Guest Reviews
- Esteban (6/5): Poca comunicación con administrador - Es un lindo departamento , lastima el baño que es extremadamente chico y en el inodoro no tuvimos agua en toda la estadía se aviso al administrador y no contesto nunca
- timothy (8/5): Apartment not a hotel - Unusual but great for us. Someone met us to check us in and that was the last we saw someone. Gave us the key, collected the tourist tax and was gone. That was fine, we had everything we needed in the middle of Venice. Kitchenette, nice shower and cleaning supplies. We stayed 5 nights and we were at home, not a hotel.
- Michelle (6/5): Good location, good value, not luxury - The pros: Great location, short walk from Santa Lucia train station and all attractions. Mario was flexible about check in and check out times and let me store my bag at the apartment after check out time. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was clean and had all the basic needs, as well as washer and dryer.
The cons: Communication with Mario was difficult. He didn’t respond to messages sent thru hotels.com, then later after I started texting him, he didn’t respond to texts about check out while I was there. The apartment had a musty smell. And the wi-fi didn’t work.
Summary - The apartment was inexpensive and in a good location and good enough for an overnight stay, but don’t expect luxury.
- Maria (10/5): Lovely retreat - After contacting the phone number provided for this booking, we spoke to Mario’s wife. We were to meet at the pharmacy at Campo San Polo. We headed on foot from the train station with map in hand, but needed to ask for directions several times. So we were late, but still greeted warmly by a very mice lady named Vicky, who took us to the apt. down a quiet, narrow alleyway. She answered all our questions in broken English and with hand gestures. The apt is just as pictured: small but functional and comfy, including washer and dryer. We stayed for 3 nights and found it to be a good central location. A tip we found useful to find our way back to Campo San Polo was to follow the “alle Ferrovia” signs on buildings when in Rialto/San Marco areas. This pretty much worked every time. We really enjoyed our stay here.
