• Peggy (7/5): - It's a nice peaceful place to stay. The permanent residence are friendly. The bathroom needs repairs, the shower waste trap hasn't been cleaned and was clogged with hair and sludge. The key only unlocked the main door, so unable to open the French doors. The unit was supposed to be serviced, but a staff member dropped off a rubbish bag of clean towels, face cloths and tea towels, on the door step and didn't pick up the used items until late afternoon the next day.

I usually LOVE to give good reviews but the point of staying there was a good night's sleep..I didn't like the Beds. My daughter did so I guess its a personal opinion..

• sharon (9/5): - Really good communal facilities. High especially appreciated the drying room after arriving wet on my bike. Great kitchen and relaxing areas, laundry in bathrooms. Cabins are very small and basic but perfectly fine for my use, a quick overnight

• Anonymous (9/5): - I booked a 1 bdrm studio - it was very cosy, clean & comfy. The bed was fantastic, TV worked fine. Location means it was very quiet & peaceful. Great value for money. Do need a car to get to & from town, bit far to walk

A child always hanging around outside the ladies toilet shower block. When I put my bag in the shower he was looking in it.

• Elizabeth (8/5): I was pretty happy staying there, I'll definitely come back - in a 1-2 bedroom cabin - Location was perfect for what I needed. Excellent facilities. Staff were very friendly and observant. The only issues were the lack of power outlets in the A frame cabin, you had to either use a cup or go outside to fill the kettle, and there was no information in the cabin as to where things are around the grounds.

• Jessica (10/5): - Staff 100/10. Best accommodation service I've had in NZ. Cabin was perfect for a family. Heaps of space and plenty of beds. Room was exceptionally clean! Pool was warm and had a few toys to play with. Located not far from town, so you get quiet and convince. 100% would recommend to anyone. We have already planned out next trip back!

How close 1 of the units was. Guy and his mate were having a couple drinks but unfortunately it is right by the kids bedroom and toilet. Sounded like they were inside with us.

Floor was barely vacuumed they had not moved anything. Went to the communal kitchen and opened the microwave and bugs flew out. Sheets were stained however I think they were washed. Also having the switch board 3cm above your head at night is a bit interesting.

• Tharon (7/5): Quick stopover on way to event. - Had towels and studio was away from main road so no noise and having towels and other basics like tea, coffee, milk was great as we were travelling light. The studio we were suppose to be in wasn't cleaned yet when we arrived (around 4pm) and reception didn't know. Had to go back to office to say and were given another unit. Property overall looks a bit run down. Unit numbers faded, some missing lettering. Weeds growing between pavers, gras is so long and dry, it's seeding, could do with better upkeep outside of units and new lettering.

• Brendan (5/5): DO NOT STAY HERE!! - The cabin was equipped with what was needed. It had ample space. Flexible with availability. We checked in a day late, due to severe weather where we were coming from, and stayed a day later, as we had already paid for 4 nights. Running out of hot water for, $160p/n this shouldn't happen. As a family of 4, having roughly 5-10min showers each. The staff was rude upon checking in. Referred to my father whom was staying in another cabin as "my fat mate"! The parks facilities were run down, and out of order, the pool was slush, the playground was not well maintained and my kids did not want play on it. The kitchen had no equipment to use to cook in or with, the microwave was rusted out and disgusting. The whole park was very run down and absolutely not worth the amount we paid! Felt very ripped off!!

During my first encounter with the man at the office he told me he was 'the town's racist'. I thought this was a disgusting piece of information to share with me.

• Tasha (6/5): Pleasant - It was not to far away from the town, awesome to have a playground right outside the door. Great wee spot. The staff seemed very nice. The cabin was very warm, beds were comfortable. There was a bit of mould on the curtians right beside the beds, the pool was closed, and that was a deciding factor when booking. And the power in the cabin we booked kepted tripping, couldn't even boil the jug, there was also no hot water in the shower in our cabin. Some random person knocked on our door at 4.45am and woke and scared my young children

• Green (7/5): Good - Cute cabin which although very old would be great in the summer. Distance from airport and Rangiora great. We arrived at 5.30pm and the heat pump took till 11pm to take the chill of the air and that was with bathroom and single bedroom door closed and even then I went to bed dressed to stay warm. There was an electric blanket on the double bed but not the single I was in and I did politely tell the manager that when freezing temperatures it would be good to turn on heat pumps if the rooms already paid for as ours was this advice wasn't appreciated so not likely to stay again ( alot of money for a cold room)

• Simon (8/5): Very good - Good overnight place to stay with good kitchen facilities and multiple showers available, We stayed in a tent so didn't see what the other accomodation options were. Cheap price for a tent site for 2 people overnight Quite a small area to pitch a tent and partly rocky ground as not much grass. We arrived late in the evening so not sure if there was an alternate tent site. TV channels glitching but this may of been because of the recent satelite upgrade?
