- TAKATO (6/5): - 日本人です。3泊しました。少し奥まったところにホテルがあり、最初は少しわかりにくいですが、通りに面していないだけあって静かです。それでいてタメル地区の中心部にホテルがあるため、観光やショッピングには最適です。ただ、施設の清潔感はいまいちです。神経質な方は避けた方が良いかもしれません。シーツや枕の清潔感に不安を感じるため、下に敷けるバスタオルのようなものがあると安心して寝られるかもしれません。シャワーについては水とお湯の２つのコックがあり、お湯の方を少々長めに水を出していると少々ぬるい水が出せます。冷水と思うとマシです。ホテルのWi-Fiは入り口の掲示板にパスワードが書かれており、階層ごとにルーターが分かれています。一時的にWi-Fiがつながらないタイミングがありましたが、スタッフの方にお話ししたところ真摯に対応いただきすぐに解決できました。清潔感に少々難がありますが、立地や必要最低限の設備が備わっており、かなり安い値段でこの感じなら及第点でしょう。 ただ、洗濯物を洗えるランドリーが欲しかったです。またサービスはほとんどないので、その辺も気にされない方は良いかと思います。 Google マップの口コミほどひどいとは思いませんでした。

- Charles (4/5): - I'm giving the location 5 stars because it's in the middle of Thamel, which is the tourist centre in a way. But hindsight, I do prefer to stay away from this centre most of the time. But that's a topic on its own. The positive part of the location is that's it at the end of an alley, so it's quite calm. However it can happen that someone in the hallway is banging on your neighbours door at 7 am, unable to wake them up... Very annoying! It's a budget hotel, that's for sure. But 1. the lock on the door gives you 0 sense of security 2. The sheets and walls are very stained 3. The floor is deteriorating 4. The mattresses are truly HORRIBLE! The bathroom is basic but felt clean. Staff is helpful but sticks to the basics. That's ok.

- 894ayatn (2/5): A bug-infested hotel! - The worst experience ever, the hotel is infested with insects, I reached late so I slept and closed the toilet door, when I woke up, I opened the door and hives of insects flied all over the place, I called room service they said they would call pest control then the receptionist offered to give me another room, I stayed there for one night, I found a bug bite in the morning, I didn't know what it was, then the next morning I woke up with so many itchy bites all over my body! I told the receptionist but they did nothing and I had to leave losing the money I paid for the rest of the nights I paid and above all, they had the audacity to ask me for extra money for washing my clothes, which I did pay and left!! Worst place ever, do not even think of booking there if you plan on having a safe and nice trip!

- grishmar2023 (2/5): Just dirty and poor management - The rooms were not how the pictures were like at all. I know the pictures shown will not be 100% same yes but having stain on the bed on the walls and just overall dusty is not it. Just find some place else l. Such a bad experience .
- 279garimar (2/5): THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVERY HAD!!!!! DON'T EVER COME HERE!!! - When I tell y'all that we were scammed, WE WERE SCAMMED!! we were promised a 3BHK for one night here and put a deposit down 2 WEEKS earlier and then we were put in a 2BHK due to their management issues. They didn't even think to inform us about this issue as when we had called to just reconfirm our stay it is THEN only it come to their mind to tell us that the apartment we were supposed to stay in was not available as the previous customers have took the key and left so there was nothing they can do. We had informed them that we would be there at 4pm and we had called them at 1:30pm to reconfirm. This just left me baffled as this issue really did not cross their mind ONCE and they didn't even have the courtesy to even text. So the guy we talked to on the phone was not there (the manager) there was a lady there and we had asked her about what was going on with the 3BHK we had booked weeks ago (there is only one 3BHK in this place) AND here is where we find out that the people staying in the 3BHK were staying there long-term. Again we were left baffled as we just GOT LIED TO DUE TO POOR MANAGEMENT ISSUES AND PROBLEMS IN THEIR SIDE NOT THE CUSTOMERS. We had NO BACKUP PLAN since we had made a deposit already 2 weeks already and on top of that it was a Friday so there were no other place would be available. There were Stains all over the bed sheets and when we complained about it then they have the audacity to say that they were just chemicals from ironing like that was any better. So the price of 3BHK was Rs .7,500 for a night. When we got downgraded instead of charging us the price for the 2BHK which is 6,500 they charged us 7,000 almost the full price when causing us such inconvenience and lying to us on top of that. To summarize this experience has left me angered, disappointed, annoyed, irritated and sad. This was such a bad experience I would not even wish this upon my worst enemy. It SUCKED. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONEEEE!!!!

- Daila (10/5): Kindhearted people - My stay at Kathmandu Nomad Hotel has been excellent. I am not too sure how long I've stayed in the end, but I believe it has been 2 months in total. I've been hosted well by the friendly staff and especially Ishwor has been one to check in on me from time to time. Since I stayed for so long, the cleaning of the room was done upon request by me, not always did I have a feeling it was cleaned well afterwards; but truth be told, the hospitality outweighed this a lot more for me. The room was big with a large window and a private bathroom. At night it can be a little noisy since it is in the heart of Thamel, at a back alley of Narsingh Chok. Narsingh Chok is close to where a lot of bars and such are; however, if you're going to be staying anywhere in Thamel, it will be noisy anyway. For sensitive ears I'd recommend just to bring some ear plugs and you'll be fine. I can recommend Kathmandu Nomad Hotel for a temporarily stay like mine.

- AnniesungChan (8/5): I will come back to the Kathmandu Nomad hotel when I come back to visit Kathmandu. - This hotel is located in Thamel alley, 70 meters from Thamel exciting street, you can see this hotel. It is cute, the staff is friendly, enthusiastic and very kind. I appreciate them. They support very well and ardently. The room price of this hotel is cheap, it is located in the center of Kathmandu, from here you will easily and conveniently get to other points of Kathmandu. I will come back to this hotel when I come back to visit Kathmandu. I have been in Kathmandu 2 times and I will come back to this lovely city again.

