- Christine (10/5): My stay at Villa Rioddi was a joy from beginning to end. - Breakfast was outstanding both in quality and ambiance...kudos to the chefs! Marvelous views from windows...terrific shower and lighting in the bathroom...good bed and excellent pillows (important)! Host gingerly carried my heavy luggage up And down steep stairs, and loaded everything into my car. Lucca took the time to set my GPS system up in my car...AND - if that weren't enough, he delivered a delicious Birthday cake (with a lit candle) to my room accompanied by a Birthday song! Best Birthday surprise I ever had 😀

Luca rendkívül segítőkész, tökéletes útikalaúzt biztosít már érkezéskor a helyi látványosságok felfedezéséhez a legszebb látnivalókkal és azokhoz legközelebbi parkolókkal egyaránt. Nagyon jól éreztük magunkat, a reggeli is bőséges volt, még vissza fogunk ide jönni.

- Andrea (9/5): - Der Besitzer hat viele gute Touren-Tipps gegeben. Das Frühstück war fantastisch und jeden Tag neue Spezialitäten. Zimmer waren sehr sauber und wurden jeden Tag gereinigt. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und Volterra kann zu Fuß erreicht werden (über zugegebenermaßen nicht ausschließlich fußgängerfreundliche Wege, aber auch nicht sehr üblich in Italien). Parkplätze sind vorhanden. Lage ist mit Blick in die Toskana sehr gut.

We were guided where to go, owner had the maps and guides prepared for us and it helped a lot with the sighseeing plan that we changed after considering all tips. The room was super clean and well-kept. We could choose among the different kind of pillows and extra layer of mattress was offered to us. The breakfast was incredible, we tried local products: honey from Volterra, peccorino cheese, susages, several warm dishes, tasty coffee and the cakes made by the owner's wife herself (!!!). The view from propery is insane and you can hear the birds singing in the morning.

You can feel the thoughtful care and loving attention to detail in every single corner. The breakfast was absolutely touching—a true delight. Il personale é stato da subito molto professionale e cordiale, abbiamo ricevuto tutte le informazioni necessarie per trascorrere il nostro weekend nel migliore dei modi. Ci sono state gentilmente offerte diverse cartine, ben elaborate, dei luoghi da visitare (San Gimignano, Certaldo, Chianti, Certosa, Pisa, etc), consigli sui ristoranti (ottimi per qualità-prezzo) e viste mozzafiato da ogni parte. Colazione ricca, prodotti fatti in casa eccellenti.

- Roberto (10/5): Muy cómodo, con encanto y un fantástico desayuno - Todo muy bien, la comodidad de la cama, el espacio de la habitación, la atención y explicaciones del dueño para conocer la región, pero especialmente destacable el desayuno, de gran variedad y repleto de cocina casera y productos naturales. No tener ascensor puede ser un problema si tienes que subir maletas grandes o eres una persona con dificultades de movilidad, pero lo demás son todo virtudes.
- Heidi (10/5): Der perfekte Ort für einen Urlaub in der Toskana. - Ruhig etwas außerhalb von Volterra gelegen in einem historischen Gebäude, viel Grün rund um die Villa. Der Inhaber ist auf alle Eventualitäten vorbereitet. Zum Beispiel hat er uns gleich erklärt, dass die Matratzen eher hart seien, aber sollten sie zu hart sein, hätte er eine Auflage. Auch bei den Kopfkissen hatte er eine ganze Auswahl an Kopfkissen. Das Frühstück war einmalig. Alles aus der Region, liebevoll zubereitete Speisen (z.B. auch Soufflé, pochiertes Ei in Tomatensoße oder Melanzane parmiggiana), dazu eine Auswahl an hausgemachten Kuchen – die Hälfte davon glutenfrei. Beim Kaffee gab es jede erdenkliche Variante. Und als kleines Extra hatte der Hausherr eine Karte mit Rundreisen in der Toskana vorbereitet. Verschiedene Themenrunden wie die Trüffelrunde oder die Weinrunde, aber auch einfach Touren zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten, die man gesehen haben muss. Wir sind restlos begeistert! Selbst wenn ich lange nachdenke, finde ich nichts, was mir bzw. uns nicht gefallen hätte. Da war alles gut. Die anderen Gäste hat man nicht im Griff, und dass die anderen Gäste abends die Hunde im Zimmer alleinlassen, die natürlich bellen, dafür kann der Hausherr nichts, aber ich muss die erforderliche Mindestanzahl an Zeichen erfüllen, also schreibe ich das mal in dieses Feld.

Zwembad: was op 27/03 dat we daar waren, uiteraard nog niet open. Nog veel te koud. Geen behoefte aan. Locatie: zeer goed. Kamer: lekker snel warm, prachtig uitzicht. Niet het modernste interieur, maar zeker niet slechter... Niets eigenlijk.

- Angele (10/5): Chambre spacieuse et chaleureuse dans un lieu charmant avec panorama magnifique - Petit déjeuner très varié avec des produits locaux accompagné de la bonne humeur et du sourire de Lucas. Lucas est riche en informations très utiles sur Voltera (parking, resto…)et sa région, les lieux à visiter. Nous l’avons beaucoup apprécié. L’hôtel est superbe et à 5mn en voiture.

- Dominique (10/5): Fabuleux. N'hésitez pas à venir si vous voulez visiter la Toscane. - Superbe hôtel avec très grande piscine. Idéalement situé à quasi égale distance de Florence Pise et Sienne. Nous avions un appartement avec cuisine équipée et chambre indépendante. Les petits déjeuners sont fabuleux et très très copieux, de surcroît en cette saison servis sur la terrasse couverte face à la campagne toscane. Il faut également visiter Volterra qui est une charmante bourgade.Quant à Luca c'est une hôte très sympathique et une mine de renseignements pour visiter la région en toute quiétude, allant jusqu'à avoir préparé des circuits pour toute la région au départ de l'hôtel, se téléchargeant sur google maps directement. Bravo et merci Je ne vois rien à améliorer

- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional. - Excellent location. Volterra is a must see. Luca is the best host at this family run villa/hotel. He provides much information of what to see in Tuscany. Exceptional homemade breakfast. Outside covered terrace. Swimming pool. Ample parking. We throughly enjoyed our 3 night stay.

- Andrew (10/5): a lovely stay in Volterra - Beautiful building, set in a large garden, spacious room, comfortable beds, nice view from the windows, powerful shower, fridge in room and fantastic breakfast with plenty of choice (hot and cold), including local produce like salami and cheese, as well as delicious egg dishes of all kinds, and lots of superb cakes etc. Would happily stay again. Nothing major: The bathroom door needed a little extra push to open/close.

- Melanie (9/5): - El sitio en el que se encuentra es precioso y con ello las vistas. Si quieres visitar Volterra, Siena y San Gimigiano estás en el centro para moverte. Su anfitrión no puede ser más atento, te da muchísima información para visitar la zona. Nosotros estuvimos muy a gusto y lo recomendaría a cualquiera, una pena que solo estuviéramos una noche, porque es para quedarse más.

- Nicolas (10/5): Amazing experience.. one of the best ones... - I went with my parents and my girlfriend, and we were all delighted. Luca is an amazing host. The breakfast is incredible. My girlfriend can’t eat gluten or dairy and every morning Luca prepared an alternative breakfast with great options for her. He and his family take care of every detail. Highly recommended. Everything was perfect!
