pool small but perfectly formed.

Having the pool was great as well as ability to cook meals. The air conditioner was well powered. The staff were friendly. Would easily recommend this accommodation!

• Christopher (10/5): - The view is excellent (and Room 5’s is even better than the one from the pool). Parking isn’t easy but is doable. There is no sign at the road; turn at the Colombette Drive sign.
• William (10/5): - Rooms were clean and attractive, the bed was comfortable enough and the kitchen area was well supplied and worked as it should. By far the selling point is the view from the balcony over Soufriere. It is stunning. The hotel is farther from town than can be easily walked (and I walk alot) but this wasn't a problem for us as we rented a car. There is no restaurant on site so you'll want to go to a grocery store and stock up. There is a restaurant that does breakfast and lunch about 10 minutes walk up the hill though. Staff are friendly and will help you book taxis, guides for the walking trails, etc. If i had one comment for the owners it's that we had a really tough time getting up to date information about local activities (how much they cost, when are they open, do we need a guide? The information on the internet was usually badly outdated and the concierge often couldn't answer our questions). That said, i would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. We really enjoyed it.
• Heather (10/5): - We loved the quiet and the stunning view. With only 8 rooms, it seemed very special. We got to know another couple staying there and ate with them one night which was wonderful.
• Stephan (10/5): - Stunning view and beautiful rooms in a lush mountainous rainforest environment. Very ecological-minded hotel with solar thermal heaters. This also means that sometimes they will run out of hot water, especially in the morning. There are beautiful nature sounds from the surrounding ecosystem. The windows have wooden shutters which means you will hear people talking and other sounds as there is no sound barrier.

• Jessica (8/5): - This is an absolutely charming property. It was a bit hard to find and there is limited parking but very quiet ,clean and has a spectacular view. The pool is dip in only and there is no restaurant on site..but if peace and quiet is what you desire..this is The place!!
• Diego M (8/5): - Property is nicely located in the Soufriere area. If you like snorkeling, beach, hiking …outdoor activities, then this is the spot. You are about 10-15 minutes away from everything, supermarket, gas station, banking, restaurants and town. The view from the property is among the best you can find in St. Lucia. Samfi Gardens is a great place for people who like their independence, want to discover St. Lucia on their own, and don’t want to be trapped in a resort. Make sure you rent a car if you are planning to stay at Samfi Gardens.

• laurelli (8/5): - This is a beautiful place to stay the views are breathtakingly beautiful! My only suggestion is that the add some sort of dining options and a bar. Sometimes you just want to lounge by the pool and have a drink or a burger without having to get in your car or call a taxi to go into town. The staff is excellent very courteous and friendly.

• Michelle (10/5): - We extended our stay in St Lucia for one night. Samfi Gardena was a cherry on top of our cake.. Beautiful scenery of the Bay and Pitons. Felt like a Secret hideaway feel. The kitchenette helped us to feel at home.