- jenniferdohrn (10/5): A delightful surprise - My colleague and I have been in Kathmandu before and decided to try a new place. Nomad Hotel will be the one we stay at whenever we visit there. The staff is impeccably gracious, helpful, friendly, and seems to know just what you want before you even ask. Breakfasts are a treat, shops and busy downtown Kathmandu is just outside the door. Hotel lobby, eating area, and rooms are tasteful, super clean, and comfortable. When you stay, make sure to visit Ali at the jewelry store right outside Nomad for beautiful gemstones.

- ellierosetravels (10/5): Fantastic value for money - I've stayed here a couple of times now and it's always good. Rooms are lovely, clean and comfy beds. Wifi works well and the front desk staff are super nice. Location is about as central in Thamel as you can get. The upper rooms with balcony are beautiful and they even have apartments. Highly recommended for solo, couples and groups that want high value for money.
- ashfairfield (10/5): Great room, Great staff, Great price - Having stayed in Nepal for a few months and always looking for affordable accommodation we were unsure if to take a hotel or not. When we stayed here we were so happy we did! We always had hot water and the internet was great. The room was spacious and the bed was VERY comfortable!!! So many times in Nepal we found ourselves on a bed that felt like a piece of wood. Not here they have proper beds with proper mattresses. The room was quiet despite being in the middle of the city. They have a nice little restaurant attached which easy especially if you just want a quiet night in. The location couldn't be better!! It is literally in the heart of Tamil and you can walk to sooo many restaurants, bars and clubs. It is a great place to stay for going out and seeing the city. Lastly the staff... there are awesome. Every morning and every night we were greeted with big smiles from the team there and anything we needed they dealt with immediately. Great stay, especially for the price. Very recommended.

TV and aircon both working well . its near the trekking shops so if you are going trekking its easy to do shopping . restaurant of the hotel also served the good breakfast and best tea .staff was helpful .
- 885niranjand (10/5): Recommended hotel - I stayed at this place for a couple week. During my stay everything was good. Hot shower, Internet, foods of restaurants. Best part is staff. So helpful and provide every information about travelling in Nepal. Location is perfect if you are looking to hookup in walking street, bar, club and shopping.
- Chin Hooi (2/5): Nightmare! - I was unable to enjoy my stay in this hotel. They placed me on the 4th floor and the hotel room was out of electricity throughout my whole stay and the worst part, when I wake up in the morning there isn't water supplier for me to refresh! I'm still in a project in Kathmandu for a few months but I'm sure I would not come back to this hotel again!
- bubbatis (6/5): staff very good - The staff was very good to work with. The restaurant had very good food for a good price. The bed I had was much too hard. Actually, I was in 3 rooms. The first night I arrived late and they put me in a double room. That bed was comfortable. They then moved me to a single room and the bed in that room was OK, but there was no glass in the window by the bed and so the room was very noisy. Finally, I was moved to the room with the hard bed. That room was quiet, but the bed was uncomfortably hard.

- c0nstantn (8/5): Spacious and comfortable. - Kathmandu is a hive of activity almost 24 hours, not for the faint hearted. Finding a good hotel is not really a problem especially in the Thamel area, spoilt with choice.. The Nomad hotel is situated in a quiet cul de sac and is relatively quiet compared to many in Thamel. They were waiting for us for over 2 hours at the airport as they offer airport pick ups for the same price as anyone, still smiling they transported us through the sea of chaos to the hotel. We chose a room with a balcony and it did not disappoint. Spacious and clean with bathroom and shower it was all we needed really. There little restaurant is really quiet and the food is great. The staff is very friendly and speak great English and very helpful. All in all a good option to explore the chaotic capitol.,

- mareee91 (4/5): Will not be staying again - Honestly the only reason I have to give this place a bad review is because of what happened when we first arrived- bear in mind we had this hotel booked more than a week before we flew to Nepal. My partner arrived first and was told that the room wasn't available because the other people in the room wanted to extend- even though they knew we had booked it! Who does that! It would be laughable only that the hotel they put him in for that night was really bad!! And we still had to pay for a full 4 nights, even though we only stayed 3 nights there because of them! We didnt even get an apology or any kind of gesture for the inconvenience! Also the laundry there is a rip off- more than double the price of every other place!

- Verified traveler (2/5): Never book this hotel - Arrived at hotel after long flight only to be told, oh we missed your reservation & by the time we found it we don’t have any rooms. Was made to walk down dark ally’s to a hotel that was completely empty & shown to a horrible room where the hot water didn’t work. I ended up having to pay for another hotel. Don’t ever waste your time booking this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very pleasant place to stay - Great hotel including friendly service, beautiful interior, and outdoor spaces. Had booked a room with a balcony that was no longer available when I checked in but it didn't even matter because there were several terraces and a rooftop deck. The room itself was quite comfortable with plenty of blankets, hot water in the shower, and even a kettle. I had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both meals were delicious. The location is ideal- very close to everything in Thamel, but down a small side street away from the bustle. I will book again when in Kathmandu.

Very cold room (it is January, so it isn't the hotel's fault), no hot water at all (no sunshine for solar heat, no back-up water heater). One dirty blanket for the bed. I slept in my goose-down parka.
- Aura (10/5): Tashi Dhele is a hidden gem in Thamel! - This hotel is perfectly located and in a very quiet part of Thamel. Other hotels may offer a bit more, but they can't come close. The staff are amazing! Really. I would highly suggest booking your stay here.
