Guest Reviews
- Shelly (10/5): - Lovely place for a few nights, room could do with some paint - peeling in places but other than that no complaints
- Lisa (6/5): - The bathroom needs to be renovated and something should be put down so no one slips in tub as I did.
- Ninaad (10/5): - The property was very good
- Kim (6/5): - The Location of the hotel and the staff is very nice.
However, the facility itself was not in a good shape. There was mold on the bathroom curtains, the chair was very dirty and there was a dead bug under the blanket when I first arrived. Thefore the hotel was only okayish for the price
- David (10/5): - Great breakfast
- Philip (10/5): - Buffet morning breakfast and staff.
- nadjet (10/5): - Impeccable
- Melanie (8/5): - The staff was very kind and the breakfast was good. I really enjoyed the pool too and all the convenience around. Unfortunately the room never felt clean, they gave you one roll of toilet paper at a time and there were a variety of living creatures in my room from mice to lizards, ants and I believe the mattress had either fleas or bed bugs. I got bit so many time.
- Neil (8/5): - You get for what you pay, spacious rooms, old but clean
- Alexandra (8/5): - The staff are amazing and the place is quite pretty and clean, outside of the main craziness near ubud palace etc so easier to elal around near hotel. My only issue is that other guests are ofcourse very loud and enjoying Thier holiday and the rooms on the bottom floor are where everyone is walking past. Bring ear plugs if you don't wanna be woken up at 6 am by families out on the corridor having loud conversation. It's also high season right now so to be expected đ
- ?? (8/5): - The breakfast was delicious.
The staff was friendly and nice.
- Ritva (10/5): Sari Villa Ubud - Paikka oli miellyttÀvÀ ja hyvÀllÀ paikalla. Henkilökunta erityisen palvelualtis. Huone pieni, amme kiva. Kylpyhuoneesta pÀÀsi ulkosuihkuun. Aamiainen seisovasta pöydÀstÀ maittava. Uima-allas sopiva. Huoneiden ÀÀnieristys huono. Ravintola ei ollut auki. Aula/ravintola viihtyisÀ. YmpÀristö kaunis. Miinuksena rotta, joka tuli yöllÀ huoneeseemme katossa olevan reiÀn kautta. ReikÀ tukittiin ja toisena yönÀ nukutti hyvin.
- Lynn (10/5): Great place to stay - Great place to stay close to everything great staff clean room
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This property was sadly lacking the staff needed to understand customers needs. Poor management and training of front desk personnel and rude treatment of guest.
- Sherif (2/5): Awful Bed - The bed was horribly uncomfortable. It felt like sleeping on a rock. Will not stay here again!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We checked out after one night at this property after trying to move or upgrade rooms. The room we were allocated was absolutely filthy and when I advised the gentleman at the frontdesk, I was told it's very busy so staff haven't been able to clean. That's just unacceptable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendly staff & good location - very close to the Ridge walk and a few decent restaurants, and was about a 20 minute walk into central Ubud.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very comfortable clean rooms. The customer service is really good. Excellent location
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Front desk staff not overly friendly. Bed was rock hard, shower flowed onti the floor making it dangerous when you stepped out. Bath was unusable due to faulty plug. Pool was only about 1 metre deep. Breakfast was worst ive had on my many trips to Bali. At breakfast they allowed smoking around food, complained and they said that was ok and asked me if I wanted an ashtray(I wasnt impressed). Not many restaurants etc close by so big walks for meals. Definitely look elsewhere.
- Susan (6/5): Ubud getaway. - Liked the outer area.. only down fall was No kitchen open for lunch or dinner and the hotel was full..
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Place was clean and comfortable. Shower created a typhoon in the bathroom but other then that everything was good. Breakfast varied each day in a buffet style but they always had an egg station where you could make a request.
- Zo (10/5): - Staff were very friendly and accommodating! Apon our arrival they gave us a free room upgrade which was very nice. Lovely big rooms with on suite bathrooms. Bottled water, tea, and coffee were available to us everyday. Breakfast was alright and about a 20min- 30min walk to Ubud center which didnât bother us! Overall a wonderful stay! Highly recommend sari villa Ubud as an affordable resort!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The rooms are ckean
Staff is very humble and friendly
Food and breakfast was very good.
