- RAJIV (10/5): Excellent location, great hospitality and great vineyards - Mary and Terry are amazing hosts and took excellent care of us. Right from picking us up at the airport, going back and forth to Queenstown, they went our of their way to help us our and make sure we are taken care off. This beautiful property is located among the vineyards and one can easily walk to the 3 vineyards in the sub-division. The quality of pinot noir is at these locations are quite amazing. If you love vineyard visits, this is the most amazing place. The gracious hosts also provided and excellent cheese and wine tasting each evening and a wholesome custom prepared breakfast each morning. In summary, we have stayed in hundreds of locations around the globe, I would rate this among the very best, if not the best. Nothing. We did not have a vehicle, but I think having a vehicle would be an added plus if one wants to visit other vineyards further away.

The hosts were absolutely amazing, they make you feel so welcome, breakfast was amazing and an absolute highlight was the wine and cheese at night, to be enjoyed with the hosts and the other guests. Bonus: they have to most amazing and friendly dogs. Will definitely visit again! -

And to top it off, the breakfast options were fantastic as is their cheese and wine platter every evening. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Gibbston Valley and will definitely be coming back.

Superbly appointed facilities with the added benefit of both standard and electric bike hire available for extended vineyard, bungee jumping and zip wire experiences. Didn’t stay long enough!

We got to try the local wine which with great company. Because Mary and Terry only rent out a couple rooms at a time it felt very personal, and good for getting to know everyone. The outlook from the house is incredible, we were in awe the whole time. Beds were comfortable and the shower was a perfect pressure. Nothing, it was perfect.

Extremely friendly hosts offering cheese platters and wine/beer in the late afternoon and amazing breakfasts each morning. They were also very knowledgeable and helpful in regards to the area and local vineyards. We were also welcomed by two very cute little dogs. Definitely recommend Gibbston House to anyone wanting a bit out luxury while exploring the area.

In an absolutely stunning idyllic location amongst the vineyards about 30km away from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown, hosts Mary and Terry make you feel right at home with welcome drinks and nibbles in the evening, a hearty breakfast in the morning, and lots of conversation and laughter in-between. Eleven out of ten stars!

- Douglas (10/5): Home from Home - Fabulous owners who make you very welcome to their wonderful home. Our night there was a great way to end our experience in South Island. A very quiet location a short ride from Queenstown but with a few very nice Wineries and Restaurants close by.
