Guest Reviews
- Harish (6/5): - Na
- krishna (10/5): - Close to Guruvayur temple : very convenient:
- Neelakandha (6/5): - Excellent vegetarian breakfast, very friendly staff.
Yet, we were quite disappointed by the appalling conditions of the facilities. In the room, everything looked worn out, bedsheets, towels etc appeared really in bad, worn out condition. Even the coffee cups were not clean and heavily stained. Until these are rectified we cannot imagine ourselves returning again—notwithstanding the nice restaurant and friendly staff.
- Rajan (8/5): - Building is getting old. Convenient for visiting Guruvayur temple.
- Sarath (6/5): - I recently stayed at your hotel for two days. While the first day of my stay was pleasant and satisfactory, I would like to share some concerns I faced on the second day, just before checkout.
My access card unexpectedly expired, and I was unable to enter my room. Additionally, I experienced repeated power outages shortly after returning to the room. I'm unsure whether it was due to a technical issue or any other reason, but it did cause inconvenience during the final part of my stay.
I wanted to bring this to your attention for your review, as I believe feedback helps in improving services further.
- 773nishan (2/5): Terrible experience - AVOID this place and do not go here!! I am visiting from USA, booked 5 rooms with family. Terrible experience starting with lack of courtesy from front staff to duty old rooms. It's not worth the price they are charging. The towels were old and dirty, we were overcharged for extra beds after paying high amount! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone
- Narayanan (8/5): - Very near to temple entrance, very courteous staff, good parking,
Exterior of the building, and some interior areas like corridor, room interior too needs refurbishing, looks old, considering there are other properties looking spic and spack clean
- Baburaj (6/5): An aging but clean property - A favourite hotel from decades ago at walkable distance from the temple. Now showing signs of age. Though looking outdated, still maintained clean. Friendly and helpful service.
- Bharat (8/5): - genset noise
- Sunil (2/5): - Was very disappointed that they kept the rooms and bathroom very dirty!!! Had to move to a different room which was equally bad
- Viswaroopan (6/5): - Positive.
Coming from US and First time staying at Krishna Inn. Close vicinity to the temple is best. Morning breakfast is amazing. Had lots of choice and kept clean and hot. Front desk and personal were very helpful.
Negative.
Property is very old not maintained very well and not kept clean. Lots of construction going on. Rooms were not clean and no proper electric plug access points near the bed to charge your phones.
Obviously only a hype about the property. Overall I would give 5 out of 10 and not a high star worthy.
- Inspire67145620916 (4/5): Not recommended - We checked into the Executive room for 1 night on our visit to Guruvayur on 11 Jan'24. The room was overpriced and way below standard. In the middle of the night, there were at least 3 power disruptions which made it very uncomfortable after paying a huge amount. I have been using this hotel for many years but this time was truly disappointed with the standard of the room.
- velukuttyr (2/5): Money first attitude; customer unfriendly - I had my daughter's wedding held at Radha Madhavam Hall in Aug 2024. The Management is very keen on generating revenue and not very interested in the satisfaction of their clients.
Not a very satisfying experience with the folks; I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless they're desperate to find a place to conduct their events....
Unless the Management makes an attempt to change their vision to have a "Customer First" attitude, their presence and survival may not be sustainable....
- 830jagannathk (4/5): Lost its sheen. Unworthy for the price - I had been a regular visitor to this hotel every year when I visit Guruvayur temple. But this time my experience was really bad. Staff were uncourteous, room telephone was not working; not worth the money spent. Though it claims to be three star hotel but it does not look so. Not sure if there was any change in management. I can see the difference in quality and service between last year and this year. I definitely would not visit this hotel again.
- Neelakandha (6/5): - The place has gone down in cleanliness. Bed sheets don’t look washed, coffee cups were dirty and so on.
On the positive side, the staff were nice and helpful. Dining area was clean, well maintained and the food was decent.
- Lornette (8/5): - The service.
- Escape11965869208 (2/5): DON'T BOOK A ROOM HERE - THEY CHEAT YOU - DON'T BOOK A ROOM HERE.