Helpful in finding good drivers for tour.
- Sk (8/5): - It was good experience overall. Our stay was at Sari Villa was for 4 days.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - - badkamer ruikt naar schimmel
- zwembad water niet schoon, helemaal groen
- airco in de kamer werkte niet goed
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent service the manager budi went above and beyond to help us in any manner possible we had 25 people in our group and they all loved it! Great facility beautiful outdoor showers awesome pool and 2 minute walk to Bintang supermarket
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful place with a very welcoming staff. I would recommend this place.
- Shigeo (10/5): ăăŁăăæ»ćš - äžćżéšăŸă§ăŻè„ćčČè·éąăăăăŸăăăăăăźćéăă§ăăŁăăăšăăæ»ćšăă§ăăŸăăă
- Lynn (10/5): You will love it - Beautiful place to stay. Great location friendly staff
- Lynn (10/5): - Excellent
- Jennifer (10/5): Lovely Stay! - Very friendly, attentive staff. Bright and airy facility, conveniently located near Bintang market, Dharma Cafe, and The Elephant Restaurant. Outdoor and indoor shower in the room--very cool!
- Niklas (8/5): Value for money - To begin with, staff was wonderfull! In particular one guy at the reception (can't remember hes name). arranged everything for us. Room had everything regarding comfort we needed, and location was ok.
Minor downsides were pool opening times (closes at 7pm). Weird configuration with breakfast (one day buffet and one a la carte). Besides this we had a giant spider which moved during the nights (we killed it).
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Need to include free breakfast for all. Only 3 coupons provided. We need to purchase additionally for our child
- Billy (10/5): Could not recommend a better place to stay! - The best hotel we have ever stayed at. Thank you to Frank and the rest of the team for all of your hard work during our one month stay. Highly recommended! From Billy, Daniel and Alex (Manchester)!
- Jennifer (8/5): Relaxing - Very nice people willing to help all the time
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great place to stay. Friendly staff central and in walking distance to Ubud centre. Also no problem to get meals delivered. We stayed here for 10 nites and would not hesitate to recommend.
- Billy (10/5): A perfect hotel!! - Sari Villa was fantastic, especially for the price! Honestly one of the most attentive and friendly hotel staff Iâve ever seen, nothing is a problem! Itâs a perfect place for a chilled escape from the chaos of Bali, hats off to Frank and all of the rest of staff! See you next time! Billy, Danny and Alex (GB)
- Verified traveler (8/5): Homey stay - Homey. Staff are polite and helpful.peaceful area.though area is not close to shops it has a close supermarket nearby where we bought local snacks.free breakfast though not something to rave about is ok.
- Wari (8/5): - Nice and clean hotel. Liked the room. My husband and i rent a motorbike and went around ubud area... But breakfast is not nice... Only a few choices...
- Jessica (10/5): - There were 3 negatives of my stay: thin walls, moldy dated bathroom and bland breakfast choices. Other than that it was a nice stay. The location was perfection.
- jinyoung (10/5): no dout to return here - It was really good place to take rest or travel Ubud. very quiet and kind receptionist .
Any enquiry available. very neat.
- Tara (10/5): Beautiful and cultural - Our stay here was lovely! We would definitely stay here again!
- Adam (10/5): Great stay - Sari Villas is a friendly, clean, convenient hotel to stay in Ubud.
Staff speak excellent English. The rooms are very clean (often hard to find at the cheaper end of the scale) and was very comfortable. The location although on a main road, is quiet and convenient.
The pool is a small size for the number of guests but is well kept.
Overall my family and I had a great stay.
- Sherif (10/5): Love This Hotel - The staff is so kinda. They were always willing to give suggestions on things to do, personally bring ice to my room whenever I needed it, and get me reasonably priced taxis to where I needed to go. I highly highly recommend staying here and would happily stay here again. Thanks guys!
