• Hiroyuki (2/5): - 部屋にタオル、トイレットペーパー、コップ、石鹸、ハンガーが備えられていなかった。近くの寺院でお祭りでもやっているのか、深夜でもスピーカーから声が響いた。
• 974mahat (4/5): Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price - I stayed at this hotel in Colombo for 3 days after finding it online with seemingly good reviews, but my actual experience was quite the opposite. Check-In Experience: Check-in was handled manually, including handwritten registration and paper bills, which felt outdated but manageable. Room & Noise Issues: Once I entered the room, it was just okay. Unfortunately, there was ongoing construction work on the upper floors—constant drilling and breaking sounds that gave us headaches. I requested a room change to avoid the noise, and although they initially said the new room would cost extra, they later offered it at the same rate. Still, the noise continued until 5 PM every day, which made it impossible to relax. Cleanliness & Facilities: The room had an unpleasant smell, and the corridor wasn’t any better. The bathroom was in poor condition with stained tiles and general dirt. Basic amenities were missing—no toilet paper, no bottled water, and only one towel provided in a double room. For the rate charged, this is unacceptable. Service & Management: While the staff seemed to be working, there was no sign of proper management. The property appears to be privately run with minimal oversight. It seemed they mostly rely on regular guests who don’t mind the lack of quality. During our stay, someone knocked on our door and randomly asked when we would check out—without knowing our room number or name. This felt unprofessional and intrusive. Staff on the floor often engaged in loud conversations, creating even more noise and disturbance for guests. Unfair Charges: The hotel charges Rs. 6,500 for a 24-hour stay starting from check-in time. On the final day, I requested an extra 7 hours to wait for my next destination and was shocked to be charged Rs. 5,500. How does 7 hours cost almost the same as 24? It felt like they were just focused on extracting money rather than providing service. Overall Verdict: This stay was disappointing from start to finish. Poor hygiene, noise, lack of basic facilities, and money-minded service made it an unpleasant experience. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone.
• Pedro (6/5): - The people were all very friendly and the room was good and quite clean. The kitchen on the 1st floor, however, was pretty gross and could use with some attention. Nice that they have parking, although it is quite limited. There’s a couple of working lifts and a nice view from the 7th floor. Very close to Pettah Market and only about a 20 minute walk to the Dutch hospital.
• Sara (6/5): Good Location/Underwhelming Room - Positives are that it's in a great central location near the Red Mosque and restaurants and a great price. The staff was really friendly and helpful as well and helped me arrange airport transportation. Negatives are that the internet didn't work the day I was there, the room A/C was set to 32 degrees and I couldn't adjust it, and the room and hotel itself seemed a little run down and creepy. I didn't mind too much since I was there for just a night before my flight home, though. Would recommend for short stays because of the price and location.
• valerie (8/5): - Seriously, other bad reviews are exagerated. People expect to have a palace for 20$?? The room was perfectly find for this kind of budget hotel. Staff was very kind and helpfull. Neighbourhood can be creepy on sundays and at night but ok during the day. Bed was confortable. I had a view on the city and the lotus tower on the 6th floor.

• PaklincL (10/5): Good for the price - My husband and I stayed here for one night while traveling through Colombo. We landed late at 10:30PM and the hotel was very nice to accommodate our late check in. The staff at reception was very nice and extremely friendly. They were eager to help us with everything that we needed. The room was spacious and clean and even had a balcony with a view of the city. The bathroom was quite decent as well. I’d definitely recommend staying here while in Colombo. It’s in a good location with many restaurants around. Contrary to the previous reviews, I thought the staff was great and the rooms were pretty clean.
• Travelgurusl009 (2/5): Terrible hotel with terrible service. - I have been here for long vacation and untlimately ends up being in thia hotel longterm. This is hotel has no customer service, bizzar laguage been used by the receptionist cum cahsire. Managemt dont care about the customers, they all belive what the reseptionests says. No water, literally there is no water . Specifically towerds in the evening No hot water at all. If you need to have a wash you must call the receptionist and inform . The evilish receptionist name call Janani calls you at 7.30 am and if there is adelay then thats theend of the story. They charge big but not nevern giving daily complimentry water bottles even. If you stay for one night and the bed.linon is good then they will flip the covers upside and down and prepare fro the next customer airrivals. Complimentry towels offerd to customer is beenused to wipe the toilet .customer used towels been used to cleen toilet.floors after wasing the lavatory . No room.service for two days . As per hotel policy they dont change or clen the rooms for days if customer staying. Broken toilet equipments. Most of the rooms in the hotel has cheap hotel itmes such as ,beds and stiff sprin metress ,toilet equipments and ect .is not upto a standerd . Dingy elivator workes sometime and sometine its dont . Per room.one bedsheet and two soft pillows have been given even if there is two custowes stay at room. Overall this place is a horrifying experiance for me .though you have paid money, this is a place you cant expect customer service , they priorities money on the meantime customer is been treated very very bad . Starting from managemnt to ground level staffs . Last but not least price point they selling such a low scaled hotel really high. hence i would like to request tripasvosor to re evaluate the service standerds .

