I can honestly say we had a fantastic week, It's basic, we had our own room with bunk beds and our own toilet and shower We found the beds to be very comfortable and we all slept really well. It was clean. The owner is very helpful, approachable and easy to contact. The location is amazing. I would definitely return. It's a that does what it says on the tin.

We took a family room for four people with a bunkbed, but if you are big or taller than 5'5 you won't fit in those bunkbeds. The shower also broke in our last day and one of us had to shower in the shared toilet.

Walked out went elsewhere. This is more like a hostel definitely not a hotel.

Ruth (6/5): - Good location and friendly staff who responded quickly and efficiently with problems. The entrance was in an alley that didn’t feel safe, especially since the man read our door code out aloud outside. There was a very strong smell of mould and damp in the room, although none visible. The oven didn’t work and it was one of the reasons we rented a studio in the first place.

The location is convenient, close to everything you need. However, the electric kettle in the room was broken, which was a minor inconvenience.

Humaira (10/5): Lovely little weekend away - Close to hotel, clean and tidy, They let us in before checkin time which was so sweet of them. So thank you we came from so far aswell so thst was the icing on the cake.
Lexi (3/5): Nice location and staff but not a great room - location is great, friendly and helpful staff the curtains are so see through that we were woken at 5am every morning by the light so definitely bring an eye mask if staying. the room was also very cramped with barely any space around the beds so we had to store everything underneath them. there was also only one tiny mirror in the bathroom. shower only runs for a few seconds then has to be turned back on. there was also hand soap and shampoo dispensers that were totally empty. beds were also uncomfortable and super thin pillows.

Aoife (2/5): Life is short; don't stay here. - Cleaning staff is doing excellent job. The only staff member I met (Ray) was kind. The noise at night! The absence of managers. Paying for a triple room where the single bed was broken (base taped together with duct tape) and not usable. Bed got replaced following day, but no manager to talk to, whether in person or on phone. Email responses that could have been written by AI. A real lack of care for the guest. The shouting of drunken young men outside near back of hotel was beyond the pale. Reef Lodge message via email said that Newquay in high season is going to be noisy. Agreed! If you do not like sleep and prefer a hostel vibe, albeit an expensive hostel, then this could be the place for you!

George (7/5): - Lovely helpful friendly staff. Room cleanliness. Access to third room floor. Double bed was comfortable but top single bunk bed above double bed was inconvenient and claustrophobic
Paulius (9/5): - Everything was great except for the Wi-Fi — it kept dying every five minutes like it was in a drama series. Honestly, I gave up and just went outside to enjoy the city instead. Turns out, low signal is a solid productivity hack

The hot water in the shower isn't always consistent, occasionally turning cooler. A bit more attention to these details would improve the experience.
