• Mareile (10/5): Oase der Ruhe mit Aussicht ins Grüne - Das B&B liegt auf einer Hochebene, wodurch man eine herrliche Aussicht hat. Man kann dort absolute Ruhe genießen und es gibt viele tolle Wanderwege in der näheren Umgebung. Die Besitzerin ist super nett und wir wurden herzlich empfangen. Auf Vorbestellung kann man im B&B zu Abend essen, wir wurden mit einem super leckeren 3-Gänge Menü verwöhnt und das Frühstück war ebenfalls top: Tee, Kaffee, Eier, Brötchen, Croissants, Schinken, Käse und eine unendliche Auswahl an Marmeladen und verschiedenen Schokoladen-Brotaufstrichen. Parken kann man kostenlos direkt vorm Haus. Sehr empfehlenswert! Wir wollen wieder kommen.

• Joan (9/5): Wij hebben een prima verblijf gehad bij Isabel. - De rustige omgeving beviel ons prima. De kamer was goed en het bed was heerlijk. De eigenaresse van de accommodatie dacht prima mee met betrekking tot een eetgelegenheid in de omgeving. Opvallend was dat bij het ontbijt dat werd genuttigd door 4 gasten, het brood en broodbeleg klaar staat. Echter: het aantal croissantjes was niet evenredig, gezien het aantal gasten. Je zou denken 4 gasten, dus 4 croissantjes. Helaas waren het er 3. Opvallend was ook, dat broodbeleg zoals kaas en ham, alleen geserveerd werd wanneer er om gevraagd werd. En wanneer het geserveerd werd en niet genoeg(!), omdat we met zijn vieren waren, moest je er weer om vragen. Ook een gekookt eitje kwam pas in beeld, nadat de gastvrouw het aanbood. Er was wel een keur aan zelfgemaakte jam en pasta.

• michael mirabella (9/5): belle mise au vert. - Les propriétaires sont très conviviaux, le petit déjeuné est très bon avec des produits locaux. Le logement est au calme avec une belle vue sur la nature environnante. Beaucoup de belle randonnée dans les environs. la terrasse était glissante à cette periode très humide.

• Adebissi (6/5): Notre séjour s’est bien passé , on a fait la randonner de 10km , on s’est bien reposé - Les équipes ; le lit et le matelas étaient super grands et confortables, la salle d’eau étais nickel la chambre est propre il n’y a rien à dire . Le petit déjeuner était trop simple à notre goût, il y avais pas plusieurs choix possibles . Ce qui est compréhensible ce n’est pas un hôtel, moi j’étais à jeûne donc cela ne m’as pas dérangé mais j’ai pensé à la fille de 2 ans et mon compagnon , Nous avons ressenti, l’impression que la hôte se force d’être aimable, agréable ce n’est que notre ressenti et c’est d’ailleurs bien que d’avoir une hôte désagréable 😊.

• Job (10/5): - De gastvrouw was erg vriendelijk en gastvrij. Verder had onze kamer een fijn bed goede badkamer en was het hygienisch. Geen airco, maar wel een groot kiepraam, dus dat was prima. Verder erg rustige bosrijke omgeving en grote tuin om tot rust te komen. In ons geval ook een prima plek voor doorreis naar het zuiden. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd en konden zelf een tijd afspreken. Niks.

Isabel is a good cook and prepared a delicious 'table d'hote' meal for us, at a reasonable price. We also enjoyed a walk along one of the many tracks criss-crossing this region, accessible straight from the property.

Didn't really fancy getting back on Motorbike to get a pizza after riding for 10 hours that day. There is another village 11km away but didn't investigate that.

The room was lovely with a terrific view over the countryside. A super stay in the quiet of the country. The view is sunrise 🌅 from the bedroom window. Super and relaxing!

• Alan (9/5): Good base for cycling, walks or to explore the battlefields of both world wars - Lovely location in the heart of the countryside surrounded by beautiful fields and forests. When we arrived later than expected, we were greeted by a young member of the family who took us in and went to fetch the host. Alas the French I know was learnt in school almost 60 years ago but despite Isabel saying her English wasn’t great; it was far better than she realised as we had no trouble communicating. Our room was pretty and spacious, the bed super comfy, there was a great shower and breakfast was lovely. Plus, our hosts recommendations of going to Le Mouton Noir on the nearby Luxemburg border for our evening meal were excellent as we had the best meal we had managed to get on our inbound and outbound journeys between the UK, and Italy and hubby ate one of the best chocolate mousses he has ever tasted. Sadly, we only stayed for a single night as this would have been a great place to explore the battlefields of Belgium and a great base for bike rides and walks so we would have no hesitation in going again if we had more time for a longer stay, however it was a bit remote for a single night when you are only passing through especially as the local roads were undergoing repairs so there were road closures and detours everywhere, though that was not our hosts fault.

• Marco (10/5): Mrs. Falmangne could not have been any more friendly, I thoroughly recommend the stay! - Mrs. Falmagne has created an amazing and very welcoming environment in her home with a focus on sustainability and comfort. The rooms are very beautiful, spaceous and quiet and the breakfast was exceptional, with local jams, marmelade amd chocolate creams, organic yoghurt, and cheese from the Orval trappist Abbey. The only negative thing that comes to mind is that the fan in our bathroom was a bit noisy, but this should be a quick fix with a new bearing. ;)
