I was on the top (3rd) floor in a single room, en suite and it was very nice. Nothing - it is an excellent little B&B!

They would have taken us back to Grosmont next day but we decided to walk from there. The room was comfortable and the ensuite shower was excellent. Breakfast was really good. Nothing.

LizzyT (10/5): A very cosy stay on the edge of the Moors - Dee and Phil were superb hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our too short stay of only one night at their delightful Rowan Tree House B & B. Their welcome was warm and friendly; our room exceptionally clean, tidy and comfortable. We slept very well in a comfy bed and a peaceful setting. Phil cooked us a delicious and very generous breakfast to order. The location, in the charming village of Sleights, was close to the Moors and to Whitby. Overall, we wished we could have stayed longer! Everything was perfect.

Barbara (10/5): Amazing little B&B near Whitby - The hosts Phillip and Dee could not do enough for us, they were very friendly. The room was lovely and clean and refills of tea, coffee, biscuits etc provided outside the rooms for guests to help themselves to. The breakfasts we had were amazing, plenty of choice and beautifully cooked. There’s a bus to Whitby just near the house and many other places to visit nearby.

Our room suited us fine. albeit facing a main road traffic noise was never a problem. Great shower. The location was great, and really suited our needs as by bus or car there are loads of place of interest we could and did visit. Off street car parking was also welcomed. There is nothing to dislike. Our hosts Dee and Phil really looked after us. Nothing was too much trouble and went beyond normal "hosting" to look after us and giving advice on the various eateries in the area.

Gemma (9/5): Lovely hosts, nice b&b - Stayed one night on the Coast-to-Coast trek. Dee was lovely and let us check in early even though we hadn't arranged it. The beds were comfy, and the breakfast was excellent. Dee gave us a lift back to Littebeck to continue our walk for a very small fee, which was much appreciated. Room was a little small with 2 suitcases. Village pub not open, but we ate at the lovely fish and chip restaurant instead.

The weather was supposed to be cold,windy and rainy and Phil offered to meet me early if needed. Lovely breakfast, dinner options nearby. Next to convenience store. Stayed here while hiking the Coast to Coast. About 2.5 miles off trail from Grosmont and rejoined via Littlebeck so about net even on mileage.

Gregg (10/5): A fantastic adventure. - Breakfast was really tasty with a choice of what you could have with cereal and milk to start with/without sugar, and healthy fry up for after this with tea or coffee ,lovely. You could have a choice with melon and fruits as well to start breakfast and we selected what we wanted for breakfast. Room was really good, very clean and bathroom was good with TV and internet service there with kettle and biscuits ,tea bags or coffee available in the room for us. First class service. Location was brilliant and 5 miles close to Goathland (Aidensfield) and Whitby close by as well with the Park and Ride. Nothing at all, It was great and a brilliant Bed and Breakfast.

Hosts gave good local recommendation for evening meal. Hosts went beyond the call of duty in giving us a lift to the start of the our walk.
Susan (6/5): - Location on a busy road with limited parking. Twin was very small and dated. Mattress were uncomfortable both needed replacing. It was very clean and the hosts were friendly. Not a fan of pre ordering breakfast and having to state a time but it was very nice and cooked as requested.

I have specific dietry requirements and they could not have been more helpful providing a lovely breakfast. It was a shame that my friend and I didn’t have more time to enjoy staying at Rowan Tree House.

Sau Ting (10/5): comfy and quite place to stay - Rooms are well prepared and clean, for couples coming from busy city life, this is a cosy and comfy place to stay. The hosts are nice and do make a phone to confirm our arrival time, make sure we are greeted and keys are ready for us. Nice breakfast are included. We have enough privacy and you can feel that the hosts are not disturbing the peace so much.
