• Julien_69 (8/5): Hôtel correct, calme, bien placé dans le centre, personnel sympathique et attentif. - Emplacement central pas très loin de l'ADO et des transports Progreso, le jardin est sympa avec la petite piscine, le personnel est agréable aussi, mention spéciale à Jorge qui a mon arrivée m'a rendu un grand service et tout bien expliqué. Le petit déjeuner est assez complet. J'avais besoin de serviettes on me les a donné tout de suite. Également c'est un hôtel assez calme ! Je pense qu'un petit coup de frais peut être apporté aux chambres. Quelques finitions à faire (peinture, gouttières fils électriques...), étoffer un peu les équipements notamment pour la salle de bain (éléments cassés, fils, et...) Après, avec le temps on s'y fait et si on aime l'authenticité et la simplicité ça a son charme ! :)

Los azulejos creo que son de la fundación del hotel, puede ser rústico un lugar sin embargo se ve cuando le dan el respectivo mantenimiento a las instalaciones,el personal de la recepción siempre con su carota, regresando alteme del baño tuvieron que cambiarnos la habitación por q olía a pasuco.. en fin es un hotel que no recomiendo para nadi Todo

• Lilian (8/5): Very traditional in downtown, it was a nice little experience. - I liked it was in downtown, close to places. Very cute love their old style. Love they’re keeping it traditional. There were many mosquitoes in the room that we have to kill in order to go to sleep. The fan in our room wasn’t working. The hot water took a long time to come out. The breakfast was only coffee, bread and fruit, so don’t expect anything else.
• Melissa (5/5): - I really liked the hotel’s location, as it was conveniently close to a variety of restaurants and nearby attractions, making it easy to get around and explore. The breakfast was very good, and the chef and breakfast staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made each morning a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, there were several issues that negatively impacted our stay. Parking was not included and required an additional nightly fee, which was inconvenient. The room was not clean upon arrival, there was visible waste left in the toilet, and the bathroom overall was poorly maintained. The shower was particularly uninviting, with hair on the walls and in the drain, as well as dirt between the tiles. The bedding was also an issue: we were provided with only two very thin blankets, and the pillows were dirty and had a moldy smell. Hot water did not work during our stay, which was very disappointing. In addition, we were given only one roll of toilet paper for the entire week and just one towel, as staff indicated that no additional towels were available. Overall, the lack of cleanliness and basic amenities made the stay uncomfortable.

• Lucy (1/5): inadmissible - rien, nous n’avons pas pu séjourner « double réservation » nous sommes arrivés à 18h et nous sommes retrouvés sans endroit où dormir. ils remettaient la faute sur booking, nous envoyé voir d’autre hôtel en disant « il y a des places pour vous » et à chaque fois il n’y avait pas de place… c’est inadmissible, aucun effort pour nous loger nous laissant seuls dans la capitale du Yucatan un soir de fête de dias de muertos donc avec beaucoup de difficultés à trouver un logement c’est honteux

Rooms were not ok, not very clean. Broken glas on the doors so we couldn't lock in. Glass doors painted with white paint are not nice to see and takes a lot of heat during morning hours from the sun.

La limpieza dejó mucho que desear: al llegar, el recepcionista me entregó dos habitaciones, pero una de ellas estaba sucia y tuvo que cambiarla. La segunda habitación que me asignaron tenía un colchón en pésimas condiciones; parecía de puro alambre, te sentabas y se sentía la base. Además, también estaba sucia y el papel de baño ya estaba empezado. Otro punto negativo es que pagué un adicional para el desayuno pensando que incluía lo que mostraba el pizarrón (huevo y otros alimentos), pero solo me dieron café y fruta. El precio que pagué coincidía con el de un desayuno completo, así que me sentí engañada. Definitivamente, esta experiencia no fue lo que esperaba de un hotel.

Sentí un ambiente muy tranquilo y agradable, atención de todo el personal del hotel. La antena de la televisión falló mucho y no había buena recepción, por lo que solo pude ver pocos canales de televisión. Sugiero que se aseguren de tener mejor recepción para brindar un mejor servicio.

• Toni Jane Parker (5/5): Not as expected - Had towels, toilet paper, and soap Good sturdy pillows We booked: 1 x Standard Double Room (one double bed, one single bed) 1x Double or Twin Room (two single beds) both inclusive of breakfast. We asked if the rooms could be near each other if possible. When we arrived we were given two rooms next to each other but both were the same, with 2 single beds - not what we booked. In addition: - The air conditioning didn't work. - We had to move rooms, all taking nearly an hour to sort. - There was a puddle of mucky water in the shower, so we didn't want to use it. - The bed sheets and pillows were ripped and marked. - There were no curtains. - No full divide between bathroom. - The rooms were not clean and smelt strange. - The noise was ridiculous. There were loud bangs after midnight like furniture being moved and could hear every door and person. Didn't get good sleep at all. - The "good" inclusive breakfast consisted of a small fruit pot and black coffee. Nothing else was offered or available. - The pictures were definitely not representative of real life... Overall, we were disappointed in our stay and it was not what we expected.

