- S (8/5): - The bed was comfortable. I dried my cloths on the chair on the balcony as there is no machine cloths dryer.
Some of the staff were kind to me and helped me and some staff did not talk to me and ignored me when I said hello to them.
Staff need to train cleaning staff to never barge into people room without knocking and cleaning should only be done on request of the guest. Cleaning staff should never enter a room without knocking and checking first to see if there are people in the room by speaking first before entering if the need to open the door.
Hotel needs to give correct keycard with aviv displayed on the card and wifi password always written on the card as its easy to forget the password for the WiFi.
This hotel needs to have do not disturbed sign for guest to put on the doors to let cleaners know they do not want to be disturbed.
Some staff were helpful and helped to to sort out my issues.
I had to pay 800 shekels for a taxi to the airport as there was no buses running as it was still rosh hashann holiday and I did not know when the holiday ended.always check when holidays end and check times buses start to run so you don't get stuck and pay for private taxis due to religious holidays with no public transport running. I did not like the cleaning staff coming into my room without first knocking on the door. Two different cleaners came into my room without knocking during my stay and they came into my room without knocking and staring at me in my room without knocking which upset me and hurt me very much. I was dressed in my knickers and vest as it was a hot day and cleaner came in my room staring at me while i was half naked and i was shocked they barged into my room. The cleaner did not say anything to me and walked out and I was half naked and she did not knock on my door first.i was very upset with the cleaner coming into my room without my consent and invading my privacy.i was very upset and traumatised with the cleaner coming into my room so quickly without my consent.
One of the cleaner was horrible to me and when I came outside to tell her not to barge into my room, she gave a bad a scary look and and ignored me and she could not talk and and ignored me and she gave me sign language with her fingers pointing to her mouth and ears indicating she could not hear and speak.i complained to reception about the cleaner and they told me the cleaner has disabilities and could not talk and hear properly. Staff should have told me about the cleaners disabilities in advance. There was no do not disturbed sign to put on the door to tell the cleaner to not disturb me which would have saved me from getting upset with the cleaner coming into my room without my permission. I did not want the cleaner coming inside my room and I was upset with this invasion and invading my privacy.i paid 400 shekels per night to stay here so I deserved better and professional service.
There is no information about the WiFi password in the room and I did not understand the poster sign at reception for the WiFi password as I just arrived and was tired.
- S (7/5): - Bed comfortable and no strong chemical and no perfume used it room. The room was clean i had a lot of ants on the bed and on the floor in the room and noticed there was a hole at the bottom of the balcony door where ants were coming in from balcony door. There was a cockroach in the bathroom. Was difficult to find the door of the hotel as no sign pointing to direct you to hotel to tell you where to go.the hotel was further up the street but could not see the entrance as it was hidden by a large tree and curve of the road made it hard to see the entrance and there was a car park near the entrance of the hotel which blocked the view of the entrance door.
There was no sign of do not disturb sign to put outside the door to request no room cleaning and to let cleaners know you don't want to be disturbed. I was not happy with the multiply of cleaners coming into my room without my permission.
The WiFi password was not written on my key card wallet and had to go back downstairs to request the password as I didn't understand the poster on the wall which said WiFi.
I was given Emily hotel keycard wallet which had thier wifi written on it instead of aviv WiFi password. The wrong WiFi password was on the keycard wallet for the hotel two doors away to the other hotel.
My room keycard did not work a few times and had to go to reception a few times to get my keycard to work and open my door which was electric.
I did not like cleaners coming into my room without knocking.one cleaner knocked and talked to me behind the door in english. the other two cleaners did not knock and came into my room without knocking and I did not like it and I was half dressed when cleaners barged in.
The bin men came to collect the bins outside at 3am and waking me up as the bin vehicle was super noisy and the noise of the bin machine vehicle was so loud.it woke me up a few times.
The round table is the room was small and I wanted a bigger table.
There should be a better shield on the window to block out the sunlight on the windows. There should be window shutters provided to block out the sun coming into the room especiallyin the mornings. The sun coming into my room made me very ill and I needed shutters to block out the strong sun.
- Dafna (8/5): - There is a lot to like about this place, quite street, the staff is helpful, the hotel is dog friendly, and do not charge extra for them. Convinient location.
Will stay again when visiting Tibrerias.
- Avital (3/5): -

- Ruxanda (5/5): -
- Zion (7/5): Good - Breakfast lots of options as much as u can eat cheap and best
- Rachel (7/5): Good -
- Arthur (10/5): Very Good - Very friendly reception, Omri answered all questions and asked what room we prefer and did us everything to feel comfortable during our stay!
- Natalia (7/5): Good - People were very friendly, room was clean and beds were comfy The elevator and people around were very loud at night.
- Daniel (10/5): - A very nice place with very friendly staff.