Ok, I am from the USA. I stayed 2 days in this hotel. The plan was with breakfast. They only gave one day breakfast. So I went to the reception and asked. The guy in the reception, without even checking my reservation just blurts out that it is only one day out of two that you get the breakfast. IT IS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY OR THE BREAKFAST BUT THE ARROGANCE SHOWN BY THE FRONT DESK GUY THAT I CAN'T TAKE. Also, they took my money and promised some services but then they went back on it. I called these people and told my issue afterwards and the manager just took my phone number and didn't call back. Meaning they don't care. Be very careful with these people. I never had such an experience in my hotel stays anywhere in the world. Also, the room was just ok. There is construction happening and lot of leak etc. and the hallway is really crooked.
- 2833girishk (10/5): Krishna Inn...where devotees are served - I had booked a substantial number of rooms at Krishna Inn, to host my relatives and friends, for my daughter's sangeet and wedding ceremonies,
The planning for the same was facilitated by Smt. Mini Madhavan, who was very direct and professional in her approach. Since, this was a destination wedding, we were totally dependent on the services of Krishna Inn and the vendors appointed for decoration, music, wedding arrangements and food and beverages led by Shri Sarin.
I was completely stressed out as the D day approached, which was compounded by heavy rains on 31 May 24.
All i can say is that Lord Guruvayoor manifested in these persons of Krishna Inn, who ensured everything went well..
I am eternally grateful to the staff and management of Krishna Inn for their grace, understanding and service.
The sadya served at the wedding ceremony was well received by guests.
Awaiting the photographs, which takes a long time in this part of the country. Mau
Guruvayoorappen bless them all.
- Rajan (8/5): - It's a decent place to stay if you are there to visit Guruvayoor temple. The temple is walkable distance maybe 5-10 min. We are visiting this hotel after 5 years, and the property has aged. However they have kept in clean. Restaurant has decent food.
- 752kavithas (6/5): Not happy - Parking is plenty and easy to get.
But the treatment by the front desk staff was a bit mean.
They tend to avoid giving eye contact which I assume may be because of my old parents with me.
The reception looks nice. But the building is old and got a musty smell everywhere which is very hard to bear.
When you think of the price of the room and the amenities it provides, you cannot reason the price they charge and the service you get. So choose wisely. It is your hard earned money after all.
Inside of the room, everything smelled and looked old. No freshness at all. The pillows and mattresses are old, and the sheets have not seen laundry. The towels do not absorb water. Their good days are long gone.
But the room is clean - but old.
The food is average.
The elevator is old and rusty.
But the staff especially at the restaurant were courteous, friendly and were helpful.
I will stay away from going there next time I visit Guruvayoor.
- Neelakandha (8/5): - Staff were very friendly and most helpful.
Overall room is okay and spacious
Linen and towels appear old and worn out
Food (dosa and vada) was really nice and tasty
- Kunapuli (8/5): - Nice budget hotel which is required for many on piligrimage. Staff were very cooperative.
- Pankajdoc (6/5): Avoidable unless you have to be living in the temple lane and real close. - The only plus point is that it’s close to the Guruvayur temple.
Starting g at the beginning - you should have no trouble finding the place. Parking is ample.
The check in was smooth and hassle free.
The problem comes when you talk about the rooms. They “smell” old and musty. The pillows and mattresses have e seen better days. The towels do not absorb water. They were once white and fluffy.
But the room is clean - but old.
The food is average -
The elevator is old and rusty and squeaky and makes you into a praying person even if you are an atheist
The staff is courteous and helpful
- GShekhar (4/5): STAY AWAY - the hotel is a construction site !!! - The hotel is under repair and loud construction drilling happening all the time during the day
I requested that they stop work but while front office say it will
Stop the guys drilling don't stop
Made 3 trips all
Afternoon trying to fix this issue .. but work was not stopped though I requested it be stopped till 5 pm ( a rule followed even in housing societies )
Reluctantly have come to conclusion there really don't care about the guests
They have successfully ruined a family trip
And ensured guests are disrespected .. even though the staff themselves are polite
Please Stay away from this hotel .. I think the construction work will go on for atleast 1 year as one of the lifts is also under repair
- Venu Gopalan (10/5): - Friendly staff. Overall upkeep of facilities very good. 4th visit to this place. All very good experiences
- SRINIVASAN (10/5): - Amazing Service. Always big-smiling faces of the staff - from all the way from Security, Door men, Front Desk staff, House Keeping to Restaurant Attendants. Incredible hospitality from offering Grape Juice at the time of arrival to saying good bye at the end.
- P (10/5): - The service was top class! The food was great and so was service in the restaurant. Overall the stay was pleasant and memorable. This was also steps away from the temple!
