Location: Unfortunately, the location feels unsafe. One evening, when I tried to go out for dinner, I encountered a herd of five street dogs right outside the hotel. I was scared and had to return to order room service instead. Room: My room was upgraded to a corner view, which I appreciated. The room itself was comfortable, and I slept well. However, I faced multiple maintenance and cleanliness issues. The bathtub was full of hair when I first entered, and I had to clean it myself before use. The toilet and shower had a strong sewage smell, making it difficult to use. Despite asking for housekeeping, toiletries such as shampoo and shower gel were not replenished after the first two days. Facilities & Maintenance: The hotel suffers from very poor maintenance. There is a constant smell of sewage throughout the corridors and in the bathrooms. Walking through the corridors requires holding my breath. The garden on the ground floor is inaccessible due to ongoing construction. Electricity cuts are frequent, which is frustrating. Staff & Service: The staff are kind, polite, and always willing to help. They also try to socialize with guests, which is nice, but at times it felt intrusive. A major issue was their repeated insistence on me leaving online reviews. I was asked every day to submit feedback on TripAdvisor, Booking.com, and Google. On my last day, I was interrupted during breakfast, and a staff member even asked me to switch off my WiFi so TripAdvisor wouldn’t detect my location. She then took my phone and filled in the review herself, which made me very uncomfortable and worried about my privacy. Food & Amenities: Breakfast options are limited, especially the continental choices. On the positive side, the hotel provides electric car charging points, which is a useful facility.

Coffee tastes horrible / tastes like the beans are overburned. For the cost the breakfast is not worth. The pasteries, noodles are not fresh . Idly is not good. Quality of the bed is not good, we got back pain. The told initially an amount is blocked in my card for garantee which was 1500 rs more than the. Hotel charges. But finally they told me that by mistake they charged the card instead of blocking. The staff said that balance will be refunded. But still have not got it

- Vikas (5/5): Very bad service in a great property - We checked into The Den on 31st and checked out on 1st Jan. Here is a detailed review of our experience 1. Rooms and property: this is something that I cannot really complaint about. Excellent rooms with a great city view. Rooms are very clean with all facilities. My favourite was the open bathroom they have in the room. 1. Check in: Worst check in experience! We waited for an hour in the lobby to do the check in! It feels like they almost deliberately do it to buy in more time for check in. The most nonsensical rule is if you give aadhar copy they ll verify the QR code and if you are carrying an old copy of aadhar it wont be accepted. Then they will force you to download the maadhar which itself is a pain in the neck. After making you do all this eventually they still accepted the old aadhar when it started to take too much time, which means it was really not mandatory to check that!! If these are Mandatory rules by the government they should clearly mention to us in advance which they didn't. 2. Service: Room service was not at all up to the mark. For everything we needed we had to call minimum twice. On the day of check out they will not even cater to your basic needs like water. Even OYO rooms give better facilities. 3. Check out: Again a very long waiting time, this time more than check in time! They will ask you to sit and wait and they'll never call you and people coming after you will just go ahead of you if you don't make noise. Complete chaos and mismanagement, it felt like you are in a govt hospital!! If they have a new year rush they should be able to have more staff to cater to the rush else not accept so many bookings. 4. Layla hotel: it appeared as if they did not want us to spend a single moment without ordering anything. They will keep asking you incessantly to order. Other than the view this place offers which is definitely really good but the food is not great ! Cocktails are great though. They have a very limited menu. The manager at layla also did not appear very hospitable and would impose his preference for payments and seating areas. While we were denied our preferred seating area with the reason that it was booked for a band, foreigners were allowed to sit. That's how Indians are treated by Indians here!