- Adin (2/5): Very poor - the pictures do not match the room. the hallways were filled with spare mattresses. we paid way way way too much to stay at a place like this
- Joshua (4/5): Not that great - Staff helped us find some food nearby when we arrived. Almost nonexistent WiFi (had to use a specific spot of the lobby to use the WiFi), Dirty facilities, below average breakfast, and not a great location.
- Zsófi980707 (6/5): Overall, it wasn't that bad, but it was not relaxing at all - We were informed on arrival that the accommodation was overbooked, so we were upgraded to a sea view room at the nearby Emily's Hotel, so that's what my review describes.
The breakfast is plentiful, the staff are friendly (although sometimes they like to sit in their armchairs and play on their phones instead of serving), the rooms are tidy. The biggest problem is the location of the hotel rooms in relation to the dining room and the pool, as the noise from these places (breakfast and dinner, children playing, waterfall splashing) is too loud to sleep even on the top floor, with the doors closed and the air conditioning on. Moreover, unfortunately, the room has a view not only of the sea but also of the neighbouring cemetery.
Although it's not entirely the hotel's fault (perhaps there should be a code of conduct?), the behaviour of most of the guests was appalling. At breakfast, despite the spacious space and the few persons, people were pushing and shouting, and during Shabbat the children were running up the stairs and playing football in the corridors all day while listening to music and shouting.
All in all, we think it was not worth the value for money, we booked a much better hotel in Jerusalem for the same money.
- David (10/5): - Nice reception by the staff. We very much enjoyed this hotel and the breakfast is excellent.
- Daniel (7/5): Good -
- Juan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leeora (6/5): - Good view of the lake
- Richard (8/5): The hotel is very clean, breakfast (included) was very good, and buffet dinner had great choices. - the staff was always there to help. very clean facility and room.
- Marie (8/5): we enjoyed our stay very much. - staff was friendly and helpful. nice bright rooms with a view of the lake. close to all amenities.
- Claire (9/5): Superb - Everyone including the parrot was extremely helpful and gracious.
- Lynn (8/5): sWe very much enjoyed the area and the hotel. The beds was divine! - Tanya, the receptionist/host was so very helpful, giving info regarding hiking, visiting kibbutz, and beaches to visit. A lovely lady! the Friday night dinner was a bit of a disappointment. The fish was overdone and the dishes were not labeled so had no idea of what some might be.
The bathroom was through the dining room from the pool, so a bit of an issue if dripping wet.
- Andreas (8/5): friendly and accommodating - Car battery was empty one morning. Very helpful and uncomplicated has bridged me a hotel employee.
- Yi (7/5): Nice hotel on the shore of the Galilee - After checking in the Aviv hotel, the boss asked us to Check in with Emily next door. In fact, the quality of Emily's hotel should be better than Aviv, so this evaluation is actually based on Emily's hotel. The buffet and breakfast at Emily's are good and the front office staff is friendly.
- Erika (8/5): Great location - Location was excellent, breakfast is great
- Susan (10/5): comfortable and convenient with excellent food and extremely kind and helpful staff thank you To Dar - we were up graded to the hotel Emily which was lovely . food was outstanding
staff were incredibly helpful especially Tanya and Elijah Huge thankyou nothing
- Francis (7/5): Good -
- Vitaly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nina (7/5): Nice apartment - The apartment was little but equipped, the bed was very comfortable. Great location, 5 minutes walk to the sea and to all the restaurants. The breakfast was in the nearby hotel and was great. The reception was very nice and always there to answer. We arrived early and received the apartment right away, there was an available parking space without charge.
Great value for the price👍🏻 The apartment wasn't perfectly clean (color of the walls, the floor), the door to the bathroom didn't close well (apartment 204), we expected (and asked) for dishes to eat with, in the apartment, also the sponge was used a lot before we came and there wasn't soap for dishes at all.
- John (9/5): Great room with view of the Sea of Galilee - Close to boardwalk, boat trips and all the best downtown shopping and restaurants. Free parking. Friendly staff. The door locks are very dated, easily pried open but there is a safe for valuables. I had to ask for plates and forks for our kitchenette.
- Elisa (7/5): Good - The staff was nice, and the hotel was close to the city centre. Beautiful view over the sea of Galiliee.
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Reinaldo (8/5): Very good - Wonderful place. Great breakfast. good location, quiet neighborhood.
- Chen (8/5): It’s a nice stay with sumptous breakfast. Staff were nice. - it’s clean and have some kitchen utensils bathroom floor get wet when you did shower but it’s bearable
- Oren (9/5): Superb - location - for sport event.
- Magda (6/5): Good stay with basics what you need. nice location, not the cleanest kitchenette but rest good - The rooms where just what you need. it was greatly located close to the sea and other shops. easy check in The kitchen wasn’t really well equipped with what you would need, even for basics and all the kitchenette wasn’t clean.
