Camper725065 (10/5): Charming spacious inn - Charming hotel with spacious rooms and friendly staff. We booked2 rooms - a standard room for our daughter and the Logger Baron suite for my husband and I. The 2 rooms together cost only a little more than a it did to have us all together with a twin bed for our daughter at Hampton inn on our next stop. And OMG the logger baron suite. It was almost as big as my first apartment! We had dinner at Tracy’s both nights and really enjoyed it. If I am ever in Munising again, I will be back to the Roam Inn.
Colin (10/5): THE place to stay in Munising. - This seems like *the* place to stay in Munising. Walking distance (or a 2 min drive) from town. Breakfast is just what you need. The staff is as kind as can be. And the best restaurant in town is there: Tracey's.

Walking distance to downtown, shops, restaurants, sightseeing. Wish I had more than one night here and will definitely return for an extended stay.

thomasbG3371TG (10/5): I rarely post reviews - I post maybe one review a year. I do so only when one of two things happens. 1) A business pisses me off so bad that I need to vent to recover from gross incompetence. Or 2) a business far exceeds my expectations. #2 applies with the Roam Inn. I had seen several recommendations on the Upper Peninsula Travel Facebook page and we wanted to spend one night in Munising on our tour of the U.P., so I decided to book a night. Everything was to my expectations except for two things that exceeded expectations. First, the room was meticulously clean, as if a deep clean and detailing had been done to the 2 rooms and bathroom in the suite. Second, my old body rarely gets a good night’s sleep away from my luxurious bed at home. I expect to wake up with some stiffness when sleeping elsewhere. When I got in bed, my back was still sore from the previous night in a different hotel. But when I woke up the next morning, no soreness! The Roam Inn will be our go-to lodging in the area and I’ll highly recommend it to everyone.

It was so nice to be able to relax after our busy days in the living room, and to able to close the doors to the bedroom to allow naps for the tired spouse! The bedding was amazing - I want to buy it for my home! The Pictured Rocks canvases on the walls in the rooms and hallways were stunning. It truly makes us want to explore the area in more depth to go see where they were taken. I am betting that when Tracey's restaurant is open, it is a real plus to the hotel.

606hiket (10/5): EXCELLENT U.P. HOTEL - Excellent 5 stars. You never know what your going to get in a hotel when you are in the Upper Peninsula, this exceeded my expectations. It was clean room, well stocked, comfy pillows, even the pull out couch bed was comfortable (for a pull out couch bed lol). The location was perfect for getting around Munising easily and the parking lot was well plowed (for as much snow as they have to deal with).

Inspire17292292893 (10/5): Unique and Wonderful - Easy to find, elegant atmosphere, beautifully remodeled, very clean, great staff, no problems whatsoever. Loved that there was a restaurant and bar onsite. While not a full, hot breakfast, items were delicious! We had the best gourmet stuffed muffins! The BEST lodging available in the area, hands down.

Wander587840 (10/5): Exceptional! - We had the most wonderful stay at Roam Inn! It reminded us of a quintessential boutique hotel - charming, quaint, cozy, and beautifully decorated. Our room had everything we needed and the king-sized bed was soooo comfortable. The only thing we missed was experiencing Tracey's Restaurant which was closed for the season. All the more reason for us to return to this lovely hotel!

Destination722389 (10/5): Girls’ trip - Very welcoming in every way. The place was very clean which is important for me. The bed was comfortable, the entire area is amazing, and we felt safe. The breakfast that was offered in the morning was fresh, plenty of coffee and tea all day. Tracy’s was excellent, the meal and the drinks. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Sarah (9/5): - Beautiful Inn! The bedrooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable beds and clean. This doesn’t feel like a regular hotel in any way. The coffee in the morning with the best muffin I had was breakfast. We enjoyed a romantic getaway at Roam Inn and exploring all the waterfalls in the area. We will be back!

They have a great restaurant on site, and a nice bar. Nick and Brittany at the bar were especially friendly and nice. If I come back to Munising, this is where I'll be staying.

lukesT1054KW (10/5): A great place to stay - This is a great place to stay in the Munising area. The front desk attendant was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The place felt very new, possibly recently renovated. There was a small breakfast nook with cereals and pastries in the morning which I didn’t realize so it felt like a bonus. I think the only negative thing I would say is the shower was kind of small and didn’t have any shelves for soaps/shampoo. Not a big deal at all in my book though. Will definitely stay here again very happy overall.

It was so warm and welcoming we hung out in our room for the evening. Perfect location. Reminded me of a B and B with all the hotel amenities.

lynn512 (10/5): Loved this Inn - Roam Inn was a wonderful place to stay. We stayed 2 nights while we explored Pictured Rocks National Park. The Inn is beautifully appointed and the designer paid much attention to every detail. We had a suite which was very spacious and comfortable. Their system for breakfast worked very well. We ate dinner at Tracy's one night, and the food was very good, albeit a bit on the expensive side. We would not hesitate to return should we go back to the area.