- Sathisan (8/5): Stay at Sree Krishna Inn - Sri Krishna Inn is a centrally located hotel. It is near the East Nada of Guruvayur temple. On foot, it takes just 5 to 7 minutes to reach the temple.
The rooms are large enough and clean. The food was also good. The employees are friendly and always willing to help.
- Ravindran (2/5): Stay at Krishna Inn, Kerala - Krishna Inn
While the lobby maintained a reasonably clean appearance, our experience encountered some concerns during our stay. The elevator had an unpleasant odor, and the rooms lacked adequate ventilation. The condition of bed sheets, pillows, and bath towels left much to be desired. These issues extended to the restaurant as well. In summary, the hotel would greatly benefit from a significant rejuvenation, encompassing improvements in appearance, ventilation, maintenance, and laundry services. It's challenging to justify its current 3-star rating based on our experience. Regrettably, this hotel won't make it onto our list of preferred places to stay in the future.
- 968seenam (2/5): Terrible stay at Krishna INN - We had booked the premium rooms, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, especially to senior citizens as these rooms are in another wing, with no lift access. Despite paying for premium, the towels were old and dirty, which shouldnt be the case even in the regular rooms. Another thing I noted this time was that the food was not fresh, and felt like it had been refrigerated and reheated multiple times. Pathetic experience this time, not returning here next time.
- Jishnuram (6/5): - Each time I visit, I can see that the property's condition has gone down. Usually, I only care a little about the condition of hotels in East Nada of Guruvayoor since the purpose of staying during Guruvayoor visits is the convenience of walking to the temple. However, what I felt terrible about in both rooms in Krishna Inn was the bucket in the bathroom full of mold and the sticky towels that needed to be washed properly.
- Anil (4/5): - Not well maintained
- Ailam Venkateswaran (8/5): - Good family friendly hotel. Helpful staff. Walking distance to Guruvayur temple. For people who cannot walk, 20 inr by auto to Guruvayur temple and 50 inr by auto to Mammiyur temple.
- Nisha (8/5): - Good facility and walkable to guruvayoor. But could have maintained a little bit more . As a frequent visitor, could see a decline in the amenities considering this is a 4 star hotel.
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Staff was always pleasant and helpful. Hotel steps from the Temple. Good breakfasts provided.
- Rajesh Chandran Sheebanivas Ramachandra (10/5): - Absolutely wonderful
- cakeskumar (8/5): Needs some improvements - I had made the booking through Cleartrip and there was no hassle during late check in. We were allocated rooms in the new wing. The rooms are large but there is a defect in the room that we were allocated (424). One part of the room is at a higher level with the tile colour being same in both the levels. So from certain angles it looks like a continuous floor. I missed the difference and had a fall spraining my ankle. It was then that I realised that a fall caused by the design can be really dangerous and even fatal for aged people. I made a suggestion to the hotel to rectify the fault before anything bad happens. Apart from the this, the room was comfortable and clean.
I found that the quality of buffet breakfast and lunch at the restaurant needs a lot of improvement. We did not get any Kerala specific dishes like Puttu and Appam on both the days. There seems to be a lack of application in deciding the menu. I hope the management corrects this flaw and make Krishna Inn the best in Guruvayur once again.
- Seaside23391301853 (6/5): Pls come hear - Inn their hotel of choice when visiting Guruvayur. Providing an ideal mix of value, comfort and convenience, it offers a family-friendly setting with an array of amenities designed for travellers .Inn their hotel of choice when visiting Guruvayur. - chronicsightseer (10/5): Nice and decent place to stay during temple visit to Guruvayur - Stayed at Krishna Inn at Guruvayur. Walking distance from the temple. Comfortable rooms, clean washroom, attentive staff and great parking space (if you are on a road trip). Good vegetarian food (essential during such trips). Overall a nice place to stay.
- Benzelal (8/5): - Over all good… but need to maintain the cleanliness. Restaurant is really amazing and good food
- Venugopal (10/5): - Proximity to temple; overall facility
- Jaiganesh (6/5): - It is a good property which seems to have rooms in two sections (main building and an extension or addition of some sorts). The extension definitely needs some work. Hot water wasn't working and there were ants everywhere.