- Dempsey (1/5): old, tired hotel, stunk like cigarettes & rude staff - if you’re racing Ironman it’s close to the swim start but that’s about the only positive I can give. the hotel is OLD! the rooms are like something you’d expect from back in 1970’s . the staff were also rude & unhelpful!
they have also taken the payment twice from my bank! when I approached the receptionist he pretty much yelled at me for 15mins about how they haven’t! 1 is a holding amount that they take for when people don’t turn up! I can’t see how this is MY PROBLEM? i tuned up & paid and am still yet to have the other amount put back in my bank 2 days after checking out! leaving me £700 out of pocket.
- Artem (8/5): Very good -
- Lorne (4/5): not very happy. - location, breakfast was great, woman at the desk was pleasant and helpful male staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. room was run down and not very clean
- Einav (7/5): It was available so we took it - Clean room,
the bathroom was ok we prepare a shower We did not like the breakfast place so we did not take breakfast even though we paid for it.
There was a lot of noises from outside not soundproof windows
- Xiaowen (5/5): the price is too high - Good location, good breakfast
The staff is also ok and very kind to supply me one crib The sanitary conditions are not very good, there are hairs on the towels, there are small bugs on the bed, and the facilities are very old
- Paulo (8/5): Very good place and conviniente located near many restaurants and attracctions. - The front desk hotel guys were very helpful, the very good breakfast at Emily Hotel, the overall cleanness and location. Though Emily Hotel was a short walk, it would have been more convenient to have breakfast at the Aviv, our room could have a bit more personal touch, amenities to make it cozier.
- Cintiapelisario (10/5): Exceptional - Beds, shower and view from the room to the Sea of Galilee... all very good. Breakfast at another hotel next door and it was very good. In the room there was a full kitchen, with sink, refrigerators, microwave and electric kettle with tea and coffee, I recommend. Parking in front, always free
- Leonardo (2/5): Very poor -
- Mauricio (1/5): Bad - I was double-charged and neither the hotel nor booking.com solved my problem
- Anton (1/5): Bad -
- Ricky (8/5): Nice stay , good location. Part of the night staff very unfriendly and not helpful. - Good location nice stay It was a good value for the money.
(7/5): Good - nice, clean, big room breakfast at another hotel, 100m by foot
the bed was not so comfy, mattress too soft and and sleep was not good
- Vit (8/5): Very good - Great location with a beautiful view of the Sea of Galilee, very clean room, the breakfast was really delicious The staff didn't pay much attention to us upon arrival, but they were nice in the end.
- Annemarie (8/5): Very good place to stay especially for the location and the price! - I liked that there were 3 single beds in our room as most for 3 people in Israel have 2 and a sofa sleeper. I liked that we had a kitchenette with a large refrigerator. The breakfast was in their sister hotel next door and had a large variety of food! There was also a balcony which helped when drying clothing. The manager in charge at breakfast was hovering over us and pacing back and fourth a lot. He was not very friendly either. I stayed here 4 years ago and the atmosphere was much more pleasant. I did not like that they made our two twin beds a King by using one large sheet and blanket. We were not able to separate our beds like we did last time.
- Arnold (9/5): Superb -
- Shmuel (2/5): Very poor -
- Olga (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joe (8/5): Very good -
- Mami (4/5): Disappointing -
- Arnold (9/5): Superb - love breakfast
- Laurie (1/5): Don't stay here. - View was good. Location was good. Dirty, staff was rude or asleep. Breakfast was non existent. Hotel was dated and junk lying everywhere. Staff was asleep on the couch in the morning when we came down from our room. We were highly dissapointed in the hotel.
- Simon (9/5): Great Place near the Lake! - We were with 6 and got room 102 103 and 104, three rooms sharing a huge roof terrace overlooking the lake! Our rooms all were big and had three singels beds, a kitchen with frige, airco, a bath room with toilet, bath/shower, free soaps from the Dead See, Very good over all! Aviv provides free parking, which is great. Breakfast was excellent, the best ever in Israel. It is served till 11 a.m in the Emily Hotel next door. They speak a bit of Dutch at Aviv :) Nothing, we loved this place. A few steps away from the lake and the old town of Tiberias. We could not make use of the small swimming pool of Emilys Hotel. But that was not an issue: we did some swimming in the Lake.
- Lisa (2/5): - Misrepresented in pictures! Don’t stay here.
- Michael (10/5): - Relaxed, felt personal and homey, nice view of the lake. The people were very nice and tried to help in every way that they could.