- Sian (8/5): Amazing value for money! - I was so pleasantly surprised by this little hotel. Really great location (as long as you have a scooter). The hotel actually arranged for a scooter to be dropped off for us for the duration of our stay. The room was nice, although it did not have a garden view as stated in the description, but did have an additional outside shower which was lovely! Staff were super friendly at all times!
Breakfast was basic but fine, especially the rice with eggs. Go and get your coffee from the cafe a few doors down the street! Thereâs a big supermarket near by, a spa next door where you can get an hour massage for 100,000idr and lots of local restaurants.
The bed was big and comfortable, decent shower, nice lighting in room, the pool area was nice - couldnât really have asked for more!
The reviews this hotel has previously had have been picky and unfair I feel. This place is such great value for money - I would stay again in a heartbeat.
- Daniel (8/5): Nice hotel in decent location. - Nice hotel in a decent location. Be prepared to walk a reasonable distance to get into Ubud or there are taxi drivers just down the road that will inevitably try and push you towards getting a taxi - we didnât bother using taxis in our time there apart from Grabs however it was super easy to navigate both to the monkey forest and the town center. Only downside was that we couldnât use the shower without literally flooding the entire bathroom regardless of whether you used the bath shower or the freestanding shower. This didnât impact our stay in the hotel though.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Positives
-blow dryer
-comfortable mattress
-slippers included
-clean
-good quiet location
-walkable to Center
Negatives
-limited towels
-1 toilet paper roll per day
-colony of ants in room (not entirely their fault as you are in the jungle)
-breakfast hours need to be extended
-insane water leakage in shower and bathtub
- Gisselle Charade (10/5): - I highly recommend this place!
GISSELLE
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cute Villa Great Staff - The villa was clean & really cute. Close to open markets and a grocery store very close as well-walking distance. All the workers at this hotel were so friendly & helpful. Breakfast was really good...omelette, pancakes, egg bake cups. Eggs sandwich....breakfast comes with juice & plate of fruit. Dining seating is so cute ...outdoor yet cozy & covered in case of rain. I surely recommend this hotel, I'd surely stay there again.
- cheow syn (4/5): Disappointed despite other good reviews - The reception at the hotel was not as welcoming as it seems. Staff was unable to check us in even though I had printed out the confirmed & paid reservation. We waited for almost 30min before another experienced staff found the booking. Was utterly shocked to find that hotel did not provide shampoo for guests at all. Hair dryer in the toilet was not working. Water heater was faulty too. We had company too, a live scorpion in the toilet! We requested a change of the for the second night. Although staff claimed that hotel was fully booked, we insisted & got a change opposite our current room. Do not have any expectations of the breakfast served & you will not be disappointed. I will not recommend this hotel & definitely not return to this hotel as there are many choices at the same price range that definitely would have provided me with a more pleasant experience.
- Guy (2/5): - Have NO shampoo!!!! NO SOAP !! Wifi doesnât work
Staff wasnât helpful. Far from convenient store
- Deborah Joanne (10/5): Pleasant Surprise - Hotel was welcoming, had a nice decor, cool set up- hidden away from main busy area but accessible... we rented moped scooter, walked in rain forest, visited Monkey Forest, went Whitewater rafting, visited some Temples and enjoyed live music in restaurants- nice restaurants are nearby and walkable from hotel. There was ample market shopping - actually endless is better description... Ubud was much cleaner (less trash) than other parts of Bali... the pool was smaller but clean - located at the end of our little cost hotel street... breakfast was ok but hey included so no complaints... we had a special breakfast at The Elephant (walk to restaurant). Overall a positive experience and would recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A little bit out of the main centre, walking distance to everything required.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Affordable, clean and nice - It was an affordable, clean and nice hotel in a good location. They also offer good wifi and breakfast. The staff was nice and helpful, shared many useful information and helped us rent a motorbike. It is a new built hotel so everything look new, i like the outdoor shower area.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Toilet was dirty upon arrival. Bathroom was dirty and poorly designed. Rooms tiny. Bed was one of the most uncomfortable Iâve slept in. Staff were reasonably helpful but didnât appear to offer much when we had questions. Pool was nice. Not a great experience overall and wouldnât go back. It was cheap $50 au a night but Iâd prefer to pay $30 more and have a completely different experience.
