It is a lovely drive in the area amongst the chestnut groves. Great town and location. We highly recommend the Palace for a relaxing stay.

• Lynn (10/5): A must go to, out of the way mountain area. - The hotel arranged to have a large van pick 6 of us up front m the train station which was quite a distance from the hotel. The driver greater us right on time, loading all our luggage and took us directly to the hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very efficient man who said they had upgraded our rooms to suites, which were all beautiful. We had a mid afternoon meal in their restaurant and the food was amazingly fresh and authentic. Breakfast was lovely too. Fresh, warm delicious pastries and a variety of fruit, cheeses, cereals, yogurts and of course, delicious coffee. Roccamonfino is a small mountain village that is very beautiful but quiet except on weekends during chestnut festival times. A great little getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. We did not have any complaints.
• Boyd (9/5): Great stay, great food, but not much in the way of activities in the immediate vicinity. - There's some great restaurants here including the one that's part of the hotel. People are friendly and accommodating. Also, in all of my traveling experience I've never had such a roomy place before. As a foreigner I sometimes found it hard to communicate with the people. That's likely more my fault than anyone else's but I still want to mention it. Also, keep in mind that I visited in the second half of September and that things may be different at other times.
• Petra (10/5): Totally awesome and comfy - The room ( Junior suite) was very spacious, clean and comfortable, especially the huuuuggeeee showee and very comfy bed. The location, staff, restaurant and bar were excellent. We travelled with our dog and it was comfortable for him too. Thank you.
• Rosa (10/5): The hotel is excellent value for your money compared to other places in Italy. - We were given free breakfast even though it was not included in the price of our room. We had a couple of meals at the hotel and they were very good. The accommodations were better than many of the 5 star hotels we stayed at in other places in Italy! Fabio, the owner, also arranged pick up and drop off for us between hotels and didn't charge us extra even though at pickup he had to wait an hour more. In general, this hotel far exceeded our expectations.

This little hotel in the mountains outside of Naples is an absolute gem! A ten star hotel in a ten star village of Roccamonfina. What a wonderful surprise! If you want to have a true Italian experience visit Roccamonfina. Every restaurant is fantastic. The hotel staff can’t be beat! We had the best meal of our three week stay in Italy at the Palace Hotel in the prettiest village ever! The entire staff will turn out to greet you like a moment from Downton Abbey! They treat you like royalty! Nothing!

We also had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and everything was delicious.

• Karen (5/5): Passable - Great central location. Comfortable bed with good quality linens, duvet and pillow. Nice toiletries. Noise! The walls are so thin you can hear everything from the other guests. In the morning for about an hour tables and chairs were being pulled across the floor making a horrendous noise. Shower not very warm. Parking a long way to walk from the hotel, but perhaps it's different when there's no Sagra.