- Naomi (4/5): - Terrible white lighting, very poor decoration
- Sara (6/5): - It was good
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room was dirty. Hadn't been swept, sheets had hair in them. Breakfast was disappointing, not worth extra charge. Slow internet, almost unusable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This property is literally in the middle of the city. Everything is walkable: the old city, the new city, the souk, shopping, dining, etc. It was a most delightful experience and we would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice rooms and good breakfast at the hotel next door. Very convenient to the waterfront. Easy access to the main roads, but parking was tight.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I got here on a holiday, everything was closing down. Property was good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location and helpful staff. The only slight negative was that going to the breakfast area at the hotel next door we had to walk through a dirty and untidy area- but the breakfast available was very good!
- Amy (8/5): Great Breakfast - The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options and the boardwalk was just a short walk away. Friendly staff but a bit loud.
- Adee (4/5): Don't stay here! Photos from Hotel.com are fake - My family and I travel very often and stay at many hotels. When I say this place is a lie, believe me. There is no connection between the photos they have on hotels.com and Trip Advisor vs reality. I think staying at a hostel is even better. This is a total scam and not ok to ruin a vacation like this.
Air conditioned barely works, everything is super old and nasty. They beds are all singles pushed together. It was just embarrassing. Of course when I called Hotels.com to refund me so I can go to another hotel, they said they couldn't. The balcony which is discussing and nowhere near the direct site or the Sea of Galilee which they promote
Is total BS too. It’s not even walking distance. First
4 photos are the reality. Don’t stay there
- Per (2/5): WARNING - Don't book a room - I have never stayed in a hotel that have so dirty as this one. They had not even changed the sheet on the bed in my room. After hard argumentation in the lobby they did that at 00.30 after midnight. The other room my partner stayed in had two beds where one had the same condition as my bed, even hair in the bed from former guests. The person in the lobby is the most in polite I have met, what was he doing there that destroy the first impression so badly. NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!
- Brenda (8/5): Place to sleep on comfy beds in air conditioning - Air conditioning and beds were great. Run down furniture/fixtures and not so clean though. We stayed in a quad on the first floor. Balcony was filthy, floors dirty, some utensils and dishes had to be rewashed before using. There was a microwave but beyond that there was an ancient looking hot plate that we dared not try. Front desk staff inconsistent in helping us with some tourist questions.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Mooie nette kamer, mooi uitzicht, zeer goed ontbijt
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Breakfast is good, the room was clean but dishes and glasses dirty/used. The hotel needs some care/maitenance/pinting to improve the apperance.
- ANA REGINA (6/5): - Great hospitality. The owners are very kind and helpful. The room and bathroom very small and need renovation. Cleaning is OK.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Horrible experience. Was accused of double booking which was very incorrect in every way and I was told to pay for 2 rooms when I have only booked one. I stayed there for 1 night only and payed for 1 room in cash. I agreed with the staff that I would talk to wot if and arrange the cancellation of the second room which I never booked and therefore had no reservation code, so no payment was agreed and they were ok with this arrangement. As soon as I left the hotel, the staff tried to get money out of my card without my authorisation in 4 small transactions as if trying small amounts to see if the card would work. It was 3 amounts of $20 + 1 transaction around $16. Clearly not the accommodation total amount. Clearly trying the card out without my authorisation in a very dodge way. This is robbery! Avoid this dodge hotel at all costs. I am opening a formal investigation against this hotel and I demand the money that was stolen from my card back.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Spartan but really all you need for the price. - We stayed in a small suite with kitchenette and a bedroom with one full bed and on twin bed. Everything was adequate but quite spartan. Management was classic Israeli - not helpful at first, but ultimately willing to get us what we needed with a bit of persistence. Breakfast quite nice. Location very good.
- Dan Viktor (6/5): billigt men dårligt - Slidt hotel men store værelser. Morgenmaden (på nærtliggende hotel) er god. Elendig wifi som konstant falder af. Ekstremt tynde håndklæder. Vinduer lukker al lyd ind.
- sheryl (6/5): Tiberius hotel - The hotel is older but the room was large and comfortable. You have to ask to have what you need replaced. ie.... TP, soap. The fridge was dirty, but they replaced it right away. The housekeeping is just not thorough. I mean the bed was made and the floors were clean and towels replaced, but that’s all. So we were fine It is in a run down area but close to food and shopping. The breakfast is amazing!!! Roy was awesome!! Price was right!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Recomendable - Muy bien
Cerca de todo
Y bastante cómodo
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Verified traveler (10/5): - People are friendly and the breakfast was really good
- Margareta (8/5): Liten ort - Liten ort med mysfaktor. Hotellet trevligt. God frukost.
- Maung (10/5): - Beautiful place walking distance to everything. Nice room and view. Very good service.
- lawrence (6/5): Give it a second thought - Not a bad hotel butt would rated as a 2.5 Star. The neighboring buildings are pretty dilapidated . But it is in a safe area .
- Joe (10/5): - A very basic room with many extra features. Great location in the old city of Tiberias. Beautiful views of the sea and mountains. Shower and jacuzzi are top notch. Friendly and helpful staff.