• Serge (4/5): Je n'y retournerai pas. - Rien nothing nada petite chambre, petite salle de bain, nous avons eu la visite de cafards , le seul point positif c'était une énorme penderie qui prenait beaucoup de place. Le petit déjeuner était minimaliste, un café tiedasse et un verre de fruits, surtout de la pastèque. Conclusion : à éviter Le personnel ne parle pas un mot d'anglais et n'est pas souriant.

• Jason (4/5): Rough stay. I’ll try elsewhere next time. - Location and 24 hour check in. Located in the historic center, Hotel Mucuy looked pretty cute walking in, beautiful tile work, a patio with a small pool, and lots of random decorative items cluttered about the property. But the room had lots of issues: the bathroom had a constantly wet floor from something leaking, there were no curtains in the room to block the light outside, my air conditioner didn’t work, and they didn’t give me a towel (I asked, and they said I’d be brought one later, but it didn’t happen). The mattress was thin (you could feel the springs), and the toilet didn’t work right. I couldn’t get any hot water to come out of the sink or shower. I’m glad that I came by myself and didn’t put anyone else through all these annoyances. Now, the place was cheap. So all of what I mentioned should be considered within that context. But with numerous hotels in the $30 range in the area, you can likely do better.
• Lukas (2/5): Survived the Night - That we only booked one night. Normally I don't rate anything here if not exceptionally good or bad... So here we go We arrived to find no towels, no soap, (but they were provided later) and a shower that barely dripped – I’ve had stronger water pressure from a leaking pipe. Had to "shower" with a makeshift sponge bath. The beds? Completely worn out. You don’t lie on the mattress, you lie through it – directly on the wooden slats. My legs started itching just from contact with the mattress below in the night. It felt like the sheets hadn’t been properly washed or changed. We booked breakfast, but were told in the morning there was none. No explanation. Just a single cup of coffee offered. Apparently, there are sometimes fruits included, but not that day. A coffee is not breakfast. This place barely functions enough to keep you alive, but that’s about it. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

First room’s door lock didn’t work so we had to move rooms, after we got unpacked and settled. We were later told we needed to pay more for that room because it was an upgrade! Most of the staff were very very unfriendly, plus one of the mornings there was no breakfast when we were told breakfast was included. No hot water the last night. No drinking water included. Staff helped with door lock, problem and housekeeper was friendly, but other than that, the staff were very unhelpful.

• Leonardo (7/5): Excellent when traveling on a budget. - The place was clean, the location is excellent, very near to the town center. They really need to get new mattresses. The staff wasn't rude or anything, but not a single member smiled, the usual warmth of mexican people is totally absent from the place. They did their job, and nothing more. The parking is conveniently close, but it costs an extra fee, not much. Hot water takes extremely long to come out of the shower.

Nothing at all, please don't recommend this hotel to no one or anybody else.

• Nuvpreet (7/5): Great location, fine place - Great location to the centre of Mérida, nice inner courtyard area with trees, a pool and chairs. SMART TVs with Roku in the rooms are great. Hot shower (sometimes)! First we were given the keys to a dirty room. But once that was sorted it was okay. The rooms are fine and the bed is okay. Doesn’t feel the most clean but not so bad. But the shower was dire. There is no shower curtain and the toilet is right next to the un-shielded shower so both the seat and the floor get absolutely soaked. Initially we didn’t even have a floor towel, but after they cleaned the room they provided one. A curtain would do wonders for the bathroom. The showers were sometimes hot but the pressure was really not great. But generally fine!
• Yolanna (9/5): Excellent location, excellent value, allow pets, parking nearby, close to all downtown attractions - The location was excellent. The rooms and property were clean. There is hot water. I enjoyed the comfortable heavy cotton sheets and found the pillow cases very soft. I slept well; overall, its a very quiet hotel and guests respect that but the style of windows doesn't buffer sound much. The lobby was comfortable and offered a place to sit with friends out of the rain or sun. They permit pets for a small fee. The short-term reserved parking spot in front of the hotel is handy to unload luggage and check in. Parking is nearby for $120 pesos/day. I rented 2 rooms. 1 with 2 beds, 1 with one bed. The room with two beds, the mattresses were comfortable. The room with 1 bed, the mattress was the thinnest I'd ever seen and sat upon a piece of dense foam. It was not comfortable. The lobby could use some tourist friendly touches; for example tourist attraction maps, a list of recommended nearby restaurants or coffee shops or food delivery menu (there's a breakfast restaurant onsite). The magazines in the lobby were very old, 2017, 2018 and were totally irrelevant; there was an blank 8 year old calendar book, bridal hairstyles..just random, irrelevant and old. Despite being clean, the walls in the rooms were marked up (as they often are from luggage, etc). Nothing a coat of paint wouldn't fix. Overall, I think it's a good hotel and nothing at all to really complain about :)

I've stayed at amount 30 hotels and hostels on this trip and I have a good relationship with all of them, except this lady. This upset me.i didn't pay the extra demands.

The family is very nice. When checking out I asked where I could get a cup of coffee. She went inside and made me a fresh pot... and is was GOOD.l Would stay again without hesitation.