Matthew (10/5): Overall it’s my favorite hotel in the area. It is expensive, but it is clean and convenient and the restaurant in the ho - Pretty good location, able to walk the town. I like that it’s a smaller hotel, so you won’t be running into crowds and for the most part it’s pretty quiet. The walls between the bedrooms are paper thin. You can hear the conversations in the bedroom next to you, even if they aren’t loud. If they’d soundproof the walls a bit more, I think the hotel would be perfect.

Amy (8/5): - Overall we really enjoyed our two-night stay at the hotel. The room was spotless and the bed linens were exquisite. The complimentary water and continental breakfast were a plus. On the improvement side, our room floor was a little slanted, the bath mirror was so low that both my husband and I couldn’t see without stooping down and the king bed itself had low sagging sides. At first I loved the pillows but they ended up being a little over stuffed and I had a bit of a neck ache in the morning. The restaurant was excellent and we liked the common areas. The location was good too. Overall very nice place!

L6597YNpatrickm (10/5): Great find! - I started looking for hotels in Munising kinda late so not much was available I usually like boutique hotels or cabins. The Roam Inn did not disappoint! The room was very nice and roomy. We had a living room with a separate bedroom. Both were a nice size and very comfortable. They do not offer a breakfast more of morning snacks such as yogurt, boiled eggs bread items. We went to the grocery store and purchased frozen breakfast sandwiches and heated them up in the microwave in the breakfast room. Along with their items we had a filling breakfast and ready for our day The fridge in the room was nice to have. The location was good, near town and not too far a drive from the pictured rocks. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Much better than a chain hotel

Nicole (6/5): - Avoid room 18. It is one of the most expensive and advertised as ‘peace and quiet’ yet neither exists! It is above the restaurant and you will hear every movement and conversation as if they were in the room. View is also very disappointing.

Annele (6/5): Small and basic, nice linens. - Very small room with a view of a wooden wall, and very expensive for a random Tuesday after Labor Day at $318/ night. Bathroom was decent but zero counter space to put anything. Only selected it because of the location near Pictured Rocks and stellar reviews, but after staying there the reviews make zero sense to us. It was basic at best, they did have nice bed and bath linens but that would be the highlight and did not justify the $318 rate. Friends stayed at Pictured Rocks Inn and Suites which were much bigger, just as clean with a better view for way less.

We stayed Sunday-Monday nights at the start of the slower season, so the restaurant wasn’t open, but I look forward to coming back and staying when it is. Super clean, great amenities, cute room, easy check in and parking, and close to everything Munising!
Susan (10/5): We very much enjoyed our stay at Roam Inn. - Our room was fantastic! All of the finishing touches were top notch. Everything is first quality. The sheets and towels were luxurious. The room was very clean. We loved having the sitting room to relax and watch a little television in the evening. It is close to Pictured Rocks and other fun hiking to see waterfalls.

Very walkable small town.. with lots of bars and restaurants and boat tours etc. Staff was excellent and the attached restaurant ( open for dinner) was first class and beautiful gourmet food. Would go back for sure. Bonus light breakfast and snacks:) No dresser in our room but they did give us extra hangers.

James (10/5): Super stopover along the UP! - Roam Inn is kind of an unexpected treasure! I was booking it for the convenience and the fact that it has a restaurant, and it turns out to to be a great place! Relatively small number of rooms (18), very comfortable, with great little touches and appointments throughout. Having Tracey's Restaurant on the premises, and a very good one at that, is a real plus. Plenty of parking. Lighthouse just down the block. Close to main part of town. Right off a UP thoroughfare (Route 28). So glad we discovered this place - very good place to stay! Just a bit underwhelmed by the breakfast room - an interior room with no windows, breakfast selections were adequate. Not sure of who actually owns the restaurant, perhaps Roam Inn could look into serving breakfast in Tracey's. Anyhow, not a real problem or downside, it just is an area that could be improved.

Nicole (6/5): - It’s definitely a nice resort near everything but only issue I had was the restaurant below the rooms is very loud from 5pm to 9pm and hard to relax at that time due loudness from people and there should be a parking for guest only because during dinner rush from 5pm to 9pm you have no where to park if you leave and come back to resort,that was frustrating during stay.

Room 3 is right next to the exit door outside. It was very loud when people entered late at night. Most of the rooms are in the back of the property so there is no view of the lake. Just fyi.
H9379BNmatts (10/5): Best hotel in the area - I’ve come to Munising twice now, and both times I decided to stay here. Rooms are nice, it’s close to all the restaurants so you can walk to them if you don’t feel like driving. They also have a good restaurant in the hotel if you don’t feel like venturing out for dinner. Staff is friendly, the staff at Tracys is great as well. Not sure if you’ll find a better hotel in the area, it only has maybe 16 rooms so there isn’t a lot of foot traffic so it’s pretty quiet. Most likely will stay here again if I do come out to munising. I really enjoyed both my stays at this hotel.

Erin (4/5): Nice view but lacking privacy - Location is nice for visiting places around Munising. There is a restaurant on site that is below the rooms that have a view of the water. They are also the most expensive rooms. To get to your room, you have to walk through tables of people dining when open. The restaurant is very loud for the room above it. The balcony is over outdoor seating for the restaurant, which is noisy with no privacy. The restaurant appears popular, so it is quite busy until closing at 10pm. Great for them, not for guests.