Hotel staff were good. Sheets & linen were good. Rooms in the main building did not have any of the problems mentioned above. Restaurant food was just about average
- Roysn1967 (10/5): Very good - Had a wonderful stay staffs were so polite and decently behaved . Visiting for first time after Covid. All the old staffs were there and all of them recognised us .food was awesome cleanliness was super
- Balachandran Sreeramachandran (8/5): - Nothing special to mention. Maybe, better maintenance will be appreciated.
- krishna (10/5): - Closeness to temple.
- Rajesh (10/5): Krishna Inn - Excellent place, very near and clean. It is very close to the temple a
- amorolfin (8/5): Very comfortable stay - Just a 3 min walk from the Guruvayur temple. Very spacious and clean. Wifi strength was excellent. Room was good and overlooked a lot of green vegetation. Very refreshing to gaze upon. Parking is good. Breakfast was mediocre. Only con there.
- 830jagannathk (8/5): Excellent Hotel but limited food choices - This is an excellent property very close to temple. I had stayed in this hotel earlier also but this time I found that there were very limited food choices. Probably after the pandemic they have reduced their food offerings.
But if anyone is looking for a good star category hotel close to temple, this hotel will be a good choice.
- Sushil (6/5): - Food standards have dropped significantly, pathetic to say the least. Horrible breakfast quality.
- Rajesh (6/5): - Near the temple
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Very bad experience of one night stay - Bed, pillow cover etc very bad, bath towel very old, bed is itching whole night- couldn’t able to sleep
- Infra_mumbai (2/5): Atrocious - This place, Krishna Inn is a place everyone should AVOID. Staff at the restaurant is ill behaved. Checked in on 23rd May. On 24th went to the restaurant for breakfast. Nothing was available and people were waiting for food to be refilled. Took ages for it to come. We left without eating. Cleanliness, the less said the better.
- byjudivakaran (8/5): Nice calm stay - Very near to the railway station, Private Bus stand and the Temple, Large and clean room. Well mannered front staff. Overall a quiet stay at Guruvayur. There was heavy rush for darshan. The special darshan enabled us a quick go around the temple.
- anishapanikar (10/5): The only best available hotel near Guruvayur Temple - "This is tidy, friendly hotel that gives good value for money and the location is excellent! it is just 2 mins walk to the temple. The service is good, the breakfast was great. No complaint from my one night stay with them. The staff were very nice and friendly. Enjoyed staying there.
- vijaysmenon (8/5): Pleasant stay at Krishna Inn - A pleasant stay at Krishna Inn Guruvayoor. Low occupancy during our stay. Nice and spacious rooms does require a little bit of maintenance. Cannot comment on the food as we didn't eat at the restaurant.
- lakshmi (10/5): - Excellent hotel, close to the Guruvayurappan temple which was purpose of our visit
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing ambiance, nice parking facility, good hospitality, nice staff and good reception
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall great place and great hotel.
- Prasanth (8/5): Perfect for family - Excellent service. Great hospitality, good location
- Bala Subrahmanya (10/5): We had a great stay at Krishna Inn - The hotel was very good, very close to the temple, very clean with good food. We enjoyed our stay completely. We will go again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Small safety locker provided did not work as we were not able to activate code.
Fan was not working. But since AC was there and the climate was cold, there was no need to switch on the fan
The intercom was very faulty. Terrible static and disturbance.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I was happy. Main purpose was temple. Go to trichur.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good service and hospitable staff and good location too
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent service & Ambience
Keep the trend going..
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice location to temple and good vegetarian food. Easy parking
- Vijay (8/5): - Everything on the property is old need to be upgraded. Water pressure in the bathroom is not enough.
- Vasuthevan (6/5): Could have been better - I had booked for executivedouble room, however I was informed on the second day after my wife has posted a complaint about the cleaniness of the room (old wing) I was changed to another room in the new wing (executive double room) and that they had been unable to give me the room in the new wing because it was occupied due to a wedding. I would like to now clarify if the new wing where the room that i was given on the second day is what i ought to have been given in the first place. So was there an overbooking of rooms undertaken by Krishna Inn? I would recommend that future tourists who are planning to stay at Krishna Inn to request for the rooms in the new wing.
However having said this, we are frequent travellers to Guruvayur and we have to complement the restaurant ( we keep coming back) for the past few years although we dont stay at Krishna Inn ( to be honest the reason why we booked into Krishna Inn this times was because Devaragam ( clean and nice) was fully booked). However when it comes to food, Krishna Inn supersedes in terms of buffet spread for breakfast and overall dining.
