Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (2/5): - No cleaning no enough food in the morning breakfast old rooms and treat you very bad
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Pleasant , very helpful staff . We had a lovely one night stay on the way between Rila Lakes and Sofia during the summer period . We were charmed by the interior design with a lovely wood work ( tables , chairs , fence , etc) of a recently deceased local artists .
- Gary (6/5): Great breakfast! - Good location, great breakfast, miserable rude staff but you cant have everything!!!!
- Tachel (4/5): - The hotel was close to the slopes , it was clean and reception area was quite pleasing . We arrived at around 9 pm Friday night - we had paid for three nights half board but were told there was no food that night - eventually they said we could eat but charged us extra for the meal . The food was awful . I broke my leg during the stay and returned on crutches after 24 hrs in hospital - not a single member of staff asked what had happened or helped me . In fact one woman stepped round me sitting on the hotel steps with an utter look of disdain . We booked our skis through Expedia with another hotel and reception claimed to not know where that hotel was .... it was the Alpin - right on the slopes . We needed help to send images of my CT scan to the insurance company -they told us their computer was broken and couldn’t advise us where we might find one that worked . The service was the worst I have ever come across since travelling in China in 1989 .
- Sanya (8/5): - Good location and value for money. Food was really good. The thing I didn’t like was there was a smell of sewage almost everywhere and they didn’t have a kettle in the room. Still, for the money we paid, it was quite good
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place in Borovets - The hotel location is excellent. The room is very comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My review is honest based on what i saw and experienced.
The hotel took our passports which i was not sure about and later found out they should only need a copy of it.
However aside from this the hotel was very cheap compared with the next best thing, you get what you pay for and for the money the hotel was good.
- Steven (10/5): Borovets Ski Weekend 2020 - The hotel is ideally positioned for skiing. It’s located close to bars and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only slightly negative comment is that breakfast isn’t served until 8am, which makes you late the ski lifts starting at 8.30. It would be better if breakfast was at 7.30
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Have stayed at this property before cannot understand why sometimes it gets bad reviews, the rooms are cleaned everyday, the welcome is good, the new year dinner and dance was great.
The rooms are functional as you would expect, it's not the Hilton Park Lane but then again didn't pay for the Hilton Park Lane!
Very good stay!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff at the hotel were very professional and accommodating, but the hotel owner was disgusting. It was appalling to see how she treated her staff, basically treating them like trash. It turned out, to no one's surprise, that she is the widow of assassinated Bulgarian organized crime boss Bai Mile and had inherited the hotel from him after his demise. We felt for the staff, who were being degraded by her in front of hotel guests. This woman has no business running a hotel.
- Thomas (8/5): Better than expected! - Expectations were low but we were pleasantly surprised! Breakfast was really nice and the rooms were clean and spacious. The communal areas were great with plenty to do. Some areas did smell of smoke and some of the staff were miserable but overall we would stay again for sure!
- edel (8/5): Hotel moura - Enjoyed our stay staff nice and friendly hotel warm and comfortable great location only thing could improve on food very basic but didn't bother us as there is loads of places to eat.. Would stay again..
- Verified traveler (8/5): Brilliant value for money - Amazing value for money! Perfect for skiing as it’s close to the main gondola and town. However you do get what you pay for. Hotel doesn’t look like it’s been touched since the 70’s. But when it’s just somewhere to sleep for a cheap few days skiing it’s fine.
- SIMON (8/5): - Very good location , hotel is ok ( REMEMBER it is not expensive ) , service ok , food is ok ,rooms ok , but bathrooms do smell ....not the most modern , but offered great value for money
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Hotel STINKS of cigarettes, there were people smoking inside at 9am with their morning coffee.
One lovely receptionist, the others conveniently stopped speaking English when our hot water stopped working.
Would I go to Borovets again? Maybe. Would I stay here? No chance.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Prachtig gelegen hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Budget hotel near the gondola, close to center, do not go half board meals served cold, we only ate in the restaurant once but checked each night, if the restaurant was esle where it would been closed. The room was warm, very limited cleaning, no bath tub as advertised
- Verified traveler (10/5): Recommended - Conveniently located - close to bus stops, cable cars. Large clean room. Quiet for good night sleep. Staff friendly, responsive and accommodating. Good value for money.