• 546ellep (4/5): Not the same as in the photos - It was okay. Elevator was not working, good thing we are just in the 2nd floor. It's a bit dirty. The room is big and bathroom also. But it feels like it was clean few months back. There's a weird smell we came inside luckily it disappeared after some time. Location is near Pettah Market. A lot of shops and restaurants around.

• C9208WKcharlotteg (2/5): Avoid at all cost - When me and my partner arrived it completely set the tone for the whole stay. We arrived and they were in the midst of a powercut.. yet the lift was working (unnerving).. we were then taken to a room which had no toilet paper, lights weren’t working etc.. turns out after an hour of no electricity we had been taken to the wrong room. When they finally recitifed their mistake and we were taken to our correct room, and the power came back on, the power sockets (bar one right by the bathroom) did not work, the aircon system had a mind of its own (working 10% of the time) and again no toilet paper or free water (as advertised). The hotel itself was located down a side street to which no taxi driver knew it’s location, (which after a day of travelling is not what you want!) the facilities for food (ie the downstairs canteen) was filthy with buckets and cleaning products scattered everywhere and rubbish all over the floor! I loved Sri Lanka and every place I stayed in, however this hotel was a shambles from start to finish and I would whole heartedly recommend avoiding this place!
• ignorethecrumbs (6/5): Basic and clean - Seems like it is luck of the draw with what room you get from looking at the other reviews. Ours appeared to have been painted recently and was clean, can’t really ask for much more. Staff were friendly too. It’s close to the station but nothing within walking distance that’s noteworthy. I’d personally only stay here if you land late and have an early train the next morning. Not sure if it was lost in communication, but it seemed like they didn’t offer breakfast.
• Pomanjou8 (4/5): Dirty and dishevelled - Disappointed with this hotel, as the photos were clearly taken when everything was new and the standard is certainly not the same. Beds were hard and in the morning we noticed bugs (other than the expected ants) on the floor and beds which was fairly disgusting. There was a semi-dried spillage of something on the bathroom floor and the lift only worked if you called it to go up - the other button didn’t work. No mosquito nets unfortunately either. Staff were friendly however.
• Arshadharis (6/5): Business - Booked for One Night . Breakfast is what you would expect for the price, not monumental but filling and satisfying. This is a budget hotel, but the bathrooms are clean, bedding clean and Staffs are friendly
• nimithraw (10/5): Near fort and pettah - Nice for a quick stop in Colombo. Clos to pettah so it’s a busy area and popular among locals. Walkable to many shops and attractions in central Colombo. Would definitely recommend as the staff are very nice.
• naveenw2018 (10/5): Nice stay - Good value for a hotel near to the city center. Located in a busy area, with lots of shops and local eateries. Was convenient to get to the fort rail station as there are lots of tuktuks nearby to get there in 10 mins with traffic.
• tommX4148OW (6/5): Close to Fort station, needs an update. - Basic hotel, booked for stopover to get train to Kandy the next morning. Nice view of the city form upper floor room. Room itself could do with an update, and hadn't been fully prepared for our arrival - no toilet paper.Hotel rules state no food/drink in rooms, which was a bit of a pain. 5 minute tuktuk (Rs 70) to Fort station.

• Sandya-and-Erik (6/5): Value for money - Decent size room, clean, good AC. Maintenance leaves a bit to desire; e.g. loose toilet seat, and shower takes ages to finally give good and ample hot water. Great location for enjoying local culture. Around 15-20 mins walk from Fort; metered tuktuk Rs 80 and unmetered, sadly, double that price. Friendly reception,
• Thomas (6/5): Hôtel très moyen, suffisant pour une nuit - Nous avons séjourné ici une nuit pour être proche de la gare et prendre le premier train pour Kandy. Le quartier n'est pas vraiment sympa et très bruyant. Il est situé juste à côté de la mosquée donc réveil obligatoire la nuit...

• X2494DMhenrym (8/5): Clean and reasonably priced place to stay in Colombo - We paid a bit extra to get the top floor rooms and we're glad we did as the views are spectacular. This is not a Cinnamon Gardens/Galle Road area, but all the more interesting. There are numerous temples and churches to explore. The hotel also has helpful lists of local restaurants.

• Tomas (6/5): Not impressed - The hotel is pretty close to the train station Colombo Fort, so you can walk there. The room is nothing exceptional, neither the staff so only for connected flights or trains.
• W4lking (8/5): Value for money - Close to the train and bus stations in a cheaper part of the city. We had booked in for 1 night but decided to stay 3. It had a common area with a fridge and facilities for hot drinks. Good service and clean room
• MTB-Worldwide (10/5): Budget hotel close to city centre - We spent a night here as it is close to the world trade centre where we had a meeting early the next morning. Check in was easy, the staff were friendly and the room was big and clean. What more could you want? It's not in the most affluent of areas with a wealth of tourist facilities but you can reach dozens of restaurants etc by a short 200rp Tuk Tuk ride. Would use again if staying in the city centre on a budget.

• alan and irene (6/5): the hotel was difficult to find the cab driver had - This hotel was average in comfort and cleanliness It was in an obscure location and the cab driver had to stop and ask for directions at least twice. There was no tea making facilities in the room The staff were helpful and provided information on tourism and street directions.
