Staff were extremely pleasant, thoughtful and helpful. The pub has a nice setting and a lovely atmosphere. Great food, both breakfast and evening meal. Nothing.

- Southsidechaz (7/5): It was ok - Hotel is nice and staff are nice. Had a good meal. We were in room 2 which was at the front. The noise from the street was not great. Did not help getting woke up at midnight by people coming out of the pub.
Bed was too hard and uncomfortable

- Bailey (7/5): Ok, but for two rooms, for tow of us, £186 was pricy - The restaurant area was very good and the entertainment was good too The carpet looked warn but was clean, but there was no hot water in the morning for my colleague
- vicki (10/5): Perfect stopover before going to Bute. - After a long drive, we stayed here with a view to getting the ferry to Bute the next day. It was a perfect overnight stopover. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening and had breakfast the next morning. The food was extremely good. Staff were very friendly and our room were very comfortable.
- Lynne (9/5): We were attending a family funeral after a very long journey and needed somewhere comfortable and welcoming to stay - Excellent location and so cosy on a very cold day.

- Beatrice (8/5): Clean with excellent staff - Breakfast was fine but limited owing to my egg allergy I thought it was expensive overall
- Nicole (10/5): Lovely stay in the family room. - Lovely hotel & the family room had everything we needed. Food is amazing. Would definitely visit again
- Margaret (8/5): Nice stay - Staff are incredible and our room couldn’t have been cleaner. Nice little touches like a chocolate biscuit in the room. Breakfast amazing. Room was small for two of us whilst single person with us had an enormous room. No sockets near the bed for charging phones etc, just one socket in room and another in the wardrobe(?) A bit of noise from the pub below but wasn’t a late finish.
- Elaine (10/5): Recommended - Fantastic, friendly, helpful staff.ade us feel so welcome after a difficult day of terrible weather and ferry cancellations. Food was lovely in restaurant and very nice ambience. Comfortable, well thought out room. Breakfast included. Nothing.
- Niinaavb (9/5): -
- Kelly (9/5): Lovely stay - The staff were absolutely lovely, particularly Richard who kindly called us taxis, gave expert advice on local whiskey, and made sure we were comfortable. Everyone who worked there was warm and friendly. The rooms are lovely, but we had some issues with the water pressure. The bathrooms could do with some updating but were spotlessly clean and had everything we needed.

- SmallyupNorf (8/5): A+ for these guys. Owners great, staff awesome, food sublime and value for money. - Really impressed with this little place, staff were excellent, the staff were awesome and the bed and bedding were super comfy. Wifi great, parking easy, and super friendly staff make it all worth while. Not a fan of an electric shower and fold away shower screen but that is just me being picky.
- Martijn (10/5): Geweldig - Sfeervol Niks

- Ian (7/5): Lovely evening meal and excellent breakfast but spoiled by the quality of the room - Free car park, quiet location, food excellent and staff outstanding Small a tired bedroom
- Nat (10/5): Lovely old Scottish Hotel - Everything.
We arrived very late and they were so kind and welcoming.
The blonde manager was lovely. The room was huge with 2 double beds and a bath with pretty window boxes.
Breakfast superb, with a cheery chatty friendly young man of about 18.
All excellent. Nothing
- Stephen (8/5): Handy for the marina. - Good location for the marina, we were looking at a yacht. Easy walk from the station. Hotel was comfortable, staff very helpful and friendly. Evening meal was very good and we arrived slightly late and it was no trouble. Breakfast was okay, could have been better without too much trouble.
- Frank (8/5): -
- Michelle (4/5): My room location negatvley impacted my stay. Such a shame as food and service at dinner was great. - The quality of the food and the service.
Bed very comfortable. How noisy it was in my room between 9pm and 11pm so unable to get to sleep.
I was able to hear the staff working in the bar/ restaurant and store room areas, guest leaving after dinner, as well as my door rattling every time there was movement past it.
Dusting in room needed attention. A lot of dust around electrical equipment by the desk and around the skirting boards.
- Joanna (8/5): Very homely and welcoming - The staff were all very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable and the fresh water and Tunnocks teacake each day were a nice touch. The breakfasts and dinners we had in the hotel were very tasty and served with a smile. Excellent location for us accessing the Dunoon ferry. The bar/restaurant was bustling each night we were there (which was great!) but not so great for noise in our room.
- Karen (9/5): -
- Simon (8/5): -
- Kris (10/5): -
- James (10/5): - Great staff, fantastic food and a really great atmosphere in the restaurant and pub. Nothing
- Ian (7/5): Met our needs but probably would not stay again - Staff friendly and food good. Breakfasts were average. Location was good for train travel to Glasgow. No early breakfast on Sunday but Muesli provided. Very busy but not quite making the grade for us personally.

- Adam (9/5): -
- Fiona (10/5): A little Gem hotel in Inverkip - A beautiful hotel/restaurant/bar in a wee town . The hotel was quirky and beautiful run my a family, with old creaky stairs, floors and the rooms were spacious. A beautiful restaurant within the hotel and we had an amazing home hearty meal! Just not accessible for disabled people as no lift 🛗 as it’s an old building, but they have 1 floor of steps to climb, but that is what makes it unique.
- Hilmar (8/5): -
- Graham (8/5): Good - Nice beer garden staff very nice and helpful
Food and drink was also nice
Breakfast was lovely aswel
- Davy (9/5): -
- p (8/5): -
- carmen (8/5): - Gemütlich, nettes Personal, sauber
- Vincent (4/5): - The noise coming from the bar under my room, between 10 PM and 12 PM, a Saturday evening, was unbearable, even with ear protection. It is too late to inform the guest, on arrival, that their will be in the room terrible "beat" bangs in the evening. Management must at least reduce the power of the "woofers" of the loudspeakers.
- laurel (9/5): -
- Adrienne (8/5): Well run friendly family owned business! - Super friendly, charming, clean, stylish and comfortable place. Lovely staff and great food! Wish we could have stayed longer, highly recommend. Great location for west coast adventures. Wee gem of a place! Thank you.
- John (8/5): I needed a comfortable hotel to support my visit to Inverkip, and this place ticked all the good boxes. - Good location for my purpose, car park, beer garden, pleasant bar and restaurant. Friendly approachable knowledgeable staff, excellent cold beer, good food. No pretentiousness, just good fare. Some aspects of the hotel are showing their age, but nothing was broken or didn’t work.
- Lisa (10/5): A great stop off en route to Islay - It was friendly welcoming good value Comfortable clean room Excellent tasty food
- ALISON (9/5): Excellent jumping off point for visiting the islands - Clean and comfortable
- Nicola (8/5): -
- Samantha (10/5): -
- Rosemary (7/5): -
- Siew Khim (9/5): Enjoyable stay. - Normal breakfast. Don't have fresh fruits, so we bought our own fruits.
- Siew Khim (9/5): Very enjoyable stay, near ferry terminal to Dunoon - Very spacious room with 2 double beds! Friendly, helpful staff, good food. Entrance to the carpark (backyard of the building) is very narrow! Can't see traffic on the main road, quite dangerous!
- John (9/5): - Great staff and great food.
